**sets to Gwen's perspective**

Gwen's POV:

During the last few days, Trent and I have been adjusting to an unexpected split lifestyle and preparing for the new season of reality TV.

Although our living conditions are not convenient, we've managed to settle some complications.

I just hope our plans for this season are effective.

**switches to Trent's perspective**

Trent's POV:

Gwen and I are slowly adapting to bizarre situations and random incidents that are known to recur for active contestants.

We've tried our best handling the "unpredictable" and nothing really bad happened so far.

The two of us are prepared for tomorrow and I think we're taking the right actions.

The new season of reality show competition started and the contestants arrived at a film lot beside a campsite.

"This location looks different from the previous film lot we stayed at during Total Drama Action, yet I wonder if this is the same one that just happened to be remodeled and relocated." Gwen commented.

"I was thinking the same thing because I recognize the setups and props." Trent replied to Gwen.

"We did use parts of the same set from TDA. It's just that this place is new and designed as a hybrid style camp." Blaineley told them.

"So it's a literal 'film camp'?" Duncan asked sarcastically.

"I think you could call it that." Blaineley replied to him humorously.

"No pun intended." Duncan remarked.

"That's the same old Duncan we know of." Courtney noted.

Blaineley had the contestants settle down for a moment so she could start the game plan.

"Alright, I've made a head count and everyone is here. Please find a spot in the gender divided trailers and unload your bags." Blaineley said to the contestants.

Gwen had to devise a strategy for her daughter's care because she couldn't share the same trailer with Trent.

"Since the trailer tenants are separated by the contestants' gender, we will have to take turns looking after Erika and switch between places she'll stay overnight." Gwen told Trent.

"She will be sleeping next to you or by my side on different nights and her collapsable bed will have to be moved from one trailer to the other at certain times."

"I think this arrangement will work". Trent agreed with her.

They then got into the separate trailers and unpacked.

3:30 PM—

The female contestants were settling down and having a conversation inside their trailer before the first challenge was going to be announced in the evening.

"I noticed Gwen brought her baby along and she must have a reason for this." Amy commented.

"Gwen told me about this yesterday and I know why; though I think it's her decision to reveal specific detail." Courtney replied to Amy.

"I can't reveal the full story, but I have a brief explanation." Gwen said to the other girls.

"It had something to do with several critics not knowing about my marital status and family; and they wanted some of the best competitors back on the show." she informed them.

"That's an unexpected disappointment. At least you're not in a situation as bad as Dakota's." Amy presumed.

"Dakota actually admitted she's being treated slightly better this season, and she has been partially cured off her mutation." Gwen mentioned.

"Surprising to hear." Courtney thought.

"The critics should probably choose Samey as an intern next." Amy mocked Samey.

"No way! I came here to play the game and I refuse to be pushed down." Samey yelled at her sister in disgust.

"There's no point for the two of you to fight. So please calm down." Gwen advised the twins.

"My twin is going down if I make the merge!" Amy and Samey both declared.

"Looks like our trailer is already having some friction. I wonder how the boys are doing." Courtney pondered.

3:50 PM—

Trent was conversing with Cody in the male contestants' trailer.

"It so happed that I became a participant on reality televison again this year because of what was written on some paperwork." Trent told Cody.

"I'm guessing this is why you and Gwen are on the show even though you have a child to care for." Cody assumed.

"Pretty much it." Trent answered.

"I doubt that most of us are actually excited to compete; can't say the same for daring contestants who want a another chance at the mil." he acknowledged.

Duncan randomly stepped in to talk.

"Hey you two, sorry to interrupt but I came to warn you about Mike's alternate personas." Duncan said to Trent and Cody.

"Does this regard to 'Mal' in any way?" Cody asked.

"In some ways yes. Mike's alternate personalties have become more unstable since the last time we saw him and his triggers are more unpredictable." Duncan frantically responded to him.

"Mike is somewhere behind the trailers. Please give me a moment to speak with him myself." Trent told them.

He then went outside to find Mike.

Mike was bickering with Scott when Trent found him.

"I heard you quarreling with Scott about the past seasons you competed in and I need to talk to you about your condition." Trent said to Mike.

"Uh, which one in particular?" Mike asked hesitantly.

"I don't know if Duncan was exaggerating, but I just wanted to make sure your personas are not out of control." Trent said further.

"I hate to tell you this, yet it's unfortunately true… four of my alters came back and their responses became more sensitive." Mike replied sincerely.

"Even though Mal hasn't popped up, there's still a chance he could return."

"Cody and I may be able to help you stay in check when challenges are not being held." Trent aided him.

"Just prevent the slightest set offs that will turn him into Mal." Scott said eagerly.

"I'm afraid it won't be that simple." Trent explained.

The boys then realized someone wasn't at the trailers.

"Has anyone seen Topher?" Cody asked the others.

"The last time I saw him he was talking to Blaineley in the mess hall." Scott said.

"By any chance is he still there?" Cody asked again.

"That, I can't be for sure." Scott replied.

"Obviously, checking the mess hall would be the only way to find out."

"Let me see if he's still in there." Trent said.

He then left the trailer area and headed for the mess hall.

Scene at the mess hall; at 4:15 PM—

Trent reached the mess hall and saw Blaineley putting random edible ingredients in the kitchen.

"Topher is not here and Blaineley is putting together some sort of challenge for us." Trent said to himself.

"I better head back to trailers."

Both the female and male contestants met up.

Trent noticed Topher had returned to the trailer area when he was at the mess hall.

"Everyone is here now. I wonder where Topher ran off to earlier." Trent pondered.

"Well, I was practicing my close-ups then I ran into Blaineley." Topher revealed to the others.

"Good thing you made it back before Blaineley was going to announce our first challenge; or we could have risked disqualification." Amy said to Topher.

"Sorry about that." Topher apologized.

Gwen came up to Trent to speak about her evening plan.

"I contacted Dakota while you were talking to the others and she said she will be able to babysit Erika during this evening's challenge." Gwen said to her husband.

"It appears that our plan for this season was successful." Trent inferred.

"What type of challenge do you think Blaineley has for us at 5:00 PM?" Gwen asked Trent.

"I had a look at the mess hall kitchen today and I think the challenge involves cooking or baking." Trent replied to her.

"That doesn't sound like something cruel; glad Chris isn't the host." Gwen reckoned.

"I'd say the same thing." Trent conjectured.

"We've got a few minutes before the challenge starts. Let me get Dakota over to the girls' trailer." Gwen said.
