Chapter 15: Consequences
Somewhere in Sunnydale Wesley dials the phone in his comfortable but modest hotel room. "Yes, hello. I need Mr. Travers, Quentin Travers... Wesley Wyndam Pryce calling. The code word? Monkey... M-O-N-K- Just put him on, would you? This is an emergency."
"Yes?" came Travers voice over the phone.
"I know the secret identity of Princess Diana," Wesley answered. "It's Buffy Summers twin sister, Dawn Summers."

At the Summers house Faith sat in the living room watching TV until she heard footsteps come down the stairs. She looked over and saw Dawn. "Hey Little D," she said.
"Hey," Dawn returned. "Like some company?"
"Sure," Faith answered.
"You thought about what I said?" Dawn wondered as she sat down.
Faith nodded. "I have," she said. "And my question for you, is do you have feelings for me?"
Dawn smiled; she knew Faith would figure it out. "And if I do?"
Faith smiled and leaned over and kissed Dawn.
"Ahem."
Dawn and Faith looked up and saw Joyce walking into the living room carrying a bowl of popcorn. "Something you want to tell me, Dawn?" Joyce asked.

Later that night Dawn was in her Wonder Girl costume doing an aerial reconnaissance of Sunnydale looking for any vampire activity. She spotted a vampire attacking a woman and flew down and landed between the woman and the vampire.
Dawn quickly realized it was a setup as the man was not a vampire at all but Wesley. She was about to lift off when the woman and a man she had had not seen grabbed her from behind. The woman grabbed her lasso and used it to tie her up.
"By the order of the Watcher's Council of Britain … I am exercising my authority and removing you to England..." Wesley said as he walked behind Dawn and removed her bracelets. He then produced a pair of handcuffs and roughly binds her wrists. The woman removes the lasso as the man picks her up and carries her fireman style. When they got to a truck Wesley took off her boots. "Can't have you trying to fly away or break out of the handcuffs now can we now can we, Ms. Summers."
As Dawn is loaded into the van she is chained to a metal bracket embedded in the low wooden bench they place her on. Across from her sit Wesley and the woman.
"I'm sorry for the extreme measures," Wesley said. "Unfortunately, this is a rather extreme circumstance."
"You understand once Themyscira finds out this will be considered an act of war," Dawn said.
"Yes, we figured as much," Wesley said. "But we do have a bargaining chip. You!"

"Has anyone seen Dawn?" Buffy asked as he came down the stairs of her home."
"Not for a few hours," Joyce said. "She said she was going to make an aerial sweep of town." She turned and looked at the clock and began to frown. "She should have been back by now. She told me she would only stay out till ten." It was already going on eleven o'clock.
Buffy turned and walked into the kitchen and to the phone. She dialed. "Giles," she said when she heard Giles answer on the other end. "Dawn is missing."
The next morning Buffy, Faith, Willow, Xander, Giles and Joyce stood in the library of Sunnydale High. They had all searched for Dawn after Buffy's call and had come up with nothing. This was when they noticed they were missing another person, Wesley.
"Anyone seen Wes?" Faith asked. Everyone said they hadn't seen him since the day before. That was when they started putting two and two together.
"I knew she should never have told him that she was Wonder Girl," Giles said. "He must have called Travers and together they orchestrated capturing her."
"How do we get her back?" Buffy asked.
"That's simple," Wesley said as he entered the library. "Buffy and Faith renounce Themyscira and return to working with the Watcher's Council."
"And if they don't?" Joyce asked.
"You will never see your daughter again," Wesley answered.
"How valuable are you to the Watcher's Council?" Buffy asked as she glared at Wesley. "Enough for a trade?"
"And what will you do?" Wesley asked.
"They nothing," Giles said. "Myself, I am sure the Council informed you on my background."
Wesley gulped. The Watcher's Council had informed him on Ripper. Giles, he knew was not a man he really wanted to cross. "I was only following orders," he pleaded.
"I am sure," Joyce said. "Where is my daughter."
"On her way to England," Wesley said. "They should be in the air right now. They will stop in Los Angeles to refuel before making the cross-country flight."
"You can get them to come back to Sunnydale," Giles said. "Tell them we reached an agreement."
Wesley being the coward he was nodded as he walked into Giles office and picked up the phone and dialed. "This is Wesley Wyndam Pryce, an agreement has been reached. Return to Sunnydale and return Ms. Summers items to her."

Two hours later Dawn walked into the library. She looked at Wesley and glared. "The Council and you knew what would happen if you did not do as I said. Pack your bags and leave. Giles is the only one who will remain. Any other watcher sets foot in Sunnydale will be forcibly put back on the plane and sent back to England. Is that understood?"
"Yes," Wesley said as he turned and walked out of the library.
"Good going, Dawn," Faith said as she smiled. She walked over to the young woman and just as she had down the day before, she kissed Dawn.
