Summary: Siblings, more specifically twins can sometimes have a special bond between them. In Buffy and Makenna's case, it caused them both to be called as the Slayer. So the vampires and the other forces of darkness better watch their backs because the Summers sisters are coming for them.

Welcome to the Hellmouth

In to every generation there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.

But in mine and my twin sister's case, we're the Chosen Two. So the vamps better watch out because the Summers girls are coming for you.

Buffy and Kenna sat in Principle Flutie's Office. It was their first day at Sunnydale High and they were both nervous. It didn't help that they both had the same nightmare, it was the nightmare that had been plaguing the pair for about a month. It was a kaleidoscope of scenes featuring different things which included a number of vampires. And it always ended the same way, with an incredibly pale looking creature with red eyes. Both Kenna and Buffy had guessed it…or more specifically he was an old vampire.

"Buffy and Makenna Summers, sophomore, late of Hemery High in Los Angeles", Principal Flutie said looking over their school records "Interesting records, quite a career..." he sat down at his desk and took the sheets of paper from the twins' folders and tore it into four pieces "Welcome to Sunnydale! A clean slate, that's what you get here. What's past is past. We're not interested in what it says on a piece of paper, even if it says..." Principal Flutie trailed off, eyes widening when he finally read what was on the scraps of paper "Whoa".

"Mr. Flutie…" Buffy began.

"All the kids here are free to call me Bob", Principal Flutie cut in.

"Bob…" Buffy tried again.

"But they don't", Principal Flutie interrupted. The sisters watch as he hastily taped the torn pieces of their records back together.

"I know our transcripts are a little... colourful", Kenna said carefully.

"Heeey... We're not caring about that. Do you think, uh, 'colourful' is the word?" Principal Flutie asked "Not, uh, 'dismal'?"

"Wasn't that bad!" Buffy argued.

"You two burned down the gym", Principal Flutie reminded her and Kenna.

"We did, we really did", Buffy sighed "but... You're not seeing the big picture here, I mean, that gym was full of vampi—"

"Buffy!"

"Asbestos", Buffy quickly amended barely avoiding from jumping out of her skin from her sister's mental shout.

"Nice save", Kenna mentally remarked.

"Thanks"

"Buffy, Makenna, don't worry. Any other school they might say 'watch your step', or 'we'll be watching you'... But, that's just not the way here. We want to service your needs, and help you to respect our needs. And if your needs and our needs don't mesh..." Principal Flutie slipped the papers back into their files and slaps them shut.

A few moments later, Buffy and Kenna left the Principal's office. The blonde teen walked right into a girl making her accidentally drop her bag, spilling the contents on the floor. "Sorry!" Buffy said apologetically before crouching down to pick up her belongings.

"Should've watched where you were going", Kenna said helping her sister pick up her belongings. She was a little surprised on how many stakes she had brought with her. Granted she had decided to arm herself as well but not 5 stakes. That was a little excessive.

"Yeah, I know", Buffy sighed hastily stuffing her things into her bag. Suddenly a teenaged boy with brown hair came up to them and started to help out as well.

"Can I have you?" he asked Buffy. The twins looked at him confused "Duh..." the boy chuckled "Can I help you?" he amended.

"Thanks", Buffy replied with a smile.

"I don't know you, do I?" the boy asked.

Buffy shook her head "I'm Buffy. I'm new and this is my sister Kenna", she said.

"Hey", Kenna greeted politely.

"Xander. Is-is me. Hi", Xander stammered, still keeping his gaze on Buffy. I think someone's got a crush Kenna thought, not that she was bothered by it. She just hoped her sister would be able to realise it and nip it in the bud quickly before Xander's feelings got hurt. Unless Buffy reciprocated his feelings…guess she'd have to wait and see.

The trio finished gathering up everything and stood up "Well, uh, maybe I'll see you around... maybe at school... since we... both... go there", Xander continued to stammer. Yep someone has it bad for Buff…and its only our first day.

"Great! It was nice to meet you", Buffy said and Kenna hummed in agreement. They then turned and walked down the hall not realising that they'd left behind a stake with Xander.

~Classroom~

Kenna watched the teacher write 'The Black Death' on the chalk board before turning to the class. "It's estimated that about twenty-five million people died in that one four-year span. But the fun part of the Black Plague is that it originated in Europe how? As an early form of germ warfare", Kenna along with everyone else jotted this down in their notebooks "If you'll look at the map on page sixty-three you can trace the spread of the disease into Rome, and then north..."

The curly haired girl that was sat next to Kenna, slid her book over so that the ginger could take a look at the map. "Thanks", Kenna said grateful.

"…And this popular plague led to what social changes?" the teacher asked "Steve?"

An hour later, the bell rang indicating the lesson was over. "Thanks for letting me look at your book", Kenna said to the girl as they gathered up their belongings.

"No problem. I haven't seen you around here before, you new?" the girl asked.

"Yeah. Buffy and I are both new", Kenna said nodding to her sister who was talking to a brunette "I'm Kenna by the way", the ginger added.

"Leah", the girl said "you know, if you want a copy of the textbook, there's some in the library. Come on, I'll show you". Kenna followed Leah out of the classroom. "So, where are you from?" Leah asked.

"LA", Kenna replied.

"I'm surprised you moved all the way to Sunnydale, its not the most exciting place in the world", Leah said.

"We had to. Its kinda a long story", Kenna said "So um…who's that girl my sister is talking to?" she asked noticing Buffy up ahead with the same brunette from their class.

"That's Cordelia Chase. Queen Bitch of Sunnydale High", Leah answered glaring at the brunette "Don't be surprised if she tries to make you her 'friend'. That's what she's probably doing to your sister right now. Its only because you both are new".

"Well, you don't have to worry about me becoming 'friends' with her. I have zero interest in being a part of the popular crowd", Kenna said honestly "I'd rather be hanging out with people who haven't lost their souls to the evil that is 'popularity'". That earned a laugh from Leah.

"You know, I think you're going to get along great with my friends", she remarked "if you like, I'll introduce you to them at lunch".

"Sounds great", Kenna said. They continued walking to the Library, chatting away about various topics. Kenna found she actually liked talking to Leah. She didn't want to jump to conclusions right away but it seemed that she may have made her first friend at her new school.

"I'll meet you in the quad at lunch", Leah said when they finally got the library.

"Ok, see you at lunch", Kenna said. Leah nodded and walked away. The ginger pushed open the Library door and entered. "Hello?" she called "anybody home?"

There was no answer.

She walked over to the book checkout counter and sees a newspaper on it. She frowned at the article circled.

Local Boys Still Missing

As Kenna leant over to read it, she became aware that someone was behind her. Quickly she spun around, grabbing hold of the hand that had been extended towards her.

The owner of the hand was a middle aged man wearing glasses and going by his attire, Kenna guessed he was the librarian. She quickly released his wrist. "I'm really sorry about that", she apologised hastily "but you should know better than to sneak up on people. You're lucky I didn't deck you…" then a thought came to her "Actually I'm lucky I didn't deck you. Don't particularly want to get kicked out for attacking a member of staff...y-you aren't going to tell anyone are you?"

The man gave her a warm smile "not at all", he said with a British accent.

"Good. That's good", Kenna said relieved "I was um...looking for some books. I'm new".

"Miss Summers?" the man said.

"One of two", Kenna said. The library door opened and Buffy walked in "Good timing! This the other Miss Summers, my twin".

"I'm Mr. Giles. The librarian. I was told you both were coming", Giles walked around the counter.

"Great!" Buffy said with fake enthusiasm "So...um… I don't know what Kenna needs but I need a copy of 'Perspectives on 20th Century-'"

"I know what you're after!" Giles interrupted. The sisters watched as he produced a rather large old book with the word Vampyr on the front. Both Kenna and Buffy stated at it wide eyed.

"Bloody hell. I think he's out new Watcher" Kenna told her sister mentally.

"I don't know about you but this is NOT what I wanted when we started here", Buffy said. Kenna understood what she meant. The both of them were determined to lead as normal a life as possible away from all this supernatural crap that had got them kicked out of their last school.

Out loud Buffy said "That's not what we're looking for".

"Are you sure?" Giles asked.

"We're way sure", Kenna answered tugging the sleeve of Buffy's shirt, pulling her slowly backwards away from the book.

"My mistake", Giles said with slight confusion in his voice. The second he bent down to put the book away, the twins made their escape.

"How the hell did they know we'd be here?" Buffy demanded in a hushed voice as they walked hastily away.

"I have no idea but I'm not getting dragged back into all that nonsense from before", Kenna said.

"That makes two of us", Buffy agreed.

~Quad~

Kenna stepped out into the quad at lunchtime, where Leah said to meet her. "Kenna!" the teen in question called. The ginger saw her sitting with two people, one boy, one girl. Kenna walked over to the trio. "Guys this was the girl I was telling you about. Kenna Summers", Leah said.

"Hi", Kenna said politely.

"So you're one of the new girls huh?" the black haired girl remarked "I'm Avril Lawson". She held out her hand and Kenna shook it. Avril nodded to the boy that was with them "this is Sam Winchester".

"Nice to meet you", Sam said.

"Likewise", Kenna said.

"Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?" Leah suggested.

"Uh…ok", Kenna agreed. She sat down next to Leah "what did you guys wanna know?"

"Leah said you lived in LA", Avril said "what was that like?"

"Well…" Kenna started when Buffy's voice sounded in her mind.

"Kenna we got a problem! Come to the Gym now!"

"Actually, I've just realised I'm supposed to me meeting my sister right now", Kenna said trying to sound as apologetic as possible "I'll see you guys later". The ginger all but jumped up, bag in hand and dashed off.

Kenna stopped dead when she saw the body on the floor gym floor, Buffy standing next over him. "Buffy…did you…?"

"No, it wasn't me. Cordelia said he'd been stuffed into a girl's locker", Buffy said quickly. She knelt down and pulled the sheet back, revealing two marks in the neck.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" Kenna complained "so much for not getting dragged back into the supernatural crap".

"No, we made a promise that we were going to stay away from this stuff", Buffy said firmly standing up.

"But Buffy a vampire killed this boy…" Kenna began.

"Yeah, I know but it's not our problem. That Librarian can deal with it", Buffy said in a tone which Kenna recognised as one she often used to say that she'd made her mind up. Buffy turned and marched off, out of the gym. Kenna hurried after her.

~Library~

"Okay, what's the sitch?" Buffy demanded as she barged into the Library.

"Sorry?" Giles asked from where he stood on the upper level.

"You heard about the dead guy, right? The dead guy in the locker?" Buffy continued making her way around the table to the stairs, Kenna following her.

"Yes", Giles answered.

"He was killed by a vampire", Kenna said bluntly.

"I was afraid of this", Giles remarked as the twins walked up the carpeted steps towards him.

"Well, WE weren't! It's our first day! I was afraid that I was gonna be behind in all my classes, that I wouldn't make any friends, that I would have last month's hair…" Buffy vented.

"And we certainly wasn't expecting there to be vampires on campus", Kenna added.

"Yes, we weren't. And to honest, we don't care", Buffy finished.

"Then why are you here?" Giles questioned.

"To tell you that... we don't care, which... we don't, and... have now told you, so... bye" Buffy turned away and headed back down the steps. Kenna began to follow when Giles spoke up.

"Is he, w-will he... rise again?"

"Nope", Kenna replied "he's dead as a doornail".

"Can you be sure?" Giles pressed.

"Yes, I can be sure. They drained him DRY. If the vamp was gonna turn him, he…or she wouldn't have done that", Kenna explained. She then headed down the stairs to join her sister.

"You really have no idea what's going on, do you?" Giles spoke up "You think it's coincidence, you two being here? That boy was just the beginning".

"Oh, why can't you people just leave us alone?!" Buffy exclaimed.

"Like it or not, you are the Slayer" Giles stated "Into each generation a Slayer is born" he walked down the stairs "one girl in all the world, a Chosen One, one b-"

"Ah, I have to correct you there", Kenna cut in "We" she gestured to herself and Buffy "are both Slayers. So this 'one girl in all the world' is utter rubbish in our case".

"I'll admit that I was rather surprised to find out that you were both Slayers", Giles confessed "its never happened before. But regardless of that fact, you've both accepted your duty…you've slain vampires before…"

"Yeah, and we've both been there and done that, and we're moving on", Buffy said.

"What do you know about this town?" Giles asked going into his office.

"It's two hours on the freeway from Neiman Marcus?" Buffy offered.

"Dig a bit in the history of this place", Giles said "You'll find a, a steady stream of fairly odd occurrences. Now, I believe this whole area is a center of mystical energy" he left his office with four books in his arms "that things gravitate towards it that, that, that you might not find elsewhere". Giles sets the books onto the table.

"Like vampires", Buffy said.

"Like zombies, werewolves, incubi, succubi" as Giles listed off the monsters, he put the books into Buffy's arms, one at a time "everything you've ever dreaded was under your bed, but told yourself couldn't be by the light of day. They're all real!"

"What? You, like, sent away for the Time-Life series?" Buffy asked sarcastically.

"Ah, w-w-w-yes", Giles stuttered.

"Did you get the free phone?" Kenna asked.

"Um, the calendar", Giles answered.

"Cool! But, okay" Buffy handed the books back to Giles "first of all, we are Vampire Slayers. And secondly, we're retired. Hey, I know! Why don't you kill 'em?"

"I-I'm a Watcher, I-I haven't the skill..." Giles stammered.

Kenna scoffed "Oh, come on, stake through the heart, a little sunlight... It's like falling off a log", she said.

"A, a Slayer slays, a Watcher—"

"Watches?" Buffy supplied.

"Yes", Giles answered "No!" he quickly said and set down the books "He, he trains her, he, he, he

prepares her—"

"Prepares us for what? For getting kicked out of school? For losing all of our friends? For Kenna and I to spend all our time fighting for our lives and never getting to tell anyone because we might endanger them?" Buffy said angrily "Go ahead! Prepare us" she challenged.

The twins stared at their Watcher daring him to say something but he doesn't and so they turn and walk out of the Library. After a second of hesitation, Giles ran after them.

"It's getting worse!" he called making Buffy and Kenna stop.

"What's getting worse?" Buffy asked, not turning back.

Giles walked around the twins and guided them over to the wall "The influx of the undead, the... supernatural occurrences, it's been building for years", he said in a hushed tone "There's a reason why you're here and a reason why it's now!"

"Because now is the time our mom moved here", Buffy said. "I really want this guy to stop talking", she mentally grumbled to her sister.

"You and me both sis", Kenna agreed.

"Something's coming, something, something... something is, is gonna happen here", Giles continued, unaware of their mental complaints about him "Soon!"

"Can he be anymore vague?" Buffy asked her sister with her mind.

"The signs, as far as I can tell, point to a crucial mystical upheaval, very soon. Days. Possibly less", Giles said.

"The answer Buffy is: yes he can be more vague", Kenna answered her twin. Aloud she exclaimed "Oh, come on! This is Sunnydale! How bad an evil can there be?"

Several hours later saw Kenna sitting at her desk doing her homework. Well…trying to at least. Her attention was kept getting drawn over to her nightstand where she kept a couple of wooden stakes. She tore her eyes away from it. "You're a normal girl now. No slaying for you", Kenna muttered. She pressed her pen to the page and without even wanting to, her blue eyes flittered back over to the nightstand. The ginger sighed and dropped her pen onto her desk before getting up and going over to the drawer. "Just one patrol", she said to herself as she picked up one of the stakes.

"Where are you going honey?" Joyce asked as her daughter passed her in the hallway.

"Just going out for a little bit. Getting some air", Kenna replied "need a little break from homework".

"Well, don't be out for long, its still a school night", Joyce said.

"I won't", Kenna promised.

~graveyard~

Kenna strolled through the graveyard twirling the stake in her hand. "So far no vamps", she muttered "guess its back to the homework then" the ginger turned to go when she noticed two people entering a crypt "Looks like I'm gonna be staying out a little longer".

Kenna walked quickly towards the crypt and was mere feet away when two more people showed up. She sped up when she heard a scream. "Well, this is nice", Kenna calmly remarked, noting the two vampires "I-it's a little bare, but a dash of paint, a few throw pillows... call it home!"

"Who the hell are you?" Darla demanded.

"Someone who's about to kick your ass", Kenna answered.

Thomas scoffed "I highly doubt you could take us, little girl", he said.

Kenna just smirked at him "you wanna bet?" she challenged "I could take you both and not break a sweat". Thomas roared and rushed at the Slayer. Kenna didn't hesitate to jam the stake that she'd hidden up her sleeve into his chest and he turned to ash. "You wanna have a go?"

Darla snarled at Kenna and rushed at her. While they fought it out, Willow and Jesse took off. The ginger haired Summers girl slammed her fist into Darla's gut causing the vampire to fly back against the wall. She fell to the floor, winded.

"You know, I just wanted to start over. Be like everybody else. Have some friends…live a normal life", Kenna said "But, no, you had to come here, you couldn't go suck on some other town".

"Who are you?" Darla asked, repeating her earlier question.

"Don't you know?" Kenna counter questioned. Suddenly she was grabbed from behind by the neck by a large vampire, Luke.

"I don't care!" he stated before tossing her across the room. He then grabbed Darla and lifts her to her feet. "You were supposed to be bringing an offering for the Master! We're almost at Harvest, and you dally with this child!" he said.

"We had someone, but then she came", Darla said eyeing Kenna fearfully as she slowly got to her feet "She killed Thomas. Luke, she's strong".

"You go. I'll see if I can handle the little girl", Luke said. Darla quickly climbs the steps, looks back once and runs out of the door. Luke attacks Kenna with a double punch, but she easily blocked it and delivers a punch to his gut and a hopping front snap kick to his jaw. He steps back but isn't fazed. "You're strong", Luke remarked before he whacked her with a solid backhand, sending the teenager flying "I'm stronger!"

He shoved the heavy lid off of the coffin, forcing Kenna to act fast by doing a cartwheel to avoid getting hit by it. She quickly kicked Luke in the chest with both feet, knocking him down. Kenna snatched up the stake from the floor and lunges at Luke, but he is too quick for her, and grabs her by the wrist. "You think you can stop me? Stop us?" he challenged and broke the stake with his other hand.

Luke took hold of a fistful of Kenna's shirt "You have no idea what you're dealing with" and with that he tossed her into the now open coffin "'And like a plague of boils, the race of man covered the Earth'. But on the third day of the newest light would come the Harvest. And the blood of men will flow as wine. When the Master will walk among them once more. The Earth will belong to the old ones" Kenna watched as Luke jumped into the coffin "'And Hell itself will come to town'" he smiled widely "'Amen!'"

Kenna let out a scream as he moved in to bite her…
