Hello one and all! Ghosties and I come bearing both good and bad news. Bad news is that due to life moving on and a general lack of inspiration, this story will be coming to a somewhat premature closing here soon. We've both gotten somewhat out of AoT, and like I said life is busy. Good news, however, is that today we will be posting the last two chapters we have fully written out. Me and Ghosties have a lot of little bits of chapters and such written here and there, as well as a bunch of extra headcanons and such that we may publish later on so you guys can see where everything was supposed to end up. We want to thank everyone who has been with us on this long ride-you have all been a constant source of encouragement and we appreciate you all.

Thanks again for joining us on this journey. Enjoy~

-Aria and the Ghosts

"How do we want to do this?"

Levi raised a brow in question, "What do you mean? Just tell them you're pregnant - simple as that."

Eren crossed his arms and huffed in mild annoyance, "No.. I want to put it in simpler terms. They may not know what that means yet."

"They're smart kids, Eren, they'll get it." He always insisted on using technical terms with the two so as to improve their vocabulary and allow them to understand things more readily. It just made more sense than to baby things down and then have to re-explain things later on.

His lover tossed up his hands in exasperation, "Hazel! Cayden! Come here please!" Eren went and sat on the couch, brow furrowed a bit with discomfort. It was still early in his pregnancy, but his feet were already beginning to ache.

Levi followed him over and grabbed up his hand without even thinking.

The twins appeared in the doorway, looking almost hesitant to enter.

"Come on guys, Papa and I want to talk to you about something."

Hazel and Cayden shared a look. "Are we in trouble?" Cayden asked meekly.

Levi smirked absently, "No, you're not in trouble. We just want to tell you something." He paused and sized them up, "Unless you are in trouble, then perhaps we need to talk about two things."

Two nervous gulps was their only response.

Eren rolled his eyes and chuckled, "Ignore your Papa, babies. Come here and let us talk to you."

They hesitated only a moment more before entering and standing before them with matching looks of curiosity.

The shifter bit at his lip, oh gods they're so cute . "W-Well babies…" he trailed off uncertainly and looked to his spouse for help.

Levi sighed, "Cayden, Hazel.. What do you think about having another sibling?"

Those matching teal pools widened to an impossible level.

Cayden suddenly broke into a wide grin, "Aunt Izzy was right!"

"W-Wait, what?" Eren asked in utter confusion. He looked over to his lover when his grip tightened with the statement.

"Cayden…" Levi breathed, "what the hell are you talking about?" He tried desperately to hide the shakiness he felt with such a declaration. He had never even mentioned his fallen family to the twins.. So how..?

The boy cowered a bit under the scrutinous gaze. "Aunt Izzy said Daddy had a baby in his belly… Didn't she Hazey?"

She shrugged in a noncommittal way, "I didn't hear her, Cay."

Eren gaped at them dumbly, feeling at a total loss for words.

Hazel smiled out of nowhere and went up to her Daddy, hugging his stomach lightly, "I'm gonna be a big sissy!"

Levi, meanwhile was struggling to keep himself together. He allowed himself a small smile at Hazel's affectionate display before turning to his son. "Cayden, you don't have an Aunt Izzy. And if you're talking to strangers on the streets, you need to stop because not everyone is nice-"

"But Papa," he was frowning slightly, "her and Uncle Farlan come play all the time!"

Eren winced slightly when the grip on his hand tightened again.

That was the last chink in his armor, the final front breaking down. "Is that so…?" He murmured. His grip loosened from Eren's hand and reached out for Cayden, "Come here, baby boy."

The sudden name usage didn't go unnoticed by his lover, who felt his own emotions swelling at the visible change in his spouse.

Cayden tilted his head in curiosity but accepted the invitation and allowed himself to be enveloped in his Papa's strong arms.

Hazel maneuvered herself onto her Daddy's knee and looked to her Papa in concern. Maybe saying something else would help. "Hey Daddy? Can you do my hair like Aunt Izzy's?"

Beside them, Levi gave a weak scoff. He reached out and brought Hazel into his impromptu bear hug.

The twins were slightly surprised by their Papa's sudden affection, but knew better than to comment on it.

Eren smiled tearfully at the scene and ran a soothing hand down his husband's back.

"Papa?" Cayden finally asked quietly.

He held them close and took a deep breath. "Babies.. Next time you see Aunt Isabel and Uncle Farlan, tell them that I said thank you... and that I miss them."

Cayden smiled warmly and finally hugged Levi back just as tightly, "She misses you too, Papa. They both do."

Levi shook his head slightly in disbelief, planting a kiss on both of their foreheads. "I wish they were here to see you two, to see you grow up and flourish.. I wish they could meet you too." With that, he brought Eren into the group hug. He felt complete in the arms of his family, there was just no feeling to compare it to.

Eren laughed lightly, "I think they have in a way, babe." He leaned in and kissed his cheek affectionately.

Hazel redirected her attention back to her Daddy's belly, frowning slightly. "Hey Daddy? How come I can't see the baby in your belly?"

The raven took another deep breath, one that held only a hint of shakiness to it. He relinquished his grip on the three of them, rebuilding his emotional walls some. "It's still growing, Hazel," he said. "When you and Cayden were in Daddy's belly, you took almost nine whole months before you were ready to be with us out here. It'll be the same with your new sibling. But Daddy's belly will grow before they come out and you'll be able to see them then."

The girl's eyes widened in alarm, "You mean he's gonna be big like a balloon?!"

Eren blinked and looked mildly offended.

Levi chuckled at his expression and smirked. "Not quite, Hazel. His belly will grow though. You know those tiny babies we see at the market sometimes?"

Both twins nodded.

"Well in a few months, Daddy will have one of those in his tummy."

They giggled in response.

"Anyways," Eren broke in, "we just wanted to tell you that you're going to be big siblings. You can go back to playing now, if you want."

"'Kay Daddy," Cayden called, immediately pulling his sister back towards the playroom. "C'mon Hazey! I wanna build a new tower."

With them out of the room, the younger male turned to his lover who let out a small sigh and ran his hand through his hair. "Do you think they were serious?"

Levi shrugged, "I don't see why they would lie. Especially about something I've never even told them about… Besides, those social little shits are probably happy to have someone else to play with."

Eren frowned and grabbed one on his hands, "Are you okay?"

He nodded in an unconvincing manner. "Yeah.. I guess. Just didn't expect that shit this morning."

"Yeah… I know what you mean." The shifter gave a small chuckle, "Next thing we know they'll be telling us they saw Grandma Carla and Granny Kuchel."

Levi gave his spouse a dark look. "Fucking no . No more ghosts in this fucking house - family or not."

He grinned then, "Can't handle it, babe?" He tilted his head, grin morphing into a soft smile. "It's kind of sweet in a way, means Isabel and Farlan kept looking out for you."

The raven looked away, gaze falling to the floor, "After all this time… they've should've just left. I'm not worth their time."

Eren's brow furrowed, "Levi.. you can't think that's true. They loved you. Isabel wouldn't have called you her big brother for no reason." He was shocked when his lover remained silent.

"I suppose," came his noncommittal response at great length.

"You idiot ," he scolded, suddenly feeling angry. "You can't see that you meant the world to them?! They fought at your side, through thick and thin, with purpose. A purpose that you gave them! I know that you mean the world to the both of them, Levi." His lip quivered, the irrational anger leaving him quickly. "I know because you mean the world to me . I wouldn't be alive without you.." Eren trailed off, fighting tears.

Levi blinked in surprise, feeling touched by the other's words. "Don't start crying on me now, shithead," he scolded without any real heat in his tone. "I'm the best there is, happy?"

Those vibrant eyes let loose their crystal tears, "N-No because you don't believe that! You hardly believe yourself worth the time of day.."

A warm hand grasped his chin and a set of lips descended upon his ever so gently.

"Eren, understand that there are things in this world that can make even me waver." Levi's voice was surprisingly soft as he spoke. "..The day I lost Isabel and Farlan is one of my biggest regrets. Anytime friends or comrades are lost, it weighs heavily upon me. There are things I pride myself on doing, but that day will always be a source of shame for me. I let them down when they needed me most."

He listened silently, feeling his heart ache for his husband.

"So.. to think that they still are hanging around, even when I let them down, is hard. I'm not worth their time, even though I can imagine they'd disagree."

"I disagree too, you ass," he mumbled out through tears.

Levi managed a small smirk in response. "I know you do Eren… That's part of the reason I love you; you see light in places where I only see shadows."

Eren nuzzled closer to him. "Everyone makes mistakes, hell that's all I ever seem to make. But that doesn't take away your worth. You won't ever lose your worth from the people who care most about you," were his soft words. "You're my everything, babe. You've given me so much… I don't think I can ever repay you."

He was cut off by his lover's lips on his own, kissing him passionately. He smiled into it and kissed back.

"Call me babe one more time and I'll make you regret it," came Levi's low whisper.

The brunette smirked back at him, "Well I am pregnant so maybe you should hold off on that punishment, hmm babe?" His smirk widened. "What if it's twins again?" Eren pondered.

Levi pulled away with a grunt, "No. One is fine, thank you. I don't think I can handle four shitty brats running around."

Eren laughed, "We'll see about that…"
