Happy New Year everyone!

2020 has arrived and I hope that everyone has had a lovely holiday period and New Year. I gave myself the period off writing. Mine was OK apart from the the fact I caught a virus that lasts about 6 weeks. I've decided that this decade will be my best years yet... once I can shake the virus. My rewritten Fantastic Beasts fic will go up tomorrow as it's a special day.

Happy New Year again!

Lots of love,

Love Changes Everything-Part 18:

Finally the day before the wedding arrived and there still a lot to do and Lucius, Narcissa and their parents were wrapped up and looking around the gardens. The fairy lights were finally up, an ask of Narcissa's as she felt that they were perfect for the wedding and the time of year that it was being held.

The couple were also being kept apart and that was beginning to frustrate them. Priscilla and Abraxas could see and knowing what they did about the young couple were trying to get them together when they could and sadly it was failing as Druella seemed to be aware of what the Malfoys were trying to do.

Lucius and Narcissa had finally been able to stand together and had laced their fingers when Druella turned and looked at them.

"You two are not married yet. That is strictly forbidden," the Black matriarch said before pulling Narcissa away, causing her to groan and Druella's eyes widened and she glared at her daughter. "Narcissa Rosalie Black! You are a Pureblood witch and we do not let our sexual frustrations show. Tomorrow night you and Lucius will consummate your marriage and then you will be able to start on the process of producing an heir."

"No. Lucius and I want to wait at least a year before we start thinking about that and I believe that I have already told you about that," Narcissa said as she looked at her mother, "we have plenty of time for that," she said before pulling her hand away from her mother and walking back over to Lucius as the couple locked eye with his parents full well knowing that the marriage had already been consummated… well their whole relationship had been for months.

"Druella maybe we should let them decide. After all they will be married tomorrow," Abraxas said.

"They are just teenagers. What do they know about love?" Druella scoffed, "they are not allowed to make their own choices."

"They have made decisions that you have no idea about," Priscilla said wadding into the fray, "we have listened to their plans and can see that they really want to take everything at their own pace. We force them and all that will do is push them away. That is the last things anyone wants I'm sure."

Silence fell on the group and Lucius took the chance to get Narcissa away from the arguing and they headed towards the Rose Garden where only Priscilla would know where they'd gone. The Garden had been meant for her but things had happened and she'd been unable to make it hers but, inspired by Lucius' nickname for Narcissa, she'd agreed to hand the Garden over to Lucius so he could transform it back into a thriving garden and a place where Narcissa could relax in the summer, and even in the winter once the summerhouse had been repaired.

Lucius led his fiancée over to the bench as the snow had begun to fall again and he wrapped an arm around her. They could faintly hear arguing from nearby and Narcissa sighed.

"This was not how I wanted today to go at all," she said as she looked down at her lap and laced her hands together before watching as Lucius' hand joined hers.

"My parents can handle this," he said as he used his free hand to lift her head up, kissing her softly. Narcissa instantly seemed to relax at the kiss. Lucius had known exactly what she'd needed in the present moment and was going to make sure that she relaxed as much as possible.

Hats soon fell off heads, exposing blonde hair and hands instantly tangling inside blonde locks. Neither had realized that the arguing had ceased and that footsteps from Priscilla were closing in on them. She, after all, was the only one who knew where the Rose Garden was, apart from Abraxas but he wouldn't go near the area. This had made Priscilla think that there were bad memories tied there for him.

The door opened and closed, the mother just watching the soon-to-be husband and wife enjoying a tender moment before walking over to the couple and clearing her throat.

"The arguing has finally stopped. Your secret is safe and we need to head inside for prepare for the meal. I'll help Cissa," she said after seeing Lucius' concerned eyes, "I am not letting that woman anywhere near her alone."

"She'll gather something is up. Tonight is my last night with her in charge. I will handle my mother," Narcissa said before her hat was placed on her head by Lucius and she walked off and Priscilla wrapped her arms around her son, silently reassuring him that everything would be fine.

"Where did you and Lucius vanish when your in-laws were trying to explain how they've turned you against us?" Druella asked as she pulled the lace tighter on Narcissa's corset and helping her into her dress.

"Just had some private things to discuss," Narcissa said, not even moving as she felt suffocated.

"That is…."

"We are not at Black Manor. We are at Malfoy Manor mother," Narcissa reminded her and looked at her mother in the mirror.

"You will wear this corset tomorrow seeing as you will be wearing the Malfoy wedding dress," Druella said before beginning to sort Narcissa's hair out. The one thing the matriarch always made sure was done correctly was Narcissa's hair. That was the one thing Druella would always be thankful for… Narcissa gaining the blonde hair from the Rosier side of the bloodline.

Lucius soon knocked on the door and Druella excused herself and Lucius entered the bedroom.

"She say much?" he asked.

"No. Other than I have to wear the Black Family Corset tomorrow otherwise she mainly left me alone. Something is going on. She's usually trying to wear me down," she said, twirling a curl round her finger before sighing softly.

The two headed downstairs and to the grand dining room where everyone stood up and applauded them as they entered. Tonight they were allowed to sit together and took up the two remaining seats with their fathers either side of them. Narcissa had wished different. Not being intimate with Lucius was testing every resolve in her body. The two had discussed a plan with Priscilla that would allow them to be together that night and fool Druella at the same time.

Narcissa smiled and responded when she was spoken to, all the time feeling Lucius' hand on her thigh. All she wanted to do was be alone with Lucius. Maybe her mother was right in that she was a lovesick teenager and this would all wear off but she wanted to enjoy it all whilst she could.

What amazed her was that everyone was suddenly getting along. She could see her mother and Priscilla laughing and joking around, Bellatrix was there and seemingly happy with Rodolphus and Delphini. She knew her little niece would be the most beautiful flower girl the next day. She wanted everything to go as planned and knew at some point the Dark Lord would arrive to bless them but that wouldn't be until after the wedding.

Priscilla soon stood up and the plan began to take shape and Lucius and Narcissa slipped off to spend the evening together before everything would be allowed without question. The wedding was now just hours away and the young couple only wanted one thing: To be married at last and that would happen the very next day.
