Chapter 15: Taking Action

Beach

Sitting underneath a shelter on the beach, Sasuke watched as the sun rose.

'Hmph.' He grunted as he stood up. He had a frown on his face.

'Damned Subaru…' He was upset that he got bested by a weakling. Putting it aside for now, he walked over to the ocean. After a few seconds, he took a deep breath before diving into the ocean.

He swam deep down and kept his eyes peeled for a odd-looking rock. Once he identified the rock, he swam towards it and pressed on it. This led to the opening of the cavern walls.

He walked through the entrance and as he did so, the water didn't follow. It seemed that there was an invisible barrier that blocked off the water and extracted the oxygen from the water.

He walked through a rather plain looking tunnel and at the end of the tunnel, a vertical cylinder of stories was seen.

The top floor, which was the floor Sasuke was on, inhibited many cylinders. Inside the cylinders was extra Akatsuki cloaks. This is due to the fact that many times in battle, the Akatsuki cloaks got horrendously ripped apart.

The middle floor consists of many computers. Big and small, old and new. That was the place they had their meetings now. However, rather than a way to meet with one another, it was a way for them to contact the Winged Ones.

Finally, the bottom floor housed a training area. As the name implies, it was used for training. Currently, there was a figure standing there.

Sasuke jumped over the railings and landed on the bottom floor. He then stood up and dusted his cloak before looking at the figure.

The figure was a humanoid robot. It had a body made from adamantite. It wore the Akatsuki cloak and a black hat. It's eyes and mouth were made of glass.

'Tristan Farouk…' Sasuke muttered. The robot began moving as it spoke. When it spoke, it bowed.

'Welcome Sasuke. What brings you here?' Sasuke narrowed his eyes.

'Where's Pain?' He questioned. Tristan shrugged.

'He hasn't came back.' Sasuke clicked his tongue in annoyance as he prepared to leave. However, Tristan placed his hand on his shoulder.

'Now now, why are you leaving so soon?' Sasuke turned around and kicked Tristan. Tristan didn't even flinch however due to the fact that it's a robot.

'Get your hand off.' Sasuke warned with a dangerous glint in his eyes. Tristan began laughing it off.

'Or what?' Sasuke closed his eyes.

'Hiyah!' Sasuke immediately attacked Tristan, only to find out that Tristan had already prepared for his punch by blocking with his hand.

'Tch!' Clicking his tongue, Sasuke began throwing extremely quick punches. However, Tristan was able to either block, deflect, or dodge them all ahead of time.

Angered, Sasuke jumped up and kicked...only to reveal that it was a feint as he flipped his entire body and went for a punch to Tristan's stomach.

However, despite his efforts, it turned out that Tristan had not bothered with blocking the kick and rather prepared for his punch the whole time.

Sasuke back-flipped away and landed. He was shocked. He had never seen anyone capable of blocking before his opponent even attacked.

'(Can he read my mind?!)' Sasuke thought furiously.

'Take a guess.' Tristan replied right after Sasuke thought that. Sasuke's eyes widened as he used the Body Flicker Jutsu.

He reappeared beside Tristan and struck with extreme speed wielding his chokutō. However, a green barrier appeared just in time to block his strike.

Tristan then deactivated the barrier and punched with high speed due to the booster on it's left elbow activating. A trail of flames burst out as the Akatsuki cloak got blown off. As the Akatsuki cloak flew off Tristan, it was revealed that Tristan had a white shirt and black pants wore underneath.

Tristan struck with so much impact that Sasuke felt his ribs shatter. However, he powered through the pain and readjusted his position mid-air, allowing for a safe landing.

'Huff...huff…' Sasuke gasped as he activated his Sharingan.

'Increasing your power huh?' Tristan asked in it's monotonous, robotic voice. Sasuke ignored him as he began weaving a series of hand signs.

Tristan readied itself in a stance.

'Chidori!' Sasuke announced as he travelled at extreme speeds, reaching Tristan in a matter of seconds. Suddenly, Tristan's mouth piece began to open, and when it opened completely, a gun barrel appeared.

A white beam suddenly launched and when it touched Sasuke, it immediately encased him in ice. This stopped Sasuke as his Chidori got frozen.

'How…' He muttered. Tristan laughed as it's eye pieces then opened as well, before glowing red. Red lasers soon shot out and melted the ice.

'That was just a training session. Ease up.' Tristan said as Sasuke got freed from the ice. Tristan's legs then released gun barrels and they began shooting out flames, which served to propel Tristan into the air.

Tristan flew to the top floor and landed. He quickly opened one of the cylinders and grabbed a new Akatsuki cloak before wearing it. It then walked out of the new Akatsuki base. Before it left however, he said something.

'Anyway, Pain said to prepare for his next orders. Get really to take action.' It said before leaving.

Sasuke fell to his knees. He clenched his hands in anger.

'(How...first to someone useless...now to a damned robot?!)' He thought angrily.

Hideout

Nepgear and Neptune had calmed down after Blanc scolded some sense into them. After that, they had their due introductions and discussed a few plans.

'So Noire, Uni, and Vert will go on and search for Kurisu and Mayuri?' Okabe asked. He was no longer in a white lab coat. Rather, he was currently wearing a gray buttoned up shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. His hair was messy and untidied.

'Yeah.' Noire responded. She had her twin tails undone, revealing her long, silky black hair. The three then quickly left the Hideout.

'Well...that was something…' Subaru muttered. He didn't expect the three to leave so quickly despite them having only recently returned.

'Well, we kinda have no choice. Our situations aren't the most ideal. We try to cycle who leaves but we can really only cycle that much since not all of us here has superpowers.' Okabe explained.

Neptune suddenly appeared in front of Okabe and nodded before heading to the kitchen, presumably for some pudding.

Blanc came out from the room Nepgear was currently resting in as after the lecture, Nepgear revealed that her head hurt. Blanc was wearing a white sleeveless one piece dress, elbow length gloves with brown fur on it's ends and white shoes. She had a cute hat on top of her light brown hair. Her silver eyes glowed in the dim environment.

Ruby noticed this and stood up to approach Blanc.

'Blanc. So um...your eyes...would they happen to have any special powers?' She directly asked. Blanc had a confused expression and shook her head. Ruby then cupped her chin and nodded at the response.

Meanwhile, Okabe grabbed a seat in front of a computer and searched for his other friends using the hacked cameras located throughout the world.

Rom and Ram was currently playing around with Rem as Rem thought that the twins were rather cute. Kazuma rested with Megumin while Darkness and Aqua were huddled together with Yang and Weiss.

'Huh...seems like everyone is adapting to this situation quite well…' Subaru muttered to himself.

'Well, they can't possibly be moping around all day!' Subaru turned to see who replied and saw Neptune sitting beside him on the couch, hands holding a dozen of pudding and spoons.

'Neptune?'

'Ay! It's a-me, Neptune, the protag of protags!' Neptune answered with her usual vigour.

They began chatting and laughing. Subaru was mainly laughing at how meta Neptune was. Neptune basically littered her words with references and such.

Nepgear's Room

Nepgear rolled about on the bed, clutching her head.

'Damn it...do they ever shut up!' She muttered. Nepgear was feeling really irritated. For some reason, the people in the Hideout thought her to be that short ass brat's little sister.

Then, a brown haired flat bitch came in and yelled at her. She would have beaten the shit out of her but just when she was about to move, she felt unexplained fear well up in her.

Then, her head started aching.

'Argh...I wonder how long I have to go through all this…' Nepgear groaned as she tried to close her eyes and get some sleep amongst the noise.
