Chapter 16

Kushina looked at four scrolls that lay on her desk. She hoped that they all would agree to come to the Chunin Exams in a couple of months and that she wanted talk to about alliances and peace talks. Also she wanted to talk to them about Wiseman and the Doom Phantom. She lets out a sigh as she pokes at the stone colored scroll.

Zabuza walks into the office and looks at her. "What are you doing?" He question her.

Kushina looks up at him from her own thoughts. "I am not sure how these peace talks would go with all that is going to be coming." She told him.

Zabuza sits on the edge of her desk. "Well with all you told me at first. I'll be honest. I thought everything told me was nuts. But there what I saw in the Land of the Wave with your daughter and her friends. Well now I know there is more going on there then we know." He said with a smirk under his mask.

"Haha. True. I would have thought I was nut as well." Said Kushina as she smiles as she looks at him with a soft smile. "But why are you here?" She asked him.

"I came to tell you that everything is going well with the Chunin Exam set ups." Said Zabuza as he was taking to his new role of Jonin and house arrest well. It did suck he was going to be stuck in the village until after the Chunin Exams, but it is what it is and there was nothing he could do about it.

She just nodded her head as she looked out the window that was off to the side. "Very good. After I look at these four scrolls, we will know who all is entering the exam." She told him as there was a knock at her office door and in walked in a woman with mousey brown hair up in a bun and brown eyes in a white blouse and black pencil skirt. "Hokage-sama here is a scroll from a new village called Oto wishing to join the exams." Said the woman as she handed over a black scroll with a small music note with a snake wrap around it. Kushina narrowed her eyes at this and nodded her head as she took the scroll with one of her chakra chains. This put Zabuza on guard for there was no reason for her to use her chains to take the scroll.

"Thank you. I'll look at it now." Said Kushina as she smiled at the woman and said woman bowed and left the office to go back to her desk. Her task was finished and now she had other work to do.

"Why did you use your chains to take the scroll?" Question Zabuza as he was now standing beside her. He was ready to attack anything that came out of that scroll.

She looks up at him and back at the scroll. "If you look closely you will see a King Cobra wrapped around the Music note that is on the scroll. There is only one person I have ever seen add that little detail to scrolls he signed and sent to anyone." She told him as few more chains move around the scroll and a barrier appears as two of her chains open the scroll as a King Cobra appears from the Scroll hissing. "My Massster wisshesss to join the examssss." The cobra as it vanishes in a cloud of smoke.

Kushina narrows her eyes at this. "What's your games Orochimaru?" she questions as she moves the scroll closer to look at the information in it. Three teams would be coming from Oto with their Jonin Senseis to take part in the Chunin exams.

Zabuza growls. "So the old snake is coming out of hiding?" He asks.

"It appears so. Makes me wonder what he has up his sleeve of his. For the 3rd isn't in power and Minato is long gone." Said Kushina as she looks at the photo of her late husband and the other kages.

Zabuza places a hand on her shoulder. "Whatever it might be. I will be by your side." He told her.

"I will be there as well sister. My sons will be ready by then as well." Said Nelehenia as she appears in the office from the window.

"I know." Said Kushina as she looks to the other scrolls. Now that the fun was over. It was time to get down to business and look at what the other villages are planning.

Ame

Pein looks over at all the people before him. From behind him he could feel Tobi watching him from the shadows.

"Our plans for peace will soon begin. We must track down where all the holders of the tail beast are at." Said Pein as his strange purple eyes looked down at all those below him.

Wiseman

Wiseman sat in a dark room in between worlds. His crimson eyes gaze into the crystal ball watching the world around him. It was different his pets wouldn't fare well against these 'Shinobi'. He was going to have to come up with a plan to take many of them out and fine the Silver Crystal. He felt it a few days ago but it was quick. Not enough time to find where it was. If only he still had those two brothers. He would had found them soon. But that was no longer.

"Soon I will have you little Rabbit." Said Wiseman as he faded into the nothingness of the room as a man appeared from the floor watching him. Zetsu was ordered by his master to watch over this wiseman. For no one trusted the man.

Leaf

Kushina looked over the other scrolls and saw each village was sending 1 to 5 teams each to take part in the exams. As well Kumo had their Jinchuriki who will be taking part in the exams as well as well The Raikage's brother will be in the village as the sensei as he is the host of the eight tails.

Kushina just sighed. "This is going to be troublesome." She said to no one but could hear giggles from the female ANBU that was from the Nara family hidden in the shadows.

"This is going to be a Chunin Exam for the history books. If that snake bastard is going to be in the village during the exams. I will have to make sure all the civilians are in the safe houses. Just to be safe." Said Kushina as she was writing something down.

Coast of the Land of Waves

"We will be taking this boat here to the Land of Whirlpools. But before we can cross the whirlpools, I will have to open the hidden gate for safe passage for us. That is what is making me wonder how Gato got people over there. Unless the Whirlpools are down." Said Naruto as she looked at the others as they bordered and over at the Captain as he nodded his head to the girl standing before him.

"Yes, Madam just let use know where to stop." Said the Captain as he walked away from the girl to get the ship ready to go for the long trip to the long-forgotten island of the Uzumaki clan.
