Chapter 15: The Prince vs. The Demon

Within the first second of their battle, Goku and Piccolo blow past any power that the others have seen. Goku and Piccolo equal each other in power as they match each other, blow to blow. Piccolo soon breaks free of their clash and jumps into the air. He fires down his laser eyes to begin chasing Goku all over the stage. Goku dodges them as they cut through the floor. Piccolo then rushes down at full speed and slams Goku into the stage. Piccolo jumps back up again and then fires down a huge energy blast to hit Goku. Goku has no time to dodge and must take the blast head on in order to keep it from destroying everyone around him. The blast hits and leaves a huge explosion in Goku's place.

Others: "Ahhh!"

Bulma: "Goku!"

Piccolo: "Hahahahahaha! Did you actually think that you could win this battle?! I was born to kill you! And now my rein will last forever as you roll over in this grave I've made for you-"

Goku then appears in front of him at top speed and lands a powerful punch in Piccolo's gut. The green demon let's out a bowl of pain, but it slowly shifts to a laughing fit.

Goku: "!"

Piccolo: "As I said. Did you actually think you could win this battle?"

Piccolo flies back down to the stage while Goku follows.

Oolong: "Look! Goku's ok!"

Bulma: "Yes! Go Goku!"

Nappa: "This is crazy. They're on a whole another level..."

Kami: "Indeed, but only they and I can sense who holds the greater power."

Nappa: "Huh?"

Kami: "We can sense energy on our own without the help of the devise you once had. And the gap between them couldn't be clearer..."

Nappa: "... Goku, be careful."

Piccolo lifts up his cape and turban to show that they are even heavier than Goku's weighted clothing. Piccolo's weighted clothes hit the ground and just keep sinking deeper and deeper until they're out of sight.

Piccolo: "It is time to show you the true strength you are responsible for. If it wasn't for you, I'd never have existed and have this power. So now, behold the power of the True Demon King!"

Piccolo unleashes his full power for everyone to see. In terms of comparison, Piccolo is now stronger than any character in the original DBZ's Piccolo Jr. Arc and Saiyan Arc. Piccolo's power would put him on an even level with Transformed Zarbon. Yeah, he's that strong here. Goku is in shock at how much power Piccolo has. No one but Kami can even realize just how much the difference in power is, but everyone is scared by the aura and power Piccolo lets out. Piccolo grins devilish at Goku as he raises his hand to a group of innocent, random spectators.

Piccolo: "You could easily match some with your own power, but I think we both know what takes priority to you..."

Piccolo fires an energy blast at them, but Goku refuses to let it hit anyone. Goku transforms into a super saiyan and rushes to block the attack. He kicks the blast into space, saving thousands of civilians.

Piccolo: "Ahh, there it is. The mighty golden form that was the bane of my previous incarnation. I believe you call this 'super saiyan.'"

Goku begins to shake with anger as his aura and hair slowly changes back to normal.

Goku: "Grrrrrrr!"

Piccolo: "And there it is. The rage that comes with it. You could best me here and now with that power, but you'd lose yourself in your rage and destroy this pathetic world you've fought so hard to protect."

Goku: "..."

Piccolo: "You must limit yourself for the sake of others, but I am free to go all out!"

He fires a blast that lands head on and blasts Goku to the edge of the ring. Goku's shirt has been burned away and Goku is struggling with injuries and the issues of handling his power. Nappa and Bulma scream for Goku to not hold back and take care of Piccolo, but Kami knows the truth of the situation. Kami knows that Goku is limited because of the issues on the mind of super saiyan. When using super saiyan, Goku's power would be right in between Ginyu and 1st form Frieza. However, if he uses the form for more than a few moments, he could kill so many innocent people and the ones he cares for the most.

Goku: (I can't lose control! Not again! I won't hurt anyone else the same way I... I...)

Piccolo begins to beat Goku like a rag doll. Smashing him over and over before tossing him into the air and blasting him with his laser eyes. Goku drops down in the center of the stage as he is about to lose consciousness. Piccolo laughs as he walks over and places his foot on top on Goku's body.

Piccolo: "Count it!"

Announcer: "Uh... is he..."

Piccolo: "He's not dead. Not yet. So count!"

Announcer: "Right... um... 1... 2..."

Nappa: "Get up kid!"

Announcer: "3... 4..."

Nappa: "You get up right now! You're the prince of all saiyans! Show it!"

Announcer: "5... 6..."

Nappa: "Please... get up Goku!"

Goku hears his cries as he opens his eyes to a vision. Before his is a vision of the man he never thought he'd see again, Grandpa Gohan.

Goku: "Grandpa..."

Gohan: "Hello my boy."

Goku: "Gramdpa... I'm so..."

Gohan: "Don't be Goku. You couldn't hurt me. You would never hurt an innocent person. I'm sorry I left you like that. I should've been more cautious."

Goku: "... but..."

Gohan: "Stop blaming yourself for that. It was an accident that can't be changed. They need you. All of you. You have to stop Piccolo here and now. Because if you don't... who will...?"

Gohan then fades as dust in the wind. Meanwhile, Piccolo still holds Goku down with his foot.

Announcer: "7... 8..."

Piccolo: "It's over. 2 more seconds and I can finally kill you."

Bulma: "Hey!"

Piccolo turns as a rock bounces off his chest. Piccolo sees Bulma jump the wall and stand next to the announcer.

Bulma: "I won't let you do this!"

Piccolo: "... Ha."

He lets up on Goku and walks over to the edge of the ring to face Bulma.

Announcer: "...9... uh oh... Piccolo has released Goku! And some woman has rushed to call out Piccolo! Uh, ma'am, this is against regulations-"

Bulma: "Shut it! And you! You're nothing but a coward! Goku could break you like a twig!"

Piccolo: "Oh really? Is that so? Is that why he's laying in defeat?"

Bulma: "You'll see. He's gonna get up and put you in the ground where you belong!"

She spits on Piccolo's shoe out of spite. Piccolo looks at his foot, then to her with a grin.

Piccolo: "People of Earth... let this woman be an example of those who dare disgrace me in my rule."

He points at her and charges an energy attack.

Bulma: "!"

Nappa: "No!"

Nappa runs to try and save her, but he's beaten to the punch. Everyone is shocked as an energy beam comes around and blasts Piccolo's arm off. Piccolo screams in pain from his arm being gone. Behind him, a huge aura of golden energy shines as Goku stands up as a super saiyan.

Piccolo: "!"

Goku: "... I am Goku... prince of the saiyans... The Earth is my home... and is the home of my friends... And if you try and hurt it or them... then I'll stop you... because if I don't... WHO WILL?!"

Bulma grabs the microphone of the announcer to yell to the audience.

Bulma: "Everyone, run!"

Goku rushes in front of Piccolo and fires a Kamehameha at point blank range. The beam shoots into the sky and far out of the planet's atmosphere. As the dust settles, all the unnamed civilians have fled. Only Goku's friends and the announcer are there to see Goku in his base form standing over the downed Piccolo. Kami feels his chest and realizes what this means.

Kami: "I'm still here... so Piccolo is still alive..."

Goku: "Hey... you should start counting before he gets up again..."

Announcer: "Right! 1... 2..."

Bulma: "Woohoo! Way to go Goku! 3... 4..."

Oolong, Roshi, and Puar: "5..."

Blue and Violet: "6..."

Krillin, Yamcha, and Chi Chi: "7..."

Nappa and Bulma: "8..."

Goku: "Hehe..."

Announcer: "9..."

Piccolo: "Rah!"

Piccolo jolts up and fires an attack right through Goku's chest. Everyone gains a look of horror as he hits the ground.

Piccolo: "I will never stop! Not till you're DEAD!"

He unleashes everything as he blasts Goku with an energy blast at maximum power. The entire planet can feel the shaking of the force from his blast. All goes silent as no one can see any signs of Goku. Bulma drops to her knees as tears flow down her face. Nappa falls to his knees as well and reaches out to where Goku once stood.

Nappa: "... No..."

Krillin: "It... can't be..."

Bulma: "GOKU!"

She cries out for Goku as Piccolo laughs.

Piccolo: "It's over! Victory is mine! After all of that, my vengeance finally has been fulfilled! Now I shall conquer the world and rule as the King of all Evil!"

Kami: "Curse you!"

Piccolo: "Hahahahahaha!"

Kami: "..."

Piccolo: "Hahahahahahaha-..."

Kami: "!"

Piccolo: "!"

Bulma looks up to Piccolo and jolts from the sight. Her lip quivers as it slowly forms a smile. Nappa notices her smile and follows her gaze to see what she sees. He then begins to smile as well. Piccolo and everyone else turns to the sight of Goku flying back into the battle at top speed.

Piccolo: "That's... impossible..."

Goku: "I won't let you win Piccolo! Dragon Fist!"

Goku is covered in golden energy that takes the shape of Shenron. The golden Shenron crashes down on Piccolo in a massive explosion of power. As the dust clears, both Goku and Piccolo lay flat on the ground as the announcer gets between them. After inspecting where they landed, he calls his conclusion.

Announcer: "It's over! Piccolo is out of bounds and Goku is still in! Goku is the winner!"

Everyone cheers as they go and help Goku. He eats a Senzu Bean and is healed of his injuries. Goku jumps to his feet and picks up Bulma to spin around in joy.

Goku: "I did it! I'm the champion!"

Bulma: "Goku! Hahahaha!"

Both: "Hahahahahaha!"

Nappa: "I am more honored than ever to being your side at a time like this, my prince. You were amazing! The true legacy of the saiyan race!"

Goku: "Yes! I am the legacy of the saiyan race! Hahahaha!"

After celebrating, Goku then goes on to stop Kami from killing Piccolo. Goku reveals to everyone that if Piccolo dies, so does Kami. Meaning the Dragon Balls would be gone too. Goku gives Piccolo a Senzu Bean so they can fight another day. Piccolo flies off with an evil laugh as he swears vengeance. Tien and Chiaotzu then rush in to ask what is going on just as Kami offers the guardian's thrown to Goku.

Kami: "Think of it Goku. You'd be perfect. What do you say?"

Goku gives him a rather rude gesture, then turns around to sweep Bulma off her feet as he calls in the flying Nimbus. Everyone watches on as Goku and Bulma fly off and into the sunset. They soar across the ocean as they laugh together.

Goku: "Hey. You up for one more adventure?"

Bulma: "Well, we do have some Dragon Balls just lying around. And they could lead us to some new lands and trials."

Goku: "Then let's go!"

They laugh together as they take off for another worldwide adventure. Thus ending the Dragon Ball era of DBZ Royal Blood.
