Michael POV
My cheeks were still heat stained as Killian walked up.
"Can someone explain?" He asked.
"Which part?" I asked weakly.
"The part of who you are, why you are kissing my best friend's probably girlfriend, and why I'm always the last to know these things?" Killian said.
"I didn't know I was your best friend, Kil," I said in answer. He paled.
"No way," he breathed. "Michael?"
"Unfortunately."
"Why are you a girl?"
"No idea."
"Is Bianca bisexual now?"
"I think she always was."
"You're so short."
"Gee, thanks. Cracker."
"Did you really just call me a cracker?"
"Enough," Percy interrupted before I could retort. He's so annoyingly tall now. I have to crane my neck up to see him, and that makes my back pain worse. Big breasts suck. When Bianca and I were shopping for bras and all that, we learned that I had a bigger breast size than her. Despite my annoyingly small stature, they were bigger than a normal girl my height would have. Who knew that would happen? And bras are so uncomfortable, but so are breasts that aren't contained. All in all, I did not have as much knowledge about the female body as I thought I did. "Killian, Michael was turned into a girl this morning. It's over and done with. He's going to be this way for a while now. Don't tell anyone."
"Got it," Killian said. So compliant, that boy. "Who does know?"
"As of now," Bianca started, "us five, Silena, Lee, Michael Yew, Nico, and Lou Ellen."
"And Luke," Percy added. "He overheard my conversation with Nico."
"And he—she's been this way since this morning?"
"Since around dawn," Bianca added. Killian counted on his fingers.
"Then why have you been gone for almost four hours?"
I felt my face heat up and an uncomfortable feeling rise in my stomach. I hate all these new feelings.
"Bianca took her shopping," Percy lied easily.
"For three hours?"
"She needed new clothes," Bianca supplied. "And she needed to learn how to put on a bra." Killian's face went red.
"I did not need to know that," he said. "I'll be taking my leave now. I need to go dunk my head in the lake." We all chuckled as the son of Hyperion walked away quickly.
"So, what about your powers?" Travis asked. They all looked at me.
I closed my eyes and concentrated before flashing away. When I opened my eyes, I was behind a tree. Naked.
I screamed, to say the least.
I peeked around the tree and saw my friends and brother. Bianca was picking up my clothes that I apparently light traveled out of. I waved to get their attention. Zoe saw me and pointed me out to Bianca. My girlfriend nodded her head before walking over to me. I pulled back behind the tree, covering myself up. Bianca poked her head around the tree a couple of moments later and smiled.
"I'd say you need to practice some more." She said as she gave me my bra. I took it from her and slipped it on before closing the clasp. I took my underwear from her and pulled them on quickly. "And preferably somewhere you won't get caught like this." I glared at her as I pulled on my jeans and shirt. I tried to walk out from behind the tree but Bianca pulled me back. She pinned me against the tree.
"B, I don't think right now is a—" she cut me off with a searing kiss. I tried to push her away but she grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head. When she pulled back I was breathless. "Bianca, not now, okay?"
My hands were suddenly free. I breathed heavily as Bianca stepped back from me. She wasn't looking at me, but rather the ground. I didn't say anything as I walked away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was finally found by Thalia at Zeus' fist, which I thought was ironic.
Apparently, they thought I had up and disappeared from the camp completely. What idiots.
Thalia walked up to me and sat down without saying anything. I was sitting against one of the boulders with my arms holding my legs and my head buried in my chest. I raised my head when Thalia had approached before diving back in.
After a while, Thalia said, "You're going to suffocate yourself."
I responded with, "At least this'll end if I do," though it was muffled. Thalia chuckled.
"Bianca's going crazy, you know?" She said. "She thinks you ran away from camp because of her."
"It's kind of true," I admitted. I raised my head leaned it against the boulder.
"That's what I'm guessing," she agreed. "She's sorry, Michael. Or Mikayla. I don't know what to call you."
"Mikayla for now," I confessed. "It's...it's who I have to be now."
"Minitour dung," Thalia carped. "You're still you, you idiot. Maybe not a child of Aether for now, but is that really you? You're the person who's kind to people who don't always deserve it and to people you barely know. Look at Killian. Percy told me that he called you his best friend and that he was about to stand up for you when he thought Bianca was cheating on you. You met the kid only a week or so ago. Look at Luke. He's kept the secret about your...condition and you've barely talked to him. Mikayla, you're still Michael. Just a woman. It can't be that hard transitioning. Should be easier than getting a new hand." A glance at my marble hand, which changed with me. "And what's so bad about being a woman, anyway?"
"These," I pointed at my breasts.
Thalia laughed. "Those can get annoying, but you learn to live with them. Just wear sports bras. That's what I do." That was when something clicked in my head.
"Didn't you join the hunt?" I asked. "Why are you here?"
"Percy Iris Messaged me to come over to help look for you." She told me. "I asked Artemis and she flashed me over here. Don't worry, she doesn't know about your condition. Be careful when you see her, though. She might try and convince you to join the hunt." I chuckled.
"Who's all looking for me?"
"Aside from me, there's Percy, Silena, Travis, Connor, Nico, Beckendorf, Lou Ellen, and Zoe."
"And Bianca?"
"Going absolutely insane," Thalia admitted. "She's terrified that you're gone for good."
"But I'm not," I murmured.
"She doesn't know that," Thalia said. "If you're not ready to go back and face her, I can go back on my own and tell her you'll come when you're ready. I won't tell her where you are, either. Or, you can come with me." Thalia stood up and brushed off her silver jeans. "And you can tell her what you need to."
I pondered it.
And I stood up. Thalia beamed at me. "Thank the gods I don't have to deal with her alone." I chuckled as we began to make our way back.
When we reached camp, Thalia helped me make it to the Big House without being seen. When we opened the door we quietly snuck in. I heard sobs coming from a room. I followed them and looked through the crack in the door to see Bianca crying. She was leaning against the wall with her head in her hands.
I hesitantly knocked on the door. "Come in," She said. She didn't look up, though her cries were quieter now. "Did you find him?"
"Yes," I said quietly. Bianca's head shot up and my heart broke at her tear streaked face. She looked like she was about to get up but hesitated.
"I'll give you two some privacy," Thalia said before backing out and closing the door.
"I'm sorry," she breathed. "I'm sorry. I...couldn't control myself. I was a pig."
"At least some pigs are cute." I murmured. I sat on my knees in front of her. "I'm sorry for walking away like that. I should've explained instead."
"No, you don't owe me an explanation." Bianca blubbered. "Only I owe you something. I'm sorry I acted like that. It was out of order and you clearly weren't ready."
"I was ready this morning," I chuckled even though I felt my face heat up at the memory.
"Even then, I forced you," she mumbled. "I don't know what's wrong with me."
"Nothing is wrong with you," I told her. I cupped her cheek with my hand. "You're just getting used to this body like me. You love me. You told me so. To you, it doesn't matter what body I'm in, or what gender. You love me. And I love you. Just...try and limit all the touches. The female body is extremely sensitive. Both mentally and physically." She chuckled.
She looked at me in the eyes. "Do you forgive me?"
"Of course I do," I pulled her towards me and kissed her softly. "You're my Bianca. Whether I'm straight or not, you're mine. And I'm yours."
"You're mine," she breathed. She broke into a smile that was way too bright for the daughter of the king of the underworld. "And I'm yours."
"And we know it," I said brightly. "Let's go let the world know it." I stood up and helped her up.
"Am I calling you Michael of Mikayla?" She asked.
"Whichever helps you to go with me to get some sports bras," I grinned. "Thalia says those are useful." Bianca blushed. "Oh, so now you're blushing? What about this morning when you were—" she put her hand over my mouth. I licked her hand in retaliation and she gasped.
"Don't say that," she said as she retracted her hand. "No one needs to know what goes on between us."
I smiled and grabbed her hand. The one I didn't lick. "I can agree to that. C'mon, let's go show everyone we're gay. Technically."
"They won't know the difference," Bianca said as she opened the door and led me out of the Big House. Outside, we found everybody waiting for us. Now that I was a girl, I could see how different we all were. Zoe and Thalia were slim and petite, Silena, Lou, Bianca, and most girls at camp were around medium, or average, though Bianca was a little bigger than most would think. Some girls like Katie and me now were a little bit bigger than most, at least with our assets. And I could check out girls without getting in trouble. Or not, since I'm coming out as a lesbian with Bianca as my girlfriend. But I'm technically straight. I could check out guys, though. That'll be fun.
Bianca and I walked out with smiles on our faces, ready to greet our friends.
Nico chuckled. "At least dad will be happy to know one of us likes girls." Connor shoved him.
"And he'll be happy to know both of you like boys," he said playfully.
"Who's gonna tell him?" I asked.
"Who's gonna tell dad that you're gay?" Percy teased.
"I'm pretty sure he already knows," Lee matched.
"I mean, I'm technically not," I retorted. Then I thought about all the hot guys I had seen while at the mall. "Well, maybe I'm not. But for now, it makes sense."
"Too bad you're missing your favorite part," Silena teased. I shrugged.
"I've got other parts to figure out how to use," I said easily. "Though, being able to stand up while peeing will be a loss."
"At least you can think about other stuff without telling the world," Lou amended.
"True,"
"Can we not put the image of my new sister having sex in my head?" Percy pleaded. We all laughed.
"Hey, Nico," I said. "Where's Will?"
"Probably in the Apollo cabin," he answered easily. "Why?"
"Just wondering if we should go on a double date," I suggested.
"It would be fun," Bianca added. "Just imagine. Going on a double date with your boyfriend and your sister and her girlfriend."
Nico ran into Percy's shadow disappeared.
We all laughed. "Someone's excited." Silena laughed.
"Ow," I laughed. "Why does it hurt when I laugh?"
"Probably because of your breast size," Silena told me. "You should go to Katie for some tips."
"I'll go do that," I smiled at my girlfriend. "Want to come?"
"And see my girlfriend get judged about her sizes?" She asked. "Of course!"
"If any of you see Nico or Will later," I told the others, "tell them they can pick the place and that we are going out tonight. See ya!" I dragged Bianca away, the taller girl stumbling along. It was so different being shorter than her now. The top of my head barely reached her chin. It's weird.
We walked off, planning our date for later.
