I was still in Barricade's servo confused, while Ratchet was taking in the whole scene. I was pretty sure Ratchet heard the tail end of Barricade's confession. "Barricade put her down. I'm sure your processor is still slightly addled from the hits you took from Ironhide, she's not your sparkling." Ratchet spoke to Barricade in a calming way like one would a frightened animal. A snarl was all I heard from Barricade in response to Ratchet's statement. I was starting to freak out a little but I was trying not to let it show. Ratchet took a step forward to try to get closer to me still in Barricade's grasp but that proved to be a mistake as more snarls filled the air and Barricade jerked back. I watched as Ratchet took steps back towards the door of the medbay. No doubt to try to go get help to rectify this situation I was in with a mech that could be running on nothing but pure parental programming."What the frag is going on here?" Came a shout from the doorway behind Ratchet. I looked back over to see Sunstreaker and Sideswipe standing there taking in the scene they had walked in on. "Barricade seems to think Solaris is his sparkling, which is slag as we all know he's never sired one, and not to mention she is human." Ratchet told Sides and Sunny. I could see them processing what he had told them. I was jerked closer to Barricade's chassis. All of this was starting to overwhelm me,I just wanted to know who I am and who my family is. I could hear the twins and Ratchet whispering about how exactly they were going to get me away from Barricade. "I won't let them take you away from me, I can't loose you again. Not after just finding you again all these years later." Barricade told me. "Um sorry to tell you but, I am pretty sure that you are mistaking me for your sparkling." I spoke up finally. I could tell that my words registered with him and caused the others to go quiet. A slight tingly sensation of a scan running over me was all I got in response. "I don't know what kind of lies they are telling you little one, you are my sparkling and I would know your energy signature anywhere and my scanners have never been wrong."That left me at even a greater loss of words, how could this mech think I was his sparkling?Maybe Ratchet was right, Barricade's processor must still be recovering from the smack down Ironhide had dealt him. "Maybe you should just read the blood work results Ratchet?" I piped up after the silence got really uncomfortable. I could see Ratchet's optics brighten in response. "Right, that would have saved everybody from having to deal with this. Let's see your blood work results say that you are actually a Cybertronian, but hmmgnh it's for some reason not saying who your parental units are or if you have any known relatives. I'll have to run it again to see if it was a error." Ratchet spoke up from the other side of the room. I swallowed as I took in the news, I was Cybertronian, but I was no where near closer to figuring out who my family is. I blinked back tears of frustration at the news. Hopefully it was just an error like Ratchet believes it to be. "Well of course she's Cybertronian. She's my sparkling and I would be able to recognize her anywhere." Barricade scoffed at what Ratchet said.
Everything tilted so very suddenly and I was now sailing through the air. "Gotcha!" Sideswipe crowed as he caught me. Apparently Sunny had managed to sneak up on Barricade from behind and tackle him to get me out of his grasp. In hindsight that seemed to have been the worse thing to do as it caused Barricade to freak. I watched in what seemed to be slow motion as Ratchet lunged forward with a needle that he hadn't had before and delivered what could only be a sedative into Barricade's systems. The tension bled out of all of our bodies as the situation had been rectified with me no longer being in Barricade's grasp. I felt sorry for him cause on some level I think he was telling the truth that he did indeed have a sparkling that he seemed to feel guilty over losing, and he seemed to be confusing me with said sparkling. "Ugnh my paint! You better consider yourself lucky that I tackled the slagger to get you out of his grasp Solaris." Sunstreaker whined as he came back over to where I stood on Sideswipe's servo. Of course I appreciated what Sunny did. I was just ready to get the frag out of the medbay. "Of course I appreciate it Sunny, can we leave the medbay now, not sure if I can take another minute in here." I told him. A grunt was all I got in return but I knew that meant a yes, I was ready to get back to our room and relax from this stressful situation. "Be sure to come back in a week, Solaris I want to do another scan on you and I should have the correct results of your blood work by then as well." Ratchet shouted after us as we made our way out of the medbay. I didn't have a chance to respond as Sides changed to his altmode, with Sunny following right behind. "Are we going somewhere guys?" I asked them as I saw we were heading towards the front of the base. "Yes we are going onto the mainland for a couple hours so you're not stressing over everything that has recently happened. It'll just be us three spending some time together." Sides chimed in. I kept quiet after that wondering just exactly what we would be doing on the mainland. I sat I content silence as some of the soldiers waved to us as we passed by to be loaded onto the plane that would soon be departing with us on it.
