I have added something in previous chapters as well as fixed somethings I hope I also fixed some plot holes I had and explained things a little clearer.
With Natsu his POV
After the fight with Gajeel and Levy I decided to explore the island a little bit something was odd about this island I got a wired feeling just being here and the other thing this island was affecting my magic in some weird way. He wondered if it was because of the legend about this island once being populated by fairies. He had met a couple fairies when he was younger and they had a temper that could rival his own when they got angry and their power was connected to nature so it could explain why this island had so much magic power.
I had no way to find out for sure so I should probably be more careful how I use my magic here; as demonstrated with my fight earlier a lot more of my magic was being used without realizing and that means if this continued I could run out of the magic I am is allowed to use a lot faster which could risk more damaged to the seals. I sighed of course it would make my life so much easier if I didn't have to deal with the seals in the first place or just go back to when I first joined the guild where they didn't bother me as much. Yes, I had always had them after Igneel had left but I was younger (in human years) I wasn't in large scale fights one right after another that forced me to push agented the seals more often to draw on more magic to beat my opponents to save the guild. But of course, I had no way to remove the seals on their own. yes, I could push myself calling on more magic until they broke but that was dangerous and it hurt a lot. Especially after the fights like the fight with Jellal and then Zero where I pretty much passed out because of the pain.
Walking thought the island was actually kind of peaceful despite the odd feeling I was getting here. There were also new creatures that lived on this island that I tried to talk with some of them and to asked them questions but more times than not they tried to avoid me which I understood or tried to eat me which I found annoying. One creature I came a crossed did say there was a stranger man on the island that didn't belong here so I decided to go looking for this strange person. After walking in silence for a little while the sent of death filled my nose as well as the scents of Elfmen and Evergreen so I took off running hoping to get there before it was too late.
"get down!" I shouted as I landed on my two guild mates was a death cloud passed over us. Whoever this guy is, he was dangerous… we stared at each other in silence the strange man seemed to know me as tears ran down his face as he said my name.
The question was did he know me as Natsu the dragon slayer or Natsu the dragon prince… we did not speak as I listened to the wind though the dead trees and leaves crumbling in the wind.
"I am glad you showed up when you did Natsu." Evergreen sighed relived
"I am too but could you give us a heads-up next time." Elfmen grunted as I got off the two and stood in front of them. "everything is withered." Evergreen gasped looking around them.
"yeah excepted us?" Elfmen spoke not really knowing how they survived
"he is no ordinary wizard." Evergreen whispered
"yeah and what is with the tears." Elfmen asked also in a whisper I did not answer them just listened and watched the man in front of us
"you have grown I have been waiting for you Natsu." The man spoke quietly my eyes widened 'how does he know me?' I thought
"tell me who you are I won't ask again." I hissed
"when will this destruction end I don't want to kill anymore, how long must I wait Natsu?" the man asked in a whisper fresh tears running down his face just then the black miss surrounded him again. "run away!" He shouted as he held his head in pain. The sense of death started to overwhelm my senses.
"it is the same black wave." Elfmen gasped
"it instantly drains the life force of anything it touches." Evergreen stated as they stepped back not sure what to do.
"Natsu?!" Elfmen shouted
"get out of here right now!" I ordered turning to shout at them. I turned to run too but I was caught up in the cloud of death. As it passed the already dead trees they seemed to crumble away to nothing. Then the cloud disappeared again and I groaned
"that sucked." I sighed coughing
"Natsu your alive?" Evergreen gasped
"yeah what about him? It looked like he lost control." I asked coughing some more
"he's gone." Evergreen gasped looking around to see if she could spot the stranger.
"you sound disappointed." Elfmen stated as he got up from where he had jumped to get out of death cloud's range.
I checked to see if I was still in once peace I didn't know how I survived that attack but I wasn't complaining that was powerful death magic and by all accounts I should be dead… was the reason I was alive because I was not human? Igneel always told me that Dragons can take a lot more magic attacks without dying because of our scales which can absorb and defect magic. In this human form I knew I was a lot tougher than normal humans but I didn't think that my scales still protected me from that kind of magic in this from.
Somewhere else Normal POV
Another dark and mysterious threat was making its way to Tenrou island… the dark guild grimoire heart one of the three top dark guilds.
"we have found what we are looking for and he seems to be in a state of rest." Ultear spoke "our time is upon us master hades."
"I will finally meet the man that showed the world the true potential of the dark arts." The man in the shadow smiled "his horde of demons created chaos and death toles without equal he lived for catastrophe in all man's history he is the most wicked the black wizard Zeref… the day is upon us it is time to get to work Tenrou island will run red with the blood of fairies."
"don't forget master hades that Fairy tails strongest are gathered on that island awakening Zeref won't be a simple task." Ultear warned
"enough talk those sad bunch of weakly shouldn't be called a guild I got more power in this one finger when I am done with them they will be ash beneath my boot. "Zancrow laughed as black flames surrounded his body. The other members gathered just smiled
"be where of being over confident Zancrow." Ultear spoke
"you should never underestimate ones appoint." Capricorn spoke "however I have confidence we will come out victorious." The other members agreed
"no one will be able to withstand our might not even fairy tail; their strongest wizard will soon know the meaning of true darkness for we are grimoire heart we walk the path of devils and will force this world into darkness.
back at camp
"do you think they will be all right they have been gone for a while?" Lisanna asked
"Erza is an S-class wizard and Juvia was in the running so that makes them capable Wizards they can take care of themselves." Freed stated
"Gildarts is there something wrong?" Mira asked as the fairy tails ace hadn't spoken in a while and just stared off into the distance with a stern look on his face. But Mira's voce brought him back from his thoughts.
"oh no its nothing just thinking how the second trial is going." He said laughing it off but in side he couldn't shake the feeling of something dark and powerful was coming.
With Gajeel and Levy
"I don't get what the point to this stupid trial is I only came to fight Salamander and maybe Erza." Gajeel grumbled as the two walked thought the forest
"oh, so you didn't come to help me get S-class!" Levy snapped glaring at the dragon slayer she was getting tired of his complaining about the trials. When Gajeel didn't answer she ran off thought the forest "I thought he was actually becoming a nice guy but now this… is he just a jerk!" She cried just then a samurai and a chicken jumped out of the bushes and attack the chicken held her down as the samurai was swing his sword down to cut her in half she screamed losing her eyes waiting for the pain to come but when it didn't she opened her eyes to see Gajeel standing over blocking the sword with his arm and his other arm sent an iron pole to the chicken's face making him let go of levy
"you know it is pretty hard to keep track of you when you go running off like that." Gajeel spoke not looking at Levy as the two enemies got their barring and backed up way from the dragon slayer. "seriously don't leave my side…" once Levey got over the shock of being attacked she nodded and got up facing the chicken man
Levy eyes widened when she saw their guild marks "grimoire heart I don't understand what are they doing here?"
"the old man is more creative then I thought if these guys are part of the trial." Gajeel said smiling
"master wouldn't do that my guess is that they suck onto the island to cause trouble."
"whatever as long as I get to beat someone up. dealing with the unexpected is an even more important skill then fighting if you can't adapt then you don't deserve to get to S-class." Gajeel spoke cracking his knuckles and got into a fighting stance.
"grimoire heart is one of the most powerful dark guilds out there were not even allowed to fight them without approval from the council." Levy explained her voice started to shake just then the samurai started laughing
"that is the problem with official guilds what it the point in joining if you have to be restricted by rules!" He shouted
"that's no way to fight a war if you ask me." The chicken squawked
"are you guys done talking!" Gajeel growled just then the samurai wrought the Japanese charter for sound with his sword both mages covered their ears in pain. Then the chicken attacked Levy had to pull Gajeel to the ground to avoid the attack since Gajeel couldn't hear calling out to him the samurai attacked, Gajeel barely managed to dodge the sword with all the Nosie he could hear them coming. Levy drew the word silent in the air and the sound stopped now it was Gajeel's turn to attack. But his advantage ended quickly has the samurai attack harder Gajeel covered himself in scales but the samurai still manage to cut him. Levy screamed as Gajeel's scales disappeared and he fell to the ground.
"if all the mages are as weak as these two we might as well take them all out before the main force arrives." The samurai guy boosted
"there are more of you?" Gajeel painted holding his side in pain as Levy crawled to him.
"levy run this isn't going to be a simple fight."
"I can't just leave you-" she was cut off when Gajeel snapped is head to look at levy
"get out of here you have to warn the others what happing!" he shouted levy got up and ran but before she left she wrote the word iron to help Gajeel beat these dark wizards.
"you think you want to go to war agents fairy tail! I did too way back when." Gajeel spoke slowly getting to his feet with the extra strength levy left him. His mind went back to when he fought Natsu when he was apart of phantom lord and he chuckled "your about to find out how bad you screwed up." He hissed darkly the fight continued now in Gajeel's favor
"I will never lose to scum like you because I am a fairy tail wizard!" He shouted shattering the samurai's sword as the strength master Makarov restored in him and the fighting drive of Natsu went thought his body. Once he defeated the two he collapses the strength leaving his body.
"Gajeel!" levy shouted as she ran to him
"told you I could beat them on my own." He whispered
"yeah you did" she said with tears in her eyes." As Erza and Juvia came up behind her They herded laughing
"the main fighting force of grimoire heart is at our heels and with those with the power that far exceeds my own they are called the seven kin of purgatory."
"right now, we need to put the trail on hold." Erza stated as she summoned a flare gun "we need to prepare for battle condition red." She called as a red-light shot to the sky. Everyone on the island could see it.
"what an enemy attack who dares attack our sacred island!" Makarov asked from Mavis' grave.
"a red flare what does that mean." Loke asked from their hiding spot
"enemy sighting." Gray answered
"we need to get to the emergence rendezvous we need to find out what's happing first" Loke said as he and Gray came out of their hiding spot from following Lucy and Cana.
"as if the trial wasn't hard enough." Lucy groaned.
Natsu saw the flare and his eyes narrowed 'red flare means enemy attack' Natsu thought "I be it has something to do with that death magic user" Natsu added out loud
Erza got the samurai to tell her their plans to find Zeref that happened to be somewhere on the island and told them that Zeref never died he has in fact been living all these centuries but in a kind of slumber.
at this every moment the three exceeds had found Wendy and Mest; Panther lily trying to find out who this guy actually was. Panther lily explained his reasoning to making these assumptions then out of nowhere Mest lunged for Wendy as the hill side they were standing on exploded.
"what is going on!" lily shouted landing in front of the two mages
"come out now!" Mest shouted then the tree began to move a changed to form a man
"you are quite impressive… I am from grimoire heart my name is Azuma. And one of the seven kin of purgatory."
"so that was what the flare was some one must have run into more of these freaks… but to think that Zeref and grimoire heart are on this island well this must be my lucky day." Mest spoke his eyes turning dark and greedy
"who are you?" Happy shouted
"isn't it obvious I am from the magic council I infiltrated you ranks to find intel that would bring you down once and for all and what better place than the guilds most sacred ground..." he snapped
"you're a spy." Carla spat hating that the feeling that she was right.
"but a bigger fish just landed in my grasp grimoire heart if I take them out my career is as good as made." he laughed "I even have the magic council battle ships on stand by once the dark guild grimoire heart makes land fall it will be game over for them." Mest smirked
"those battle ships look so fragile from here" Azuma stated just then all the ships exploded everyone eyes wide.
"oh no all of those people!" Wendy gasped
"but how!" Lily gasped at all the destruction. Panther lily went into attack thanks to Wendy's support magic but he still couldn't touch the guy so when Wendy came up with a plan she asked Mest for help.
"weren't you listening I am not your ally I am with the council"
"do you think who you work for matters to me all I want to do is protect fairy tail so help me do that!" Wendy shouted determination burning in her eyes.
"I only came to this island to destroy fairy tail to further my career."
"an you will fail there is no one in existence that can take us down!" Wendy shouted Mest eyes widened at the sweet little girls' anger.
"eliminating this guy takes priority now." Mest thought deciding to help Wendy fight grimoire heart.
"pathetic." Azuma sighed as a huge tower of fire surrounded him hitting the exceeds Wendy and Mest in one massive attack.
'I never thought the seven kin of purgatory possessed this much power and there are six more of these guys!' Mest thought as he struggled to look at the dark mage 'we are all domed fairy tail doesn't have a chance.'
With Natsu
"a tower of fire…" Natsu spoke only he uses magic like that in the guild so that must mean they are one of the enemy Natsu changed directions and took off running again to where the tower of fire is. once he got there he was Happy, Carla, lily and Wendy unconscious 'they must have taken the full attack I saw.' Natsu thought as he tried to wake up Wendy beating himself up for not getting there sooner. Then he saw the body of Mest his eyes narrowed he was not a member of the guild but it looked like he was hit with the same attack the hit the others. Natsu saw that he was getting up so he grabbed the man's shirt collar and asking who he was.
"Natsu Mest is a member of the magic council." Wendy stated as she also regained conscious Natsu eyes narrowed
"what are you doing here." Natsu asked tightening his grip on the mage. "Are you the enemy that attacked us?" Natsu growled
"no, the enemy is grimoire heart." Carla answered weakly
"we didn't stand a chance." Happy groaned "how are we going to fight off their entire guild on our own?" happy sighed just then members of grimoire heart began to fall from the sky. Soon every group was surrounded by masked members of grimoire heart.
Natsu let go of Mest and stood to protect his guild mates he let out a low growl that definitely didn't sound human. Natsu knocked away the masked members of grimoire heart like the were nothing but flies.
With Makarov
With Ultear's magic the ship that carried grimoire heart was fixed after Makarov destroyed realizing that brute force to get the ship to leave was going to work "I will give you the count of three to get out of my sight or you and your comrades will see the other side of oblivion." He boomed as he started to cast Fairy law. But on the count of three hades stated to cast a similar spell but instead of light it was black.
"grimoire law." hades muttered "now if one of us doesn't back down from this little duel there will be a scare on this earth with cataclysmic proportions. Makarov immediately dispelled his fairy law eyes wide in horror and shock.
"how… this can be possible." Makarov stated now knowing the enemy that stands before him was non other then Fairy tails second master Precht.
"you are looking well boy." He said in a mock tone
"it is you master pricked…" "why is this some kind of sick joke!" Makarov asked the master of grimoire heart said nothing he casted a spell a two large chain with claw like points on the end hit fairy tails master in his shoulders making fall back into the island and transform back into his original size.
"so, you traded in your ideas for a darker robe?"
"you still view the world in black and white I hoped becoming guild master would have broadened you view 'boy'" Hades spoke
"forgive me if I don't give a dam but I see my enemy clearly." He snapped standing back to his feet. "I always hated that nick name I wanted to deck you every time you used it but I don't have a desire to fight you now leave before I do something drastic." Makarov growled
"fate has choses me to be fairy tails destruction." Hades shouted
"first you are going to have to go thought me." Makarov shouted as they both charged up their magic.
"if you want to throw you live away so be it 'Boy'" the both charged up their magic power light vs dark in every meaning of the phrase.
"what is this?!" Makarov asked as several purple magic circles surrounded him he cased defensive magic then the spell went off a large purple white dome surrounded the area taring apart the land in it power.
"I expect no less from my successor it is no surprise you held the guild together for 48 years."
'I -I don't understand this you were an amazing guild master who spoke of harmony and tried to lead us to a path of righteousness. did you change your mind or was it all a lie?" Makarov breathed blood leaked from is wounds and he was fighting just to stay standing that last attack had taken a lot out of him. Hades just glared he then raised his hand and Makarov went crashing to the ground. He explained his view on the history of magic and how it always seemed to come back to Zeref. He turned and walked away leaving Makarov's unconscious form
"rest now fairy tail will rest here with Mavis." 'Makarov's brats don't stand a chance everyone of the seven kin of purgatory is trained in a form of forbidden lost magic everyone of fairy tail finest will crumble like lost leave to blow away in the kin's overwhelming might' hades thought as he walked back to his ship.
Every group was fighting hard against the seeming never ending masked men (and women) Lucy, Cana, Gray and Loke fought in the ruins and were angry that this guild dares attack them. then realized with the never-ending army they weren't going to last long once their power ran out. Juvia and Erza battle them in the marshes and were faring the same. Freed, Lisanna, Bixslow and Mira fought them at the camp. Elfmen and Evergreen fought them in the forest Evergreen tuning them to stone. And then there was Ultear wondering the forest looking for Zeref and Gildarts running tough the forest looking for enemies
Back with Natsu
Natsu felt the dark magic being used and his anger started to boil over he was wasting his time with these weakling Mest had wondered off leaving Natsu to protect the cats and Wendy. Panther lily tried to help fight but he couldn't hold his original form for very long because of his lack of magic power and his injuries.
"you guys should hide until you can fight again I can take car of these guy!" Natsu spoke as 20 of them went flying because of Natsu power. "attacking our island is bad enough but if you hurt anyone one of my friends there will be hell to pay Natsu spoke darkly just then a fire ball shot towards Natsu he waited until it engulfed him
"my fire is hot enough to melt rock I don't care that he was a fire wizard he couldn't have suri- what the hell!" one of the dark mages shouted as Natsu sucked in the fire replenishing us spent magic
"what is this guy he is eating fire!"
"wait is he the one everyone talks about the dragon slayer Natsu the salamander!" one of them shouted their voice trembling
"thanks for the snack." Natsu smirked as he wiper his mouth with the back of his hand. And in one massive attack finished most of them off.
"No matter what we throw at this monster we can't even touch him!" One of them shouted to scared to move. He turned facing the last remaining masked men that spoke
"who are you calling a monster" Natsu growled his eyes glaring. Which just made them freak out more
"enough it is my turn!" someone new shouted with a lot more power appeared on top of the little cliff side he had long yellow hair and red eyes as he smiled down at Natsu
"its Zancrow!" someone shouted sounded shock and a little bit relived
"leave him to me I was hoping to get some exercise on this trip… I will pound the runt in the dirt while you go such for Zeref judging from what I seen so far is shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
"Zeref…" Natsu whispered the man he saw must have been him
"so, their goal really was Zeref." Wendy stated
"and we just got caught in the middle." Lily sighed
"I thought I told you guys to hind!" Natsu shouted not turning his back from the new player as the grimoire heart masked members that could move slowly walked way saying their thanks. But one thing catches Zancrow's attention.
"I had no idea fairy tail had some this strong. He defiantly lives up to his rep."
"hold it!" Zancrow shouted making the wizard freeze and turn to face the black mage "he's strong this fairy tail pansy Scares you!?"
"it was a slip of the tong please forgive us." They cried
"there is no one alive that can come close to grimoire heart… understand" He growled black flames sounding his body.
"black flames?" Natsu asked himself he had never seen black flames before
"if you think he is stronger then us then you don't belong here!" he shouted turning his magic on his own men burning them to aah with his black flames and Laughing.
"you jerk how could you do that to your friends!" Natsu shouted Dragons honored loyalty and honor above all else and these humans treat it like a joke he hated that more then anything when someone mistreated, betrayed their comrade their friends.
"they weren't my friends; it isn't any of your busy anyway and if I was a weak as you I would be care full who I ran my mouth too!" He hissed shouting a wave of black flames towards Natsu.
"you idiot don't you know those flames aren't going to hurt me!" Natsu shouted but when the flames touched him he trued to suck in the flames but they would not obey his commands "what is this!" Natsu shouted
"that's what you get for being so cocky." Zancrow laughed "now it was time for the main course!" he shouted throwing a large fair ball at Natsu
"I thought fire dragons could eat any flame in existence!?" Carla asked and Happy called out Natsu's name they had move back but were still watching the fight. When the flames disappeared Natsu was still standing and unscathed.
"that's what you get for trying to head above your standard you loathly dragon hunter. Do you like my divine flames?!" Zancrow shouted "you up against a god slayer."
Natsu eyes widened a 'god slayer' in 400 hundred years he has never heard of a god slayer.
"let's see if I can scrounge a meal out of those pathetic flames.
"I will forward to seeing you chock on them." Natsu hissed
Each group and won against the flunkies but the fight was far from over as the seven kin of purgatory came out to play Gray's group up against Capricorn Juvia and Erza up agents Meredy the base camp group against Azuma Natsu agents Zancrow Evergreen and Elfmen up against Rustyrose.
"I was hoping of more power from a dragon hunter you're not holding back on me are you?" he taunted
"I know who you are Dragon breath you are famous in the dark guilds balm of alliance because of all the destruction you leave in your wake. You stopped lullaby, stopped our planes for Deliora, Jellal in the tower of heaven you took out master Zero and Nirvana but if you think you are hot stuff because of that you have another think coming because those guys didn't hold a candle against me."
"you sure sound cocky a god slayer what even is that you expect me to believe a god trained you!" Natsu shouted the two flames collided taring up the ground sending Natsu and his comrades of the cliff and Zancrow in the other direction.
"who is that guy? It has been a long time since flames have felt hot to me." Natsu asked himself then a familiar sent filled his nose he took off running and came to a creator of sorts and Makarov was in the middle he wasn't moving.
"no way hey are you ok!" Natsu asked when he got to him Makarov slowly opened his eyes
"Natsu…" he spoke weakly
"your hurt really bad what happened to you?"
"Natsu listen the chances of us beating grimoire heart and very low…" Natsu eyes widen he wasn't hearing this was he?
"are you out of your mid the gramps I know would never say that…"
"Natsu I beg you gather all the others and leave this island while you can." Makarov whispered his strength waning.
"would you quit talking like that… as fairy tails master you are supposed to support us not tell us to give up.
"that may be true but sometimes the best thing to do is retreat." Just then a ball of black fire landed in the clearing.
"well it looks like master hades did a number on you hey Makarov."
"he's the one that did this!" Natsu let out a low growl and stood
"let it go remember what I told you." Makarov spoke then looked at Natsu trembling hand 'he is tumbling in fear?' as long as Makarov had known this boy not once did Natsu seem afraid of a fight.
"what is this feeling? Is it fear?" Natsu asked himself looking down at his trembling hands
"it must be terrifying for a runt like you to be facing my ultimate power." Zancrow laughed Natsu surrounded himself in flame
"you are right this is fear I am feeling but it is not because of you I am trembling because someone else might get the chance to beat up the guy that did this to gramps before I have the chance to get a few good licks in." he growled his voice becoming darker the more he talked
'this power I felt it briefly when he was a boy I didn't imagen it.' Makarov thought eyes wide as he saw Natsu's teeth become shaper and more like fangs. And in the flames his eyes looked red.
"your going to pay. I will be the one to take out hades."
"your going to take out master hades. You won't be able to do that if you can't even beat me." Zancrow shouted. Natsu didn't say anything as he seemed to have appeared in front of the god slayer and punched Zancrow in the face pushing him back a little way "I told you your flames have no effect on me!"
"no way he uses fire magic too?" Makarov asked as he saw Natsu charging the black flame user
"my divine flame has nothing on you dragon flames they are on a completely different level!" He continued to shout as his flames cut several trees Natsu slammed one on to the god slayer but the Black flame blow it up surrounding the area in dust and smoke. Then out of nowhere black flames surrounded Natsu. 'damit' Natsu thought
"once my flames got you there is nothing you can do until you have been turned to ash." He laughed as the dust settled. Natsu attempted to eat the flames again he screamed the black flames were powerful and fought agents Natsu magic for space and against the seals.
"told you there is no way you can ever eat my divine flames" then a giant hand grabbed Zancrow
"what kind of heartless monster would hurt one of my children right before my vary eyes! Stop or I will crush you like an insect!"
"you don't have enough strength old man." Zancrow shouted black flames surrounding his body "you better let go of me soon or the only thing that will vanish without a trace is your arm."
"you really want to lose that arm" Zancrow shouted when Makarov just tighten his grip
"if that is what it takes" he growled
"gramps just let go of him!" Natsu shouted then both Zancrow and Natsu shouted for him to let go
"I pity you young man because you don't know the power of family." Makarov said sadly Natsu surrounded himself in his own flames
"is it gong to be the dragon hunter, Makarov or me?!" Zancrow asked "one of us will kick the bucket first Natsu screamed as his fire surrounding his body pulsed and grew smaller until it was gone.
'Natsu magic power it's gone.' Makarov thought eye wide as he stared into the black flames seeing Natsu body flop over and go limp
"well it looks like the dragon hunter is first to go." Zancrow shouted but then Natsu started to inhale as the black flame surrounding him and Makarov's arm disappeared "no this is impossible he shouldn't be able to eat my flames!"
"I didn't know there was a special trick to eating curtain types of flame." Natsu smiled trying to mask the pain the seals were giving him.
'He drained himself of his own magic power in order to become a vessel capable to eat undeniable flame… I wouldn't call that level of magic a trick.'
"how foolish Natsu do you want to die!"
"of course, I don't gramps and I won't let anyone else ether." He said black flames forming on his left hand and his usual orange on his right' he slammed his fist together two massive fire balls hitting Zancrow full force and mixed together. Makarov eyes were wide in disbelief at the amount of power in the attack. Turning Zancrow's body to ash.
'That strategy seems impossible but he doesn't know the meaning of that word.' Makarov smiled proud that he had won.
"gramps…" Natsu voice brought Makarov out of his thought as he looked at Natsu still facing away from him. "let's keep fighting I know sometimes you need to know your limits and fall back but this is not one of those times these people made an enemy out of fairy tail… We got to show them that no one could do that because you can never defeat a guild that has as much heart as we do not without a fight. Right gramps." Natsu spoke tuning slightly to see Makarov before he fell to one knee breathing hard. 'dame that hurt.' Natsu thought sat the rest of the way down.
After Natsu won Wendy and the others showed up to heal both of them the Natsu started sniffing the air
"I know this smell!" Natsu jumped to his feet
"what smell?" Happy asked
"Wendy can you smell it too?' Carla asked
"no sorry there are so many new scents out here I am having trouble figuring out who's who. " Wendy sighed
"Natsu who you catch a whiff of." Happy asked
"it's Lucy she's in trouble!" Natsu shouted then took off happy close behind him.
"I have to admit I am envious of Natsu's powerful snout he is just like an animal" Panther lily stated
"well it is Natsu." Carla sighed
Lucy was fighting one of the Seven kin of purgatory well fighting seems a little bit of a stretch as she was mostly running for her life just then Natsu came out of no where and kicked him in the face sending him to a tree.
"Natsu!" Lucy shouted relived to see a friendly face.
"I'm here too!" Happy cried hating being ignored
"happy when did you get on the island?" Lucy asked in shock.
"now I am so hungry and the main course just arrived." The man said getting up and bending Mr. cursey in many different ways making Lucy scream and cry "I got one of your hairs when you were running away." He laughed just then Happy nagged the doll and made Lucy but Natsu head in her chest which he didn't really apricate, then dark wizard swiped happy way making him drop the doll. Before Kain Hikaru could grab it Natsu snatched it away he couldn't dodge Kain Hikaru fist Natsu was sent flying into a rock wall trapping him under some boulders
"damit I'm stuck I can't get free." Natsu hissed
"don't worry I will summon Virgo to get you out." She started but then her body felt weak "no this is not the time to run out of magic power."
"run Lucy!" Natsu said as the member of grimoire heart seven kin was behind her she screamed as she was thrown hard into the ground.
"relax little man you have a front row seat to her execution." Happy came flying back and tried to fight only to be slammed into a tree.
"Lucy you and happy need to run don't worry about me just keep running and don't look back!"
"no way." Lucy spoke determination in her voice Kain Hikaru slammed his foot into her back making her scream "I won't run away I would rather stay here with you I can't think of anything that will make me happier."
"I guess that is one way of saying good bye." He said lifting Lucy by her head as he began to squeeze Natsu struggle to get out from underneath the boulders
"happy max speed!" Natsu shout happy seemed to know what he meant Happy flew at Lucy getting her out of Kain Hikaru grasp and when Lucy was far enough away Natsu hit him with a full powered dragon breath attack ending the fight. And also freeing himself. When Lucy came back she told Natsu what grimoire heart was planning.
"why do the bad guy always what to rule the world" he sighed sitting on this large tree root his eyes went dark "I have to pay them back for what they did to gramps." Natsu looked like he was sitting in a thrown as power seemed to fill the air around him "when I get my hands on those scum bags they are going to wish they never set foot on fairy tail sacred ground." He spoke in a dark low growl which honestly was starting to scare Happy and Lucy.
"they probably came here on a ship what if we go there." Lucy stammered trying to get Natsu to snap out of his scariness "happy can you fly round and see if you can find it."
"I would but I am kind of out of magic power." Happy sighed
"it that case we should go check on gramps and Wendy maybe Lily or Carla can find the ship." Natsu spoke as they sent off.
"Wendy!" Natsu called as they were in rang the group turned to see Natsu, Lucy and happy running up the trail.
"You mad it back!" Wendy said happily
"how is the master doing." Lucy asked looking at the heavily bandaged man.
"it doesn't seem like he has improved but his life doesn't seem to be in danger." Lily stated
"maybe it has something to do with this island being secreted ground." Carla suggested before anyone could respond Mest appeared
"the traitor' returned?" Lily stated
"Mest?" Wendy spoke
"to be honest my name is Doren bolt." He spoke plainly
"I don't care what you name is what are you doing here?" Natsu asked darkly thinking there might be another fight
"I am here on a rescue mission of sorts… I can use my magic to transport you all somewhere safe but I need to know where everyone is to do that." She said giving them a soft smile.
"we don't need your help." Natsu spat Doren bolt eyes widened
"what makes you think we will trust anyone that work with the interest of the magic council." Carla snapped
"this is our problem not your and we are more then capable of taking care of it my ourselves." Lily stated.
"listen to me I guarantee once the council finds out what it going on here they will do whatever it takes to neutralize the threat." He shouted trying to convince them to go with him.
"that means they will blast us with etherion again!" Happy screamed
"what is this etherion?" Lily asked for happy to explain the thing about the tower of heaven.
"if that goes off when we are on the island…" Wendy started but didn't what to finish it
"then we are just going to have to finish business before that happens." Natsu spoke calmly
"your master has been defeated and grimoire heart has incredibly powerful wizards on their side there is no way you can beat them!" Doren bolt insisted
"oh yeah so we should just blow up the whole island." Natsu asked sarcastically
"we can't do that our guild see this island sacred ground our first master is buried here. We have to protect it" Wendy cried
"that is not the only reason why our guild sees this island as sacred ground." Natsu spoke all looking at Natsu with curiosity and confusion. "the council was right to try and figure out our guild secrets here…" Natsu paused closing his eyes then opened them again but this time they were glaring darker at the council spy. "take this message to the council." Natsu voice turned dark "if you don't back off you will feel the wrath of fairy tail and it might not be from us if you fire the etherion but our gild will take revenge."
"are you threating the magic council?" Doren bolt asked "you lowly wizards?"
"you got a lot to learn man whether it is grimoire heart or the magic council Fairy tail doesn't back down and we can be a lot scarier than both of you combined. If you attack us it will be you last mistake." He growled
Time skip
In this time of chaos three major battles are underway Gildarts fight blue note singer which was taking a while since they were pretty much evenly matched. Freed and Bixslow against Rustyrose at base camp and Erza against Azuma.
Azuma had just destroyed the Tenrou tree ever fairy tail member felt weak as their power seamed to disappear
"what's happing I just lost all my straight?" Lucy asked as she tried to get up.
"my legs quit working." Wendy cried
'no, the power in the Tenrou tree we have been cut off from our guilds magic!' Natsu thought as his keens buckled and he crashed into the mud Makarov still on his back.
"We are getting anywhere fast any luck" Lucy panted
"not here my magic power is almost completely gone." Carla gasped
"Natsu can you carry me on your back." Happy asked weakly but he didn't get an answer the group looked over to Natsu and the master both were unconscious and gramps wasn't looking to good.
"Natsu?" they asked
Blue note singer getting the upper hand in his fight against Gildarts. And at base camp Freed and Bixslow fought to stay standing.
"all your magic will rapidly drain from your body's. But I have left yours in tacked." Azuma spoke "all of your friends are at death door so give me the fight I want Titania."
"the entire fate of the guild rest in my hand I have to shed all defense and put all my power in my sword." She spoke softly she rocked to the dark wizard intending to cut him in half but at the last moment he blocked it with a tree she quickly jumped back getting ready to try again to get close to him.
"now you will feel the power of Tenrou!" he shouted as fire stared to come from the earth burning everything it touches the heat was unbearable the flames roared as if they had a life of there own as if it was a monster. Erza screamed as it enveloped her; When the magic faded everything in the surrounding area was ash Azuma was breathing hard as Erza fell to the ground unconscious. "the great Titania falls."
The sound of Jellal's voice brought her back to the land of the living. She slowly got back to her feet breathing hard with the effort.
"what she lives I hit her with all of Tenrou's power." Azuma gasped then cased the same spell again this time Tenrou's power could be seen all over the island everyone could see the brilliant flames of terrifying power the orange and red glow basking everything in its light Natsu body twitched with the mount of power being released because Tenrou's power in everyone's in fairy tails power and all of his power with out restrictions the power of the strongest guild and a dragon exploded and in this spell as Erza faced death she could feel everyone in fairy tail all of their power and strength flowing though her keeping her alive.
"Tenrou islands power should be under my control but it is supporting her! This power from the bonds they share what an amazing guild." He spoke as Erza ran him though with her sword. The was then swallowed bay the earth and everyone power was restored. The ones fight getting their second wind in battle and tipping the scales in their favor until they were victorious. Waking up and regaining his strength Natsu group continued their way to base camp where Freed and Bixslow defeated Rustyrose. Lisanna explained what happed tears welling up in her eyes.
"do cry Lisanna I promise we will figure this out." Happy said Natsu just stared at the member of grimoire heart and his wounded friends.
"Natsu?" Lucy asked everyone looked at the look the dragon slayer was giving
"the will all pay…" was Natsu response his fist clenched
"how did they get the upper hand like this?" Bixslow sighed looking at their fallen comrades.
"grimoire heart ship is stationed right off shore line just east of here… I purpose this strategy we spilt our group up into two teams one to go after the ship and the other to protect the injured." Panther lily suggested
"we are still missing some people so I think Panther lily, happy and Carla fly round the island looking for the rest of our friends and bring them here."
After Gray had defeated Ulter they made a plan of attack Natsu, Gray, lucy, Erza, Wendy, Panther lily and happy set off to take down Hades the last opponent form grimoire heart.
"you wish for the same treatment I gave Makarov?" Hades asked to the gathered fairy tail member then he smiled and turned back into his ship.
"happy Carla, lily I have a job for you." Natsu spoke softly the three exceed turned to face the dragon slayer. "I want you guys to find the power source for this ship and destroy it."
"yeah because it would be bad if this ting started moving right Natsu." Happy spoke Wendy caster her troya spell just incase as the mood lightened a little
"well I think we let him wait long enough." Gray said making an ice stair case up to the ship. They didn't waste any time attacking him as a well-oiled machine Natsu road Wendy's breath attack and Scorpio sand blast to boost his speed hitting hades in the stomach sending him flying into the wall.
"I often herd young people refer to their mistake as live experiences." Hades spoke as he walked out of the dust unharmed "but true mistakes do not lead experience as there is no coming back from them such as the chase here your future holds nothing but the grave… apposing me was the biggest mistake of you lives." Hades spoke Lucy and Wendy stepping back in shock.
"oh, come on we poured every thing we had into that attack!" Gray shouted
"now that I am warmed up it is time to get serious." Hades spoke the room began to shack as his power began to rise. "if Makarov is gramps that would make me your great grandfather because I am Fairy tails Second master." He spoke stroking his beard all of their eyes wide in shock at this new development. "of course, my name was Precht back then I was the one that appointed Makarov as the third master."
"you expect us to believe that!" Natsu shouted as he charges hades who shot Natsu with a dark energy beam he began laughing as he shot the rest of them "
"Do fairies have tails? Do fairies even exist? I believe that is how the guilds name came about." Hades spoke and stomping on Natsu head keeping him down "Mavis pasted the mantel on to me and I in true past it on to Makarov which was one of my biggest mistakes he changed the guild he brought magic into the light."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Natsu asked lifting his head a little to look at Hades. "that is how fairy tail does things you got a problem with it we are not rotten heartless people like you and your guild." Natsu spat "if sitting in the dark s what you want then you don't have the courage to change a thing!"
"such disrespect." Hades hisses as he began shooting magic beams at Natsu who could do nothing but scream as he was still held down by Master Hades.
"Natsu" Gray called but he couldn't move.
"if you are angry you should be angry at Makarov because he is the reason you are about to leave this world in utter agony." He spat
"leave him alone!" Erza screamed
"don't kill him please!" Lucy screamed just then the entire ship was glowing in a yellow light when it vanished Laxus was standing between Natsu and the master of grimoire heart
"so, this is the fossil that took out gramps." Laxus asked as lighting surrounded his body. their fight didn't last very long as he took some damage from the same spell Makarov did and as Master Hades sent the finishing blow.
"I am not a member of fairy tail anymore but this jerk took out my grandpa I am aloud to take revenge right?" he weakly asked
"of course, you are!" Natsu shouted and everyone else was shouted for Laxus to get out of the way before the spell hits him. Then there was an explosion of light as Laxus transferred all of his remaining power to Natsu just as the spell hit him.
Natsu stood up Lighting surrounding his body as Laxus fell into unconsciousness.
"now that I have eaten you will pay for what you have done." Natsu growled added his own fire to the mix.
"I don't think I have ever seen him like this before." Gray spoke feeling Natsu's overwhelming power
"it is just like the time he ate a shard of etherion." Erza gasped it scared her then and it scared her now. Natsu roared and rocket so fast Hades couldn't dodge or block Natsu's punch to the face then kicked him sending him to the wall where Natsu attacked with Lightning making Hades scream
"this is what happens when anyone messes with fairy tail!" Natsu shouted not letting up in his attacks not letting Hades get his baring to attack back. "I will make you pay!" he shouted then finally hades could breath for a second and bound Natsu hands
"try hitting me with your hands tied!" Hades shouted and Natsu pulled his hand apart like it was nothing, Hades eyes widened then Natsu hit him with a lightning flame dragon roar so large it blows his friends away, blow part the ship and everyone on the island could see it streak a crossed the sky.
"that can't be good." Bixlow spoke from Base camp even they could feel the power from the attack
"it Natsu." Freed stated as the spell roared by shaking the ground as it went. When the spell ended Natsu was breathing hard and Gray Lucy and Wendy eyes were wide and their mouths open at such a powerful display where Erza just smiled glad they had won. Natsu fell back and was caught by Lucy before he could fall.
"that last attack really took it out of me." Natsu whispered weakly the sun started to rise no Tenrou island and their Emblems glowed as the Tenrou tree was restored. The battle was over. But little did they know something more dangerous than grimoire heart was approaching.
