Twenty Truths Of Moegi Kazamatsuri
I do not own the characters. They belong to Kishimoto.
1) Moegi loves her teammates but she's not in love with either of them. They're her best friends, her brothers, and the idea of seeing them as anything else is just wrong.
2) Moegi is happy with her genin team and she wouldn't trade them for anything, but she knows a lot of questions were asked why the tradition of a Sarutobi leading the ino-shika-cho was continued. In fact, she too, wondered when she first got her team. Now she just doesn't care. They're hers and that's all that matters.
3) Moegi has no idea how she attained the wood release. When she was twenty-two, she was on a mission and was just about to be killed when she felt her chakra react and next thing she knew she was surrounded by a wooden dome. Once she figured out what happened she and many others researched her family line to see if there was any connection to the first Hokage. But nothing appeared. She had no familial ties to Hashirama or the Senju and to this day she still hasn't figured out how she got the wood release. Thankfully though, Naruto had Yamato teach her how to use it.
4) Moegi has a lot of respect for Ebisu and holds many great memories with him as her genin sensei. But she also holds a little resentment. He cared for all of them, but he always focused more on Konohamaru. She's not even sure if he realized that he did it, but once Konohamaru got something done he would move on even if Udon and her were still struggling. Konohamaru has told her to talk to him about it, to clear the air, but Moegi loves her sensei and the idea of bringing up something that happened years ago is just not something she wants to do.
5) Moegi knew she was skilled enough to make chunin but she had been unsure if she would ever be skilled enough to be a jonin. After all, she came from a civilian family and had a genin teacher that tended to focus mostly on Konohamaru. And yet people still recommended she try for jonin. She failed her first time, too nervous and too hesitant. But she didn't give up and when she tried again, she made it.
6) Moegi loves her students and to anyone who ask she will tell them she loves them all equally. And this is true. She just happens to like Inojin the most. Shikadai and ChoCho are amazing but Inojin actually listens and does his best at what she's teaching while the other two tend to half-ass it.
7) Out of the members of her team Moegi is the best at handling kunai and senbon.
8) Moegi developed her skills because of Konohamaru and Ebisu. The former was always talking, loudly, about Naruto, while the latter was always telling him to find a better role model and that he needs to act befitting of his title as the grandson of the third Hokage. Also, quite loudly. Between the two of them they were never able to hear anyone approaching so Moegi started learning how to hone her sensory skills so they would stop being taken by surprise.
9) Udon and Moegi both started to learn water release at the same time and spent many hours together prating and perfecting their skill with the chakra nature.
10) Moegi was ranked second in her graduating academy class, behind only Konohamaru.
11) Moegi and Udon had been friends for a year before joining the ninja academy and were ecstatic to be put in the same class. They met Konohamaru the first day and the three quickly became fast friends.
12) Konohamaru had to explain to her what it meant that he was the third Hokage's grandson. She knew who the Hokage was and how important of a position he held but she didn't understand why people cared about his grandson. It wasn't like he was the one running the village so why was he so important?
12) Moegi fully believes Konohamaru has what it takes to become the next Hokage. She just hopes he understands that no matter his title she will always treat him like the brother he is. Especially when it comes to teasing him.
13) As she grows older Moegi grows to love her village even more. She also begins to understand how important it is to listen to your orders and therefore it drives her crazy when her genin team ignores them and does whatever they wish to.
14) Moegi thinks she looks cute in pigtails and is one of few grown women who can pull the look off.
15) Moegi once thought of becoming an academy teacher and even volunteered to help teach a few classes but she quickly realized she didn't have the patience to do it full time. Still, she can handle helping occasionally.
16) Moegi has gotten quite proficient at a lot of skills that shinobi require, but she has never been able to get the hang of genjutsu. Sure, with her sensory skills she's great at detecting it and knows how to dispel it but casting it? Yeah, she sucks at that.
17) Moegi has never been more terrified then she was when Pein attacked the village. Her home was in ruins, people, dying all around her, enemy shinobi were surrounded by giant summons that was crushing everything underneath them, and even the jonin were dropping like flies. What was she, a twelve-year-old gennin, supposed to do? Attacking the enemy would only get her killed so Moegi focused on evacuating the civilians. She may not be able to stop the attack, but she could save as many people as possible.
18) Moegi looked up to Naruto a lot. But just like Konohamaru he could get very loud and very annoying. Still, he was the best boss the three of them could've asked for.
19) Moegi has met a lot of sexist men in her shinobi career and she always gets a kick out of proving that she is no less than them just because she doesn't have something hanging between her legs.
20) Moegi looks up a lot to Sakura. Not only was she a civilian born like Moegi but she also grew to be one of the strongest shinobi in history. And she did it all through hard work, and that's something Moegi has always looked up to.
I really struggled with Moegi. Theres so little information about her and I feel as if Kishimoto was trying to make her like Sakrua in part two which is fine but I tried my best to make Moegi stay her own person with her own traits and beliefs.
