Conversations were the Portal to killing misunderstandings.

Hangovers.

They were the wicked reminder of mortality. The low to one's high. The reality of false moments and honest truths. It was the bullshit to the promise of a perfect picture.

Serena hated her head, little elves were drilling holes and teetering in her head. She hadn't eaten after drinking, a huge mistake when dealing with rum. She saw outside was quiet, the sun peaking, whitening her room. She saw Ash was still out in dreamland, his body relaxed and at ease. She turned over and realized her heart had to be selfish. She needed to figure out a way to keep him, to have him.

Was he only hers? She still wasn't sure. She knew the Lille girl was still there. The platinum blonde eyes sparkled that morning when she spoke of Ash. She knew something was with them. The Lille girl loved him and Serena couldn't do anything about it.

But she was confused. He came back to her, last night. She didn't want him to go. To go sleep with another woman. She didn't have time to process what she was doing; she just saw he was leaving. Leaving her. She was forceful. She wanted him with her. All the time.

It didn't make sense.

She never felt truly at ease. Always worrying. Always thinking.

Serena took a deep breath, clearing her mind. She focused on his face, snuggling up to him.

She saw him stir, his eyes opening slowly, his chest bare, breathing easy. He gave her a half smile before turning over and closing his eyes. He stretched, reaching for her and snuggling her body.

"Good Morning." He said, his voice deep and kind. She smiled, despite her tightening chest she greeted him back. They laid for a few moments. Noticing the warm room, the plants, the twinkle lights, the soft white glow as the sun streamed through the slightly transparent curtains.

"Let's talk." He said, his eyes wide open now, his body still wrapped around her. Her eyes darted to him.

"What do you want to talk about?" She conceded, she played with her fingernail, avoiding eyes.

"I want you to meet my friends." She glanced at him, disbelief.

"Aren't all our friends mutual?" She asked, her head turning away. He grabbed her face, running his thumb over her bottom lip.

"Not from Alola." He whispered.

"I don't know." She hesitated.

"Serena," he spoke again, softly, "How about you tell me what bothers you about us?" She glanced at him before looking at her hand. She couldn't run, she didn't want to lash out. In so much time, she faced the worst of people, situations by herself. She always internally freaked out, or felt pressured but she was able to deal with it, calmly, best to her abilities.

Yet, at this moment, she felt scared. She never had to truly deal with her issues with Ash. The more frightening part was she truly wanted to. She really worked on opening her emotions, having had to close them off for so many years.

She looked at him, before raising her head a bit. She captured his lips, begging to be reassured. He was caught off guard but returned her kiss. Tenfold. Her silky vest dress thing, he wasn't sure, felt nice on his chest. He broke the kiss, looking at her expectantly.

She sighed. She got out of the bed. Ash looked dejected; she shook her head.

"Let's make some breakfast, then, I'll try my best to answer your questions." The rewarding smile she got from him was enough to die happy.

They sat in her balcony, drinking from mugs filled with hot milk tea, seasoned scrambled eggs, slices of fresh cured meat, fresh fruit and bread before them. Serena had even gone fancy and roasted some asparagus. She chewed on one, looking out at the yellow rays of sunshine, reflecting strongly on the glass building in her street. She felt the warmth on her exposed skin. Her legs were pulled up, her back firmly in the wicker chair as she stared at Ash eat. She was so creepy.

"Ash," She spoke, "Ask me." She said quickly before she deflected. He gave her the side-eye, popping his last piece of bread, taking a moment to chew or think before turning completely to her.

She glanced into his eyes before moving her eyes downcast.

"Are you afraid of me?" He asked softly. She took a deep breath before nodding. He closed his eyes, absorbing that.

"Why?" He questioned.

She tilted her head, her tea clutched to her chest. "It's, it's a combination of things." She said, her voice weak. "I'm scared of you because you have a knowledge for what you what." She went off

"I'm scared of you because you represent a part of myself that I am not happy with."

"I'm scared of you because out of everyone in this world who isn't complicated, weird, problematic, indecisive and a general pain in the ass, you want me because … I don't know!" He tried to interrupt her but was silenced with a look.

"Ash, you don't understand. I – I have to figure out a lot. I'm scared of having feelings for you and it not work out. I'm, I'm to closed off. I don't make sense. I'm in my head a lot and I really was not prepared for all of this" She gestured between their bodies, "And the whole chaos that we experienced throughout the few months." She continued. "I'm not even sure why you are willing to put up with this, I'm more heartache than relief. Even I know this. I prefer being by myself because I'm not responsible. I'm scared because I was hurt by you and it was stupid and I know it. Yet, I can't frigging let go of it, no matter what."

"I'm not simple. I'm accustomed to complicated and you're, not that. I have complications in my life that I can't allow you to be part of. I'm not worth it." She exhaled. It was the longest Ash ever heard her speak to him.

He sat in the wicker chair, a slight wide-eyed expression. Not sure how to process that.

He took a sip of his tea, taking a moment to collect himself.

"This is why I don't like to say anything." She mumbled, sinking herself lower and wrapping her arms around her leg, she turned away, looking over at the other side of the street.

"Serena." He chuckled. This girl was highly amusing. "You're selling yourself short." You think you're not worth it? Worth what? Being my partner? Being the person, I confide in? The one I look to when I have conflict in my life. You're not worth spending time with? Sharing a meal? Having a conversation with? It's not simple? Nothing is simple unless we make it simple."

"You're not even giving us a chance. How can you know the outcome? Take a risk." He said, grabbing her hand, looking at her with that boyish grin she hadn't seen in years.

"Ash," She sighed, 'There is so much you don't know about me."

" Then, allow me to." He responded. Simple.

"Do you feel I like being like this? I have reasons I'm this kind of person." Serena said, she tried to pull away her hand but he didn't let her. He gave her an annoyed look, stopping her from that nonsense. She conceded. Flipping her golden locks over her back, exposing the low negligée. He got lost in her creamy skin, zeroing in the small cluster of moles dotting her neck and chest. She smirked at him before taking a sip of her tea. She assumed he was looking at her breasts. He was.

He was such an animal for her.

"If you have reasons, tell me about it? Open your life to me? I promise I could do my best to understand. Tell me something I don't know about you."

She gave him a dry expression.

"I'm a porn star. I really love to be fucked in the ass with a dildo while you tell me dirty things about overhead lighting." She said, so seriously Ash believed her.
"WHAT!" Clutching his chest. He looked painfully confused.

"You're too easy." She waved him off, rolling her eyes at his dramatic behavior. He gave Serena a dirty expression.

"Don't joke like that." He said seriously. He got up and went into her face, encroaching her space and blocking her in her chair. "I already told you you're mine." He said petulantly, passing his hand in her hair tenderly, making her look at him. "I don't share."

"Ash." She rolled her eyes at him, pressing her hand on his shoulder, ignoring his words. She knew about the girl in white and the olive goddess. She didn't hope uselessly.

"Its reasons that can affect you." She exhaled. She was really opening herself here. He let go of her, choosing to lean against the concrete banister." I'm not sure I want to go through that. It's better if I keep to myself. That way, your life isn't disturbed or… or." She stopped. She sat up properly, pouring a new cup of hot tea, making an open sandwich to keep herself busy.

"My life is already affected by you, however." He said softly. "From the day, I saw you in Santulune's Gym, you were always involved with my life. You made me realize things about myself I never could imagine. I …" He made a sound before closing his eyes. He took a deep breath before exhaling.

"I don't feel like this, Serena." Ash pleaded. "I'm the last person who understands this feeling. I'm really dense when it comes to women and truly, women are the last thing I focus on. So, to me, making an effort like this, its new, foreign." He tried his earnest to reason with her. She could stare at him.

"Whatever is holding you back, let's push it aside. What can we do to make your reason not to be an issue?" He asked.

She looked at him, brisk. "I'm not yours." He was taken aback. Confused by her force.

"No matter who asks, who queries, who wonders what we are. We are not together for the world. We are not boyfriend and girlfriend. We don't know each other. We are not friends." She said forcefully.

"Why?" He asked, genuinely baffled by this. She shook her head.

"I am yours. You have me." She said softly, her heart beating. Her mind crashing at the declarations "I know this, you made me yours. For now, until I figure something out. We see each other here or by you. Our apartments are safe zones. The world can't touch us there. I can have you and… I get to have you for some time."

He hesitated. Not liking this at all.

"Serena, I don't understand." She got up as he processed this. She came closer to him. "I'm confused, I'm not allowed by you to be seen in public? We can't go out, we can't talk to people about us, I can't tell any of my friends we have you. Are you ashamed of me?" He said, his eyes showing his hurt. Her heart hurt seeing him like that. She embraced him. Hugging his huge body to her slightly petite own.

"I'm sorry." She whispered. "Ash, I'm not. I would love nothing more to be free to do as I please but, I can't take that risk. Especially with you. Please understand. Just, trust me." She hugged him tightly. Touching his back, shoulders, and chest.

"I promise, you get to have me." She placed his hands on her body, advancing on him, kissing his neck slowly. He was getting sucked in, feeling her soft, erotic body on him. He wanted her again.

He shook his head, clearing his mind.

He gently pushed her away.

"I don't want you for just your body or sex." He stated firmly. She looked confused. Isn't that what he wanted? He saw her face.

"Serena!" He asked in alarm. "Do you think that all of this is that?" He knew he wasn't making sense.

"Well…" He stared at her in horror. "I can't offer you anything else, Ash. You can still have your other girls. It's okay, I know about everything. This way, you can phase me out when you had your fix of me and-"

"WHAT!" He raised a bit. "What other girls? What?" He was genuinely baffled. "Fix? What?" He was processing. His head was hurting. She smiled at him innocently. Showing she understood.

"Serena, can you tell me, clearly, what you mean by this? What other girl?" He grabbed her shoulders, keeping her in place and focusing on him.

"You know, Lillie and the other one, the olive goddess, Mallow?" She told him. Resting her hands on his chest, giving him a small smile.

"You know about Mallow and Lillie?" He asked her, unsure.

"They are both gorgeous ladies. Very exotic looking." She smiled. "Isn't Lille your main one though? So, would she be your girlfriend? Betrothed? Is she your wife?"

It would be a big no-no if Lillie was his wife. Serena wasn't one to judge people and their relationships. Ash pursued her. Strong. She wasn't going to take blame for one's failed marriage. But she would try her best to explain to Ash she wasn't into married men.

Ash looked helplessly at her. He couldn't process her. Her questions. Was she serious?

She saw he was sweating? Did he think she was mad? She gave him a smile to reassure him. She was glad they were talking. It could really put Ash in the right direction.

"How? Where?" Ash babbled. "How do you know about Lille?"

She laughed. "I was taking a stroll a day," She gave him a side-eye, she would never tell him she stalked him. "and I happened to pass by Bonnie's building and saw you and her getting out. She must have finally joined you in Kalos. She had so much luggage that day." She remembered just a few moments before she peeled out of her parking space, she noticed some men carrying white luggage through the opening doors. "Also, is Mallow like your shareable? Sometimes with you and sometimes with Lillie? How does that work? She is really pretty. Have the three of you done the deed as well?"

Ash facepalmed. This girl was absolutely ridiculous. How could she be so wrong and right at the same time?

"Okay! Lillie is not my wife." He started. "Mallow isn't anything sexual to me-"

"Well, that's a relief, I was now going to convince you to fix your marriage instead of running around with other women an-" Ash covered her mouth. All the time she never spoke, and now, it was like she was an overflowing fountain of information and opinions. He was exasperated. He gave her a look of pure utter disbelief.

"Lille and Mallow are married! To each other!" He clarified. "They are two of my very good friends from Alola along with three of my other friends who are currently visiting." Her eyes met his and a stifled sound could be heard from behind his hand. "The five of them are currently staying in my Penthouse with me as I have the accommodations for them. Lille tends to overpack for her Nine Tales and for Mallow." He released her mouth and stood back.

Serena looked absolutely horrified. She looked like her brain was going around in circles. Little sirens could be seen around her head.

Serena was processing, then that meant Ash was truly, solely, after her. He had intentions for her alone. He was serious.

He was serious!

She was royally fucked in the chest in this moment. She was in deep. He won't leave her. He was never going to leave her. Shit was real. They had sex…

"Then how the fuck are you so good at sex?" She bolted out. Covering her mouth in shock as she didn't mean to say that. She was initially going to ask him what was his course of action, but Serena guessed priorities.

He gave her a deadpanned look. "I read."

Strangely, that was the most perplexing thing to Serena.

She needed a sip of water; she grabbed the pitcher and began to chug a glass filled down.

"Don't you understand? This is only for us. How could you tell me we need to keep quiet?" He asked. He looked at her, the sun making her hair glow and shine he noticed.

She glanced at him, sipping another glass of water. She took a deep breath of air. She chose to get some clarity.

"Let me see if I got this right." He quirked an eyebrow, his lips mashing together.

"You're single." He gave her an exasperated look. "You're solely interested in me…

"You're only having sex with me?" She gulped. He nodded slowly to her, a dubious look to his face.

"Y-you asked me if I was yours… making you only mines?" She whispered. He nodded once.

"Are you mine?" She asked, her voice going even fainter. He grabbed her, pushed her against the banister, caging her body with his. She couldn't run from him.

"Yes! Yes, to everything! You are mine. I am yours. We are in a relationship from now on! We are going to have long conversations, go out together. Make love, laugh, dance, enjoy life together until our relationship decides to evolve. You are my woman. No other man gets to fuck you, touch you, be with you." He said furiously, making her watch him with open eyes. The intensity of his feelings making it clear to her. Her heart was beating fast.

"Just," He took a sharp deep breath. "You have to trust me to love me, Serena." She took a deep breath. Love? How ridiculous. He could never love her she thought. He was in games.

"Ash-"

"Stop!" He shushed her. "Just, do me a favor. Before you ever make a decision, make a decision, please talk to me about it. Please, just take a minute, if that, and tell me your concerns. Could you do that for me?" He pleaded with her.

She hesitated, before nodding. He glared at her for a moment before releasing her. He turned to give himself a moment. He was frustrated in this moment. This woman was driving him insane.

She was so confusing. He really didn't understand why he wanted her. He was really considering to tell her goodbye. But his heart ached. He felt himself cool down. She had warned him.

She had let him know exactly how she was. She, herself was unsure about what to do.

This wasn't enough to him. He turned back to face her sharply, taking her off guard. He captured her face and sealed himself to her with a kiss.

It wasn't gentle. It wasn't nice.

It was needed. Desire and frustration.

He picked her up, her going with him, he led her back to the couch in her living room.

He sat down, making her straddle him. She never ended the kiss, whimpering as she sucked his tongue into her own. She was running her hands along his shoulders, breathing loud, broken and wet.

She began lightly dragging herself over him, the thin barrier of their clothes allowing him to feel her heat. Her want for him.

He pulled her nightie over, giving him access to her body, sucking her neck first. She stared at him, still dry humping him as he devoured her breasts, grabbing her ass, tasting every inch of skin he could get. Her hickeys driving him on. She whimpered, wanting to feel him, she got off of him, begging to pull off his pants. She pulled down her underwear, tossing it over her head. She didn't want foreplay, she just wanted him inside her, he could touch her all he wanted after.

She was back on him; she took firm grasp over him before sinking down. She gasped, turning to him and rolling her hips softly, firmly. She just wanted to feel him, getting lost in feeling completed. She covered her mouth then stuffing her knuckles into her mouth, biting down to stifle her moans, she looked up, watching her balcony, the sun was fully out, streaming softly into her dark apartment, noise could be heard outside, traffic, people and Pokémon. She looked down, Ash's eyes were on her, his eyes taking her in. She mashed down, grinding firmly now. Her face getting closer.

"You're mine?" She asked, her voice out of breath. The need and desperation for him in her tone.

"Yes." He gritted back to her.

"You only want me?" She asked, whispering in his ear, squeezing his shoulders in reaction.

"I only want you." He responded.

Slamming her down on him, the need for her, consuming his soul. He captured her lips, pulling on them, he moved his hand, gathering her hair around his hand, and anchoring her head near his, pulling on the strands deviously. She whimpered, pulses of pleasure rocking her core. "After today, you never question me on that again. We're for each other." He told her, grasping her hips, getting addicted to her moaning and deep breathing.

"Fuck." He swore. He moved then, pushing her down onto the cushion, opening her to him. He came face to face with her, slamming his body to hers, hard. Her voice was rising. She was moaning loudly. He did not care. She couldn't control herself. He couldn't either. Her body was fluid and receiving. It was open to him alone. He watched this beautiful creature below him, writhe in passion and pleasure. She was so beautiful to him. He couldn't get enough. He felt his heart hurt. He didn't understand his feelings. He was loving her, in a sick desperate way to understand. Her mind, body, and soul were his weakness. He would do anything for her. He would fight any battle for her. He would get the rarest Pokémon for her. He would cherish her. He had to keep her. No matter the challenge, he would have to keep her.

Tears. Tears were coming to her eyes. She didn't understand. She did not understand why she was feeling like this. She felt them pouring, she was looking at him. Her heart was aching. It was hurting her chest. She was holding him for dear life. She was gasping, crying and trembling.

She wanted to understand this feeling for him. She wanted to understand him.

He pressed on her once more, putting pressure on her pleasure nub. Strong shudders began to rack through her body. She sounded like she was choking. Her hands began to flare around, to brace, to secure, she didn't know. Her mind was flying, her body was shuddering and Ash was just looking at her, amazed at how her body was responding to him. He felt himself following her, he needed to ground out his passion, he couldn't help it, he saw her shoulder and bite down on her lightly, groaning, rasping as he felt himself release. He felt cross-eyed. He was seeing blurred and his eyes were spinning.

They were breathing harsh. Coming down from whatever the fuck was that. They stared at each other, disbelief on what they just felt.

She was tired and emotionally overloaded.

She couldn't help but embrace him, pulling him into the couch. Feeling her tears release. She felt so good. So relieved. She didn't understand him. She didn't understand them. Why was she so overwhelmed?

He didn't understand. His heart ached, seeing her like this. The tears. He didn't understand why he couldn't stay away from her. He was being consumed by her and he prayed to every God he ever knew and met; he wouldn't shatter because of her. He wouldn't spiral out of control if she were gone.

Neither of them in that moment could ever imagine love was so strong. So whole some.

Is Hate an Aphrodisiac? You're Not Sure? Find Passion to Find Out. Its Hate Stupid Cousin Next to Love Once Removed but Put Back

Ash was a sensible guy. Not really. He was always confused when it came to women…

Correction.

He was always confused when it came to Serena.

He scoffed to himself, amused with his own trails of thought. He sat in his kitchen, watching Mallow, Lillie, Bonnie and Lana chop up various vegetables and prepare other side dishes.

He observed Sophocles and Clemont trying to roast meat with some electrical device. He rolled his eyes at them after another explosion occurred. Thankfully, he had the girls get an extra one.

Kiawe was lost in Ash's Pokémon quarters. Crying over the various variants while checking out Ash's fire Pokémon. Ash chose not to disturb him.

Clemont observed his friend quietly sitting on a kitchen stool, drinking a glass of juice and not really paying attention to Lana make water balloons to wash the dishes or that Mallow was making his favorite croquette sandwiches. He saw Ash partially listen to Lille talk about something while she prepared salads.

It was a very noisy affair in Ash's penthouse. Everyone was in a good mood, talking about various things they did during the day while everyone came together to prepare a meal. There was so much food, Ash knew he had to go to the market.

The Alolans last night was here, after a few weeks of heavy travel, fun, excitement and adventure. He was happy he actually got to show his friends around while having Bonnie and Clemont help him when needed.

The doorbell rang.

Everyone halted their movements.

Bonnie even counted around to ensure everyone was here. She quirked an eyebrow, watching as Ash got up and headed to the door.

The door opened to reveal a Pikachu, bouncing on Ash before scampering to where Pikachu laid playing with the other Pokémon.

Serena stood by the entrance, dressed in loose jeans, a short, loose t-shirt and tennis shoes, a box in her hand and a nervous expression. Her hair was neatly braided with some flowers stuck in them. Her face seemed a bit flush as if she was in some heat.

Bonnie was confused. This was the first time She and Clemont had even heard of her in a few weeks since the party.

Serena had been MIA and Ash never said a word about her and what happened that night. Was this the first time he was seeing Serena as well? Bonnie knew they were broken up. (even if they weren't in a relationship)

Since the night of his exhibition match, he seemed very reserved. His mind very far and only had detailed conversations about Citronic Enterprises or battling and training.

It was also intriguing as he had rushed out into the night and didn't bother to come back until very late in the evening. He was spent and just wanted to sleep, leaving his friends to have a fun night with Bonnie and Clemont.

He never spoke of Serena. Bonnie and Clemont didn't have the nerve to ask.

She had a suspicion something was up with Serena, like she was in trouble but she couldn't figure it out.

She was worried

Serena had a serious expression on her face as she greeted Ash. (the usual expression) She spoke cautiously and direct to him, looking ready to bolt any second. He heard a noise in the background. He glanced around, noticing all his friends watching. He gave an exasperated expression to Lillie and Mallow who both had giant glittering eyes, barely able to contain themselves as Ash gave them the cut it out expression. They were positively giddy at finally seeing Serena once again. Serena was peering around him, a confused expression on her face, at least she understood the two ladies were married to each other and not Ash. He turned around before gently coaxing her outside, closing the door behind him, firmly. Everyone, (where did Kiawe come from?) pounced on the door, Sophocles on top of Kiawe while Lana tried to use a glass bubble from Primarina to listen closely.

There was muffled noise. It was very soft. It was silent for a long time after that, everyone straining to hear something. Then all of a sudden, the door flew open and everyone tumbled down and rolled their way out the door, a surprised Ash and Serena not knowing what to do. Everyone stopped when they came in contact with the hall wall before casually jumping up.

Smooth.

Serena shook her head before calling for 'Pichu,' her faithful Pikachu jumping on her before turning around to leave.

"Serena!" Bonnie hastily called. "Aren't you going to stay for dinner?" She halted. Ash scoffed.

"Bonnie." He said tiredly. "I already offered. She doesn't want to." He didn't say it with any emotion but Bonnie realized they had a conversation. He held the box Serena bought in his arm, a patient expression on his face.

"But I think we all would like you to." Clemont said, seeing Serena was going to decline. She gave him a soft smile.

"I appreciate the offer but I only came because Ash asked me to get some special Poke Puffs for his friends from Alola to try. It was just a delivery." She said lightly, trying hard to escape. "I don't want to intrude."

"Nonsense!" Lille said outright. Everyone looked at her with wide eyes. She was usually very reserved.

"Yes," Lana agreed. She came up in front of Serena, grabbing her smooth hands, "we've made a feast for our last night in Kalos, Miss Yvonne. We want you to come and at least spend one evening with us." Serena had a Stantler in headlights expression. Ash could only give her a helpless look, he tried. But he wasn't going to step in. He wanted Serena here. He couldn't help but stare at her. How beautiful she looked even if she was casual.

Mallow came up behind her. "Yes, its agreed, we only heard of you since now, let's have some fun." With that, Mallow, Lille, and Lana encased the Pokémon performer in a cage of arms and walked her into Ash's penthouse with ceremony, talking and giggling amongst each other.

She glanced at Ash, he only shrugged. He wasn't going to object. She was on her own.

Dinner was a boisterous affair. Loud, exciting, and filled to the peak with laughter, joy and jokes. Ash was laughing heartily with Kiawe. Talking about battling and fire seeping through them as they continued to challenge them. The Pokémon were eating heartily next to the table. Everyone roaring with delight.

Bonnie was infatuated with Lana, going into deep conversations about the concept of ride Pokémon and the various routes of land, sea, and air. Mallow was talking Serena's ear off on the various ways to make croquette sandwiches while Lille. Well, Lillie wasn't saying anything, instead, she was staring at Serena like she was a dream come through. She had small sparkles around her aura as she listened to Serena respond shyly to something Mallow paused to hear her response.

Serena was sandwiched between Mallow and Lille. Swiveling her head to keep up with their opinions on certain things.

Ash sat opposite Serena, watching her discreetly as he spoke to Kiawe. She (as usual) didn't give anything away with her expressions. Always the performer.

She sat neatly, her face ever straight as she took small bites of her meal. She would often glance at him. A moment, just barely her eyes would take him in and resume her attention.

He got up, startling Clemont, before going to get the box Serena brought.

He made his way to the Pokémon, giving all the Alolan Pokémon a rare treat of a Kalosian culture. The Pokémon were delighted and began to react excitedly. Pikachu was especially excited after he had taken his first bite.

"What are you giving them, Ash?" Kiawe asked, getting up and observing Turtonator, the turtle Pokemon was happily munching on three Pokepuffs.

Ash chuckled before finishing up and carrying them back to the dining table.

"Poke Puff!" He said, grinning. "A treat given to Pokémon in the Kalos region."

"You mean you guys haven't tried it as yet?" Bonnie asked watching them in disbelief. The crew could only look at the lemon blonde.

Serena had a hint of a smile, taking a small bite off her fork. She giggled when she saw 'Pichu" excitedly eating one.

"Have one." Ash offered his friends, passing the box, not before taking three for himself.

Everyone took one and not too long after they were moans of appreciation.

Serena felt herself blushing at the feedback.

"These are amazing!" Lana raved, feeding one to her Vaporeon, Sandy. The Pokémon hummed in delight.

"Where did you get these?" Sophocles asked. "These give Malasadas competition.:

"Serena." He stated, quietly. Curiosity got the best of everyone.

"Wait," Bonnie interrupted the silence. "Serena! That's true, you and Miette used to make Poke Puffs like crazy." Recalling faint memories of them trying her treats in Poke Centres and many lunches in the country. Serena blushed once more. "Did you make these?"

"I did." She agreed. She continued her meal after that, glancing at Ash as he ate one, resuming a conversation with Sophocles.

She sighed, listening to Mallow ask her how to make it, trying her best to keep up with the speedy conversations. She was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of attention she was getting from the ladies and she was a Pokémon Performer. Deep down, she was glad she was here.

She felt safe.

Never Play Alolan Poke with Kiawe

The Alolans were out. Ash was shaking his head at his passed-out friends. Clemont had a white flag in his hand, passed out on Ash's love seat, Bonnie laying on top him, dizzy eyes in her face, a smile.

They had an intense game with too much Pokémon, too many attacks, too much laughter, and too much Z moves from the Alolans.

The last one had been from Snowy which placed everyone in a temporary ice cube. The towel was thrown in after everyone collapsed and didn't get up. Too exhausted to move, talk.

Serena sat, watching confused as one minute everyone was lively and now completely out of it.

She shook her head, got up and headed over to where Clemont and Bonnie laid, dropping a kiss each on them before grabbing her satchel and heading out.

She tried to be discreet but Ash saw her and like a Pikachu with agility, followed her one time.

He caught her just outside the door.

"Leaving without saying anything to me?" He asked. She was startled, turning around to face him.

"I didn't do it for spite." She explained. "I'm still trying to get accustomed." She said. She didn't even realize it but she went forward to him, wanting his warmth. Taking his embrace willingly. If he was shocked by her actions, he didn't let on. They stayed in the hug, relaxing for the first time for the evening. Just enjoying each other's company.

"Thank you for the Poke Puffs but I thought you were going to order them." He looked down at her, questioning her eyes. "It was last minute when I recalled everyone from Alola never tried Poke Puffs; I knew you knew the bakery that made them fresh. Why did you prepare them yourself?" He asked.

She twisted out of his embrace, feeling shy, he didn't allow her, holding her tight. He warned her with a glance and she relented. She sighed dramatically however and gently slammed her head into his shoulder, mumbling something.

"What was that?" He asked, a bit amused at her. He tightened his hold around her waist.

"I said!" Again, dramatically. "I had the ingredients and well- I kindawantedtomakeitfor you." She said so quickly he had to squint to understand her. A gorgeous smile grew on his face, beaming down at her.

"Really?" he said excitedly "I haven't had your Poke Puffs in years! I knew it was yours the moment I tasted it. You don't know how hard I had to keep my face straight just to not say how AMAZING they were." He told her excitedly. She smiled.

"Thank you for that." He said in gratitude. Kissing her forehead in appreciation. She mashed her lips, a nervous smile to her face…

"Well," she said, extending out the word, Ash quirked an eyebrow, instantly suspicious. "The other reason for making them is also so I could soften you up to tell you something." Briefly, she saw reservation and hidden fear in his eyes. She hugged and gave him a soft kiss on his lower chin to best assure him.

"I have to…" She took a deep breath. "I'm producing an album." Ash squinted; not clear why she was telling him this. She gave him a sweet smile. "It's for Abel…"

"And, I start tomorrow."

Ash released her. Taking a sudden step back

He blinked for a bit.

He couldn't very well tell her no. It wasn't his place. That was Serena's career. Whilst yes, he owned her mind, body, and soul…

He didn't own her.

And he would never be the person to prevent someone from achieving their dreams.

But The singer! Out of Everyone?

He never broke eye contact from her, despite him processing.

"Okay." He said. He scratched the back of his neck, glancing around the hallway.

Her eyes opened wide, not expecting Ash to keep his cool. He did tend to fly off the handle when it came to Abel. Actual, only with it concerned Abel and Serena he lost his shit. Even she understood that.

Maybe Ash didn't realize she would be in a small, cramped studio with Abel and his crew who had a reputation of being very no-nonsense, dark and not the usual company she kept. She still didn't understand why Abel was insistent she produce along with him an album of this caliber and mainstream. It was a huge pressure on her shoulders. He is a multi-platinum music artiste.

Miette assured Serena she approved of Abel's choices and gave her the green light.

The XY crew, on the other hand, were some of Abel's closest, longest friends in life. She briefly remembered them in the underground music portal before she hit mainstream. They had gone through many hardships in life together, from being nearly homeless, being homeless, struggling, fighting for their lives, unsure of how they could take care of their Pokémon and constantly battling if to give up and go home.

With that reality, she didn't want to make Ash aware of exactly how much of a transition this would be. Like she said, she was sunshine and daisies; Abel was sex, drugs and darkness.

She was still finding herself and didn't need outside forces to change her mind. Far less allow her to forget the risk and go back to being comfortable.

It was just something she was afraid and excited at the same time.

She realized she had gotten lost in her mind once again, she focused once more, seeing Ash deep in thought.

"Ash? She called; her voice soft. He looked at her. His eyes clouded but he gave her a smile.

"Good luck tomorrow, alright?" He responded. He reached across, grabbing her waist before pulling her into a hug.

"Goodnight, Serena." He said softly into her hair. "Text me when you get home." He immediately released her before giving her a small smile. She glanced at him before nodding. She pulled out her poke ball before releasing her Pikachu. With that, they turned around and left, Ash watching her until she arrived at the elevator.

He closed his eyes briefly once she disappeared and exhaled. Going back into his apartment, he threw some blankets on his friends before heading to his room with Pikachu, ready for bed.
