Love Changes Everything-Part 17:

The next morning arrived and Lucius was asleep with Narcissa secure in his arms, her head in his chest and their legs were tangled together. She was also so sound asleep that she hadn't heard the Floo downstairs spring to life and the sounds of footsteps coming up the stairs and drawing closer to the bedroom, the door opening and Abraxas Malfoy stood there in the doorway.

The elder Malfoy strode over to the bed and was about to wake his son to see what had happened and why they were naked in bed when he looked and realized that they must have been wearing their shorts still as their normal attire was laid neatly in an area of the room.

Abraxas watched as Lucius stirred and turned his head slightly to face his father.

"Father…?" he asked as he moved Narcissa gently in order not to disturb her, "What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Came to track you down. Your mother was worrying that you weren't here and then I reminded her of the very same test that she took and that it happened here. Did Narcissa…?"

"A bit reluctant at first but she crushed the batch with me," Lucius said as he sat up, "We'll head downstairs and leave her to sleep," he said rising off the bed gently and making sure his fiancée was settled again before leaving the room with his father and heading downstairs.

Soon the two were sat downstairs with coffees as they looked out over the vineyards.

"Cissa loves it here," Lucius said, "wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't call this one of our holiday homes," he chuckled, "did the Minister understand why I left suddenly?"

"Don't worry about that. I explained and he understood considering the wedding is this month," Abraxas said.

"I need to cut back on my Ministry work for a few weeks. Cissa has to come first Father. This doubt began to surface because of me and I cannot let that happen again. Whether you believe us or not we are in love," Lucius said.

"I know. Enough to be sleeping together already and Narcissa on the potion," Abraxas said causing Lucius to choke on his coffee. The senior just smirked, "your mother and I do talk Lucius," he said, "I've known for about a month now that you two have been together but Merlin knows what will happen if Druella Black finds out."

"She won't and Cissa will be on the potion until we are ready for a baby, not when we are told," Lucius said, "I know that isn't what anyone wants but we want to get the Manor sorted and everything first. Then we will think about children. We are both still so young. Time is on our side."

Abraxas was stunned but not totally surprised at his son's response. He knew that he was mature on the account that he and Cissa had agreed for her to go on the potion to avoid any scandal that could have happened before the wedding and he couldn't help but admire the young couple for their maturity. So maybe sleeping together without protection hadn't been their best idea but they sorted it pretty quickly.

"I don't give you enough credit sometimes Lucius," Abraxas said as he sipped his coffee and looked at his son, "you two have handled this whole thing with such maturity…"

"Handled what?" came a voice that wiped any smile from Lucius' face. Narcissa was clearly awake and had come looking for Lucius, "good morning Abraxas," she said before sitting down and looking at the men, "so what does your dear father know Lucius?"

"That you're on the potion and we're sleeping together," Lucius said, deciding to get it over and done with rather than lying to her.

"What?!" came the explosion Lucius had been expecting before she realized that they were serious.

"Priscilla and I do communicate Narcissa. I am now also on your potion form in case Priscilla is unavailable to sort it out," Abraxas explained, "rest assured your mother will not be finding out at all. That is the last thing anyone needs."

"Knowing my mother she'll say I'm under some sort of spell," she said swiping a bit of toast from Lucius' plate before he could protest and Abraxas just smirked.

"So I hear someone passed the test. That's such a relief," Abraxas said as the trio ate a light breakfast.

"I still don't understand it if I'm being honest," Narcissa said as she popped a strawberry into her mouth.

"It shows that you are willing to get dirty and help with things instead of just sitting back and looking beautiful or like a trophy wife, just seen in fancy clothes on your husband's arm," Abraxas explained, "basically you aren't afraid to get involved."

Narcissa looked and nodded as she thought about what Abraxas had said before she nodded softly.

"Now I understand. Thank you for explaining. Not sure how my mother would see it though." She said as she sipped on her juice, "what were you doing here anyway?"

"Priscilla was worried that she hadn't heard from you so she sent me to see if you were here or not," Abraxas said, "there are numerous properties across the South of France that we have and then she mentioned the same doubts that she'd had and I knew exactly where you were so I headed here," he explained before silence fell once more on the room and the three continued to eat their breakfasts before Narcissa excused herself to go and get ready to go back to Malfoy Manor.

"She will be OK won't she father?" Lucius asked once his fiancée was out of earshot.

"Yes she will be. She's a Black but is being influenced now by your mother. They are similar… Narcissa and your mother. They really are and in time you will see just how much.

Eventually Lucius hurried off to get changed and then the three apparated back to Malfoy Manor, much to the relief of everyone. The wedding was still on and hopes were that it would remain that way.
