Alright, time to begin the I-Island Mini-Arc! Hope you're watching this, Beast King Achilles!
It had been a week since the Finals and Izuku had taken his pass to go to I-Island for the I-Expo. He took Ochako as his Plus One with Toshinori joining and taking Katsuki as his own Plus One. Ben also came because he had managed to procure a pass of his own and took Penny as his Plus One.
As everyone had gotten a private jet with their passes complete with First Class seats, Toshinori was currently asleep and dreaming about the past, when he first started out as All-Might. Izuku, Ochako, and Katsuki were talking about their excitement for the I-Expo while Ben was cuddling with Penny, watching a romantic comedy while sharing a milkshake with her.
"So Deku, what do you think they'll have at the I-Expo?" Ochako asked her boyfriend excitedly.
"Yeah, come on, you're smart, you should know, right?" Katsuki chimed in. Izuku pondered before shrugging to the two.
"If I'm being honest, I'm not too sure. I mean, so many brilliant minds are coming together like Doctor Frank Stein, Bulma Briefs, Dr. Igor, even Uncle Franky, and Dr. Vegapunk! Who knows what kind of crazy Support Gear they might bring to the table this year!"
"Too bad Eri, Nezuko, and Kanna couldn't come..." Ochako said sadly but was surprised to see Izuku giving her a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, they're traveling with the rest of our friends by boat. It's the sea and they ARE its children, after all!" Ochako giggled while Katsuki just chuckled and rolled his eyes before the three fell asleep, Ben and Penny finishing their movie and joining them.
Many hours later, Izuku woke to the sun shining on his face. Realizing that Ochako was snuggling up to him, he blushed as he saw Ben also waking up, rubbing his eyes as he turned to Penny and then fiddled with something behind her ear, causing her to jolt straight-up and emit the Military Revilrie bugle-horn from her soundboards.
"GAH! WE'RE UP!" Ochako, Katsuki, and Toshinori all cried while Izuku just laughed since he was prepared for it. Penny shook her head and the music stopped before giving Ben a glare and a pout, which the All for All user just laughed playfully at in response.
As Ochako was calming herself down, her eyes drew over to a large island floating through the sea and gasped when she recognized it was the group's destination; I-ISLAND!
Toshinori noticed as well and looked nervous. "This is going to be tough..."
"What do you mean, Dad-Might?" Ben asked as Toshinori gave him a look for the 'Dad-Might' comment before beginning to explain to the teens as he quickly dressed up in his Hero Costume.
"Chopper helped put in some work on my injury but I haven't been fully healed. I can go up to 5 hours now with my Buff Form but keeping it in public is gonna be a hassle." As he finished putting his costume on, Toshinori turned into his Buff All-Might Form. The teens also had their Hero Costumes in their suitcases due to being allowed permission to take them.
After disembarking their plane, the Symbol of Peace and his five young wards all got on a moving sidewalk. It was during that time that Toshinori decided to ask them all a question.
"Now, my young future Heroes, do you know why I-Island was created?"
"Is it to make Support Gear safely?" Was Ochako's answer.
"Because all the Support Nerds need protection?" Katsuki huffed with his arms folded.
"Because I-Island is a moving island on par with Tartarus Prison so not many crimes are committed and even then..." Izuku began devolving into mumbling as Ochako, Penny, and Toshinori had a good-natured laugh while Katsuki and Ben rolled their eyes and tried to snap him out of it.
After passing the immigration inspection, everyone gazed in awe as they got a full good look at I-Island. Izuku and Ochako held hands like a romantic couple gazing together at a landmark while Ben held Penny close as she wrapped her arms around him. Katsuki silently pouted since Olivia wasn't here with him but smiled when Toshinori gave him a reassuring pat on the back.
"I'm sure you and Young Olivia will meet up here soon."
"Fun fact! Here on I-Island, people can use their Quirks freely to do whatever they want except use it for criminal acts!" Penny pointed out as she went through her vast data files. Ben chuckled as he gave her a pat on the head, causing the Cute Synth to blush and giggle as her ahoge flicked back and forth like a dog tail.
"Hello and welcome to-" An attendant was about to say before he noticed Toshinori and his eyes bugged out in shock.
"A-A-ALL-MIGHT IS HERE?!"
"Ah shit, here we go again..." Ben said as he formed a pair of angel wings and picked Penny up bridal style before flying to the safety of the air while Izuku held Ochako close. Swarms of people came rushing in with excited looks at seeing the Symbol of Peace in the flesh while Katsuki had to move around to avoid getting trampled to death.
"YES, I AM HERE, EVERYBODY! NOW PLEASE, IF YOU WANT AUTOGRAPHS, PLEASE FORM A NEAT AND ORDERLY LINE, THANK YOU!" Toshinori shouted to the crowd in an effort to give his students some breathing room.
After Toshinori had finished signing the crowd's autographs, he had rejoined the teens, who had gone to get a quick drink at a nearby cafe. Izuku couldn't help but giggle at seeing his mentor covered in kiss marks while Ben and Katsuki just burst out laughing.
"I didn't think it would take that long. I hope this doesn't make us late..." Toshinori said while rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. Ben checked a wristwatch while Penny looked through the universal clock installed in her databanks, her eyes glowing lime green to showcase her robotic abilities.
"What's the rush, All-Might?" Izuku asked while sipping a drink he and Ochako were sharing with two straws.
"Oh, yes, I apologize for not telling you sooner. I'm also here to visit an old friend that I haven't seen for quite some time."
This got Izuku excited. "NO WAY! WE GET TO MEET ONE OF YOUR OLD-TIME PARTNERS FROM YOUR HAYDAY?!"
"Is he a tough no-nonsense Pro Hero who prefers to keep out of the spotlight and that's why we haven't heard of him?" Katsuki asked with his own aggressive brand of excitement.
"Oh, just a quick heads-up. My friend does not know about the secret of [One for All], so can you kids be quiet about it?" Everyone nodded, Ben even making a zipper motion with his lips which Penny cutely imitated.
"But wait, if he's a close friend of you, why wouldn't you tell him about OFA?" Izuku pointed out as his mind perked up at the thought. This earned him a slap upside the head from Katsuki.
"Dumbass, it's classic Hero protocol! If his friend doesn't know, it's probably 'cause All-Might doesn't wanna put him in unnecessary danger!"
"Bakugou's got a point."
"Yes, very astute observation, Young Bakugou!"
Before the group could get a move on, they heard a distinct sound coming closer and closer. Turning, they saw a girl with long blonde hair and glasses bouncing on a red futuristic pogo stick.
"There you are, Uncle Might!"
Toshinori beamed happily as he spread out his arms and the girl dove down and leaped into his embrace.
"Melissa, my girl! It's been ages!"
"Oh my goodness, Uncle! It's been FOREVER since I last saw you! I can't believe you're finally here!"
"And you've gotten so much bigger since I last saw you! You've practically sprouted like a weed!"
As Toshinori and the girl began reminiscing and laughing like they were close relatives reuniting with each other, Izuku, Ben, Katsuki, Ochako, and Penny stared in confusion and in Penny's case, adoration.
"Isn't that so sweet?" The Synth piped up as Ben scratched the back of his head awkwardly and approached the two.
"Hey, All-Might, were you planning on introducing us to this lovely lady?" He said as politely as he could. Toshinori set the girl down and smiled as he decided to make introductions.
"Everyone, this is Melissa, the daughter of my friend, David." Melissa dear, these are Ben Shigura, Katsuki Bakugou, Ochako Uraraka, Penny Polendina, and of course Portgas D. Izuku!"
"Or Gol D. Izuku or Midoriya D. Izuku. I don't care about whichever." Izuku stated humbly as Melissa smiled and shook his hand before doing the same for the others.
"It's so cool to finally meet the people that Uncle Might teaches at UA! And the legendary daughter of the philanthropist, Pietro Polendina among them, to boot!"
Penny blushed sheepishly as Melissa looked at her with a bright smile. "Umm, yes, it is nice to see that you know me!"
Ben gave the blonde bespectacled girl a glare as he pulled Penny away from her and hugged his Synth Girlfriend close to his body. Melissa completely ignored the glare as she turned to Izuku, Ochako, and Katsuki.
"Can you guys tell me what your Quirks are?" She asked as she took out a notepad and pen.
"Oh, my Quirk is [Zero-Gravity]! I can remove the gravity of anything or anybody I touch and make them float!" Ochako stated cheerfully.
"Mine is [Explosion]! I can basically blow shit up with my bare hands!" Katsuki said next with a proud expression on his face as explosions crackled over his palms.
"Mine are [Flame] and [Quake]. The first Quirk lets me create, manipulate and transform into flames while the second Quirk lets me manipulate and create shockwaves that are powerful enough to crack the air itself." Izuku said while turning his left hand into a plume of flames and covering his right hand in a Quake Bubble.
"That's amazing! I've heard all about you, Izuku! You're the rising superstar of the nation right now!" As Melissa began inspecting Izuku, she didn't notice Ochako giving her a jealous glare but everyone else did and Ben and Katsuki couldn't help but smirk as they saw Izuku panic.
"None of you guys use Support Gear though. Maybe I can help fix that..." She muttered before Toshinori cleared his throat as he made a gesture for her to look and see Ochako and Izuku and she immediately backed off.
"S-Sorry, I got distracted! Come on, if we hurry, we might be able to surprise Papa in his lab!" Melissa then went over to her pogo stick and much to everyone's shock, she stored it into her watch.
"Now THAT is cool...but she didn't ask me about my Quirk...maybe it's for the best..." Ben said sadly as Penny patted him on the back. Soon, the group followed after Melissa as she led them to one of the main buildings.
Meanwhile, back at the Immigration port, a group of shadowed individuals were overlooking everything as a man with a metal mask held a phone to his head.
"We infiltrated the Expo with no hassle. When do the goods arrive?"
"3:00 PM. You'll find them at Gate 66." A filtered voice spoke from the other end.
"Good. Now then...for our next order of business..." The metal masked man then dialed another number on his phone and after patiently waiting, he managed to get a connection.
"Hi, welcome to McDonald's, can I place an order for delivery?"
"Yeah, me and my boys would like 6 20-piece McNuggets, 10 orders of Large Fries-"
"And a Diet Coke!" Piped up one of the shadowy figures next to the metal masked man.
"-5 Big Macs, 4 Quarter Pounders, 6 Filet-o-Fish Sandwiches, 3 Oreo McFlurries, 1 M&M McFlurry, 2 Hot Fudge Sundaes-"
"AND A DIET COKE!" The same guy piped up again, not wanting to be ignored.
"-*Sigh* and 6 Large Sodas...make one of them a Diet Coke and label it."
"YAY!" The guy who demanded a diet coke cheered childishly.
"And how will you be paying?" asked the McDonald's worker on the other end.
"Don't worry...we got connections." The metal-masked man chuckled as he finished with the order and hung up.
"Well boys, first we dine and then we drive!" This elicited cheers from his allies in response.
Meanwhile, in one of the tallest buildings in I-Island, a middle-aged man with glasses, brown hair, and a goatee was looking at some pictures on his phone and stopped at one of him when he was younger along with All-Might, who was also younger at the time as well.
"Excuse me? David?" A plump man with thinning blonde hair said in a timid tone as he approached the man.
"Yes, Sam?"
"Just so you know, I finished putting the equipment away."
The brown-haired bespectacled man smiled. "Already? Thanks, Sam."
"Anyways, why don't you go join Ms. Melissa for Lunch?" The timid man known as Sam asked while fixing his black bowtie.
"I would love more than anything to spend time with Melissa, but she's busy at the Academy..." David responded solemnly.
"Huh, but everyone is on break for the I-Expo. What's got her busy?"
"She's putting in the effort to go into independent research. That girl is determined."
"What can I say, I AM my father's daughter!" Melissa joked as she stepped into the room, surprising the two men.
"Oh, Melissa, hey!" David responded with a smile to his daughter as Sam gave her a polite bow.
"I figured that since you finished the first part of your project, I'd invite someone over to celebrate!" David tilted his head in confusion until he noticed a familiar tall presence and silently gasped.
"Toshi?"
"YES, I AM HERE! SHAKING WITH EMOTION AT OUR HEARTFELT REUNION!" Toshinori announced bombastically as he proceeded to run over and pick up his old friend in a tight bearhug.
"Is that really him?" Sam asked in amazement.
"YES! I CAME ALL THIS WAY JUST TO SEE MY OLD BUDDY DAVE AGAIN!" Toshinori laughed before noticing the uncomfortable look David had on his face and loosening his hold but still keeping him in a big hug.
"NO WAY! YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH PROFESSOR DAVID SHIELD?! ONE OF THE TOP SCIENTISTS WHO WON THE NOBLE QUIRK PRIZE?! YOU WERE ONE OF ALL-MIGHT'S SIDEKICKS WHEN HE WAS IN AMERICA!" Izuku squealed in excitement as he and the others came in before doing a stiff 90-degree bow. David perked up with a confused expression as Toshinori settled him down and decided to explain.
"David, my old friend, this is Portgas D. Midoriya and alongside him are some of my most prized students; Ochako Uraraka, Katsuki Bakugou, Ben Shigura, and Penny Polendina!"
"Ah, the first-ever robot with a soul, given life by the famed Pietro Polendina of Detnaret. It truly is nice to meet you, Ms. Polendina." David said politely while offering his hand for Penny to shake, which the Cute Synth shyly accepted.
"Well, you're pretty impressive yourself, Mr. Shield! You made most of All-Might's costumes back in the Gold and Silver Ages and you have an IQ of 300, which not many people can attest to having!"
"Heck, I have a super-powerful Quirk but my IQ is only 64!" Ben joked as he tapped his head while Penny giggled at her boyfriend's joke. Toshinori then suddenly coughed as David gained a worried expression while Izuku, Katsuki, Ochako, Ben, and Penny all flinched, knowing their mentor was straining himself again. David moved to support his old friend as he turned to the teens.
"Listen, it's been a while and you kids probably want to do some exploring. So why don't you go with Melissa and walk around while me and Toshi catch up." David advised as the teens nodded and left.
"Come on, guys! I'll take you on a tour of the Expo!" Melissa exclaimed excitedly as the other teens smiled and followed after her while David gave Sam a gentle look.
"Sam, you should go too. You've worked enough for one day." The man nodded as he left, leaving Toshi and David alone together.
The teens had left the building when Melissa decided to ask them something.
"So, what are your Hero Names, anyway? Just curious."
"You can call me Ground Zero!" Katsuki said in a boastful tone while gesturing to himself.
"I'm Uravity!" Ochako chirped while striking a heroic pose.
"I just go by my normal name, Penny. But in a sense, I guess you could say I'm using the acronym basis for my name; P.E.N.N.Y.!"
"I'm All for All, you probably haven't heard of me. I's a long story." Ben said with a shrug as Melissa looked at him curiously before turning to Izuku, who smiled.
"And you can just call me Deku Badguy!"
Melissa giggled, liking the names the others had. She then led the way as the group made their way to the Expo preview.
Back with David and Toshinori, the latter had allowed his Muscle Form to turn off as he slumped against a wall. David ran over to support his friend with a concerned expression.
"Jesus, you said it was bad, but not THIS bad. What the hell happened?"
"I've been getting weaker, old pal. Thankfully, my injuries were treated somewhat by the Straw Hats Doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, but my power is slowly running out all the same..." The blonde skeletal man muttered as David carried him over to the lab, which had a high-tech medical bed in the style of a stasis pod.
"Come on, let's get you checked up."
And so concludes the first part of the Two Heroes Mini-Arc! What new surprises will show up in store for Izuku and Co.? FIND OUT NEXT TIME!
