Chapter Seventeen:
Brick called his brothers to help with the search.
All over Tucson, the Rowdy Ruff Boys and the Power Puff Girls searched for the van that took Johnny and Bonnie away.
About a few hours later, Butch and Buttercup found the van. It was parked near the entrance of the railway.
Brick ran over to the van and pulled the back doors off.
No one was inside.
Brick glared in frustration. His eyes glowed red orange.
Using his super vision, Brick scanned everything in his path high and low. His eyes set to an underground passage.
Brick heard a few people talking. He gritted his teeth. Brick jumped through the entrance and flew towards the sound of talking.
It smelled like sewage waste. Bubbles got a whiff of the smell and wanted to vomit.
"Come on, Bubbles," Blossom told her. She flew in and followed Brick.
Brick slowed down as he heard the voices getting louder. He stopped. There was nothing in sight. Brick used his super vision again and saw a secret door, along with four people inside- 2 adults and 2 kids tied up.
Brick punched the door open. He saw Johnny and Bonnie.
The Rowdy Ruff Boys and Power Puff Girls entered.
"You!" Blossom looked at the woman. She remembered her from the plane.
"Hello Blossom," the woman smiled. She turned to Brick. "Brick."
"Who are you?" Brick asked. "Why do you want my kids?"
"Our names shouldn't matter," the guy told them. "They are the bait."
"What are you talking about?" Brick made a fist.
The guy walked backward as Brick walked toward him.
There was an "X" marked on the floor. Brick stopped on the "X", without notice.
The guy pulled the lever and a giant barrier appeared, trapped Brick and shocked him. "For you."
Blossom, her sisters, and Rowdy Ruff Boys tried to free Brick but were stunned once they hit the barrier.
Brick looked around the room. There were cameras, and a few articles on Brick's disappearance from the villain life years ago. He then saw an article of Krystal.
The woman noticed. She took it off the wall and waved it in Brick's view. "Looking at this aren't you?"
Brick glared at her.
"She was so beautiful, but she had to go," the woman smirked. "We wouldn't be here if she was still alive."
Flames appeared around Brick's body. "You killed her?"
"We hired people to kill her," the guy smirked. "It was beautiful."
"Fuck you," Brick told them. The flames grew bigger and bigger. The ground started to shake and crumble.
Blossom woke up and felt the ground shake. She flew to Johnny and Bonnie and shielded them for what was about to happen.
Brick yelled and unleashed his powers all through the underground passage.
Moments later, the Power Puff Girls and the Rowdy Ruff Boys got out of the broken pieces of cement that fell on them. They found Blossom and the kids safe and ok.
Blossom freed Johnny and Bonnie. They shook in fear as they hugged Blossom tightly.
Brick was out on the ground. Blossom went over and helped him up. "Are you ok, Brick?"
Brick shooked off the dust, and saw that Johnny and Bonnie were ok. "I am now." He looked around and found a few sparks coming out of more piles of broken cement.
Brick pulled off the broken cement blocks and found the two agents, who happened to be robots all smashed up with their voice boxes broken and repeating themselves.
"Wouldn't be here if she was still alive... still alive..."
"We hired people to kill her... hired people..."
"They're robots," Butch said.
"Yeah, but who built them?" Bubbles asked.
"They don't look like Mojo's, that's for sure," Buttercup added.
Brick crouched down and looked at the wires. His eyes glared red orange. "Whoever built them is going to pay. Just try and take my kids again. I dare them."
They all left the room and went back to the surface.
As Brick and the others walked out, a small red light on the corner of the lenses from the agents' glasses turned on.
They were being watched.
In a dark room full of television sets and gadgets, two pink eyes watched everything.
"You brought this on yourself, Brick. You'll be back on our side. You are a villain and nothing will change that..."
