Stay strong, Fletcher… I thought to myself as I slowly walked down the steps. My stomach was starting to roll from the nerves- or the baby. Or both.

Andy was standing in the living room, his face etched with exhaustion as he glanced up at me. I stopped at the landing, almost afraid to come any closer.

"Hi," He greeted in a timid tone.

"Hey," I replied, finally deciding to sit on the couch. He did the same, though not as close as he normally would have. "I missed you." I said after a few moments of awkward silence.

Andy let out a breath and closed the gap between us, pulling me close to his body. My eyes burned from the tears threatening to spill over. "I'm so sorry for last night." I mumbled into his chest.

"So am I, sweetheart." He breathed into my hair before planting a kiss there.

I took a deep breath before talking first, "You were right last night, Andy. I can teach anywhere. You can only work at Cornell in one place." "Kate that was terrible of me to say. It wasn't fair of me to compare our careers."

I pulled back so that I could look him in the eyes to show him I was serious. "But it's the option that makes the most sense."

Andy shook his head, "I've already taken care of it."

My brows furrowed, "What are you talking about?" "Dwight and I talked last night, and he offered me a position at Dunder Mifflin."

My heart started to sink, "Doing what?"

"Quality Assurance."

I shook my head vehemently, "Absolutely not!" He rolled his eyes at my reaction, "Kate– " "Andy, no! You hated being there and managed yourself into a breakdown so bad you crapped on the CEO's car! You have been the happiest in Ithaca and nothing should change that."

He put his hands on my face, "You and our baby are worth more than anything else in the world to me. More than Cornell and working in the office."

A tear escaped faster than I could catch it, "But it's your dream to work there."

He gave me a half smile, wiping the tear away with his thumb, "You've always been the dream, Kate. And now it's becoming even better." He moved his hands down and touched my stomach, even though I wasn't showing.

"I don't want you to resent us down the road when you're miserable being back there." I confessed. "I would never do that to you." "You don't know how you're going to feel months or years from now." He let out a breath through his nose, showing his frustration.

"It'll be different this time around, Kate. I know that Dwight does a great job managing, there's new people there- and I won't be in sales."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked.

"Yes, I would do anything for you." He said sincerely, smiling his shy Andy smile.

I bit my lip as the tears flowed freely, and I jumped into his arms sobbing. "I don't deserve you. I was ready to move for you and you make this huge sacrifice for me!" I was becoming a blubbering mess, freaking hormones.

"That's what the man of a family does for the ones he loves." He murmured into my ear, causing shivers to run through my body.

"I love you, Andy." I whispered, hugging him as close to me as possible. "We love you."

"I love hearing you say that, sweetheart." He kissed that place on my neck that drives me crazy. "Take me upstairs to our bed?" I asked softly, grinning.

"Our bed. That sounds wonderful." He picked me up and surprisingly carried me all the way up the stairs to the bedroom.

Our bedroom.
