Normal POV

The next morning, Aichi and Kai did the same training for the others as they timed how long they could hold their flames.

" How are you doing with lighting up your flames, Miwa-kun and Kourin-san?"

" You make it sound so easy but it's a little hard..." Miwa replied

" Well, to put it simpler... Just think about the things precious to you and how you want to protect it... It's just like we said, 'resolve to flames'."

" Guess I'll try again."

" Me too."

As the two finally lit up their flames, Naoki and the others had extinguished their flames after reaching their limit.

" Fifteen minutes. You guys have improved."

" Alright...! Surely with this..."

" You still can't go to the next step."

" W-Why?!"

" Look at yourselves. If you guys can only hold out for this long and be this tired, in a real battle, it will spell disaster. The faster you exhaust yourselves, it just means that you guys still aren't that strong yet. Your resolve has to be stronger than that."

" But how do we even have stronger resolve...?"

" This training is to master flame control. Remember, if your resolve gets too strong, your flame also goes berserk. I'm not saying it's bad but you'll need to learn to control your emotions."

" Well... From what I see here, their stamina is lacking as well." Blade said

" Yes. Stamina is needed as well but I would really want to leave anything physical out for now. But this is becoming too obvious."

" But it's also possible. Remember, our powers were fully tapped because we were taken over by Gredora-san and Darkface-san. What if they needed the same thing?"

" But we can't do that anymore. We don't even have the power for that."

" What if... these other rings that we have..."

" You're not seriously thinking of using these on them..."

" ... You know what? I think we shouldn't do it."

" Well then, I say we get to training them for their stamina then."

" I agree."

Aichi nodded as he tapped his spear on the ground and they were at the mountain again.

" Alright! Then first... I guess everyone should do some running."

" But we're in uniform! For a few days already too!"

" Don't worry. I have that settled."

Their clothes had quickly changed just as he said that.

" You can even do this?"

" Somewhat."

" Now be quiet and get running."

" Right..."

They started running as Aichi and Kai sat down on rocks. The units remained standing while waiting.

" You know, you guys really didn't have to follow us."

" It's fine. We feel more assured this way."

" ... Do whatever you want then."

" When do you think this battle will end?" Aichi ask

" ... At least until we defeat Link Joker."

" Then I want it to end soon... Then we can go back to cardfighting and just having fun."

" Me too."

" I wonder if there was a reason to do this to them though..."

" I don't know either. But this can be counted as a way of self defense for them."

" Yeah..."

As the others continued training, the afternoon quickly came as Aichi fanned himself with his hand.

" It's gotten a little hotter."

" Yeah but with those dark clouds in the way, the sun can't seep in. Because of those rings around the world..."

" Yeah. Oh..." Aichi muttered after seeing the others on the ground as he sweat dropped, " Maybe we should give them some rest..."

Transporting them back to Card Capital, they got some water for the others.

" So... you guys did this in the future...?"

" Somewhat..."

" Our 'coach' didn't know much on what to do with us and left us with Gredora and Darkface. Well, at least it helped us in a way."

" Kai-kun, you don't have to say it that way. He helped us a lot before the Diffride."

Kai huffed as Aichi continued to sweat drop. The others each took turns to shower while some took out their decks and started cardfighting.

" With the barrier outside, we've all relaxed. But we have to stop this chaos sooner or later." Aichi said

" Yeah."

" Didn't you say something about Takuto-kun being trapped on Cray and can communicate through the mirror, Leon-kun?"

" Yeah, do you want to talk to him?"

" Sure."

Leon directed Aichi to the mirror he'd brought with Jillian and Sharlene as Aichi activated his Psyqualia. Takuto appeared from the mirror as the two started communicating.

" So only Psyqualia users can see and hear him?" Naoki ask

" Yeah. It's not convenient but it's our only choice. Especially with our situation now, Takuto would love more details."

" Aichi and I promised Gredora and Darkface that we won't talk about them to Takuto."

" Even when your units already know?"

" I don't expect you guys to not run your mouths once you're back on Cray, but just try to keep this a secret. We don't want anything bad to happen in the future."

" We'll think about it."

Kai sighed as Aichi went back to their table and sat down.

" Takuto-kun isn't exactly sure what our next step will be either. The only thing we can do is try to defeat that Link Joker's agent using his body."

" But we're talking about Link Joker. That clan is totally unpredictable. Even if we know about the units Kai used before, we wouldn't be sure about what the agent uses." Miwa said

" That's true... If only we could see the future just a little bit..."

Aichi and Kai blinked at Naoki's words as the two looked at each other. Aichi was soon calling someone as the others were now looking at each other in confusion.

" Hello, Yuni-san? Yes, I'm good too. I see. So you know about the situation we're in, right? I have a question, but I don't know whether your powers can reach that far. I understand, just don't exhaust yourself if it's not possible. Yes."

Aichi turned to Kai and nodded as Kai nodded back. Aichi then continued to talk to Yuni on the phone before hanging up the call.

" How did it go?"

" Well... I can't tell whether it's a good news or bad news..."

" But she saw it?"

" ... Yes. She couldn't see much but it was a very sinister unit. And a name... 'Glendios'."

" What are you two talking about?"

" Well... We have a friend that can see the future."

Kai stopped the others from screaming in surprise while Aichi continued.

" She can only see parts of it but the agent's deck... She said that it was extremely dangerous."

" Then there's nothing we can do?!"

" She told me that there is a way but... she said it wasn't time yet."

" So it's just more waiting again. I guess we'll use that time to keep training these guys."

" Yeah."

" ... And? What's the next step in training?"

" More stamina training and flame control. We were left with this task after all."

" I guess we don't have a choice. Are you all ready for training again?"

" Yeah!"

They then continued training as Aichi and Kai watched over them. The units would occasionally wander off to keep a lookout for any enemies or intruders. While the others continued jogging, Aichi suddenly spotted a green glider coming towards them as Blade and the others quickly got their weapons out.

" Wait."

Aichi got off from the rock as Reborn came gliding down. The others stopped after seeing him as they tried to catch their breath.

" Looks like you're busy. Yuni filled me in on your situation."

" Yes. You don't have to tell the others. We can try to settle this ourselves."

" I figured so. We don't see the same view as you do right now after all."

" Yes..."

" Other than that, I only came to deliver this letter."

Aichi took the letter and blinked in confusion.

" It's for the Vongola Inheritance Ceremony. Tsuna is going to officially become the Tenth."

" And he accepted?"

" No. But a date is already arranged. Although, if there are any changes, I'll call. Even if he didn't accept it, assassination groups are already on his tail. Once Gokudera knows, I think you'll have a lot on your plate."

" ... I'll have to reject his calls then..."

" Yeah. One more thing... I'm sure you still remember it. Byakuran said that you were just a second Mist Guardian to Vongola. That had been bothering me for awhile so I did some research but nothing came up. The rings you have and those Rainbow flames bothers me too."

" Chrono-kun never gave a lot of details either, so I'm not sure on what to think about this too."

" Well, you have a lot of things on hand right now. Just concentrate on this first."

Aichi nodded as Reborn glided off again.

" Who was that...?"

" A friend. He just wanted to drop something off to me."

" That infant?"

Aichi looked at the letter in his hand after that. The others got back to their jogging after getting chided by Kai as Aichi was now sitting on the rock again. He flipped the letter around to see the Vongola seal and removed it. He took out a card and checked it. It was about the Inheritance Ceremony. Checking the letter again, he found another paper. He kept the card and took out the paper to read. Kai then noticed Aichi's confused expression and tapped his arm.

" What's wrong?"

" No... I mean, this letter... It was supposed to only contain a card for the Inheritance Ceremony but I found this too. It has some weird writing."

" Weird writing?"

Kai took a read at the letter as well. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the contents in the letter.

" Why would someone leave this inside your letter?"

" I don't know..."

" Did Reborn-san leave it inside there by mistake?"

" He wouldn't make that mistake..."

" You're right. Let's think about it later. And if we really can't crack it, then we'll ask Darkface and Gredora."

" Okay."

Aichi kept the letter in his pocket while letting Kai check on the invitation for the Inheritance Ceremony. That was when a call came as Aichi took out his phone and sighed.

" That was fast..."

" What are you going to do?"

" ... I have no choice..."

Aichi answered the call after that.

" What is it?"

" Urgent Guardian meeting! Jyuudaime was being attacked by an assassination group!" It was Gokudera

" I'm busy right now. Go to the meeting yourself. You have Chrome-san there too, right?"

" This is more important than whatever you have going on right now!"

" ... You don't know anything, so just be quiet or I'm going to block your number."

" Wha-?! Jerk! Doesn't mean that you're the Second Mist Guardian, it gives you the right to-"

" And you're the Tenth's right hand, right? Then you can think up of a plan yourself and stop bothering me. And if you call again, I will block your number!"

Aichi hung the call up as Kai patted his head.

" Don't worry. We will settle this soon."

" ... Yeah."

" Still, he gets the word really quickly and he acted fast."

" At least he's serious about it too. But the way he approaches it is not the calmest method."

" True."

" My life is dedicated to Vongola only because Mukuro-san saved my life. At least, until he comes out of the Vindice Prison."

" He's an escape artist, so I'm sure he'll figure out a way. You'll be free from the mafia after that."

" I wouldn't say so. In the future, everyone is involved in it anyway. Because I had a connection to Vongola."

" But it'll change if Mukuro escapes and never goes back into the prison, right?"

" Will that day ever come though? ... I want to live a normal life, just like what you wished. But it's not that easy once you've dabbled into the mafia."

" Don't worry. We will go back to our normal lives. However... For now, Link Joker comes first."

" Yeah."

Suddenly, Aichi sensed an energy from the mountains and looked behind before looking up.

" Aichi?"

" ... That's..."

Aichi threw his spear as it stuck onto the cliff and Aichi jumped onto it to jump higher towards a landing at a cliff.

" Aichi! That's dangerous! Come back!"

At Kai's shout, the others turned to him and looked up to see Aichi picking something up.

" What's going on?" Naoki ask

" I don't know..."

" Aichi! Get back down here!"

" ... Oh! O-Okay!"

However, since the landing was a little small, Aichi slipped off the edge and started falling.

" Aichi!"

" My Vanguard!"

Overlord was about to fly over to Aichi when he stopped. The others gasped as spiritual-like serpents caught Aichi from the fall and his spear was taken out and given back to him.

" T-Thank you..."

The serpents disappeared after that as Kai ran over to him.

" Are you hurt?!"

" N-No..."

" What were you doing up there?!"

" I sensed a strange energy from up there and found these..."

Aichi opened his hand as Kai saw the two flowers of different colours in his hand.

" This white flower was blooming but the black one isn't. Yet, there's a strange power flowing through them."

" Let me see them."

Kai picked up the black flower as he inspected it before lighting his Cloud flames and bringing it close to the flower, which glowed in reaction.

" It's reacting to flames."

" We should check and ask."

Kai nodded and stood up as he turned to the others.

" Hey, training's over. We're heading back to the shop."

Aichi tapped his spear as they were back in the shop once again. The others went to clean up while Aichi checked on the flowers again.

" Huh? The white flower went back to being a bud."

" What?"

Kai took out the black flower and saw it in full bloom.

" What time is it?"

" It's almost night."

" These flowers must be alternating. The white flower only blooms whenever it's still the day. The black flower only blooms whenever it's still the night."

" Such weird flowers... It's like the Morning Glory flowers."

" What have you two been up to?" Gredora ask

" Gredora-san!"

" What do you have there?" Darkface ask

" Aichi found these on Namimmori Mountain, even though there shouldn't be anything like these growing on those rocks."

" That's strange. Let me take over to have a look."

" Yes..."

Gredora then took over Aichi's body as she took a look at the flowers.

" ... This is amazing. I'm surprised you two could even find these."

" What are they?"

" Since many things happened on that mountain, these flowers grew and cultivated from the flames that remained in the air around the mountain."

" They absorbed those flames?"

" Yeah, though this is the first time I have seen such an occurrence. Aichi sensed them, right?"

" Y-Yes..." Aichi replied

" Then they should be good enough."

" Good enough?"

" Time to put that rainbow ring of yours to use."

" Huh? What are you going to do? Are our current weapons not good enough?"

" It's just an upgrade. Don't worry."

" Upgrade?"

" Your current swords don't really match your body types. Your future selves' bodies and your current ones are different and those swords are catered to their type. That's why you two might have a harder time using them."

" But then what are you going to do to these flowers?"

" Simple. Hand me your flower first since it's in full bloom right now."

Kai nodded as he handed his flower to Aichi 'Gredora'. Aichi 'Gredora' then lit up the rainbow flames as the flower floated up in an energy sphere. The flower then started changing shape as a thin bladed sword came out from the light.

" You can test this sword out once you're ready to, but from what I'm feeling from it, it's extremely powerful."

Aichi 'Gredora' then sheathed the sword before handing it to Kai.

" Make sure to keep it sheathed. This sword should not be swung around carelessly."

" But it looks extremely frail and thin."

" Test it out on some rocks on the mountain tomorrow. I'll finish on Aichi's one once morning comes."

" Okay..."

The others soon came down from taking showers one by one as they had dinner that Shin prepared before going to sleep for the night. The next morning, Aichi teleported them back to the mountain as Gredora took over him again to make his sword and sheathed it before giving him back his body.

" I guess we should test them out..."

" Yeah."

Both found rocks to test their swords as Kai hesistantly drew his and got ready his fighting stance.

" What are you two doing? New weapons?" Naoki ask

" Yeah..."

With a quick motion, Kai slashed the rock across him and waited as the rock split.

" ... A clean split..."

Aichi inspected the rock as he nodded to Kai.

" It was a smooth cut. It even looked effortless. You didn't put any flames into it, right?"

" Yeah..."

" That's amazing..."

" Well, it's your turn."

Aichi nodded as he faced another rock and got ready. He breathed out a little before jumping and hitting the rock with his sword. The tip of the rock cracked before the entire rock shattered into pieces.

" The rock became shards!"

Aichi landed after that and turned to Kai, who nodded.

" But my sword movements and style don't match with this sword..."

" We'll have to train again to get used to them. It's so light that I can barely feel it in my hand."

" Yeah."

Kai then turned to the others.

" Continue running and gaining stamina. We're practicing flame control afterwards before noon comes around."

" Y-Yeah..."

" They're demons, I tell ya..." Miwa muttered
