Please note that this story is very old. It began as a roleplay between myself and a dear friend in 2007 and was eventually reworked into a fic in 2009 where it was published to unfinished. In 2013, I dug it back up and hastily wrote up an epilogue to "end" the story. It left a few threads unresolved (not the main Ike and Soren one) but overall, the story is complete. That being said, some of the characterizations are very outdated, since we were about 15 and 19 at the time of its writing and were still very childish in a lot of ways. Micaiah suffered in particular, as she is technically the main villain of this fic. We did not (and do not) like the character because we saw her as a mary sue kind of a character.
My plan right now is to leave the unedited version of this fic on as is and gradually rework the entire fic over to AO3, not only to give it a polish but maybe to fix a few of the off color characterizations and ideas. The story itself will not be changed at all, so Micaiah will likely remain out of character, but toned down a little. All things considered, I really like this fic and want others to enjoy it as well, especially new FE/Ike x Soren fans. I think it has a unique story.
