To my readers, I am so so sorry for how long it's taken me to update this one. I honestly didn't think it had been as long as it has.
Chapter 15
…
When Elise and Sean arrived home, Alex and Quinn were sitting in front of the television, neither one of them acknowledging them when they walked in. Sean came and stood in front of them, switching the television off.
"Dad, we were watching that?" Alex wined.
"Well tough, Elise and I need to talk to you."
"What's up dad."
Elsie came to stand beside Sean as his arm found it's way to her waist.
"We found our house." He smiled.
"No way, already…where? She asked.
"San Fernando, close enough to still see you friends, close to your school and university."
"What's it like?" Alex asked.
"It has a beautiful kitchen, which doesn't interest you I know, four bedrooms, a big garden…"
"And a pool." Elise smiled.
"A pool, we have a pool…no way." Quinn gleamed.
"We thought you'd like that one."
"Can we go see it, can we?" Alex asked.
"Tomorrow kiddo, it's been a long day and Elise needs to rest for a bit okay."
"Okay, I'm going to my room."
As Alex left, Quinn got to her feet.
"So when do we move in?"
"Well as soon as we like according to the Realtor."
"Okay this is awesome. Can I pick my room?"
"The big ones yours, don't worry honey."
"You guys are the best." She smiled as she hugged them both. "I gotta go tell Blake."
"Yeah, once again, when are we meeting him."
"How about once we move in, we can have him over for dinner."
"I'm holding you to that Quinn."
"Dad, I promise. See you later."
"Bye sweetie." Elise smiled.
…
Elise was lying on the bed a little while later when Sean came in, lying down beside her, his hand going to the baby, feeling it give a gentle kick under his hand.
"Wow, someone's wide awake." He smiled.
"Mm-mm, just like her mother."
"Sorry, I shouldn't have disturbed you?"
"Don't be silly, I just can't believe how tired I am all the time."
"You're having a baby sweetheart, it takes a lot out of you."
"Not because of my age then."
"No…well, at least the kids are on board with the new house, I was worried for a bit."
"They're good kids, and as soon as you mentioned the pool, well I think we won them both over." She smiled.
"And you? You're really on board with it, I just think it might be a lot of organising so soon before this one arrives?"
"Well it's not as though we're doing it all on our own, we have the kids, Specs and Tucker can help out. We'll be fine, and I promise I won't go overdoing things."
…
Quinn was the first one ready and waiting to leave the next morning, as Sean made breakfast.
"Dad come on, can't we just go. I wanna see the house already?"
"Quinn, we have all day to see the house, breakfast first."
Quinn sighed before sitting down at the table as she waited on her toast. Alex came in shortly after, taking some toast from Quinn's plate.
"Hey, get your own."
"Dad, she's yelling at me."
"The pair of you stop it, and eat your breakfast otherwise nobody will be seeing the house today."
Elsie walked in and over to Sean, smiling at Quinn and Alex as they ate their breakfast.
"Morning you two."
"Morning Elise." They both said in union.
"Morning sweetheart." Sean smiled as she moved in to his arms.
"Good morning, I see their all ready to see the new house."
"Quinn was ready to go before breakfast."
"I'm glad they're happy about this, I was worried at first."
"Yeah I know me too, just as well we have easy going kids."
"I hope this one is just as good."
"I'm sure she will be. You sure you're up to this today, I can always take them myself if you prefer."
"No, really I'm fine. I want to see it again."
"Just think, a few weeks and it will be ours."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Sean smiled, leaning down to kiss her.
…
When they arrived at the house, they showed the kids the kitchen and downstairs first before taking them both up to show them their rooms, Quinn stood in the middle of the bedroom, looking around.
"You like your room then." Elise smiled.
"It's so big, I love it. Are you sure it's okay for me to have it though, surely you and dad will want it."
"Oh honey, you'll no doubt spend more time in your room than your father and I, and any way, a young girl needs her space."
Quinn hugged Elise, before Sean came in.
"She likes it then?"
"Dad, I love it, the whole house."
"What about Alex, does he like his room?" Elise asked.
"Oh he's happy enough."
"So when can we move in?" Quinn asked.
"I'll phone the Realtor when we get home and get things arranged."
"I can't wait, this is gonna be fun." Quinn smiled.
Elsie and Sean seeing how happy their family was.
