It was now a year and a half later. Jack was twenty-one, and Rose was nineteen, and they were back in Philadelphia. Daniella and Will were married, and Emma was dating a boy named Ben. Daniella had gotten over the miscarriage and was doing well (she thought the miscarriage was probably for the best, since she couldn't properly care for a baby while being seventeen and unmarried). And everyone was still living in the DeWitt Bukater house.

Daniella and Will were on their honeymoon, so it was just Emma, Jack, and Rose in the house. They were eating breakfast, when suddenly Rose stood up and ran to the bathroom. She felt like she was going to be sick.

Rose was in the bathroom, and she started to throw up. Jack ran after her worriedly and saw the door was locked. "Rose, let me in," Jack pleaded.

Rose opened the door, and Jack entered. "You should go, I don't want you to get sick."

"Hey," said Jack, stroking Rose's cheek. "In sickness and in health, remember?" He then swept Rose up and carried her to bed. He sat with her until she fell asleep.

Right before Rose fell asleep, she looked at Jack. "Thanks for taking care of me. I love you so much."

"I love you too."

Finally, Rose went downstairs and snuck out of the house to see a doctor. She had to get a confirmation for what she thought was going on.

The doctor confirmed what Rose had suspected. Now, she had to go home and share the news with Jack. And she had her plan all worked out.

She got home and found that Emma had left the house. Jack was sitting downstairs. "Hey, where did you disappear to?"

"Just a quick doctor's appointment. I wanted to make sure everything was fine, since I haven't been feeling well. And it is." Jack kissed Rose hello. "Can you do me a favor and grab my book from the guest house? I'm not really sure where it is though," she said. But she knew exactly where her book was, and it wasn't in the guest house. She just needed to buy herself some time.

"Of course. I'll be back in a few minutes."

After Jack had left, it was time for Rose to get to work. She took two pieces of paper and ripped one of them up into six pieces. She wrote one word on each piece, and hid them around the house. She then stood by the door and waited for Jack to return.

"Sorry, I couldn't find your book but-" He stopped when he saw Rose standing in front of him with a huge smile. "What's going on?"

"I have a surprise for you," said Rose.

"Oh yeah?" Jack asked, intrigued.

"Well, it's also a game. I've hidden six notes around the house and you can't open them until you've collected all of them. Do you accept these terms?"

Jack laughed. "Yes, I do."

Jack played the game, and found all six notes. Some were in obvious spots, like behind vases, and others were harder to find, like in kitchen cupboards. "Now, come to the table, open them, and put them in order."

Jack read them allowed as he opened them. "to… are… a… have… going… we…" Jack unscrambled the words. "We are going to have a-"

Rose handed Jack a final folded piece of paper. "Now try," said Rose.

Jack unfolded it to reveal the word 'baby'. He gasped. "We are going to have a baby?"

"Yeah we are," said Rose, smiling.

Jack sat frozen for a moment, and then jumped up and gave Rose a huge hug, taking her off her feet. "We're having a baby! We're going to be parents!" Jack set Rose back down and met her lips in a deep kiss. "I love you so much."

"I love you too," said Rose. "And I can't wait to meet our baby."

Rose and Jack had told everyone the great news, that Rose was pregnant, and everyone was so excited for them. Rose worried about Daniella's reaction, since she had recently lost a baby. They had also gone to the doctor and made sure everything was alright, and she was about eleven weeks pregnant.

Jack and Rose were already so in love with their baby it was unbelievable. Jack still drew Rose every chance he got. And now, he got to draw pictures of Rose pregnant, that he could one day show to the baby.

Tonight, Jack and Rose started talking about possible baby names. Rose had an idea. "I was thinking, if it's a girl-"

"Josephine," they said in unison. They smiled, glad they could agree on that name.

Jack thought for a second. "But what if it's a boy?"

"I was thinking we could name him after your father, Myles," said Rose.

Jack was shocked. Rose never ceased to surprise him. "Are you sure that's what you want?"

"Well, I was thinking we could do both of our father's names, but I don't like the name Richard as much, so then I thought it could be Myles Richard Dawson."

Jack kissed Rose deeply. "I love it, and I love you."

"I love you too," Rose said. "And there is one other thing I want."

"Anything in the world, and it's yours."

"I want to move to Santa Monica," said Rose. "I don't want our child growing up in the toxic society I grew up in. Besides, we always said we would go there. Jena and Alex live there too. Why not now?"

"I agree," said Jack. "Especially now, it would be easier to make the move before you're too far along to travel, or to travel with a crying baby. Why not?"

"Wait," said Rose. "What about Emma?"

"She's seventeen. She can make her own choices. If she wants to come with us, great. If she doesn't, then she can stay behind."

Later that night, Rose went to talk to Emma. She went over to her room and pointed to the bed "Hey, mind if I sit?"

"No, go ahead," said Emma. Rose could tell she was a bit preoccupied.

"Emma, would you mind sitting down?" Rose asked.

"Um, sure," Emma sat, unsure of what Rose was about to say.

"Jack and I have decided that since I'm going to have the baby in about six months, it's time for a change for us."

"What sort of change?" Emma asked.

Rose sighed. "We're moving to Santa Monica."

"Oh, I see," said Emma, slightly hurt. She didn't want Rose to leave! She loved living with her sister.

"I don't want you to think we're just leaving you. You can come with us, if you wanted to. I certainly want you to. But you're getting older now, you can make your own choices. Plus, I'm sure you don't want to leave Ben."

"I want to come," said Emma. "But I don't want to be a burden. Besides, Ben's been wanting to move somewhere else, I'm the one who wanted to stay."

"You wouldn't be a burden. Jack and I both love you. We want you to come with us."

"When were you planning on leaving?"

Rose sighed. "About a week."

"And the house? What were you going to do about that?" Emma asked.

"We'd keep the house and let Daniella and Will stay."

Rose and Jack went to talk to Daniella and Will. They explained that they were moving, and Daniella and Will also said that they had been thinking of moving. They wanted to move to Los Angeles, and start their life together. Rose was elated that they were also going to be coming. That way, she wouldn't have to say goodbye to anyone.

By the end of the week, they were all off. The house was packed up and their belongings were shipped (they kept the house though), and now they were moving.
