A/N: I would like to thank everyone that added this story to their favourites and follows as well as everyone that reviewed the last chapter.
"The first father that Naruto pissed off was mine," Sasuke answered. "And I am reading the next chapter."
Nejire nodded and tossed the book to the boy that looked a lot like her crush, except more sullen. She flickered her eyes from Naruto to Todoroki, raising an eyebrow at the younger boy. It was a curiosity how Todoroki feels about Naruto's friendship with Sasuke.
Naruto had never mentioned how Todoroki felt about her friendship with Sasuke.
"Chapter 12," Sasuke began and the audience seemed to sat up straight. Black eyes flickered to Naruto and pressed his lips into a thin line as he read the next couple of paragraphs. It seems like everyone will know how the Idiot and Hinata became friends.
Winters in Konoha had always been terrible if you asked Naruto. Their country might be called the Land Of Fire but she thinks it should have been called the Land of Snow for how cold the country can get. The cold winds always nipped her even though Naruto made sure to wear a lot of layers like the Hokage suggested.
"It can't be that cold," Bakugou grumbled.
Ino frowned. "It's freezing!"
"Maybe you can't handle the damn cold," Bakugou commented.
Todoroki and Izuku glanced at each other, shaking their head at the older boy. Neither of them felt the need to point out that he hated winters because of what it does to his own Quirk. Naruto curled her lips into a scowl while Hinata just shook her head, not looking amused at those words.
The only good thing about this Winter was that now Naruto had a nice apartment to keep her warm from the icy winter nights.
The television screen showed the forest of Konoha being covered with snow. To the people of Japan, it looked almost like a winter wonderland to them while Naruto shivered, recalling the various winters that she endured. Todoroki rubbed the younger girl's shoulder, wishing he could activate his left side.
Everything on television was boring and Naruto had done all the housework needed for her apartment, so it make sense for her to go out into the forest just close to the outskirts of the village to play. She probably should have done the homework that Iruka-sensei gave them, but Naruto saw no point. The man doesn't actually care if she did her homework or not, so why do it?
"Do you realize how many detentions you could have avoided if you did it?" Iruka scolded her.
Naruto held her hands up. "But how was I supposed to know? It was boring! Beside, detention was more fun since I have Kiba and Shikamaru with me!"
"How can detention be fun?" Aizawa asked, raising his eyebrows at her.
Naruto shrugged. "We chat and they give me some ideas on what types of pranks to play."
"Unintentionally!" Shikamaru declared when everyone swirled their head at him and Kiba. How was he supposed to know Naruto would actually go through some of the jokes that he made? If Naruto hadn't tricked him or blackmailed him then he would never have helped her.
Besides, the answers to the questions were easy and could be done in ten minutes. She would just have to make a double effort to make sure that 55% of the answers were wrong, or else Ami might just try to steal her homework again.
"Did you get 45% of the questions right?" Todoroki asked the younger version of Naruto.
Naruto nodded. "Well I actually got 40% of the question wrong since I made some silly mistakes."
"The fact that you are willing to admit this tells me that I should have done another test on you," Iruka muttered under his breath, shaking his head at her. Naruto poked her tongue out, laughing nervously as the brown-haired man stared down at her.
"This is proof that I'm smart!" Naruto declared, puffing her chest. "There isn't a subject that I'm not good—"
"You need help when it comes to English," Todoroki informed her, quirking his lips into a small smile. Naruto blinked and puffed her cheeks, folded her arms against her chest. There is a subject that I'm not good at. He blinked and ruffed her hair, causing the blonde to blink. "Don't worry I help you with it but you help me with physics."
"Do the two of you actually get some studying done?" Itsuka asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
Todoroki schooled his expression. "Yes, we do."
"You don't distract her?" Itsuka asked.
Todoroki avoided the knowing eyes of his girlfriend's friend, cheeks growing a light shade of red. Maybe there had been a few times when he distracted Naruto from their exams or homework, but he always made sure to do it when he was certain Naruto was going to do fine in the exam or when she was nearly done with her homework.
She probably should have tried to play with Sasuke but Naruto was still angry with her friend for not attempting to defend her from his crazed fangirl. I didn't think he would be so stupid in believing her! Naruto didn't believe that bullshit for one second. She knows from her playdates with Sasuke that his Daddy didn't like it when she got better scores than him.
Sasuke pressed his lips into a thin line and chewed his tongue from correcting Naruto. There was some truth behind her words. His father did hate it when Naruto or anyone really scored better than him. But he never lied to her when he claimed that he didn't think that stupid teacher would believe Ami.
Not like telling her would help their situation.
Todoroki just stared at the boy and looked at Naruto, rubbing circles around the girl's back as his mismatch eyes focused on him. Sasuke cleared his throat and decided to resume the reading.
She knows that he doesn't like her.
"Of all the people that our son can befriend, he chooses her?" She didn't mean to hear it but Naruto heard voices talking in one of the study. Well actually she did mean to hear it. She wanted to know where Itachi was, because Sasuke kept talking about him like he was some kind of God. "You put him up to it, didn't you Mikoto? You want our son to get together with the spawn of that devil."
"If he wasn't dead before, I would maim him." Todoroki muttered under his breath, grinding his teeth together. Nejire curled her lips into a tiny smile, shaking her head at the reaction of her friend's boyfriend. It didn't really surprise her that this would be his reaction.
Sasuke pressed his lips into a frown while Naruto just stared at Todoroki, lips curled into a smile. She was kind of glad that she had him in her life. But I really do wonder what happened for my feelings for him to change. She knitted her eyebrows together and flickered her eyes to Bakugou.
"Don't you dare call her that! She is the child of my…"
Naruto doesn't know what happened after that because Itachi caught her. It had been the closest that Naruto has ever gotten to know who might be her parents, and Naruto doesn't even know what stops her from going to Mikoto and asking her about her parents. Mikoto likes her and Naruto thinks Mikoto might be the closest thing she can ever have to a mother.
"No one can really replace Mikoto-obaachan." Naruto declared, clearing her throat. Sasuke nodded in agreement while everyone just stared at the two orphans, never fully comprehending what those two kids had went through. Todoroki nodded, rubbing circles around her back.
"No one expects you," Aizawa informed her. "A mother figure is not something that can be replaced easily."
Bakugou grunted. "My mother is just your fun Aunt if you are worried about her role in your life. She butts heads with you less than she does with me."
"When you mean butts head…"
"She teases you and IcyHot," Bakugou confirmed. "Always telling the two of you to be careful."
Naruto flushed red and looked at Sasuke. "Continue reading, Bastard!"
It was just too bad that Sasuke doesn't like the idea of sharing his mother with her.
"Someone has sharing problems," Bakugou taunted, looking at Sasuke.
Naruto shook her head. "He has a brother complex too!"
"I do not!" Sasuke snapped.
"You threw a hissy fit when Shishui made a comment about him having a girlfriend!"
"Did not!"
To have the final word, Sasuke continued reading the next paragraph.
"S-Sorry!" Naruto blinks and stopped walking when she caught sight of her seniors cornering one of her classmates. It was the weird classmate. The one with the very pretty dark blue hair and pale lavender eyes, who always seemed to watch her and Sasuke.
The television screen showed a six-year-old Hinata cowering as a couple of boys loomed over her. Nejire squealed, clapping her hands together and hugging Hinata. The blue-haired girl blinked as the older teen made a comment about how cute Hinata was.
Naruto snickered. "I'm so glad that it is Hinata-chan that is on the other side of that hug."
"She is going to hug you next." Tamaki commented.
She groaned.
Naruto only remembers her because she has the Byakugan.
"You remember me because of my Byakugan?" Hinata asked once Nejire finished hugging her. Naruto nodded, rubbing the back of her neck and laughed nervously as her best friend stared at her. Sasuke just snorted while Kakashi just eyed the three preteens, curious to see what was the story behind their friendship.
"What's the Byakugan?" Izuku asked.
Todoroki eyed Hinata. "It's her Quirk. From what Naruto told me, Hinata and her family members can see the chakra points with their eyes."
"Wait, does this mean that they can also see…"
Todoroki nodded and Bakugou inched away from Naruto, closer to Izuku and Tamaki. The knowledge that Hinata could see through his clothes meant that there was some things that he did not want her to see. Naruto snickered while her friends just shook their heads at her.
Sasuke always tried to steer her away from that classmate, explaining to her that his clan really didn't like their classmate's clan. We are rivals. Naruto doesn't understand how they can be rivals when their classmate was scared and didn't pick fights with anyone. Their classmate just keeps to herself in the same way that Naruto and Sasuke kept to themselves
"So the three of you were the loners?" Nejire asked, looking at the three of them.
Naruto nodded. "Well I guess if you look at it in that way! Sasuke doesn't like hanging out with people while Hinata-chan and me aren't really popular with the other girls!"
"It changes when you get older," Izuku informed her. Naruto blinked and stared at her future friends, wondering how she went from being only friends with boys to making friends with both genders. She looked at Itsuka and the girl nodded, confirming Izuku's suspicions.
She thinks their classmate can't ever be Sasuke's rival, because Sasuke would defend himself. Her classmate was quivering and scared out of her mind as those bullies kept taunting her.
"But you are different now," Sakura commented, knitting her eyebrows together as she looked at Hinata. For the last two years, the pink-haired girl couldn't help but notice that the blue-haired girl had been growing in her confidence. It was possibly because of Naruto but she wasn't certain.
Hinata nodded. "Naruto-chan gave me courage."
"She is like the sun to you," Tamaki commented. Naruto blinked and stared at the older boy, who seemed to flickered his eyes to Mirio. The blond-haired boy laughed, realizing how important Naruto was to Hinata. Hinata nodded her head, pleased with someone understanding her relationship with Naruto.
It would never be right for her to stand there and not do anything right? Heroes were supposed to help people and Naruto likes the idea of becoming a hero to someone else. Maybe they could be friends, and Naruto likes the idea of having a friend that was a girl.
"Really?" Sasuke asked, pausing in the book.
Naruto nodded. "C'mon there are just some things I cannot talk to you about. You are a guy and I'm a girl! I can't talk to you shit like periods or anything!"
He flushed red, realizing that he should haven't asked Naruto the question because this was one topic that he never wanted to hear from her. Todoroki grimaced as he realized how terrifying Naruto could be.
She wants a friendship like the one that Ino and Sakura has; she doubts Sasuke would allow her to decorate his hair with flowers. Not that Naruto wanted to do it but the idea was there.
Sakura and Ino glanced at each other before flickering their eyes to Hinata and Naruto. The two of them might be on the road of repairing their friendship, but the both of them would agree that the other two girls had a stronger friendship between each other.
"There are just some things I can't do or talk with any of the boys even Sasuke," Naruto admitted as everyone turned to look at the blond-haired girl with raised eyebrows. Hinata nodded, curling her lips into a bright smile while Sasuke just wrinkled his nose at her.
"There are just some things that a girl can't talk with a boy." Nejire agreed, shaking her head and looking at Tamaki and Mirio, who bobbed their heads in agreement.
"Quit it!" Naruto charged straight towards them. They stopped their taunts and slowly turned their heads at her. Their eyes widened at the sight of her but she focused her eyes on her shy classmate. They made her cry. Naruto doesn't like bullies and she hates them even more for making someone cry.
"You would hate Kacchan if you met him when we were kids," Izuku informed her. "He bullied a lot of people."
Naruto stared at Bakugou. "Why the hell do you want to be a hero?"
"It makes a lot of money," Bakugou answered, shrugging his shoulders.
"Oh, you are that kid!" The tallest boy commented. He smiled at her. It was not the small smiles that Sasuke directed to her whenever they were alone and playing in his room. It was not the annoyed, but secretly happy, smiles Shikamaru directed her. It was the same cruel smile that Ami had whenever she wanted to taunt her.
"He is going to regret it." Bakugou declared, shaking his head.
Naruto grinned. "He never bothered us after what I did to him."
"Uzumaki is scary," Izuku whispered to Todoroki.
The mismatch boy nodded. "She has her heart in the right place."
"I'm not that kid! I'm Uzumaki Naruto, the girl that is going to become your future Hokage and don't you dare forget it!" Naruto screams it out for the whole world to hear. They glanced at each other for a few seconds before bursting out in laughter.
"You sound just like Kacchan," Izuku commented, chuckling at Naruto. The twelve-year-old girl stared at him for a couple of seconds, processing what Izuku had just said before swirling her head to Bakugou.
"We are nothing alike!" Naruto and Bakugou declared.
Todoroki hummed. "Your desire to scream out your dreams makes the two of you similar."
"Shut up!" Bakugou snapped at his cousin's boyfriend. He doesn't like the fact how Todoroki could see the similarities between them and certainly didn't like the fact that the boy was already affecting the younger version of his cousin.
"What an idiot!"
"You?"
"You barely get good scores!"
"Scores means shit!" Naruto declared, giving a middle finger to the boys in the screen. Several of the genin alongside the people from the future nodded their heads in agreement. Most of them knew from their own experiences that scores doesn't mean a person can be strong.
Naruto does not even batter an eyelash at those insults. She allowed them to insult her because Naruto knew the truth. She was going to become somebody. She would become the strongest Kunoichi in all of the land and then they would bow down to her. They would look at themselves and think just how stupid they were to underestimate her.
"Am I the strongest kunoichi in the world?" Naruto asked the future trio.
Shouto frowned. "I don't know if I'm a good at being objective since I always thought you were strong, and I have never really see you fought another shinobi. You haven't return to Konoha at all in the time I have known you."
"With her insane strength, Whiskers has to be the strongest!" Bakugou declared. "I didn't lose to some weakling!"
"I beat you?" Naruto demanded.
Bakugou grunted. "By pure luck."
Sasuke just stared at the boy but made no attempt to call him out of his behaviour. He could only wonder how strong he was going to become. Hopefully, it would be strong enough to kill Itachi.
"You are the idiots." The boys growled at her words. The tallest boy clenched his hands into a fist, swung back and then launched his fist at her. Naruto stepped to the side and smashed her fist against his rib, feeling and hearing the sound of his ribs cracking to tiny pieces.
"That's gonna hurt," Mirio commented, wincing. From right beside him, Tamaki nodded and clutched his ribs as if trying to picture the amount of pain that those boys were in. Nejire just whistled, pleased at the sight of a young Naruto being able to beat up so many people.
"You shouldn't beat people up," Aizawa scolded her.
Naruto pouted. "But they were going to beat me up!"
"She couldn't just let them hit her," Todoroki agreed.
Aizawa eyed him. "You aren't objective enough, Todoroki. Of course you are going to agree with Uzumaki since she is your girlfriend."
Todoroki just flushed a light shade of red. "I can see things objectively, Aizawa-sensei."
"Can you?" Bakugou grunted, thinking of the various sleepless nights that he had been forced to endure because his cousin was successful in making Todoroki forget certain issues.
He cried out in pain and clutched his body, moaning in pain.
And this is our senior? He really isn't something. Naruto turned to look at the other two boys and blinked when one of the boys grabbed her hair. He yanked it hard while the other boy tried to punch her. Naruto frowns. She grabbed hold of the boy that yanked her hair and pulled him off of her, before swinging him to the boy that tried to punch her.
"Show them what a member of the Uzumaki Clan can do!" Kenji declared, nodding his head with pride. Aizawa eyed the man, looking almost tempted to scold him for his behaviour, while Kakashi just inched away from the man. As much as he liked Kenji, he was still terrified of the man.
"Is everyone related to Naruto, scary?" Ino asked Todoroki.
Todoroki nodded. "It runs in the family."
Both of them smashed into the trees and cried out in pain.
"You are a monster!" The boys cried. "We are going…"
Naruto smiled. "Sure you go ahead and run to your Mummy, but if your Mummy comes then I will tell them that their sweet sons was bullying a member of a shinobi clan. I bet her clan will be upset if they know that you dare to bully one of their own…I wonder what they will do to you."
"Make their lives hell," Kenji answered, chuckling and rubbing his hands. "We have our ways of getting justice."
Naruto frowned. "Did you get justice?"
"Oh yeah," Kenji answered, looking proud of himself. "I got justice for what happened to you."
Naruto blinked and opened her mouth to question him, only to close her mouth when she realized that maybe he would talk about it with her future self. She wondered how close they were in the future.
They gulped at her words and Naruto silently praised herself for paying attention to Sasuke whenever he explains the importance of a shinobi clan to her. It had always been a boring topic to her and she doesn't understand why he thinks she needed to know this.
"Because if you are going to become Hokage then you need to know this," Sasuke explained.
Hinata nodded. "We don't want you to mess things up because you don't know the proper etiquette."
"I know that now!" Naruto grumbled, pouting at her friends.
It was just too boring if you asked her.
Naruto turned her attention to the silent girl and smiles brightly at her. She holds her hand out and the girl just stared wide-eyed at her, looking at her with strange eyes. She doesn't have a name for those strange emotions but Naruto likes it a lot.
"It is called gratitude," Sakura explained to Naruto. "You saved her so of course Hinata is looking at you with so much gratefulness."
Naruto hummed and bobbed her head. "Did you feel like that when Ino saved you?"
Ino turned to look at the pink-haired girl, eyes flashing with curiosity at what Sakura would do or say. Sakura took a deep breath and bobbed her head, not bothering to deny the truth behind those words.
It makes her feel nice and makes her feel happy.
Hinata smiled widely. "I felt the same way, Naruto-chan!"
"Are you okay? Those bastards were being really mean about your eyes," Naruto said. She smiled even wider when the girl blinked at her and Naruto thinks that maybe she might just get a friend. Her classmate did not looks like she wanted to slap her hand away or looked at her like she was dirt beneath her shoes. "I think your eyes looks really pretty. My name is Uzumaki Naruto…what is your name?"
"You were the first person to compliment me for my eyes," Hinata declared, offering her a small smile.
Naruto grinned. "Really? I really did like your eyes, Hinata-chan!"
The girl smiled and grabbed her hand. Her cheeks were flushed red and Naruto thinks that this would be the first time that she makes a friend that was not some boy.
"Hyuga…Hyuga Hinata b-but you can call me Hinata, Naruto-chan."
"Hinata-chan! I am going to call you, Hinata-chan!"
That was the day when Naruto became friends with Hinata and it would be one of the few happy memories that Naruto has of her childhood.
"That is so sweet!" Nejire sobbed, rushing back to the two teens and hugging them so tightly that Naruto feared she might actually die from the lack of breath. Why would that woman say this? There was nothing sweet about what happened between them.
Aizawa just sighed and shook his head while Sasuke snorted, looking faintly amused at the attack.
"The next part of the chapter is going back to the future," Sasuke declared. "And it is in your thoughts, Idiot."
"Why do you call her an Idiot?" Nejire asked.
Sasuke sighed. "Because she acts like a complete idiot."
Honestly, did he have to spell it out to people?
"Uzumaki, can you please take care of that table? I know your shift is nearly over but I have got a date and…well it will only be this one time!"
The television screen showed a 15-year-old Naruto about to change out of her uniform when a young man with brown hair stopped her. Several of the girls frowned, looking almost uncertain of what future Naruto would do. Everyone knew of what Naruto felt about dates but then again they didn't know future Naruto.
Naruto was about to hang her apron, only for her male co-worker to run up to her with a nervous look. She put down her apron and looked at her nervous colleague. There was a huge temptation to tell the boy off for scheduling his date during his shift, but it would be wrong for her to do this to him. From what she overheard with the other waiters, she knows her fellow co-worker had been nervous about asking his crush out on a date.
"You are actually going to help him?" Tenten asked, blinking her eyes at him.
Naruto shrugged. "What can I say? I have a soft heart."
"Soft my ass," Sakura muttered under her breath. Ino nodded her head in agreement. The two of them had to deal with Naruto mocking them about their feelings towards Sasuke. If Naruto was actually soft then she wouldn't ever mock them about their feelings.
It was not even a big deal when Naruto calculated just how much more money she could get from working overtime. More money means she would have enough money to buy more presents for Eri-chan. The little girl might have gotten a lot of toys and present that day when Aizawa-sensei took her, but Naruto thinks Eri-chan deserves more toys and clothes.
"You spoil her too much," Aizawa grumbled under his breath. He could think of the number of gifts that Naruto didn't need to give to his foster daughter. Honestly, the amount of arguments he had with Eri over some of the gifts could have been avoided if Naruto didn't buy them.
Naruto frowned. "If I have the money then I will spoil her."
"You shouldn't do it," Todoroki commented, shaking his head at her.
"No problem." Naruto flashed him a smile.
Her colleague blinked and bowed down, thanking her over and over again as the blond-haired girl shook her head. You better not screw up this date. Naruto doesn't dare tell him of her thoughts because it sounded like she was rooting for him, and she doesn't even know him. She just knows that his crush looks kind of cute, even if Naruto finds nothing attractive about horns, and his crush really seems to like him.
"Don't worry Naru-chan, I know you are a romantic at heart." Nejire declared, flashing a smile at the girl.
Naruto shook her head and crossed her arms. "I'm not a romantic! I hate the idea of romance!"
"You hate romantic movies," Todoroki commented. "But you don't mind romance as long as no one teases you about it."
Naruto groaned and flushed a light shade of red while Hinata giggled. The blue-haired girl could only wonder what those two were like whenever they were alone. She knew what her best-friend was like with her but it would be interesting for her to see what Naruto was like with Shouto when she fell in love with him.
Naruto doesn't think she was a romantic at heart, but love was something precious.
"You are a definite romantic," Kurenai commented.
Kakashi nodded. "But Naruto won't ever admit it, not even if you pay her."
"Betrayer!" Naruto accused her teacher.
The man chuckled. "But I'm just telling the truth, Naruto-chan!"
The blonde scowled while Izuku just wondered if those two were a lot more close than Naruto portrayed herself to be.
So Naruto plastered her largest smile, grabbed her notepad and walks over to the table that her colleague asked her to waiter. Several eyes followed her and her boss looked almost annoyed but Naruto doesn't really care what her boss thinks about her overworking. It was just for another hour and then she would be out of here. Another hour and Naruto would be in Aizawa-sensei's apartment to hang out with Eri.
"Does Naruto-san spend a lot of time in your apartment?" Lee asked, knitting his eyebrows at Aizawa.
The man nodded his head. "She is my preferred babysitter for Eri and she is the one of the few girls that Eri would listen to."
"Who is the other?" Naruto asked.
"Ms. Joke." Todoroki answered, not flinching when his teacher turned to glare at him for letting that piece of information out. Bakugou snickered, knowing of the theory that Naruto had of their teacher and his relationship with the female hero, while Izuku just stared at Aizawa.
"Girlfriend?" Kakashi asked.
Aizawa cleared his throat. "None of your business."
Kakashi chuckled as he realized what kind of relationship that the man had with the person called Ms. Joke.
Another hour and she could yell at Aizawa-sensei for pairing her up with the asshole that was Todoroki.
"You should be grateful for Aizawa-sensei," Nejire commented.
Naruto groaned. "Why am I being scolded? This is future me!"
"I know but Naru-chan isn't here," Nejire explained. "So you are the next best thing."
"Fuck my future self," Naruto grumbled.
She slowed down when she saw that the table was of her two seniors. Togata and Amajiki. Naruto looked over her shoulder to where her colleague was and glared hard at him for putting her there. He smiled nervously, held up his own notepad and scribbled down some letters.
"Now I can understand why she didn't like talking to us," Mirio commented, shaking his head.
Sasuke flinched at the reminder of what he was going to do to Naruto and how it was going to affect her. Maybe if he hadn't done those things then his best friend might have seen Tamaki in a romantic light. Although if he didn't do the things he did then Naruto would be here and he might have a chance with her.
Now he didn't deserve it.
Naruto hoped it was an apology because his handwriting was just terrible.
"Hi, I am Uzumaki Naruto and I will be your waitress for tonight," Naruto said. She forced the fake cheer into her tone and smiled so widely that her cheeks hurt. "What would you guys like to order?"
"Did you like me that much that you forgot my behaviour?" Naruto asked Tamaki.
The boy flushed a bright shade of red and nodded his head. "I just thought that wasn't your real personality. I mean I can see that you have doubts but you just pretended everything was okay."
"Is that why you liked her?" Hinata asked.
Tamaki pressed his lips into a thin line and shook his head. "It is one reason but I was running away from my feelings for someone else. It is a good thing I never told Uzumaki about my feelings towards her."
"It would be weird," Todoroki commented.
She kept her blue eyes focused on Togata and then slowly shifted her attention to Amajiki. The forced smile on her face became even larger, only to falter slightly when the boy flushed a bright shade of red. What is it with guys that looks like Sasuke and their desire to flush red? Sasuke flushed red like that once, but when Naruto teased him about being a softie.
"Sasuke-kun is a real softie," Sakura agreed.
Sasuke scowled. "I'm not!"
"Yes, you are." Naruto declared, grinning at him. "You buy me ramen whenever I am furious."
Hinata chuckled and shook her head, pale lavender eyes fixated on the smiling faces of her best friend. She flickered her eyes to Todoroki, smiling slightly when she saw the lack of jealously of her friend's boyfriend. Neji just shook his head, not looking pleased at the knowledge that the Uchiha knew how to avoid the anger of the blonde.
Hinata refused to tell him, always telling him to figure it out. That was the only time when Hinata would stand up to him.
When she asked him why he was blushing, her teammate flushed red and said that the weather was just too hot. It was weird because it had been a really cold day when Naruto thinks about it.
Maybe the weather had been hot and she was the weirdo.
"What would you recommend, Uzumaki?" Togata asked. He flickered his eyes to his friend, nudging him on the rib and the boy blinked. She waited for Amajiki to say something but he just muttered something under his breath. Did he says that he wants whatever Togata-senpai was having? Her ears had never been wrong before.
"Nope, she didn't misheard him." Mirio admitted, shaking his head.
Naruto grinned. "I have the best ears in the room!"
"No!" Kiba declared. "That's me."
"Really? Then why must I yell at you to get some work done?" Naruto asked, puffing her cheeks at him.
"Because you aren't the boss of me."
"That's your mother!"
Everyone just shook their heads at the two friends.
Naruto hummed and tilted her head. In the three years she worked in this café, her boss had made her try every one of her creative dishes. The parfait was always so sweet and sometimes makes her want to cry tears of pleasure. It was also one of the more popular dishes with the customers. The pancakes was also another bonus option, one enjoyed by a lot of people, but it was not her favourite dessert.
"Do I have a favourite dessert?" Naruto asked Sakura.
Sakura sighed. "How am I supposed to know, Naruto?"
The blonde pouted.
She nodded her head.
"Strawberry shortcake."
The cake melted in her tongue when she ate it and was just so pretty in her opinion. Maybe Naruto should ask her boss for the recipe because Eri-chan might just like it. Eri was still a little girl and little girls like sweets, don't they? She would never know since she only started eating after Hinata-chan invited her to the house.
"That's a crime!" Itsuka cried. "Sweets are the best."
Naruto held her hands up. "It isn't a crime to not eat sweets until I was seven!"
"It would have been a nightmare if you were given sweets earlier," Iruka muttered, shaking his head. "I would have been dealing with a hyperactive version of you."
Naruto pouted. "It wouldn't have been that bad."
"It would be a nightmare," Bakugou muttered under his breath.
Even then, it had been the more traditional sweets and Naruto likes the western sweets more than the traditional ones that Hinata offered her.
"Then Tamaki and I will take the strawberry shortcake," Togata said happily, handing her back the menu. He smiled even brighter at her. "So how are you finding your first week in Yuuei High so far?"
Naruto felt tempted not to answer the question, but Togata-senpai was a customer. The happier a customer was, the more money she could get since they could give her more tips. More tips meant more money that she could spend on Eri-chan. She could get her that pretty doll that had been on display.
"Did I buy it?" Naruto asked Aizawa.
Aizawa nodded.
"Glad our money went for a worthy cause," Mirio declared, pulling Tamaki close to him.
The teen sighed and nodded his head in agreement.
"Great."
Actually it was crap. She doubt that her senpai wanted to listen to her as she complained about how Todoroki interfered with her business or how he called her…Naru-chan. The anger inside her bubbled over when she recalled how he dared to call her by that nickname.
"Sorry," Todoroki muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
Naruto grunted. "My future self must have forgiven you if she is dating you."
"You know Nejire is going to be so upset when we tell her that you finally talked to us," Togata laughed and then he tilted his head at her. "Why do you keep quiet around Nejire?"
"I still don't understand why," Nejire admitted.
Sasuke grunted as he read the next part of the chapter.
Because she is too friendly and I know she wants something from me. No one could be this friendly with her for no reason. Hinata might be her friend but their friendship formed when Naruto saved the girl from those bullies that hurt her.
"I didn't want anything," Nejire declared, frowning at her.
Naruto sighed. "Future self! Remember!"
"And I always wanted to be your friend," Hinata admitted. "I just didn't have the courage to become your friend until that day."
Naruto felt her throat tightened at those words because this had been in the back of her mind. She always wonder why the heiress of the Hyuga Clan wanted to be her friend but now she knew that it wasn't because she saved her. The blonde cleared her throat and hugged her best friend.
She could never tell them this.
"Because she talks really, really fast and I can't keep up."
It was a tiny lie mixed with some truth.
"I don't talk that fast!"
"You do," Tamaki and Mirio said in unison.
The girl pouted at her two friends.
"You will catch up to Nejire's speech after you spend time with her."
Naruto blinked and swirled her head at Amijiki. Blue eyes grew wide when the nervous, quiet boy spoke to her with a nervous smile playing on his lips. The tone carried some fondness and the softness in his eyes made her pause. He flushed a brighter shade of red. There was only one conclusion that she could come up with.
"So how long has Amijiki-senpai likes Hadou-senpai?"
"He liked you, idiot!" Ino grumbled, shaking her head.
Naruto pouted. "How was my future self supposed to know? I mean how did Todoroki know I like him?"
"You will find out," Todoroki muttered under his breath.
Togata stared at her for a long second while Amijiki just slumped his shoulders. Togata flickered his eyes to her and then to his slumping friend, shaking his head and letting out a huge laugh that could be heard by the whole crowded café. Naruto just blinked, uncertain on what was just so funny about her words.
"It's funny that you are blind to how many boys like you," Bakugou grumbled. "I have to wonder how IcyHot can control his temper when some of the boys tries to hit on you."
Todoroki grunted. "Naruto distracts me."
"I didn't need to know that!" Bakugou and Izuku yelled.
"Get your mind out of the gutter," Todoroki grumbled.
The two boys flushed a bright shade of red.
"Tamaki likes someone else," Togata explained to her. His friend kept furiously shaking his head and seemed to be silently begging for Togata to keep quiet, but the boy just smiled. "She is really cute and younger than him. But poor Tamaki has no idea on how to confess his feelings to her, do you think you can give him some idea? Nejire hasn't been of any help."
"Naru-chan refused to give me any hints at the time!" Nejire declared, shaking her head.
Ino frowned. "Is she the only one that can help?"
"Nejire is my friend," Tamaki explained. "And I'm comfortable around her."
That made sense if you asked Naruto.
Naruto raised her eyebrow. "And you are asking me? Why?"
"Because he is trying to hint that Tamaki likes you," Neji grunted under his breath.
Todoroki nodded his head.
"Yeah, why are you asking her?" Tamaki hissed quietly and Naruto feels herself growing petty. Normally, she would never care to help someone for their confession but she was still in a bad mood from what happened earlier with Todoroki.
"Please don't say anything rude," Sakura whispered under her breath.
Naruto just nodded her head in agreement, praying to herself that her future self would not take out her anger on the two innocent boys. She had done it to some of the clients, which had caused them to lose some of their pay checks. A few of them had been Sasuke's fault but well she would never say it out loud, not when Sakura might just hit her.
"You probably have an idea on how a girl would like to be confessed," Togata explained innocently. He smiled widely at her. "How would you like to be confessed?"
"No idea," Naruto answered.
"Really?" Ino demanded.
Shikamaru sighed. "It's Naruto. Of course she would never think about it."
I never thought about it. Naruto knew a lot of girls imagined how their crushes and future boyfriends would confess to them. They wanted something romantic and to be something big, but Naruto never thought about love. She never had the time to think about it. Love…love just wasn't for her.
"Turns out I was wrong," Naruto muttered, looking at Todoroki with flushed cheeks. He curled his lips into a smile, not noticing the way that everyone was just shaking their heads at them. Nejire just covered her mouth, hiding her giggles from everyone.
"Love is for everyone," Nejire declared, smiling widely at them.
Todoroki hummed. "Even villains love, although you have to wonder—"
"Don't finish that sentence," Kenji grunted. "Asa is still in denial of what he did to her and I want to find out how the fuck that this happened."
"What are you talking about?" Naruto asked them.
Todoroki sighed. "You are going to find out later. Just don't judge her."
"I don't know…I never thought about it."
Togata blinked. "Never thought about it? You look like the kinda of girl that thinks about it sometime."
"Take those words back!" Naruto yelled at Mirio.
The boy gulped. "S-Sorry but you really do look like—"
"Don't finish that sentence, Mirio-senpai!" Izuku hissed. "Uzumaki is really scary."
Shikamaru nodded his head in agreement and the teen had no choice but to listen to them. He doesn't know what a younger version of his junior was like but Mirio could guess that the girl was just more violent. It was a miracle that his junior learnt to control her temper.
"Never imagined it," she admitted and the blond-haired girl missed how Amijiki hunched his shoulders at her words. There was no reason for her to lie about it and no harm for her to tell them this. They could never use that piece of information against her.
"How could they use it against you?" Choji asked Naruto.
The blonde shrugged her shoulders. "No idea."
She flickered her eyes to the hunched boy and mulled over what to do. If she helped them then they would give her more tips, wouldn't they? And helping them with their problem wouldn't be a big deal. The two of them were from different years and they would never spend time with her, so it would never hurt her to help them with this problem.
"And you just missed the point," Hinata muttered, shaking her head.
Naruto pouted. "How am I supposed to understand crushes? You have to kiss me to make me understand."
"But you have no problem kissing me without warning," Todoroki muttered under his breath.
"What does she like? Your crush?" Naruto elaborated, directing her eyes at Amijiki.
"Ramen," everyone said in unison.
"Ice-skating." Todoroki also added.
Naruto blinked. "What? Why? I don't know how to ice-skate."
"You will find out." Todoroki told her. "But I kinda taught you."
The blonde blinked at this piece of information.
The boy flushed a brighter shade of red and chose not to answer. Naruto glanced at Togata for help and the boy eyed his friend with amusement.
"Ramen," he grinned.
"Wouldn't that have been a clue?" Lee asked Naruto.
Naruto pouted. "I'm not the only one that loves ramen!"
"I love ramen too," Mirio answered and the blonde grinned, pleased to know that there was another person to love ramen as much as she did. Sasuke and Sakura glanced at each other, shaking their heads at this piece of information.
"Smart girl," Naruto complimented. The girl probably couldn't be all that bad if she liked ramen. Only mean people or anyone with bad taste could hate the food of the gods. Maybe that was why she never got along with some of the girls in the Academy.
"It's because you were close to Sasuke," Kiba pointed out to her. "You were like public enemy number one to them just because you were his best friend."
Naruto hummed. "Nope, it's because of the ramen."
"Even Kaminari will tell you because it was your friendship with Duckass instead of their food taste," Bakugou informed her, shaking his heads at her. "And he's an idiot."
"Your opinion doesn't count," Naruto declared, poking her tongue at him.
"Right? Ramen is the best food in the world."
"No, it's soba." Todoroki declared.
"Ramen!" Mirio and Naruto said in unison.
"Read!" Tamaki barked at Sasuke.
The boy nodded his head and continued to read quickly.
Her senpai might not be so bad if he liked ramen.
"Okay then what else does she like?"
"Drawing," Todoroki answered.
Kenji nodded. "She makes good drawings."
Naruto blinked at this piece of information.
The two seniors glanced at each other and shrugged their shoulders. "We don't know."
"It is hard to know what you like when you don't want to get close," Izuku commented, shaking his head at her.
Naruto sighed. "Should I just make a list of my likes and dislikes?"
"Too late now," Mirio commented.
Naruto just shrugged her shoulders. Well at least she tried to be helpful towards them, even if it meant that she might affect her relationship with Todoroki. She doesn't even know how they got together or what their relationship was like, because her future self seem so distant from him.
Naruto sighed and realized that she really had her work cut out for her. As long as she could help her senpai get his crush and get some tips then it didn't really matter to her about what her senpai knew about his crush.
"Damn, she helped you for money." Kiba commented, chuckling at them.
Mirio smiled. "Well at least she interacted with us!"
She just wanted to know how someone could like someone that they didn't know all that well.
"You should ask the fangirls," Sasuke muttered under his breath.
A/N: What do you think of this chapter? How did you feel when you first read the chapter? Do you think I should bring the Third Hokage in this? Mikoto may come in Chapter 13 but that is up for debate.
