Hey everyody, here's the newest chapter. I know it's been a while, and this chapter's quite short. It's just a transition for the next chapter ; Triwizard Tournament !

1993-1994

Harry's second school year went smoothly to his utmost delight. He continued to amaze his teachers with his magical prowess and the the students became more and more admiring as he gained self-confidence, becoming less shy facing his peers. As for his relationship with Alexandre, it evolved somewhat although the two boys were content to cuddle innocently, being very young.

It was on the other side of the English Channel that things got tough, especially for the Potter family. It all started with the spectacular escape of Peter Pettigrew from the magical prison of Azkaban. It was quickly discovered that the prisoner had lost so much weight (previously being plump) that he could easily pass through the bars before taking his Animagus form to leave the place under the guards' noses.

Cornelius Fudge, being a devious politician, quickly accused the Potters (and Sirius Black) of this escape, pointing out that the two (former) friends of the prisoner had not warned as to the Animagus nature of the prisoner, thus giving him the opportunity to escape. For his part, James Potter put forward the incompetence of Cornelius to prevent a simple prisoner without special talents from escaping from a so-called " impervious " prison. The reputation of the Potters being already at half mast following their behaviour at the Bal de Yüle in France, the population mostly sided with the Ministry of Magic in regards to the accusations. It was a real blow to the Potters, with sales of " Boy-Who-Lived " related products falling dramatically and cutting their income in half.

As a precaution, Cornelius Fudge placed a full garrison of Aurors at Hogwarts and sent Dementors across the country in search of the rat. He originally intended to send the dementors at Hogwarts, though, fortunately, Albus Dumbledore reminded him that it was a very bad idea to place soul-sucking creatures around children overflowing with joy. This is how Cornelius gained a strong reputation by proving his skills.

For his part, Albus Dumbledore decided to investigate the possible enchantment placed on James Potter.

* Flashback *

11/11/1993

Headmaster's office, Hogwarts,

Sitting on a seat across an empty desk was James Potter, both intrigued and worried about the situation. It was not uncommon for Albus to call him up to discuss facts about his family, the Order of the Phoenix, or politics in general. But usually Albus was always the one waiting. However, this was not the case today.

Having received a discreet letter from Fawkes three days ago, James was very surprised to read above the seal: Do not open this letter unless you are alone.

Trusting his long-time mentor and having protected his family from the start, he decided to hide the existence of this letter from Lily before locking himself in his office, pretending to reread a possible law on interspecies marriage to vote at the Wizengamot. Knowing Lily's aversion to interspecies and / or homosexual couples, he knew that she would never come to disturb him.

His astonishment was great when he opened the missive. He still remembered what Albus Dumbledore had written.

To the Duke of Gryffindor,

I apologize for my more than secret behaviour and the need to hide this missive from your loved ones, however it is for your security. I understand that you were possibly subject to enchantments which could lead to behavioural problems as well as a modification of your free will.

I ask you to join me in three days in my office at Hogwarts School, all without informing anyone, even your wife.

Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Holder of the Order of Merlin 1 st class.

Understanding the gravity of the situation, James decided to respect the wishes of his mentor, thus explaining his presence in the office of the venerable headmaster on this day. He didn't have time to think about it more deeply than he heard the sound of footsteps reverberating on the ground. Without having to turn his gaze, he understood that it was the expected man.

So in all his splendour, Albus Dumbledore arrived dressed in a red robe studded with dancing yellow stars to take his place behind his desk.

" Hello, James," greeted Dumbledore.

"Professor Dumbledore," replied James, intrigued.

"Lemon sherbet? Offered the old man with a lively air.

"No thanks. Could we do without civilities and get straight to the point ?" James asked impatiently.

Albus nodded slowly before squinting with some concentration. Detailing James Potter, he focused his attention on the glasses perched on his nose. It is indeed the same glasses that he received in third year. Astonishing, when we know that we change our glasses every year, thought the headmaster.

" First of all, can I get a closer look at your glasses ?" He asked.

"Yes, well…. No, I don't think so," James replied before frowning.

"Why then ?" Asked Albus, raising an eyebrow.

"I ... don't know ? Weird ... "James replied, trying to understand why he refused to part with his glasses.

Come to think of it, there was no reason to refuse, so why was he unable to part with his glasses temporarily ?

Taking advantage of James' thinking, Albus quickly summoned the glasses, slightly shocking James, the latter completely lost.

" No !" Cried the latter before throwing himself body and soul on Albus.

Suspecting the possibility of such a reaction, Albus had already planned this reaction by casting a simple glue spell on the chair, forcing the Lord Potter to remain seated. James starting to struggle, and Albus being convinced in the potency of his spell, decided to carefully examine the glasses.

Not feeling any enchantment on the glasses, he looked inside the branches without finding anything. Frowning, he got ready to return the glasses while apologizing before noticing something. Black tips protecting the ends of the branches, surely to make them more comfortable.

Deciding to follow his instinct, he gently removed them and widened his eyes. The part hidden by the end caps was covered with tiny runes, a real work of goldsmith. Having a great knowledge of runes, he had no trouble recognizing runes in Ancient Futhark Naudiz , Nauthis and Opila for Need , Compulsion and Belonging . He finally saw the famous Rune of Love, combining the runes Gabo and Wunjo. Mingled with the runes Naudiz, Nauthis and Opila , the rune of Love became a Rune of amorous enslavement, even of sexual slavery.

Frowning, Albus understood why he had never noticed these runes before. The magic trace was extremely weak, and only a continuous extension could give them an effect on someone. There is only one solution, and that is to destroy the runic object. Without losing a moment, Albus drew his wand before banishing the pair of glasses, under the frightened gaze of James Potter.

Just as the glasses were destroyed, James gave a piercing cry before fainting. It was then that Minerva stormed into the office, having surely heard the din.

" Albus, what is going on here?" She cried before widening her eyes in horror when she saw the slumped body of James Potter.

"I discovered that James was in the grip of a powerful enchantment and released him from it. Being for several years under this spell, I suppose that the liberation greatly tired him, causing his loss of consciousness. Better to warn Poppy, and not a word to Lily or Henry, "replied Dumbledore with a big smile.

"But they are his wife and son ! Why not warn them? " Minerva asked, frowning,

"Because everything proves to me that Lily is the source of this enchantment. Dumbledore replied, losing his smile.

Shocked by her friend's response, Minerva just nodded before levitating James Potter to the infirmary. For his part, Albus began to think about the future repercussions of his action.

* End Flashback *

And the repercussions were not long in coming. James Fleamont Potter filed for divorce while filing a complaint against Lily Evans for " Line thief ." This event was a big hit with the press, and Lily Evans was immediately arrested by the Aurors before being taken before an Extraordinary Wizengamot Council where she was found guilty of one of the most serious crimes in the Magical World. She was thus sentenced to life in Azkaban in the maximum detention area. As for Henry Potter was devastated to learn of his mother's crimes, and even more when he understood that his father was no longer going to pass his every whim.

Quickly realizing that his son had become a real spoiled brat, James Potter did not hesitate to punish him by forbidding him to see his friends, hired tutors to teach his son the label as well as to raise his school level, not forgetting to put his on a diet. It was time he became a worthy heir to the Potter House . However, James understood that he could not re-establish his friendship with the Malfoys and other Houses, not after all that he had done. But nothing prevented him from restoring his House, not to mention that he now had to face the Valois due to the behaviour of his ex-wife. He briefly thought back to his first son, Harry Potter before shaking his head. If the latter had not come to Hogwarts and had not received an invitation, then he was necessarily a Squib, and that James did not want it. Good riddance.

As for this unfortunate petrification problem at Hogwarts, the problem was surprisingly resolved by Gilderoy Lockhart, the professor of Defence against the Dark Arts. In fact, the latter inadvertently found a small black diary in the second floor girls' lavatory during his patrol, after hearing the lamentations of the ghost of Myrtle Elizabeth Warren, also known as Moaning Myrtle. Finding this diary quite bizarre, he decided to take it to Albus Dumbledore who then understood the origin of this diary and the ramifications. It was in a communication call that together they revealed the existence of this diary to the press, and in a purely political gesture, Cornelius Fudge awarded a 2nd class Merlin Order to Gilderoy for " service rendered to the population " . Order which was rescinded a few days later when it was discovered by Albus Dumbledore that Gilderoy Lockhart had seized the exploits of other wizards by launching several Obliviates. Gilderoy was then locked up in Azkaban in a low-security cell for five years, all without Dementors. His one and only request was to have a self-inking Quill and several blank books.

On the other side of the ocean, is a whole different story. The rehabilitation of the Maztec people had started in New Marcius. Nicolas Flamel had decided to attack the basis of Maztec beliefs by simply prohibiting the worship of pagan gods and by establishing several temples dedicated to Mother Magic across the province. Although not widely accepted at first, this new religion quickly became the norm when they realized that Mother Magic required no sacrifice on their part. In order to facilitate the transition, several children from noble French families were sent to this province to marry the local population and thus found younger branches across the province. This allowed the Maztecs to gain power in these countries while integrating with the French population. There were obviously some attempts at rebellion, but they were quickly repressed by the French army .

As for the global geopolitical situation, this changed when the Magical World realized that the Kingdom of France was not as weak as they thought. The first to react were surprisingly the MACUSA which frankly congratulated the Valois family, thanking them for having definitively neutralized this threat at their borders. Conversely, the Russian Empire and the Chinese Empire accused France of wanting to expand through a campaign of conquest. Once again, tensions were created between the West and the East. Only the Empire of Japan supported France, probably due to the fact that it was naturally the enemy of the Empire of China.

02/09/1994

Atlas Academy, Grand-Hall,

Harry was quietly watching these friends around him, quietly sitting next to his soul mate. It was then that he saw Caius arrive with a big smile.

" I did it !" Cried the werewolf.

All the students looked at him, alerted by his cry. The latter blushed before smiling.

" I found who your ancestor was. It took me a year to find it, but hey, it was quite complicated", Caius explained.

"Really ? " Asked Harry with a small smile.

"And who is it ?" Asked Alexander.

"At the beginning, I looked in the historical books concerning the great men of the Ancient World. Whether Pericles, Aristotle or Sophocles. But they had nothing to do with your ancestor. So I fell back on the heroes of mythology, and once again I found nothing" Caius began.

"I see… But if you didn't find anything in the books, how did you find out the identity of my ancestor?" asked Harry.

"In fact, it is by simple coincidence. My parents decided to take me to Greece to visit some Muggle museums, and after the many visits, we decided to go to the Magical Museum of Athens. I then saw a statue of your ancestor among the many statues, and I must admit that it surprised me" finished Caius with a big smile.

"So what ? Who was it ?", Could not help claiming Vartor Boutefeu.

In response, Caius took a photo from his pocket before putting it in front of everyone. Some shouted in surprise when they saw the photo and discovered the identity of Harry's ancestor. It was a statue of Poseidon, God of the sea, oceans and earthquakes, father of Atlas Atlasien.

For his part, Harry groaned in embarrassment. It was not necessary to be a genius to make the link between Poseidon and the Atlasiens. As his friends prepared to bombard him with questions, the Headmaster interrupted them.

" Your attention please! I learned following a press release from the Minister of Magic Delacour that the Beauxbatons school was chosen to participate in the Three Wizards Tournament which will take place at Hogwarts in Scotland. His Majesty, King Louis XIX wishing to reveal the existence of our school to the rest of the World, appointed us to replace the Beauxbatons school and represent the French elite at the Three Wizards Tournament. Students wishing to participate in this event are asked to report to their Head of year in the next two weeks with parental permission. Thank you and I wish you un Bon Appétit! ".

Harry's eyes widened before smiling. He took an authorization pre-written by his father from his pocket before showing it to Alexander. The latter smiled at him before doing the same. Everything was going as planned.
