It was time for Judy to get back to work. Nick had the next 2 weeks off to recover, then he would only be allowed to do paperwork for another 3 months till they knew he was fully recovered. Judy had been frustrated ever since Nick confessed. She had to work, Peggy was still at large, and Nick's mother had been hogging Nick for his 2 weeks off. 'Why can't I see my boyfriend its not fair... he is my boyfriend,' that simple fact kept her going at work without her partner. "Judy come into my office," "Yes, sir."
Bogo wasn't recovered, but forced himself to be back at work. Recovering, so quickly showed the criminals how strong the police force was. Even if it was a lie. Bogo never showed any pain, but Judy could see right through him. "Judy sit down, I have a case for you," Bogo handed her a portfolio. "Are you sure you should be working, so soon Bogo?" "I am the Chief the stronger I look the stronger the force looks. People look to us for safety, and I will give them safety." Judy couldn't argue after news broke that Bogo was shot the city was scared, but when he came back a week later everyone was shocked. Even the Mafia seemed to quiet down when he came back. "We suspect that there is something big about to happen within the Mafia. I want you to follow the people listed, and find out whats going on. We can't have the Mafia fall apart yet. Their strength keeps the gang violence down, and with our resources running low, we can't handle a Mafia civil war." "Are you saying we are allowing the Mafia to commit crimes, to keep violence down?" Bogo knew that Judy wouldn't like it, and it wasn't like he enjoyed it either, but it was needed until the right time when they could get them all. "Yes, by keeping the war between us going, it keeps others out. I don't enjoy this, but until we get the resources we have no choice." "There has to be another way..." The room was filled with silence. "I have lost too many friends... to rush in and loss more. If We Had The Resources To Take Them Out I Wouldn't Have To Work Right Now. I Could Be Resting." Judy understood, but it frustrated her even more. "I will get right on it, Sir."
Judy rushed to Mr. Big. He had been the Don of the Mafia for years. Judy need to get into the Mafia if she ever wanted to find out what was going on. "Mr. Big I want to join the Mafia," "No, your a good girl. You have to stay out of this." 'Stay out of this... so he know there is something going on.' Judy kept trying with no success. "You must leave, this is my last parting gift. Take Her Away." She was going to have to find another way in. Nothing was going her way her frustration was boiling over. She wasted her whole day trying to convince Mr. Big and got nowhere. Maybe Nick could cheer her up.
For once Nick's mother let them go on a date. For that last few days Nick had to help his mother, without her. She couldn't understand 'He just confessed why can't we see each other.' Judy knew that Nick avoided his mother, so she could understand why she was taking all of his time. After all her son finally want to spend time with her. 'Why can't we all be together why does it have to be just the two of you,' but Judy knew she would steal him away if she could. Today was different now it was her turn. Sadly this wasn't going to be a special date since they were just going to have a quiet dinner at his place. Judy couldn't care less by this point she was desperate to see him.
Judy arrive at his house late for once, her frustration was messing with her brain too much. } Sorry Plans Changed I Can See You On Saturday { This didn't help, she needed him she was going crazy. 'It's Thursday How am I Suppose to Wait,' She picked up the letter, and read it.
The Doctor called me, I had to get checked out. He said it wasn't serious, so don't worry.
I Miss You, and I am sorry. I can't wait to see you on Saturday. I have fun plans for us.
'You better have fun plans, or I am going to attack you.' Defeated Judy made her way home. Once Judy got home she couldn't stop thinking about Nick. 'What have you done to me, I just want you here.' For once she wasn't looking forward to work tomorrow, she wasn't going to see Nick. She was tired too tired. 'When will I see you...' she was out, nothing was going to awake her this night.
Hope you enjoy Judy's struggles.
