This poem is Inspired By You Say by Lauren Daigle
I keep fighting demons in my mind that tell me,I'm not enough
I believe every single thing they tell me, like how I'll never measure up
Am I more than just
My mother's daughter
or my brothers sister
Please tell me who I am ,thunder thighs is all I see
So tell me who I am because
When I look into the mirror
And when I don't recognize the reflection staring back at me
I realize,I need to know
You say I'm loved
in your arms
but when you yelled at me
flashes though my memory
So I slice my arm,
and I mar it with scars
I don't feel a thing
You tell me I am strong when
I feel I am weak
I know it's true because the voices in my mind agree with me
and they have always been there for me
I hear the voices tell me all these harsh truths
and what they say of me,
I believe
what they say of me
