Hi everyone, just to let you know there IS an update, but instead of furthering the story we've returned to its roots!
Volume 1 chapter 1 has been complete rewritten from the ground up, and explores more in depth into Alden's life on patch, his friendship with Yang and Ruby, the Cirq family as well as showing a bit of the wild resourcefulness people keep claiming people from Patch have, this will also help with the upcoming chapters later in volume 2 and beyond. So yeah, treat it as a new chapter and go read it! Hopefully you will learn a lot from it, and it will help set the standard for what this story will become!
So if you're still hear I would just like to point out that the upgraded chapter is nearly three times as long as the original so I really have packed it full of useful insights about daily life on Patch, as well as some of it's history. There's a lot more interaction with Yang, Ruby, Mary as well as his parents as well, the introduction to Aegan has also been improved.
To actually put it into perspective if you put both chapters side by side, by the time you finished the first one and then read the same amount of words into the second Alden hasn't even got the letter to accept him into Beacon yet. It also helps explain how the hell Ruby just pops up at Beacon and not a single person thinks it's weird that there's a fifteen-year-old at what essentially is a university.
So yeah please go check the new chapter out and please tell me your thoughts about it, as well as how this story is going. I must admit the last few chapters are candidates for big rewrites too, because they seem a little off and not quite have the feeling the story had before.
But I'm rambling now so I'll let you get to it, so don't forget to tell me your opinions!
