Voldemort was dead, and the wizarding world was finally at peace.

Of course, peace didn't come immediately. Sirius was now glad that he had eventually changed his mind about being an Auror back in September, because oh boy, did those people have their work cut out for them. Luckily, over the past two decades, the Death Eaters had grown so dependant on their master, that they were in complete chaos without him, but it still took almost a year to round all of them up.

To everyone's surprise, Fudge retired from office, saying that he had had too much excitement already, and his position was taken up by Amelia Bones, who made sure that anyone who was suspected of being a Death Eater got a proper trial, complete with Veritaserum, to ensure that no one could claim being under the Imperius Curse anymore. That put all of the Death Eaters in Azkaban, even Lucius Malfoy, who had actually tried to bribe Amelia, getting himself stripped of his magic for it.

The dementors were declared untrustworthy and removed from Azkaban. They were replaced with human guards, who were no longer so reluctant to go there, seeing as the cold and the depressive atmospere had been caused by the dementors. In fact, Amelia had started a big reform, the goal of which was to make Azkaban a more bearable place to live. By the end of the reform Azkaban was much like any other muggle prison, even if the guards were magical.

Harry asked about the Stone that his parents mentioned and was ecstatic when he found out about a way to speak to his parents. So much, in fact, that he put the ring on his hand and never took it off again, spinning the Stone three times whenever he wanted to talk to his parents.

Harry also asked Sirius about the place where he was born, and eventually convinced him to take him to Godric's Hollow. Sirius stood there for a long time, staring at James and Lily's graves, before smiling sadly and saying that he would meet them soon anyway. Harry was happy that Sirius seemed to have overcome his past. He suspected that using the Stone might have had something to do with it.

Harry and Hermione finished the fifth year curriculum sometime in March and went to take their OWLs at the Ministry around that time. Hermione, of course, got 'O's in every subject, while Harry got 'O's in DADA and Transfiguration, and 'E's in everything else. It seemed that Sirius truly was a fantastic teacher.

Hermione had her baby in late August, a girl that she named Elouise Lillian Potter, to which Harry had no objections, quite liking the name himself. To the surprise of both parents, Elouise had red hair, which Sirus often joked about, and greenish-brown eyes. It later turned out that she inherited Harry's bad eyesight, but Harry and Hermione made sure that she would not get the same treatment that Harry had gotten for it at the Dursleys'.

They later had another girl just before passing their NEWTs. Michelle Rosaline Potter had bushy black hair and Harry's green eyes with a faint smattering of freckles on her nose, and Hermione's thirst for knowledge, as opposed to Elouise, who preferred sports.

After finishing their education, Harry and Hermione teamed up with Sirius to open a counselling business, wanting to help all those that had suffered from the war. The business later got so popular that they had to hire more people and set up a few other premises in different parts of the country. They also invested in Fred and George's joke shop, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, which Ginny also started working at later.

Ron wrote to Harry a few years after the Minstry battle, asking for forgiveness. Harry wrote back to him, saying that he would forgive him, but could probably never forget what he had done. Ron accepted it, and they eventually struck up a tentative friendship, but were never best friends again.

Bill married Fleur about two years after meeting her at Hogwarts, but they stayed at the Burrow until Bill's brothers and sisters graduated, and it was a sad fact that those whom Harry had once envied for their family were now orphans.

Percy didn't return to his family despite being proven wrong, and died of Dragon Pox at the relatively young age of 34.

Sirius never did settle down with anyone, but adopted a muggleborn boy, whose parents died in the Granger battle. Liam Alexander Black grew up in the Potter-Black household and grew to love Elouise, who loved him just as much.

Michelle grew to hate all prejudices, and eventually got a law against discrimination passed that had many purebloods hunting her down for a while, until Harry made it clear that he wasn't scared of going to Azkaban for killing anyone who dared to hurt his daughter. Michelle, encouraged by this, went as far as to marry a muggle, whom she didn't tell about magic until their son's first bout of accidental magic. The muggle, Daniel Smith, took it well, which was rather surprising, considering how long his wife had lied to him for.

Eventually, the day came when Sirius had to die. Harry was heartbroken, and died as well roughly a decade later. Hermione had sat by him as he lay in the hospital bed, holding his hand and muttering comforting words to him. His last words to her were:

"I love you, Hermione Jean Granger."

She passed away as well not a day later, and the healers found her lying on Harry's body, her face streaked with tears. Despite a century having passed since the defeat of Voldemort, the society was so saddened by these news that the whole wizarding world spent three whole months grieving, before finally moving on with their lives, building a seperate memorial for Harry, Hermione and Sirius next to the one in Godric's Hollow.

Eventually, the wizarding world forgot about the story of Harry, Hermione and Sirius, and all that was left were tales and legends. Only Potters and Blacks knew the whole truth, and it was something that was passed down father to son and was guarded heavily and considered the family secret.

And oh, what a secret it was.

A/N: You asked for an epilogue, I gave it to you. I know that it would probably be interesting to hear about the lives of people like Snape and McGonagall, but peaceful aftermaths are not what this story focuses on. Well, now this story is officially finished.

Until we meet again
