I flew Clark's body to the bat cave; where Bruce/Alfred were. They were speechless. Hell I still was. I laid out the decedent man of steel on the med table. Bruce looked at the single wound that had taken down the most powerful man on earth in the ultimate hit/run attack. "Cheetah." "Yeah." Bruce rubbed at his forehead and walked away. Alfred cleared his throat. "Princess...does Miss Lane know yet?" "No; I couldn't bear to tell her yet." Bruce turned back in our direction. "This is just the beginning." I could only nod. I looked at Clark and put a hand on his shoulder. "This is why I wanted you all to stay out of it." "Yes princess...we can clearly see that now."

Bruce looked around the bat cave. "They could also strike here at any time." "Yes. Brother knows who you are. Those things mean nothing to him unless he wants them to mean something." "Will they princess?" I could only give a head shake. "I'm not sure." Bruce/Alfred shared a look. Bruce then walked over to me. "I can't guarantee the league or other superhuman beings will stay out of it." "Look at what they did to Clark. How many can truly resist this power level?" "Princess Diana makes a very good point sir." "Is there anything else that we can do?" Bruce said; I could hear the acquiescence in his voice; Alfie had reached him. I faced Bruce. "Just be ready to help out wherever needed - in a support role. Brother will constantly change his tactics to achieve his goals - and putting Lex into the white house still seems top among them. That's the only thing we can go with for now." I looked at Clark's body. "Please tell Lois for me." "I will do it personally princess."

Alfred walked off to do just that. Bruce looked down at Clark with me. "I think I understand you better now." "Really?" He nodded. "Fighting Joker and my rogues is one thing...but this is something else entirely." I sighed. "It's not the part of my life that I want others to be exposed to; but it's there all the same." He put a hand on my shoulder. "For what it's worth I'm still here for you." I put my hand on his. "I know Bruce. Thanks."

I then put a hand on Clark's forehead and said a quiet prayer for his soul. I could be burying a lot more people in the days ahead - friends and strangers. Brother loved body piles to say the least.

I could sense the world balance tipping; brother on one side and me on the other; our tug of war with everything/everyone else caught in the middle. People never realized the true scope of this until tragedy/calamity occurred.

The wonder plane sent a mental alert - Superman's death had reached the global news outlets; terror and division were on the sharp rise; black mobs were rising up in LA Gotham and NYC; all in addition to Chicago. Brother/his agents would no doubt try the same with other nonwhite groups as time went on; they were his martial focus for now.

The bat computer soon alerted Bruce of such. We moved to the main computer console to see the real time results/assessments coming in. "This is getting bad," he said. "Yes; and it will get worse. Gotham definitely needs you now." "Understood. Good luck Diana." I gave a small nod and flew out.
