A month have passed since the formation of Kion's Lion Guard and much have changed. Kion have became an strong and passionate leader to his Guard and try his hardest to do the right thing. Sometimes, he seek conclusions to conflict to his grandfather, but other times he would ask his mother and sister what is the right thing to do.
His father have apologized to him and the lion cub gratefully accept it. After another unfortunate trip into the Outlands on one of the missions, he met Jasiri and the two worked together to get the golden cub back to the Pride Lands after singing an catchy song.
Right now, Kion is laying in an middle of a bunch of trees, allowing the sun to silk his fur making him sigh with relief. He is getting to use to this life despite all the rules and really missed it.
Just then, Kiara walked up and lay beside him. "Hello, Kion." She greeted.
"Hi Kiara," Kion greeted back. The golden cub then decided to tease his sister. "Do you have any reason of disturbing my sleep?"
Kiara smiles sheepishly. "Is it too bad to say hello to my little brother?!" She demands.
"Yeah, now goodnight." Kion states, before he begin fake snoring which made his sister chuckles and lay beside him. "Oh boy." he whispered, flipping around and trying to get some sleep. "Is this lioness going to let me sleep?"
"No, get up." Kiara's voice were his sister's response. "It past dawn. You need to get out of this stage."
"Ok, I will get up in ten minutes if you can leave me alone." Kion said grimly.
Kiara shook her head. "No, you need to get up now." Kiara states, hitting him on the face making him glare at her for a second before closing his eyes.
"I'm trying to sleep and you keep waking me up." Kion said irritated. "Can I get five more minutes, lioness?"
"No! Up now!" Kiara commanded. "You yet to eat and you know that you have patrol in twenty minutes!"
"Ugh, fine." Kion gave in standing up on his paws, no wonder Tiifu and Zuri barely argue against her. She's just so persistent and you can't win against her even if you tried. Kion had an feeling that subjects are going to have a difficult time when they protest against her or whatnot.
Before Kion was about to go on patrol he walked with the three. He knew they were both his friends... secretly he would protect them if should they get in danger.
Speaking of Kion, he just feels like something bad is bound to happen. He can't get the feeling out of his stomach and he felt it getting worse. Though he tried to take his mind off of it by spending time with the girls.
"So do you three have any cruel plans today?" Kion questioned, smiling slightly to shake his mind off. He was referring to the pranks they played onto him which he always anticipated but sometimes allow it.
"No, you're off today." Kiara replied.
"But don't think we're finish." Tiifu added.
The four cubs begin laughing but their laughs were cut short by the form of an hornbill. "Prince Kion, Princess Kiara." Zazu said abruptly, flying down to the King and Queen's cubs and landing infront of them. "Your parents demands you back to Pride Rock. You two should..."
While Zazu was busy lecturing the two cubs, Kion had an idea and bended over to Kiara, Tiifu, and Zuri, and whispered something to their ears. The three look hesitantly at first but knew Kion was smart enough to play this game.
"Zazu, you do realize one day Kiara would be your Queen." Kion said slyly, clearly having an plan plotted right at the minute.
"I'm afraid not yet, young Prince." Zazu says, hitting Kion's on the nose. "And you do realize one day you would have to married either Tiifu and Zuri."
The three cubs stick their tongue out in disgust not yet fully understanding tradition due to just being cubs while Kiara let out a low giggle. "Well, when I'm Queen, I can change it all." Kiara says prideful.
"Not if I'm around." Zazu says.
"On that case you're fire." Kion declares, giving the majordomo's a sheepish grin.
"Hmmm, nice try." Zazu states, pecking Kion in the head with his wing making him slightly sneeze. "But you're not future Queen and only the Ruler and heir can do that. Even if Kiara wanted to fire me, she can't do that because she's not Queen yet."
"Well, she is the future Queen." Zuri reminded.
Tiifu joined in. "And he is the brother of the future Queen."
"Yeah, so you have to do what we tell you." Kion agreed, hitting Zazu in the stomach with his paw.
"Not yet I don't." Zazu retorted having an feeling where this is going. He knew there is no way out of this just like with Simba and Nala when they were cubs. "And with that attitude and bad influenced by you, Kion, she's shaping up to be a pretty pathetic Queen indeed." The four cubs gave frowns as they waved the majordomo's off.
"Hmmmm, not the way I see it." Kion said, smiling dryly.

The group dispersed and begin to head to Pride Rock, leaving Zazu behind. Although, Kion knew it would take a few minutes for him to catch up since they have just left him behind in an puddle.
"Ugh, memories." Zazu says shaking himself off as he groaned. "Kings above, those two are their parents children.
"Nice job, Kion," Kiara praised. "We always wanted to do that. Never had the time or guts to."
"How did you think of that plan?" Tiifu asked, raising an eyebrow towards the Prince.
"I wanted to do it all the time to you thre-" Kion corrected his words. "I mean I wanted to do that for a long time to him because he have been an snitch all the time and likes to tell animals what to do."
They then arrived back to Pride Rock, only to be met by the frowning King and Queen. "Sorry, mom, dad." Kiara apologized with the best grin she could have mustered. "Kion wanted to show me, Tiifu, and Zuri something..."
"And I did so don't be mad at them." Kion finished, taking full blame for the three since it was his idea. Just then, a very flabbergasted Zazu flew on the scene and landed infront of the Royals.
"Zazu, Kings above you're late." Simba scolded.
"And you look dirty, you will have to remember too not work to hard." Nala added.
"You know that meeting we have today is important." Simba says sternly. "You need to go get a bath on our way there."
"Yes, sire." Zazu says giving an respectful bow before the King and Queen of the Pride Lands, but still maintain his glare at the Prince and Princess and the friends of the two.
Simba turned to his golden son. "Kion, I need you to watch the girls however." Simba declared. "Some of these Prides have very bad lions who would send their cubs to try and get with girls of this Pride."
"So they follow old tradition?" Kion questioned.
Simba let out a soft nod. "Unfortunately, some of them want to bring it back and take over this land. But we highly doubt they would be able to make it. From what I have heard beside a few exceptions, most of the Prides are respectful to the Circle of Life and it ways."
"Dad, I have a question." Kion said. Simba turned and gave his son an frown, silently giving Kion's permission to continue, albeit his face told him to make it quick. "Why doesn't the Outlands have Kings and Queens?"
Simba's eyes narrowed. "Kion, the Outlanders are full of evilness and most of those animals are predators and won't hesitate to kill you. You must understand not everyone respect the Circle of Life."
"No but dad there is still animals who are out there suffering." Kion says. "An hyena helped me get back to the Pride Lands two times! I feel like if they have a leader and an rightful and neutral one, than maybe things can be peaceful and the Outlands won't attack."
"Kion," the King let out an heavy sigh getting annoyed about this topic. "Everything the light touches is our Kingdom. This is your Kingdom. This is where you live and this is where the Circle of Life rallies on you. I won't always be around so your sister will need you."
Kion bows his head. He wasn't satisfied with that answer. Animals are out there suffering by ones who don't respect the Circle of Life. Each life matters and should be protected.
He knew Jasiri and her hyenas can take care of themselves but defenseless animals are suffering and Kion wanted to do the right thing and defend them and not allow those innocent animals to die.
"Also, Kion, you're off patrol today." Simba declared.
Kion felt the pain in his stomach and rubbed at it. "Dad, do you have to go? I just keep thinking something is going to happen and it's not leaving. It's getting stronger."
"Kion, perhaps you are paranoia." Nala suggested. "Ever since you become leader of the Lion Guard, you have became more serious. Maybe this day off is good for you."
"I'm not paranoia!" Kion's eyes narrowed. He hated the thought of everyone thinking he is crazy. "Something is going to happen! I know it!"
"Kion." Kiara said simply. "Mom, dad, go deal with those another Prides. Kion, just come with me, Tiifu, and Zuri. We go swimming."
"Kiara, can you feel it?" Kion asked rubbing at his head with his paw. "I'm not crazy. I know this reaction. I face it many times before. Something is bound to happen to us."
"Kion, let's just go swimming." Zuri patted his shoulder.
"Have fun kids." Simba says.
"Also, Tiifu, Zuri, your mother wants you back at home by sunfall." Nala told the two cubs. Tiifu and Zuri nodded respectfully and gave bows. "Along with the whole Pride, they will be with us."
After giving their two cubs affected nuzzles followed by "be good", Simba and Nala walked off.
"Greetings, Kion," a voice said. Kion looked up to see his bird friend who had helped him back into the Pride Lands flew towards them.
Before Kion could have said anything to his bird friend, Tiifu stepped in. "Kion here keep thinking something is bound to happen. What do you say?"
"Miss your parents eh?" Huduma teased the young cub.
Kion nodded. "A little, but I keep having this feeling something bad is bound to happen. No one believes me and think I'm just working too hard. But I believe it's something more than that."
"Well, come on," Huduma laughs playfully, hitting the young lion on the shoulder with his wing. "Get up and go play with your sister and... 'friends'. It been a while since we have seen each other so I will come with you."
Kion allowed a heavy sigh to come on his lips. The bad feeling wasn't going anyway but it's not like anyone's going to believe him. What's odd is that he have thought Kiara would believe him but she doesn't seem to believe him.
"Ok," Kion allow more breathes in as he closed his eyes. He knew Huduma is just joking but Kion felt something very serious is going to happen.
In a very deep part of the Outlands, an golden lion with dark and evil blue eyes stood and a evil smile on his face, stood tall. He have been holding back on his plan for far enough and decided he will strike today.
Today is the day to disposed of the second of the King, Prince Kion, and get rid of an threat to his plan. An whole month of planning coming into existence and he decided not to hold back anymore.
With taking out Prince Kion it can aid him greatly. Kion is an major threat and stab to his plan. He had plan to wait until the Princess were older and strike in a few years but then Prince Kion shows up and now plans have to be alternate.
The golden lion begin pacing around fourty hyenas. "Now, my hyena friend, you know what to do. It time to repeat history. Chase the Prince and the Princess at an gorge and start a stampede."
"What if it fails?" The hyena matriarch questioned towards the golden lion. "I mean he's an cub after all. He should be handle easily even with the strength he has. There is no way a cub can fight off an bunch of hyenas."
"I want it to be swift." the golden lion said in a seemingly impatient tone. "If you manage to get the Princess and her friends and eat them, even perfect, but the Prince is the main target."
"Very well." The hyena nodded.
"Good, now go, Shenzi. Inact the plan and remember stampede..." the golden lion ordered. Shenzi nodded before she and her hyenas headed down, with a blue eyes lion smiling behind.
The Prince and Princess has went swimming with their friends. What surprised Kiara is that Tiifu and Zuri also joined in a game with having to catch Kion underwater - though he managed to hid the longest, Huduma like getting himself wet, so it was fun until sunfall begin to arrive.
"It's nice you three manage to find me." Kion says playfully to the cubs.
"I'm surprise Huduma didn't find you." Kiara said rolling her eyes at her brother.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, uh he did find me but we came to an agreement." Kion said smirking mischievous at the flabbergasted looks from the three girls. The three reverted their eyes towards Huduma, who send a sly smile.
Just then, Kion sniffed the air and involuntarily unsheathed his claws. "Kion, what's wrong?" Kiara questioned having seen that look many times before in her brother's eyes.
"Something's off..." Kion muttered. "Blood!"
Just then, Kion was send flying several feet infront of them. Clearly shock, Kiara, Tiifu, and Zuri ran up and nudged the cub, checking for any injury. "Kion, I will get-" Huduma begins but suddenly something lunged to him and knocked him back with claws and teeth were around his neck and ripped into it as he was thrown into the ground.
Shock, he fall to the ground with blood leaving his neck and body.
Getting up, Kion growls and scanned the surroundings, with keeping the girls behind him, being surrounded by nothing but hyenas, knowing the hyenas can easily take them out. He didn't even knew his Guard would be able to take them on.
Suddenly, one hyena - the female, approached with a smile. "Greetings, Prince Kion, we have been ordered to kill you!" the female growled. "Now, die!"
Kion jumped to the side as three hyenas advanced. He was sure had there been less hyenas or atleast five of them he would have been able to take them on, or if he was older. But he is just an cub. Plus, he have hit his head when he landed, he still is lucky to be conscious and glad he could still stand, especially with some injuries to the side he landed on.
Kiara patted her brother. "Kion, run! You can't take him all on!"
Kion knew his sister was right. He ran down with the three cubs taking the lead, as Kion did his best to delay the hyenas for them to escape, by atleast attacking the closest one to them.
Wishing he could have got them in a single position but the hyenas were spread out and could take him out if he even thinks about using that Roar.
What he have noticed is that it all just soon came to a stop, as the four cubs looked at each other. "Are they gone?!" Zuri exclaimed rubbing at her body.
"I think so." Kiara answered staring at Kion for confirmation.
"Why would they attack us?" Tiifu asked. "We weren't even on their borders and they just choose to attack us."
"Hyena smell is still here but not as big," Kion confirmed. "I think something else is happening!"
Just then, the gorge begin trembling atfirst just shakingly, but then much more violently which caused the four cubs to stare at the ground for a moment. Then they noticed a herd of wildebeests came running down towards them.
Gasping, the three girls begin backing up, with the one male being too much in shock to react. "Run!" Kion scream to the top of the lungs, as the four cubs begin running wildly and as fast as she can.
Trying to be brave, Kion made sure the three were infront of him as he ran himself in the back, slowing down because of the injury he just suffered. Unfortunately, the four was not fast enough to outrun the stampede.
Kion had noticed small glipse of Kiara and Tiifu who eventually made it out on a small ledge, though had an small struggle getting on it they eventually did. Running to it, Kion leapt and managed to push upward and got on the ledge. "Kiara! Tiifu! Thank Kings you're safe!"
He exchanged friendly nuzzles with the two girls. He does this a lot with them, of course friendly. "Wait! Where's Zuri?!" Tiifu demands.
"Zuri!" Kiara and Tiifu cried to a small dark tan cub on an unbalanced tree.
Kion's eyes widened as he noticed Zuri clutching for her life. Without hesitation, Kion jumped into the gorge and took a few stomach scars to his torso and all sides due to being an cub despite being as strong as he is.
Finally, making it under the wildebeests, he begin to ran into a direction to where he saw an tree. He now knew the struggles Mufasa went to by the stories he was told and it's quite odd the same is happening to him.
Kion watched as the tree broke and Zuri made it to the ground though immobilized at the moment, but still very much conscious. This is possibly the most foolish thing Kion have ever done!
Saving an girl?! No Kion wasn't saving a mere girl! He was saving an friend!
Putting in fast step, Kion lunged beside Zuri and rubbed her face softly with his paw. She tried to get up but she couldn't. Grabbing onto her, Kion place her onto his back seeing that the best course of action in the circumstance.
Kion tried to find a ledge. Right now, he ducked with an very hurt Zuri and jumped over the gazelle. Seeing an ledge, he barely managed to force himself up onto the ledge and threw her on top, with the two locking eyes.
Kion saw something in her that he have never managed to see before. He looked like he was about to jumped up beside her having seen Kiara and Tiifu running downwards. Just then, a wildebeest made contact to Kion with its horn and forced him across the ground!
"Kion!" Three voices cried out.
The three begin scanning for the youngest cub in the group. They haven't hope nothing bad had happen to him! Seconds later, the three saw a golden flash jumped up and clutched to the side of the gorge.
It is a surprise since he have so much wounds on his body and head pain. Gritting his teeth, Kion begin to forced himself up, seeing ledges onto the side as he forced himself up. Kiara and Tiifu help the weaken Zuri up before following to the top.
Kion tried to make it to the ledges but he continued to climb the top until he was under a golden lion with dark blue eyes glaring down to him. Who was this lion? Is he an Rogue?
Still, Kion called out to him to help him as he slided down, not able to get a good grip. He is clearly a strong cub since he can hold onto this higher side of the gorge and not fall.
"You! You must help me! Please!" Kion pleaded sliding his claws onto the cliff as he begin to slip downwards with rocks. He tried to force his back legs up but the golden cub just couldn't. "I need your help!"
The golden lion lunged forward and to Kion's paws, making him roar out despite being an cub. Kion's eyes widened as he remembered Simba's words told to him, that Scar have once stood over his grandfather.
He knew this is a different gorge, considering it wasn't as big as the gorge that Mufasa have die in, since Kion have seen the gorge for himself.
But Kion is shocked. Was this one of Zira's lion? Have Zira decided to kill him in the most ironic way? Is he going to die just like his grandfather? Then again knowing Zira she would have came herself and attack!
The golden lion pulled him close and smirked darkly and evilly at him. Kion can see the hatred in his eyes. What have Kion done to this strange lion? Kion never saw him before. "Long Live The King!" the golden lion snarled. "Fear not your sister and her pathetic friends will join you soon."
"No..." Kion muttered in realization knowing there is nothing he can do but just stay there, as the golden lion let out and allow him to fall back.
The three girls turned at an ear piercing scream and saw Kion descending to the ground and back to the wildebeests. "Noooooooooo!" the three shouted at their friend... well in Kiara's case - her brother, falling.
"Kion..." Tiifu whispered.
"Is he dead?" Zuri choked out, walking downward slowly as they tried to search for Kion, praying the same fate that happen to Mufasa don't happen to Kion.
"Kion!" Kiara cried, her eyes full of tears.
The three finally found his broken body near a tree. Kion's eyes were closed and wounds were on his body with blood leaving his stomach. The three walked up and patted his body.
"Kion, you gotta get up." Kiara wants to help him but he didn't seem to be breathing. By the way he was looking he had taken an hit to the back of his neck and his back seem to be broken. By the way his paws look, it seems he landed on his paws.
"Kion, we gotta go home." Zuri said shaking him trying to get him up.
"Kiara, Zuri..." Tiifu whispered having see forms of hyenas approaching.
With all the strength they had, the three dragged Kion behind an corner and look over, knowing that if Kion was with them now he wouldn't have want them to die.
"Where the cubs?" the female one demanded. "Simba had ran up to his dead father so should the three cubs to the Prince. Also, where is the Prince's dead body?"
At that moment, the three girls were lucky that their scent was blinded by the gorge smell. For once being force to get their claws dirty, Tiifu and Zuri tried to stopped the blood from Kion while Kiara send dirt onto the Prince, hoping it would stopped the scent.
"Think the Princess and her friends managed to drag him back?" the male hyena suggested.
"I don't know but even if they bring him back to Pride Rock," the matriarch said, an evil smile coming onto her face. "The Prince can't be survive a fall like that. The Princess and her friends will be dealt with in due time."
"I guess it runs into the family to get kill by us; grandfather, granduncle, and grandson." the same male lion laughed evilly. "Mufasa. Scar. And now Prince Kion. No lions beside boss is truly helpful because unlike Scar boss keeps his promise."
"Yeah, let's go..." the female one commands. She gave a loud order which allied the hyenas and they all left the gorge.
"We have to get back home." Kiara said.
"Wait, where's Huduma?" Tiifu noted, narrowing her eyes for the bird.
"We have to find him." Zuri said. "He is Kion's friend."
"You're right, Zuri," Kiara agreed. "If we leave Huduma it would be wrong. Zuri, since you are weaker of us, you try and find him. Me and Tiifu load Kion on our backs. Meet us at Rafiki's tree."
She nodded and ran off. Struggling at first, Kiara and Tiifu manages to get the Prince on their back. "Kings above, Kion, do you have to be this big?" Kiara asked through gritted teeth.
"And I thought you were big..." Tiifu teased in hope to lighten her mood.
Kiara couldn't laugh at the minute like she would usually have but she did let out an small however sad smile. Tiifu let out the same smile and the two begin walking carefully with Kion, trying their hardest not to drop him because it can hurt him.
Zuri have found Huduma in a bloody sight. She was surprise Kion haven't noticed but then again he was trying to survive himself and tried to get them out of there.
Usually not liking to get her claws dirty... figuratively and literally... but secretly making an promise to Kiara, Zuri had took him despite the blood on her paws and brought him to Rafiki's tree.
Meeting Kiara and Tiifu there, they gave each other nervous nods as they entered inside of the mjuzi's tree. "Rafiki!" Kiara cried. "Please tell me you're here!"
"Princess, what is di-" he was cut short by two bodies."Oh dear Kings above!" Rafiki exclaimed, his eyes widened. "Prince Kion! Young Huduma!" Despite not knowing Huduma that much, they met each other once and that was around a day after Kion return. "What happen?!"
"Hyenas attack!" Tiifu cried. "They weren't Janja's hyenas either! These were hyenas out for blood and nearly had kill us! They're grown! We think a threat is lurking into the Pride Lands!"
"These hyenas must be hunted down." Zuri snarled, surprising even Kiara and Tiifu wih the anger in her eyes. "Kion is a friend that didn't deserve that."
"Now easy, Zuri, calm down." Rafiki says wisely.
"Kion fallen down a gorge into an stampeding stampede." Kiara explains. "Please help them. Please."
"Of course." Rafiki says. "Just lay dem down." he motioned to two huge leaves and the three cubs place their respective ones they were holding down, so Rafiki can get to work.
