I said I would have this out this week, so here it is. However, I don't know when I'll have any other updates up.

~Kouga's Eternal

*xXx*

"Shippo... I swear to Christ, if you don't get out of my fucking face, I will throw your scrawny ass into the the pool... from the balcony."

Cracking open blarry blue eyes, Bankotsu glared at the dog that decided 4am was a good time for playtime. When he was barked at, Bankotsu grabbed the doberman by the muzzle, albeit gently, picked his head up off the pillow, leaned towards him, and snapped right back. "Go lay down." Releasing Shippo's nose, he followed the pup with his eyes as he jumped from the bed and darted over to the couch, jumping up and laying down as told, not putting his head down until Bankotsu dropped his with an annoyed grunt.

Reclosing his eyes, he rolled over onto his side, stretching his arm out and wrapping it around Kagome's waist, pulling her into his arms with her back flush against his chest. Shifting slightly after she adjusted to her changed position, he kissed her neck where it met her shoulder before burying his face into Kagome's hair.

Kagome, also a little annoyed at being woken up, nuzzled her cheek into the new pillow she was now laying on, making it more comfortable. "Stupid dog."

While at four in the morning he didn't disagree with the statement, he did feel it necessary to defend his pet. Even if there was still as much annoyance in his voice as there was when he was first woken up. "He's only seven months old and still a puppy, and I haven't been home for a month to oversee his training."

Shifting a little more, Kagome twisted her lower back to stretch her muscles, her voice muffled by her pillow when she responded. "Stupid Bankotsu."

Reopening his eyes, Bankotsu picked his head back up, looking down at his girl's profile. Now, there was annoyance in his voice for a whole new reason. "I beg your pardon?"

Doing her best to suppress her smile, Kagome fought to keep the tired giggle out of her voice. "Stupid Bankotsu not training his damn dog not to wake people up before sunrise." It was only a second later she then found herself laying on her back, looking up at the bemused face of her clearly cranky boyfriend. "Was it something I said?"

A spark lit in the back of Bankotsu's eyes as he slowly slowly his fingertips down Kagome's side, his lips a breath away from hers. "You're gonna pay for that."

Apprehension barely had time to bubble in Kagome's stomach before Bankotsu retaliated, digging his fingers into her side, laughter erupting from her throat when he relentlessly attacked the one place on her body she was ticklish. Though she tried valiantly to escape, she was trapped with nowhere to go.

Bankotsu, taking Kagome's pointy ass elbow to the chest like a champ, chuckled under his breath as he watched her squirm. What was amusing to him was in her feeble attempt to get free, she shifted herself into a position where she was completely at his mercy. Her demands to 'stop it' went ignored, because she hadn't apologized for calling him stupid yet. Shaking his head, he spoke over her belting laughter. "Say it."

Slightly lightheaded from not getting enough air out of her gasping breaths, Kagome continued to try and get out from under Bankotsu's hand, but she was half pinned under his body, and she could barely move much less anything else. So, with no choice if she wasn't going to end up peeing in the bed, through her laughs and gasps, she choked out the words. "Okay! Alright, I'm sorry! Uncle, already."

Instantly, he stopped his assault on her side, wrapping his arm around her back as he propped his head up in his palm, a triumphant smirk on his face. "That wasn't so hard, now was it?"

Laying on her own side as she tried to catch her breath, Kagome panted as she licked her lips and looked at Bankotsu through her lashes. "That was mean."

Shrugging in response, Bankotsu flexed his arm around her, hauling Kagome's body against his. Looking down at her, he still had that damnable smirk of his in place, a brow raised, and eyes alight with amusement. "Was it?" Seeing what was clearly a fake pout form on his girl's face as she nodded, he hummed in his throat as he shifted, lowering his head and speaking against her lips. "Let me make it up to you."

If there was ever a time in her life Kagome would have thought she wouldn't be interested in strenuous activity, she would have thought it would be four in the morning, but Bankotsu was like a drug, and she was absolutely addicted. She was sort of okay when he wasn't around, but when he was, his entire being was a beckon calling to her, and when his lips pressed to hers, she near instantly melted, once again hooked on the high of his kiss.

Wrapping her arms around his neck and moving her leg so it was resting over his, Kagome pressed herself closer to Bankotsu, him responding in kind, rolling to his back and pulling her to lay on top of him. It wasn't very often she was in the more dominant position, and if she were honest, she still wasn't wholly sure what she was actually supposed to do.

It would also be something she would have to figure out another time as the silence of the predawn hour was shattered by the sound of a high pitched tone and red lights turning on.

Kagome barely hard time to scream in reaction to the security alarm going off before she found herself no longer stretched out along Bankotsu's body, and instead moved from straddling his hips to behind him in bed, his gun already in hand as Bankotsu lunged out of bed.

It was only because he had gotten up to take a piss at some point that Bankotsu was wearing pants, and without so much as a glance behind him, disengaged the safety and cocked the chamber as he pressed his back to the wall next to his door. Running several different scenarios through his head as to how anyone could have gotten close enough to the house to set off the alarm, it was then he flicked his eyes to Kagome. "No matter what you hear, stay here." Looking to the other side of the room, even before he saw whether or not his girlfriend agreed, he locked his eyes on Kouga, and jerked his chin toward the bed. "Douch."

Following his dog with his eyes as he obeyed the command and joined Kagome on the bed, Bankotsu then looked at Shippo, said 'good boy', and was out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Darkness prevailed in the hall while the piercing sound of his alarm continued to blare around him, loud enough to wake the dead, but completely ignored as he paused just long enough to press down on a locking mechanism on the floor with his heel and hearing it engage, Bankotsu was off down the hall, stopping halfway and tucking himself into the receded doorway of one of the other two rooms in his wing of his house. Looking around the side of the carved wood, he was quick to pull his head back into safety when he saw someone coming out of the other master suite.

Lips pressed in a hard line at the clear, to him anyway, implication that someone actually had the balls to break into his house with the idiotic idea of going after his girl, he waited just long enough to ensure the body heading his way had no where to hide before he rolled out of his hiding stop, one arm raised, and fired off three shots, hitting whoever the fuck it was in three key places. Once in the shoulder of their dominant arm, once in the leg, and once to the side of the abdomen. None of them were fatal on their own, though he almost loathed letting the man live. Anyone coming out of the room given to Kagome at four in the morning was no friend of his, and anyone that was stupid enough to be in her room at four in the morning deserved whatever happened to them on the way out. However, this was his chance to get information, and the only way to get it was if the man was alive.

He would be dead before sunset, though. Bankotsu would be making sure of that personally.

Bringing his other hand up to cup the butt of the gun in his hand, he kept a constant running number of how many times he pulled the trigger as he continued his way down the hall, staying to the side until he reached the end of the walls and the open catwalk. There were three gunshots inside his house in the middle of the dawn, so he knew it would only be another few moments until Ryu and Hiten showed up, those two as close to bulletproof as someone could get, but he also learned the hard way you can't always count on backup to actually show up, so until he saw them with his own eyes, he was going to assume they were dead, because if they weren't and someone got in his house, they weren't going to be alive for long.

Shoulder against the wall, very slowly, he peeked around the corner towards the front door, and seeing it closed, he moved to the other side the hall, looking down into the open space where the pool table was, but more importantly, the open glass doors. Closing his eyes and rolling his head on his shoulders, he grinned as his neck cracked and, after taking one last moment to glance back at his closed bedroom door, grabbed the railing of the walkway, and with little more than a hop, hurtled the rail and dropped the 15 feet to the floor below.

Landing in a crouch, he pointed his gun one direction, then quickly whipped around and looked the other before rising to his feet. His blue eyes almost black as he searched out every corner, looking for anything that was out of place, he slowly, methodically, cleared the open back of the house, and was just about to cross the threshold onto the back patio when his entourage finally appeared, Ryu the first Bankotsu laid his eyes one, and where he directed the barrel of the gun in his hand.

Eyes narrowed as he stood tall, back straight and arm extended, Bankotsu spoke, thouse Ryu had never heard him sound so deceptively calm with a gun in his hand, especially after firing off a few rounds outside a range. "Care to explain?"

Slowing slightly, Ryu cleared his throat, but didn't back down from his boss, knowing if he so much as flinched at the wrong moment, Bankotsu would shoot without care. "I haven't seen the keypad yet, so I don't know what set..."

Debating pulling the trigger on sheer principal, Bankotsu cut the man off. "I know what set off the fucking alarm. My question for you is how the fuck it was possible when I know I said no one inside tonight."

Much more on edge than he was a moment ago, Ryu very quickly counted heads, and then shook his own. "Hiten and I played pool until the guys got situated in position so you lady didn't freak, but everyone had been outside since midnight."

Slowly raising a brow, Bankotsu cocked his head. "Then who the fuck did I just shoot in the fucking house?" Seeing everyone in front of him shift or gulp, and having enough with the complete incompetence of the group, still irritated Kagome had seen them on her way to his room, and then just flat pissed off after being told they certainly weren't doing their jobs if someone was actually able to get past them and into his house, with no emotion whatsoever on his face, Bankotsu decided it was time to prove this wasn't the night and he wasn't one to fuck with or ignore when he gave an order.

Keeping his eyes on Ryu's for only a moment longer, he let out a silent breath from his nose before moving his still raised arm to aim a foot to the left of his 3rd, and pulled the trigger. "You're fired." Next man in line faced the same fate, also with a "you're fired".

After shooting man inside, he had five bullets left, and when he was done, there were five fired employees laid out across his patio.

Finally, even out of ammo, he once again pointed his glock at Ryu. "You won't get a third chance." Seeing a barely there nod, Bankotsu turned to the side, tossing his gun onto the pool table before taking the last step needed to get the security panel on the wall by the back door. Setting his palm against it, he looked back at Ryu as the noise finally stopped. "Now, where the hell is Hiten?"

It was almost on cue as the front doors swung open and the man in question, followed by two others, came running inside.

Hiten was met by the blazing eyes of his boss and the wider than normal ones of his partner as he came to a sliding stop under the catwalk. It was who he didn't see that had him swallowing a lump in his throat. But, he didn't get to do anything more than open his mouth before Bankotsu barked at him to shut up, causing him to snap his mouth shut.

Glaring harder at his best friend than he ever had before, Bankotsu turned to face him and crossed his arms. "I don't want to hear it. Even outside the gates it doesn't take as long to get inside as it took you. I don't know what the fuck you were doing that took so damn long, but the next time this alarm goes off in the middle of the fucking night, you better have it handled before I get out of bed, or I swear to to the Gods, Hiten, your ass is fired."

Knowing exactly how it was Bankotsu fired people, Hiten gulped and nodded without a word.

Looking back and forth between Hiten and Ryu a couple of times, Bankotsu grunted before turning away from the bodies and headed for the steps. Looking at neither man, he called over his shoulder. "Clean up my mess, gather up the walking corpse that came out of Kagome's room, and take him to the basement for a chat. I wanna who he works for, who their family is, who his family is, the name of his first fucking pet. Get the picture?" Stopping halfway to the hall, he then turned, set his hands on the railing, and looked down to who he literally hand selected to live. His voice was even but his face was more dangerous and held more promise than any of them had ever seen. "This is my house, Gentlemen; my terf. My Lady lives in a near constant state of fear of this exact scenario, and you allowed it to happen in my fucking house, after my repeated assurances it could never happen here. You turned me into a liar with the one person I could honestly say with a clear conscience I have never lied to. You took away her last chance, her last place, to feel safe. You changed my home from a fortified sanctuary to just another place someone can come and fucking go as they damn well please, no different than that shit hole apartment of hers it took me weeks to get her out of."

Pointing down the hall to his bedroom door, his blue eyes darkened and his voice took on a near gowl. "That woman will soon be my wife. She has dealt with far more than her fair share of bullshit because of stupidity, and will not be forced to deal with anymore, now I will I tolerate any more. This shit stops now, because on top of what you did with her, in one night you single handedly destroyed my pristine reputation in providing the feeling of safety, and in exchange for that, your lives now belong to me. I decide if you live or die, and when or if it happens. Good reason, bad reason, no reason at all. Just one day I'm in a shitty mood and killing someone sounds like fun? I suggest you hide."

Letting his eyes scan the pale faces looking up at him, he had a sneer on his face as he spoke again. "Come morning when Kagome is ready to start her day, I see one single drop of blood left on the floor, in the dirt, or anything in her room is not how she left it, none of you will live to see another day..." glancing back and forth between Hiten and Ryu, "... you two included."

Having nothing else to say, he turned away from the group of men and headed toward his room, wracking his brain for anything he could to say to explain what he knew Kagome heard without having to out and out tell her there was a break in, someone was in her room, and he murdered 5 people in cold blood, while also planning the very painful interrogation of whoever the fuck it was that entered his home without his permission.
