Blinding White (White)
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight. I only own my plotline and my OCs.
Mia can't put it off any longer.
She had already eaten and done her nightly routines. Any whimsical ways of procrastinating pop out of her mind making her sigh.
Mia pulled her hands away from her freshly braided hair and pulled out the laptop from her table's drawer. Whilst changing into her comfiest pajamas, Mia turned on the computer. Her bed looked far more comforting than the desk in the dreary wintery night. But with a lingering look at the bed, Mia just donned on another jacket, unlocked her window because she was only half-kidding about letting her lovers slip into her bedroom at night and then took a seat.
The metallic handles on the chair made her shiver terribly when her ankle accidentally touched it. Her crossed legs rested carefully on the swivel chair. The light from the computer washed over her body as it slowly powered up. She leaned forward and opened up the search engine.
I'm really doing this!
Her fingers come to a pause just millimeters above the keyboard as a thought popped into her mind. What was she going to search up?
Mia let out a groan and tipped her head backward. The chair lets out a little 'Kree' sound but it doesn't topple back.
I'm so bad at beginning stuff! Jake would know what to do.
He'd always be ready to help her out in any issue. Mia rolled her eyes at the thought then. Jake was helpful but he became a real jackass these days…
Mia suddenly straightened her body up and rushed over the keyboard. Carefully, she typed in the word 'Vampire'.
When the typical movie stuff popped up, she went back to the search bar and added two new words.
'Vampire – Quileute myths'.
But like she had thought, there were no websites that had any information freely available. Mia scrolled down a website mindlessly. To get more information, she'd have to sign up for the website and provide a credit card number. She moved the cursor to the top corner of the page, ready to exit the site if she couldn't find anything. But she came to a stop when she noticed a phone number and book store address in a pop-up from the site.
If I can't get the legends online, I'll just buy the book of legends!
The darkness of the room reminded her of the time. She shook from the cold before deciding to call quits for the time being. Only until the morning. That would be when she's call up the bookstore and attempt to get the book she prayed they had in their stock.
A wave of sleepiness came over her when she pushed down the top of the laptop down. Yawning widely, she stretched her arms. Her shirt slightly lifted when her arms crossed each other over her head.
Tears of exhaustion popped up in her eyes. Letting another yawn rip through her mouth, she slipped out of her jacket and lifted the comforter on her bed to slide in.
She closed her eyes and attempted to bury herself deeper into the pillow she was cuddled up.
Mia was nearly fast asleep when she heard the sound of her window being pushed up. Instead of opening her eyes, she just shifted to the side so Jasper could slip in by her. He does not speak up. Instead, he just pulled her into a spooning position.
Pushing back in his embrace, she let out a groan of appreciation when he started to rub circles on her stomach which had been slightly exposed when she shifted forwards.
"Two hours," Jasper murmured against Mia's hair. "Two hours but it took you seconds to piece it together when you put your mind to it."
Smiling sleepily, Mia turned over so she could be closer to him. (It isn't that she wasn't close back when they were spooning, but rather that intimate position kept pushing thoughts of things in her mind she could yet not commit to doing.)
The new position has her buried her head in his chest as they both lie on their sides, "So I'm right?"
"You didn't mention it by name to us."
Mia lifted her head and pulled back. Resting her head on her hand, she dug her elbow into the mattress.
"Do I have to?"
"Edward thinks you need to say it out loud to understand the implications when being with us," Jasper rolled his eyes. He mirrored Mia's pose.
"Yeah, well Edward needs to understand that one of these days, I'm gonna kick his ass," she leaned back so she could lie down again.
Jasper chuckled warmly and loomed over her. His cold hand cupped her face gently. Mia let out a loose sigh when he placed his thumb on her bottom lip. Jasper's hand tightened around her jaw before he let go of his grip.
He caressed her lip with fixated curiosity painted on his face. Mia felt herself go boneless in his hold. His thumb slipped into her mouth and she bit down carefully on it. His golden eyes darkened.
Mia scrutinized him through her narrowed eyes. Jasper smiled wolfishly before leaning down and captured her lips in his.
Smiling against his lips, Mia tried to drown out all the vampire puns that seemed to rush into her head. As though he could read her mind, Jasper pulled away.
"What?"
Mia swallowed the squeal that threatened to escape her throat at his deepened, husky Texan accent.
"So your favorite fruit must be blood oranges, huh," Mia giggled.
Jasper gave her a fond smile, "Here come the over-rated jokes and puns."
But his face split due to the smile he couldn't hold back.
"You mean the hilarious vampire jokes and puns that'll turn you batty?"
Jasper sprung himself at Mia. She let out shrieks of laughter as his cold fingers blurred around her body, tickling at her sensitive spots.
