Chapter 18- Nonono!
"Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves. Ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes its overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim."

So, I've been having some writers block for the last few chapters so if this chapter and the upcoming chapters aren't that good, then I'm sorry! I'm doing my best! Luckily, Twilaurenight suggested what I could do for this chapter! So, I will do her suggestion.
3rd person POV-
Alec walks into the most secret room in the Volturi castle again. This time, instead of everyone trying to create the way to kill the species that threatened them, they were multiplying the way to kill them. They created a liquid that once inside the body, it destroys everything until that person is dead. They also created an antidote to this poison, just in case they found out it was them and tried to kill them.
Markus was walking around the room making sure everything was in order. He stopped at someone from the guard and asked, "They don't know yet, do they? We are winning?"
"Yes, Markus. They know nothing." The guard replied.
"Good." Markus goes over to Caius and looked at the paper that was in his hand.
"Caius, we are going too slow. Kill more of them!" Markus demanded.
"Markus if we go any faster, they might suspect something." Caius responded.
"Maybe so, but the faster we go, the less and less will be able to fight us. Eventually there won't be any more left to fight us. How much is left?" Markus asked.
"There is fifty-five left." Caius answered.
"Poison twenty more. Preferably the older ones, because they're more experienced and have a better chance at fighting us." Markus said.
"Alright, I'll send out some of the guard." Caius replied. "We can't work on making more poison while they're gone, so make sure no one is doing it while they're gone"
"I'll make sure no one works on it, don't worry." Markus answered.
"Alright, I'll go get some of the guard."
"Is everyone ready?" Aro asked.
"Yes, everyone is ready to go." Caius replied.
"Ok, send them off." Aro instructed. Caius nodded and left to send off some of the guard.
Middle of the night
One of the guards quietly snuck up to the side of the house and inside through a window. He was so quiet then even vampires couldn't hear him. He went searching throughout the house, looking for the one called Carine. She was one of them. Part of that species they were trying to eliminate.
The guard saw her asleep on a couch, and he quietly approached her. He heard a noice to his right and immediately spun around. He relaxed when he saw another guard. The other guard nodded to him, signaling that they were ok, right now. He goes up to her and pours the poison on a cloth before putting it over her mouth. Carine immediately woke up but it was too late. She breathed in some of the poison.
Carine could feel herself getting weaker and weaker until she fell unconscious. The other guard came up to her and placed his hand on her forehead before nodding and leaving.
They did this nineteen other times that night.
The next day
Joslyn's POV-
I woke up hearing a phone ringing next to me. I fell asleep on the couch last night, and the home phone was ringing. I picked it up tiredly and answered, "Hello?"
"Hey, Josie, I have some news to share..." Grandpa Eliseo said.
"What? What happened?" I asked, worriedly.
"Well, this morning twenty more of our relatives woke up sick..." he said.
"What?! Twenty?! That means there's only thirty-five left who aren't sick..." I started pacing around the room. The Cullen family came into the room, wondering what was going on.
"I know... this sickness is spreading fast; the only connections are the fact that they're all the same species and they were fine one day and the next they were sick. We have no clues..." he explained. At this point, everyone was in the room, waiting to hear what happened.
"Is- is that all the news?" I asked nervously.
"Umm... no, there's more..." He hesitated.
"What? What else happened?" I asked worriedly.
"Well... It's your parents... they- they died last night." He said the last part quietly, but I could still hear him. I stopped pacing and froze, tears started streaming down my face. Everyone looked at me worried and nervous about the news they would hear soon. I looked at Simeon and he was crying now too.
"N-no... they couldn't have... It's not supposed to happen like this..." my voice trailed off at the end as I fell on my knees.
"That's all the news I have... I'm sorry, I tried to help your parents, but nothing worked... I couldn't save them..." I could hear him crying on the other end.
"It-it wasn't your fault; you did all you could... I-I have to tell everyone now... So, I've got to go." I hung up and tossed the phone a few feet away from me as a sob escaped my lips.
Alice ran over to me and sat down next to me before rubbing my back and asking, "What happened?"
"Our... our parents died..." I placed my head in my hands as I told them. Alice continued to rub my back, trying to comfort me. That was the last thing I remembered before everything went dark and I was alone with my thoughts and memories.
