"Kaaaaammmmmmiiiii, quit staring and just go talk to him."

"H-Huh? What? Wh-What are you talking about, Mina?" Kaminari turned so fast his neck cracked, and he groaned in pain, dropping his head onto the tabletop.

Across from him, Mina rolled her eyes and thumped the back of his head. "You're so obvious, Kami. You've been staring at that guy for the last fifteen minutes."

"I-I have?" He tried to play dumb, which was normally easy for him, but even he knew he wasn't about to get away with this one.

As if to prove that point, Sero burst out laughing from beside him. "You're such a gay disaster, bro."

"Aw, come on guys, he's probably just scared. It doesn't really look like that guy is too sociable. He's always alone." Kirishima tried to defend him, but then Bakugo snorted from where he was leaning up against his shoulder, scrolling through his phone.

"Fucking coward." He muttered, earning himself an elbow to the side. Bakugo grunted, but ignored it and went back to his phone. Kirishima truly was a sorcerer when it came to dealing with the fiery blond. If anyone else had tried doing that, Bakugo would have bitten their head off.

"You should go for it, Kami." Mina grinned, practically bouncing up and down in her chair. "He's always in here at the same time we are. That can't be a coincidence. Maybe he likes you too."

"Or maybe he likes someone who works here." Sero tapped his chin. "I'm pretty sure there's a barista who has a shift every time we're here."

"You're not helping!" Mina cried, thumping his forehead before returning to Kaminari, who still refused to lift his head.

"Don't listen to Sero, Kami. He's--"

"Oh my God." Kaminari suddenly sat up, golden eyes wide. "What if he's straight?"

"What if he's bi?" Kirishima suggested. Kaminari groaned again, returning his face to its rightful place against the tabletop.

"Kaaaaammmmmiiiiii, come on." Mina poked his cheek. "Just go talk to him!"

"You'd better get the fuck up and go talk to that loser before I lose my shit, Dunce Face."

"You know what? FIne!" Kaminari pushed himself away from the table and onto his feet, forcing a confident grin on his face. "I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna go talk to him!"

"Atta boy!" Mina clapped. "Go get your mans, Denki!"

He ignored the cheering of his friends and started approaching the table the guy was sitting at. He really was hot, despite the dark shadows under his eyes. He had a half-full coffee mug sitting beside him while he worked on something from a textbook. Kaminari couldn't see the title of the book.

He came to a stop a couple feet from the table and took a deep breath. "Uh, hey!"

The guy nearly fell over in his chair in shock as Kaminari announced his presence so suddenly. When he'd righted himself, he looked up at Kaminari, who grinned and waved cheerfully. "Sorry about that." He said, laughing sheepishly. "I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's... okay, I guess. Uh...what are you doing over here, though? Do I know you?"

"Nope!" Kaminari grinned again and pulled out the chair opposite from him, sitting down. "My name's Denki Kaminari! I'm a freshman at the community college here in town."

He nodded. "Oh, okay. I think I've seen you around before. And I see you in here all the time. My name's Hitoshi Shinso."

"Shinso!" Kaminari exclaimed. "It's really nice to meet you!"

"Uh...yeah, you too. But...why are you here again?"

Kaminari's grin began to falter. Here was where he entered dangerous territory. He supposed he could just come right out and say, "Hey, I'm gay, and you're really hot, do you wanna go on a date with me?" but he was worried such a direct approach might scare him off.

Instead, he decided to go with a casual laugh and shrug. "I just wanted to come introduce myself to you is all. You looked lonely over here by yourself."

"Oh...well, thanks I guess." He was about to say something else when suddenly Mina passed by the table and leaned over conspicuously.

"Don't listen to his excuses." She whisper yelled with an obvious wink. "He thinks you're hot and wanted to ask if you were available."

"M-Mina!" Kaminari's voice raised at least six octaves, and his face was probably the color of an apple. Mina scrambled away after giving them one last smirk and another wink. Kaminari groaned, slumping face-first onto the table.

"Well," Shinso began awkwardly. "Y-Your friend seems nice."

He sighed and started to get up from his seat. "I'm sorry. I...I should go, this is just awkward, I--"

He was surprised when Shinso reached over and grabbed ahold of the sleeve of his jacket. He turned around to look back at him only to see that he was facing the floor, and his face was flushed.

"You don't have to leave." He turned his face even further away now. It could have just been Kaminari's imagination, but the tips of his ears seemed to be turning red. "It's okay,"

Kaminari grinned and settled back into his chair. "Alright then, cool! So--"

"The answer is yes, by the way."

"Huh...what?" Kaminari tilted his head to the side in confusion.

"The answer is yes." Shinso repeated. "When your friend walked by, she said you were wanting to know if I was available. I...the answer is yes."

"Oh...oh!" This time it was Kaminari's turn to blush. He awkwardly scratched at the back of his head and tried to play the whole thing off with his trademark goofy smile. "I, uh...well, you see--"

"Damn, you're kinda stupid." Shinso shook his head.

"H-Hey!"

"Sorry, but...I mean, what kind of person is dumb enough to not realize someone's saying yes to a date."

"I...you want to go on a date with me?" His voice seemed higher pitched than normal.

"Yes, dumbass." He was definitely flushed as he turned back around to face him. "The truth is...I've been coming here at the same time you have for a few weeks now. You're always over there with your friends and such and you just always looked like a really fun guy to be around. Not to mention that you're cu--" He cut himself off, but Kaminari wasn't about to let that go without a bit of teasing.

"That I'm what?" He asked, leaning over the table with a smug grin. "What was that again, Shinso? I don't think I caught that."

Shinso shook his head and stood up. "You know what, forget I said anything. I'm--"

Kaminari laughed and stood, moving to toss an arm over the purple haired boy's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll stop. Oh, and by the way, I accept."

"Accept what?"

"Your offer of a date, of course." Kaminari grinned.

"But I didn't ask...you know what, never mind." He shook his head again, but Kaminari could see a small smile on his face.

"Great!" Kaminari grinned and removed his arm, instantly wanting to put it back but restraining himself from doing so. "So...Saturday at six work for you? We could meet here."

"Yeah..." This time, he definitely saw a smile. "I'll be there."
