Prue and Andy were downstairs saying goodbye to each other as Andy had errands to take care of before he went to work. They were kissing each other by the front door. "I had a great time last night" Prue said. "Yea me to" Andy said. He and Prue both smiled. "I want to give you something very important" Andy said pulling a present out of the inside of his suit jacket. "Happy birthday" he said smiling. "It's not my birthday until next week" Prue said reaching out for the gift but Andy pulled it back. "Consider this a preview" Andy said as he brought the gift toward Prue. She yanked it out of his hand and opened it. Prue was expecting jewelry or something but was surprised by what she saw. "A key" she said confused. "To the Calistoga spa. We leave early Saturday morning" Andy said. Prue looked confused. "Saturday morning? Why can't we leave Friday night after work and just make it a whole weekend thing" Prue said.
"I'm going to be tired. You know working all day and everything. It'll be better if we leave on Saturday" Andy lied. He couldn't let Prue know that the reason they had to leave on Saturday was because Piper was planning a surprise party for Prue on Friday night. He hated lying to her but Piper would kill him if he told Prue about her surprise party. Prue shrugged. "OK I guess that makes sense" she said. Andy pulled Prue closer. "It'll be just you and me. No demons. No sisters. No interruptions" he said in between kisses. Prue smiled. "I like the sound of that" she said. He smiled back at her. "Don't forget to meet me at quake for lunch" Andy said. "I know. I'll be there" Prue said. "Bye" Andy said giving her another quick kiss before leaving. "Happy birthday to me" Prue said to herself once he left. She left the room to finish getting ready for work. Andy drove away from the house and in the opposite direction of his job. He had an errand to take care of but he had to pick someone up first.
Andy arrived at his destination. He walked into the building and up to the door that had the Angel Investigations sign on it. He walked into the office. When he walked in he saw Angel and Cordelia in the middle of a heated argument. "All I'm saying is 120 people coming to our wedding is a bit much" Angel said. Cordelia rolled her eyes. "You told me to cut it down so I did and your still not happy" she said. "When I said cut it down I didn't mean go from 150 people to 120 people. I meant more like 150 to 30 or 25 people. We don't even know 120 people" Angel said. "I do" Cordelia said. Doyle rolled his eyes and looked over at Andy who was just standing there observing the argument Angel and Cordelia were having. "Andy. Hey guys look it's Andy" Doyle said standing up and walking over to Andy. Angel and Cordelia both looked over at Andy. "Hey what are you doing here" Angel asked. "Well I need Cordelia's help with something" Andy said.
"My help. Are you sure? I mean the big strong champion who's afraid of having a lot of people watch the happiest day of his life is right here" Cordelia said. Angel rolled his eyes. "Andy can you please explain to my lovely fiancé over here that 120 people is to many people for our wedding" Angel said. "120 people. Wow that's a lot. Me and Prue are only having around 60 to 70" Andy said. "Told you" Angel said. Cordelia stuck her tongue out at him. "Anyway what can I help you with" she asked Andy. "Well Prue's birthday is next week and I need help picking out a really good gift. I would ask her sisters but I think they'd tell her and I'm not a good shopper so I figured I would ask you to help" Andy said. "I'm your girl. I can definitely help you with your shopping emergency" Cordelia said. Cordelia turned to Angel and kissed him. "I'll be back later" she said turning to leave. He pulled her back. "While your gone" he started to say. He took something off the desk. "Fix this list" he said giving her the guest list.
Andy had driven to Chinatown. "Why are we in Chinatown" Cordelia asked. "Prue likes antique stuff from Chinatown so I figured we could get her something from here. I think she would really like it" Andy said. Cordelia nodded her head. "So you have 120 people coming to your wedding" Andy said. "Not officially. These are just the people I'm going to invite. They all probably won't come anyway. Angel's just being a big baby" Cordelia said looking at the list. "Well how many people does Angel want to go to your wedding" Andy asked. "Well he just wants Doyle you Prue Piper and Phoebe to go. That's it just you five" Cordelia said. Andy laughed. "I see" he said. Cordelia sighed. "I just want it to be special you know. It's going to be the happiest day of our lives. I want as many people as I can get to experience that with us. I'm only getting married once after all" Cordelia said. "I get it but it shouldn't matter how many people are there. All that should matter is the love you and Angel have for each other" Andy said.
He parked the car and they got out. Cordelia thought about that. Andy was right. It shouldn't matter how many people were there all that should matter is that her and Angel love each other. Andy and Cordelia walked through Chinatown searching through stores for the perfect gift for Prue. After about five stores Andy was giving up hope but Cordelia was determined to find him the perfect gift for Prue. Andy had gotten her this vacation for the two of them but he wanted to get her something else to. Something he could give her on her actual birthday. The sixth store they went into was a clothing store. "You can never go wrong with clothes" Cordelia told Andy. She picked out a nice black dress with shoes and a purse. That would have to do Andy thought as it was getting late and he had to get to work. Andy and Cordelia started walking back to the car. As they were walking a group of men ran past them. They looked at each other shrugged and kept walking.
As they walked deeper into the alley they saw what they assumed the men were running away from. There was a dead body burning on the floor. "Oh god" Cordelia said turning away. Andy looked at the burning body. Someone murdered whoever this person was and they were trying to burn the evidence. He was going to figure out who did this and bring them to justice.
