Chapter 17: Roman Nights
Marcus smiled down at Haruhi as he watched her sleep on his shoulder on the flight. He ran a hand through her hair, chuckling softly when she nuzzled into his hand. He wasn't surprised that she had slept the entire flight, the night before she was tossing and turning trying to get comfortable and otherwise kicking his ass as a result. He placed a hand on her stomach, smiling softly at the feeling of the twins moving under his hand. Just a few more months and they would be there. Hopefully this would be the last of the group's daring take-offs for no other reason than to do just that...especially since Haruhi had only a couple of more months before she was to be put on bed rest. He looked at his wife again when he heard her mumble in her sleep as she tried to bury her face further into his arm and the side of his chest.
He laughed softly, raising the arms of the seat up as he stretched out across the seats and pulled Haruhi to lay on his chest while covering her with one of the blankets the stewardess had brought him. He looked out of the window of the plane, watching the clouds and birds fly by. He gave a small chuckle at the idea of going to Rome with the others the week of his twenty-sixth birthday. That rabbit really knew how to plan things, coincidence or not.
"Mmph...knock it off you two…" Haruhi whispered.
"Are they kicking harder than usual?" Marcus asked as he rubbed her back.
Haruhi nodded. "Yes…." she whispered not opening her eyes. "Cellie keeps kicking Ryoji...and Ryoji keeps kicking Cellie back."
"Do you wanna have Takashi's family doctor look at you when we land?" Marcus asked.
"No, they're just fighting," Haruhi said. "They know we're on a plane...and they're scared."
"They know we won't let anything happen." Marcus looked down at her. "Let me know if it gets worse though and I'll call them."
Haruhi nodded. "Ok, but I'm sure they're fighting for the sake of fighting," she said rubbing her stomach. "I think Ryoji calmed down, ow! Damn it Cellie stop that! Don't wake your brother!"
Marcus chuckled softly. "You know, you never asked me what I wanted to name the boy."
"Well we both agreed on naming him after my dad," Haruhi said. "Ryoji Ray Sakurai."
"But what if he doesn't look like a Ryoji?"
"How can he not look like one?" Haruhi asked curiously.
"Well, sometimes when you hold a kid they don't feel like the name you picked out. I know Ma told me my name was supposed to be Charles Ray but when she held me she said I felt more like a Marcus."
"Oh..oww damn it Ryoji Ray Sakurai!" Haruhi cried out. "Stop it now! Don't make me...ugh I can't separate you two yet."
Marcus smiled and placed a hand on her stomach, singing to her and their twins a lullaby his Granmere would sing.
Haruhi felt both twins calm down and sighed. "Thank god they're calm," she said. "I think Cellie's getting cramped in there with Ryoji...why else would they fight?"
"Maybe they're telling you they wanna come early."
"Not at six months," Haruhi said. "I won't let them do that...they're not ready for the world yet...they're still growing...they're fine...they won't come until their birthday." she sighed softly and leaned against his shoulder before smiling. "At least the others aren't having trouble with their kids."
"Maybe you're right." He kissed her forehead with a smile and started to sing to her again.
Haruhi smiled before looking across the aisle and snorted. "Hikaru's reading his kid Keroro manga."
"Poor thing's first word is gonna be pekopon." Marcus laughed softly as he rubbed her back. "Comfy?"
"Very much so." Haruhi laughed softly and cuddled him. "So we're meeting Usada at the venue she's at right? When we land?"
"After we drop our bags to the villa." He smiled and whispered to Haruhi. "I convinced Takashi to let us stay in the guest house on the beach."
"Ooh, how nice," Haruhi laughed. "Perfect for you and I...a beach where we married...well a beach."
"For our anniversary we'll have a beach party," Marcus promised. "And you can have all the shrimp cocktail you want."
"Mmn that sounds good daddy." Haruhi laughed before yelping. "Ah...the hell?! What Hikaru?!"
"Change seats with me," Hikaru said. "Chinabi's pissed."
"Dude you see we're stretched out, switch with your brother."
"Kaoru's with the intruder," Hikaru mumbled. "I'm not sitting with her...you guys are better than those two."
"I'll move," Haruhi said getting up. "I wanna talk to China anyway, I need to still get to know my other sister."
"Haruhi you're awesome!" Hikaru said with a smile. "Make sure to keep Chinabi company ok? Oh and tell her I'll be back to read chapter two after she cools down."
"Idiot." Haruhi kissed Marcus and went to sit with China. "Hey China-chan, are you ok?"
"Karu keeps reading this damn frog manga!" China cried as she threw the book at Hikaru.
"Oh…" Haruhi snorted. "It's cute he's doing that, maybe your son will like frogs too."
"I don't want him to like them as much as Karu!" China cried. "I want a semi-normal child like the twins will be!"
Haruhi laughed. "Don't worry he might be normal too," she said. "Have faith China-chan... besides you're not normal yourself...but you don't need to worry, I bet Tokiya's going to be a happy, healthy and somewhat normal child."
"I hope so." China sniffled and laid her head on Haruhi's stomach. She winced and pulled away while rubbing her cheek. "One of them kicked me and it hurt!"
Haruhi frowned. "Cellie Mae Sakurai don't kick people." she said. "Especially your aunt China. I'm so sorry she's been misbehaving all day."
"Maybe she's tired of sharing." China said as she rubbed her cheek some more.
"Cellie will have to wait a few more months to get her own room." Haruhi mumbled. "Kicking me and others isn't going to make her come any faster."
"Maybe...oh well. We'll be landing in five more hours."
"Yeah, then you can cuddle your favorite pillows." Haruhi teased. "I know you miss Usada a lot."
"It's hard to sleep without her. We used to sleep together ever since we were kids."
Haruhi nodded. "And that explains why you're so hard on senpai too." she said. "You're not used to your Anna being so far away...even if it's a different house right?"
"That and Bun-Buns used to follow me and Crawdad everywhere. She'd have her little blanket and follow us all around the house and ever since she met Shitstain it's like she forgot about us some days."
"Then tell her that," Haruhi said. "I know you guys miss her...I've caught Marcus looking at her pictures and he has a few of them on the wall in his office."
"I tried to. She just called me silly."
"Try again," Haruhi hugged China. "And if it doesn't work just sit on her, I'm sure she'll listen then."
"Maybe you're right…" China sniffled softly as she rubbed her stomach.
"Hey don't be sad," Haruhi smiled softly. "Come on you'll get your Bun-Buns back and then you two can double team Hikaru for being a frog obsessed fan."
"Dude you excited to see Rabunzel?" Hikaru asked with a smile as he looked at Marcus. "I'm going to see if she'll let me sit in and play guitar during the show."
"Yeah, I guess I am." Marcus said absentmindedly, looking at the text he had sent to Ayame once Haruhi left.
"Dude, you know what? I think it's cool we all know a celebrity," Hikaru said brightly. "It must've been cool to know her before she became a star...hey maybe you should join her sometimes? You and Haruhi would love jetting around the world."
"Hm? Nah... I'm not much of a stage person…" he said softly, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Really? Well you know I am going to use this as a way to get my big break," Hikaru said. "Give up software development and become a professional guitarist."
"Don't do that. Software development is a steady job. You got a family to think about, not just yourself."
"I know but once I hit it big, I can make more money too," Hikaru laughed. "I gave up my dream to be a rockstar after Chinabi and I met but now I want to try it again and I know she'll support me in it. Our son will be proud of me."
"He'll be proud of you for takin' care of him and his mom and for bein' there," Marcus said plainly. "You're thinkin' you'll make it big but what if you fall flat? Do you even have any savings just in case your dev firm bankrupts?"
"Yeah, I do," Hikaru said. "I mean I've been saving up a lot and my family would help me if it did…. hell I even told Chinabi that if anything happened she could have everything."
"Uh-huh." He looked at his phone when it dinged.
Marcus, fetal movement is normal, it just means your children are happy and trying to get your attention. But as for them fighting...twins do fight in the womb, usually, they're just now becoming aware of each other...but your daughter might be trying to kick your son out of the womb but he's fighting back, and she doesn't like it."
-Ayame.
So, everything's fine? She just kicked my sister in the face when she put her face to Haruhi's stomach.
-Marcus.
The children might've not liked the sudden feeling of a stranger touching their mother. Don't worry it'll pass once they get used to the voices around them.
-Ayame.
Okay, thanks Ayame.
-Marcus.
No problem, if you have any more questions or anything arises just send me a message.
-Ayame.
Okay.
-Marcus.
Marcus put his phone down and looked at Hikaru. "Shouldn't you be sittin' with the chupacabra now? She's calm again."
"Yeah, you're right." Hikaru smiled as he got up and walked back to his seat as Haruhi walked past him.
"She's fine don't upset her again," Haruhi warned and sat back next to Marcus. "Hey."
"So, I texted Ayame," Marcus said as he laid back and pulled her into their previous position.
"Oh? What did she say?" Haruhi asked leaning her head against his chest.
"That all of that fighting is normal since they're probably just now noticing they're not alone. And they get active around the others cause they ain't used to them." Marcus said as he rubbed her back.
"Oh...ok...I should've guessed that." Haruhi snorted. "They're like me...not letting people in until they can gauge how they act...Cellie and Ryoji kick a lot whenever senpai's around...they move a lot too...trying to hide or something."
Marcus laughed. "I don't blame them. He's a walking cluster fuck." He looked at Haruhi and smiled as he ran a hand through her hair. "I've been thinking we should teach the kids other languages. Other than English and Japanese."
"That'd be great, I want them to learn Spanish and French," Haruhi said. "Since Usada's part French and Sally's Spanish."
"I can teach them Creole too," Marcus said. "Along with French and Spanish."
"Great then they'll learn to speak more." Haruhi laughed. "And we could make sure they're well rounded and- ah, Cellie you're awake? You hear daddy?"
Marcus placed his hand on her stomach. "Hey there baby girl, you awake now?" he asked with a gentle smile.
"She heard you." Haruhi laughed. "She's a daddy's girl already and it's cute."
Marcus laughed softly as he kissed Haruhi's forehead. "She just has great taste in men. She gets it from you."
Haruhi snorted and began laughing loudly. "Marcus Ray!" she hit him in the shoulder before laughing more.
"Am I wrong?" he laughed.
"No, you're not."
"I'm sorry the young miss couldn't meet you guys at the airport," Lottie said as she led everyone down the long hallway of the venue. "She's busy preparing for the show on Saturday and right now she's in choreography."
"Yeah, we'll meet you there in a minute. Where's KJ and Carlotta?" Marcus asked.
"They're taking a nap," Lottie said. "They had a long day of playing like they were little ninjas going in the rafters and the catwalk."
Marcus snorted. "Too bad, I was gonna teach KJ another dance."
"They'll be up in an hour or so," Lottie said opening the door to the choreography room. "Ah China-chan don't run in and... ugh...she got her."
Haruhi laughed. "China-chan's happier," she noted before looking beside her noticing a dotted line indicating Marcus was gone too, her eyes softened at the sight.
"Marky! Chi-Chi!" Jenny laughed softly. "You guys I was practicing...it's nice to see you guys. I missed you too."
"Rabbit what did we tell you about not callin' us sooner?" Marcus asked with a smile and a laugh as he watched China snuggle her chest.
"I got busy," Jenny admitted. "I had to catch up on so much, and the shows were so busy...I'm sorry for not calling home." she gently ran a hand through China's hair. "And Chi-Chi have you been sleeping ok?"
"No, I haven't!" China wailed as she cuddled Jenny. "I missed my Bun-Buns!"
"She's extra hormonal today." Marcus told Jenny.
"I am not! Bun-Buns this sucks! You never hang out when your home! You're always off hopping on Ootori's joystick!" China cried. "I want my Bunny back!"
Jenny's gaze softened as she hugged China. "Is that how you feel Chi-Chi? I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you so sad...you hate it when I go off for concerts too?"
"Yes, because you never call anymore! And when you do he," she pointed an accusatory finger at Kyouya, "always interrupts you and drags you away before we can even talk! He sees you every damn day!"
Jenny nodded. "Don't worry it won't happen again," she sent a scolding look at Kyouya before cuddling China. "I'll spend more time with you ok? And you don't need to cry, I'll be home when I finish my tour."
China sniffled and kept crying into Jenny's chest.
Jenny gently ran a hand through China's hair. "Come on Chi-Chi, we'll go to my dressing room and you can help me pack, I am not staying at the resort but rather with you guys ok?"
China sniffled and wiped her eyes. "Okay."
"What about choreography?!" Georgie cried. "Mitski you can't just leave like this!"
"I'll be fine, I know the whole routine," Jenny said leading China and the others out of the room. "Sorry you guys for being so busy. I should spend more time with all of you...so how about tonight we go out for dinner? I'll pay and everything."
"That sounds fun," Marcus said, looking back after getting into a flex off with Georgie and Greg.
"And I'll even stay the night too." Jenny squeaked when she was squeezed tightly by China. "Ok, I'll stay the whole weekend at Takapi's family vacation home."
China smiled as she nuzzled her face in Jenny's side. Marcus shook his head with a small laugh.
"Come on...where's the tanuki?"
Jenny blinked. "She said she was tired so I let her go lay in my dressing room on the couch." she opened the door and pointed to where Haruhi was.
"Y'all go ahead, we'll catch up." Marcus told the group as he walked over to Haruhi and ran a hand in her hair.
"Mark-chan are you sure?"
"Yeah, we'll be fine." Marcus waved them off.
Everyone nodded in unison before heading off to go look around the venue and go to the costume area.
Haruhi yawned and opened her eyes. "Hey…"
"Hey, you rested enough to make it to our home away from home?" Marcus asked with a small smile.
"Yeah…" Haruhi yawned and sat up. "I don't know why I'm tired all of the sudden...I slept on the plane and here."
"They're growing so they need more energy." Marcus smiled at her as he stood. "Want the Queen treatment again?"
Haruhi nodded tiredly. "Yeah…"
Marcus wrapped her arm around his neck as he bent down and picked her up bridal style.
"Thank you Marcus." Haruhi smiled softly before falling asleep again.
Marcus shook his head with a small laugh as he carried her out of the venue and towards the waiting car. He slipped her in before getting in next to her and laying her head in his lap.
"She's still sleeping," One of the maids said to Marcus. "I can go wake Haruhi up for you if you like."
"I'll do it, I need to get my book and glasses from our room anyways," Marcus said with a small smile as he walked up to the second floor of the guest house. He walked to the master bedroom and nudged Haruhi's shoulder gently.
"Go away…" Haruhi said waving a hand. "I'm still sleeping...I was dizzy earlier."
"Have you been staying hydrated?" Marcus asked as he sat on the bed next to her.
"Yeah," Haruhi pointed to the empty bottles of water. "I'm still dizzy...let me sleep please."
"Alright, call me if you need me, we're all on the beach." Marcus said before kissing her forehead gently.
"Ok…" Haruhi rolled over and curled up under the blankets more and yawned before drifting off.
He smiled and shook his head before walking out of the room. He sighed as he joined the others on the beach.
"Hey Marky, is Haru-chi not joining us?" Jenny asked with a small smile. "Chi-Chi you don't need to follow me everywhere."
"She's feeling dizzy so she's gonna rest for a little more." Marcus told Jenny as he set his things down by his chair and stripped out of his clothes down to his swim trunks.
"Oh, Marky didn't you say that Ayame said she had weird things with her blood going on?" Jenny asked curiously. "I mean Haruchi's health during pregnancy is way different than that of the others."
"I know, that's why I called Ayame to take the next flight out here." Marcus waved a dismissive hand. "I would ask Takashi's doctor but Ayame's the only doctor she somewhat trusts."
"That makes sense," Jenny said. "Ayame's actually all of the girls' doctor...well Chi-Chi, Sally, Ren and Mimi's doctor."
Marcus nodded as he stretched and checked his phone to see if Haruhi called.
"Marky it'll be ok." Jenny sat next to him on the sand, she giggled softly and cuddled China. "You have me and Chi-Chi here to help you, and plus we want to be sure Haruchi's ok." She gently ran a hand through China's hair before whispering to Marcus. "Chi-Chi's bad off without me...I really should go home with you guys."
"What about your tour? You have one more city after this."
"It's in Paris, but I can cancel it." Jenny said. "Family's more important to me, I rather have my Chi-Chi happy than leave her."
"Yeah, plus she's a walking hormone cause of Tokiya." Marcus laughed softly as he rubbed his chin in thought.
"I mean I could ask her to go with us but I doubt Hikachu would want to go too." Jenny giggled. "Chi-Chi are you awake?"
China mumbled as she yawned and burrowed into her side more.
"The goat will...just don't let him play the guitar."
"Ok?" Jenny shook her head and moved China's head to her lap. "I'll keep that in mind but I'll run it by Chi-Chi and Hikachu, I don't want them to uproot to follow me...though I do feel bad I ignored Chi-Chi...and you."
"You've never been good at balancing your life." Marcus said with a small laugh. "We do miss you though."
"I'll do my best to spend more time with you guys." Jenny laughed. "I doubt I'll get pregnant anyway so me and Kyo-pon can go on with our lives of not trying to make a baby."
"When you're ready and the others are too you'll have a kid. Don't rush it."
"I won't," Jenny looked down at China. "And Chi-Chi can stop being like a little kid...she can stop preventing me from having one...I know she's been lacing my food with birth control."
"She's scared of losing you any more than she already has. You know how she was when you two moved."
"I know." Jenny smiled down at China as she heard Marcus's phone chime. She saw him pick up his phone quickly and look at it.
Marcus, I can't feel anything on my right side…and I can barely hold anything.
-Tanuki
Marcus stood up quickly and darted back to the beach house, checking his phone to see when Ayame was landing. He cursed softly and texted Takashi to get his doctor on site as he ran through the house and up the stairs to his and Haruhi's room.
"Haruhi!" Marcus said as he ran next to her side.
"Marcus...I can't feel anything…" Haruhi whispered softly.
"Shh, Takashi's calling his doctor unless you want me to rush you to the hospital."
"I'm fine…" Haruhi whispered softly. "It hurts...and I can't feel anything...at all…"
"Okay. Okay, we're going to the hospital." Marcus put his pants and a shirt on, grabbing his wallet before he picked Haruhi up and carried her towards the main house and through it to the waiting cars in the driveway. He laid her down and got in next to her before instructing the driver to take them to the hospital.
Haruhi looked up at Marcus. " I can't feel the twins…" She whispered tearing up.
"Shh, they're gonna be fine and so are you." He gave her his hand to squeeze. "Trust me, I won't let anything happen to you."
Haruhi nodded sniffling as she buried her head into his chest.
"Mr. Sakurai," A doctor said as he walked out from behind the doors as he looked around until he saw Marcus. "There you are."
"How are they?!" Marcus asked as he shot up from his seat. "Are the twins okay? What about Haruhi?!"
"They're fine," The doctor said. "We're giving your wife something to help her blood pressure go back up, it dropped dangerously low."
"It dropped? Is there anything she can take to keep it up for the rest of the pregnancy?"
"We can prescribe a few things but she should be on bedrest as soon as possible." The doctor said. "She's at a high risk right now...I do think after your vacation here you should take her back home immediately and start bedrest."
Marcus nodded. "Of course, can I see her now?"
The doctor nodded. "Yes, her room is the first door on the left." he said with a small smile. "She does have a dangerous right hook so beware."
"Oh yeah. You should see her southpaw." Marcus shook his head as he walked through the doors and to Haruhi's room. "Babe?"
Haruhi looked over at the door. "Marcus…" she whispered softly and sniffled loudly. "I'm sorry…"
"No no no, don't worry about it." Marcus reassured her as he went to her side and wiped her eyes. "You're gonna be fine for now, but they want you on bed rest as soon as we get back to Japan."
"Bed rest...ok…" Haruhi said softly not fighting him on the idea.
"I'll make sure you're comfortable and get you whatever you need."
"Ok…" Haruhi laid back down and turned on her side as she sniffled again and began shaking. "I'm so sorry Cellie and Ryoji...I almost lost you…"
Haruhi heard Marcus sigh softly and stand. Then she felt the bed's side sink down and a pair of large arms wrap around her as she could smell her husband's cologne. She was pulled into his chest, his chin on the top of her head as he sang softly a hymnal. His large hands rubbed her arms soothingly as he held her closer and as he sung she could hear his voice shaking.
Haruhi stayed silent listening to his voice as she sat up and kissed him. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry."
"Don't be." He smiled at her softly, cupping her cheek in his hand and stroking it. "I'm just glad all of you are here with me." He promised as he kissed her forehead and pulled her to lay on his chest again.
Haruhi curled up to him and kissed him again. "I promise I won't...lose our children…" she whispered softly. "I swear I won't."
"Shh, you just get some rest. I'm not leavin' here until it's time for you to get discharged." Marcus promised as he kissed the top of her head, singing once again and softer.
~Saturday~
"Marky, I am not going to sing if Haruchi's still in the hospital," jenny said. "No, I'll cancel the show and be there with Chi-Chi."
"Bunny she's been lookin' forward to watching you in concert," Marcus said with a sigh as he fed Haruhi a spoonful of her lunch. "And you got other fans to think about too."
"I still don't feel right," Jenny put her phone on speaker so one of the costumers could help her dress. "Even Chi-Chi agrees that I shouldn't do the show."
"Bunny," Marcus shook his head. "Do the show, don't do the show, just know that me and Haruhi are flying back before everyone else so she can have a follow up with Ayame before I take her home."
"Ok…" Jenny sighed.
"Do the show," Haruhi said softly. "Please Usada, this is your career and you can't disappoint fans, we'll watch it on TV."
"Um...well…" Jenny sighed. "Ok but if you guys need anything just call me, I'll come rushing there in the middle of the show."
"You won't have to do that because we won't need anything." Marcus promised as he held up another spoonful to Haruhi's mouth.
Haruhi ate the food and smiled at Marcus. "Usada, do it ok? We'll be fine and you won't need to rush off."
"Ok…" Jenny sighed. "Chi-Chi I need help with my hair."
Haruhi heard the phone end the call and then looked at Marcus. "You know Usada's not gonna be focused on anything but us during her show...she'll worry."
"I know, I know." Marcus chuckled softly. "Hey, what week are you again? Twenty-six or twenty-seven?"
Haruhi thought for a moment. "Twenty-seven," she said. "Why?"
"Just curious…" he laughed softly. "I was trying to remember the weeks and birth chart Ayame had given us a few weeks ago and couldn't do it to save my life."
Haruhi laughed. "Don't worry I remember a bit of it." She kissed him gently. "Don't worry our children will be born on time...they're ready to come right now but I won't let them."
"Yeah but when they're ready they'll make you let them." Marcus smiled and kissed her nose before opening her pudding cup. "Your hands still shaky?"
Haruhi shook her head. "No, they're fine." she said. "I can feed myself now."
"Alright," Marcus handed the cup to her. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick."
"Ok." Haruhi said with a small smile as she began eating the pudding. "This is good...really not plain at all." she called.
"Maybe I should buy a batch when we get home." Marcus called back as he flushed the toilet.
"Or not." Haruhi laughed.
"MARKY! HARUCHI!"
The door to their room was thrown open as Jenny panted heavily. She had left her concert in the middle of the third set and left everyone in the audience questioning why she left. Her hair was coming from her buns and her costume was falling off of her shoulder.
"The hell Usada?!" Haruhi cried. "Why are you here? We told you we'd call you if we needed you."
"It's fine," Jenny said. "Are you ok Haruchi? I'm so sorry, I should've cancelled the show. I'm such a bad sister."
"No you're fine, and you're interrupting my birthday dinner." Marcus said with a deadpan expression.
"What your dinner?" Jenny blinked. "Hospital food? No that won't do, let me call in something for you two."
"Usada we're fine," Haruhi said shaking her head. "Go back to your show….well go into hiding…"
"Yeah, why did you bust the door in? Haruhi hasn't gone into labor yet." Marcus chuckled.
"I was worried…" Jenny admitted. "And I felt bad...I mean you guys are here instead of with the others." she looked down at her phone at the angry texts from the hosts, her agent, Lottie, and Kenji. "Ah...um...can I hide in the closet? Everyone's going to murder me."
"Yeah, R. Kelly's not in there."
"Thank you." Jenny ran into the closet and hid.
"Seriously?" Haruhi snorted as she looked at Marcus. "At least we know Usada would put her career on hold for us...it's kind of cute….but we might need to prepare for visitors."
"I know." Marcus smiled as he pushed his food to the side as he sat next to her bed as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap.
Haruhi laughed and kissed him gently before leaning her head against his chest. "I love you so much Marcus Ray."
"I love you too Haruhi Fujioka Sakurai."
"Kenji calm down! Please!" Lottie was heard outside the door. "We're in a hospital remember?!"
"Where is that damn rabbit?!" Kenji shouted in fury.
"Kenji, please…" Lottie opened the door. "Sorry for the intrusion...do you know where the young miss is?"
Haruhi shook her head. "We haven't seen her." she lied.
"Achoo."
"Damn it Bunny."
"JENNIFER ANNE GET OUT HERE!" Kenji shouted in fury.
Jenny laughed nervously as she came out of the closet. "Hey Kenny...ah...your shirt is torn...and your security badge is gone."
"Because I had to fight niggas off after they bum rushed your stage!"
"That bad huh?" Jenny asked innocently. "I'm sorry Kenji but I wanted to be here for my Marky and my Haruch-yeek!"
"Kenji you know taking her back to the venue is a bad idea," Lottie said watching him put Jenny over his shoulder. "They'll tear her apart."
"They should!" Kenji shouted. "Makes no sense that you wouldn't tell us ahead of time so we don't get jumped!"
"Kenji…" Jenny pouted but sighed. "Take me back...I mean it's fine...I'll go back...I'm sure I can be shipped back in a container...for my funeral."
"Wolf leave her here. We're gonna leave tomorrow."
"Not until I whoop yo' ass!"
"You wouldn't dare!" Jenny said. "You can't do that...only Aunty can...and Marky too...but I'm not five years old anymore."
Kenji raised his hand and began punishing her.
"He was serious…" Haruhi noted in surprise as she looked at Marcus before whispering to him. "Let me guess...daddy dom runs in your family?"
"How'd you guess?" Marcus asked with a small laugh
"Your brother's using...force…" Haruhi snorted. "On Usada...and she's actually upset about it...he is kind of like an older version of you...kind of hot."
"Really babe?" Marcus asked with a small laugh.
"What? Leave me alone." Haruhi said.
"Kenji that's enough." Lottie said blushing. "Geez you're angry."
"Kenny I'm sorry!" Jenny wailed. "I won't do it again ok?"
"You better not." He sat her down and shook his head.
Haruhi shook her head. "For the record, we told her to stay and do the show." She said. "But don't blame her, she was worried about me...and the twins...don't be so mean daddy dom Kenj."
"Daddy what now?" Kenji asked with a blink.
Marcus snorted. "Daddy dom."
Kenji blinked and shook his head as he looked at Marcus. "How's the birthday dinner a la hospital?"
Marcus shrugged as he rubbed Haruhi's back. "As good as it can be. Where's KJ and Carlotta?"
"They're with your sister playing rub the chupagoat." Lottie said with a small smile.
"That's cute," Haruhi said softly as she fell silent and laid back down, she rolled over on her side and yawned. "Marcus, I'm going to rest for a while."
"Alright, you want me to move?" Marcus asked as he rubbed her back.
"Yes," Haruhi said softly. "If you don't mind...I'm really tired."
"Are the dranukis making you tired Haruhi-chan?" Lottie asked. "You should get all the rest you can. I'm sure they're going to be active when they're born."
Marcus smiled softly as he got up. "I'm gonna go back to the beach house and start packin' I'll come back later," he told her as he kissed her temple.
Haruhi nodded as she waved a hand. "Ok…"
"Do you want us to stay?" Lottie asked. "I'm sure that we can keep an eye on Haruhi-chan for you."
"Yeah, call me if somethin' happens." Marcus shook his head quietly as he left the room.
