Sorry for my bad English.
I'm sorry if I delayed the uploads in the fiction. I recently got a new notebook powerful enough to run some games that I wanted to play make a while now, I and lost the track of time while playing some of them. I will try upload more often and not lose myself playing videogames so much.
Beacon
Corridors
Cardin was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed as he waited for Elihas to leave Oobleck's classroom, which was a surprise to anyone who know him.
The tiger was once again sleeping during the doctor's lecture, which made Oobleck mad and told him to stay after the class is done for a scolding, something that he can relate. No one can blame the tiger for sleeping, except that he sleeps all the time.
When he saw the green blur moving out from the classroom, Cardin knew that the scolding was over and soon, Elihas passed through the doors while yawning.
-So, must I give the welcome for the newest member of Dr. Oobleck's sleeping students? -Cardin asked.
-Maybe. -Elihas answered before began to walk as he asked. -What do you want?
-Why are you assuming I want something? -Cardin asked following him.
-I thought you didn't wanted to waste time with animals. -Elihas answered with hands on his pockets.
Seeing Cardin follwing Elihas made their classmates eye them with curiosity, knowing what Winchester think about the faunus, but they know that not even him is dumb enough to try make the tiger mad. Not after what happened to Copper.
Yet there he was, walking alongside him, and talking. But they ignored them and keep with their conversation.
-Fine. Why are you here?
-At the moment I'm walking back to my dorm after receive a scolding from the good doctor.
-Don't play dumb with me. You know what I mean.
-I know, but it is easy to ignore.
-So you prefer to ignore your problems?
-No, I get rid of them.
Get rid of them. Cardin remember when the tiger said that to him. After he heard that he kill someone, Cardin immediately conected this person with those words. Someone was being problematic to Elihas and the faunus had to get rid of him. Elihas is problematic, that Cardin knows, but why study in Beacon? What reason he would have for stay in the academy? It don't seems that he is interested in becoming a huntsman.
He can understand some reasons from his classmates, even from his teammates, maybe except for him. To be honest he had no intention of becoming a huntsman, he was in Beacon only because... Cardin chuckled.
And Elihas noticed.
-What so funny? -He asked.
-I just founding ironic.
-Ironic?
-That we actually have something in common.
-That we both are animals? Except that tigers are felines while gorilas are primates.
Cardin ignored his insult and asked straight.
-Who asked you to come here?
Elihas stopped his walk.
*Flashback*
Elihas was already very inteligent for a boy of his age.
So much that he already discover some concepts of power, and found ironically. Someone can have all the power of Remnant and in just one instant, he lose everything with just one word or a action from someone. The same could be said about influence. Ironic because he can lose something he took years to have with just single action, being big or small.
-I don't think I heard you well. -Elihas' father spoke. -What did you just said?
-I say I leaving you. -Elihas' mother answered with a firm tone, despite shaking a bit. -And I'm taking Elihas with me.
His answer for her remark was chuckle as if he heard some pit joke. As the white haired man approached, she could not help but take a step back.
-Just who do you think you are? -Elihas' father asked as he approached her. And Star knew that was a trick question, those what don't have a right answer so she remained silent as Kelpie continued. -I made you a question woman, so answer me. -But he wouldn't allow her ignore him.
-I don't need to answer you.
-Oh really? -Now Kelpie was face to face with her, with Star's back against the wall. -So when the man of the house wants you to talk, you decide to go against his orders and hold your tongue? Why this not happened when I teach that daughter of yours a lesson for her misbehavior? Or when I kicked your idiotic son from my house?
-You had no right to expel him from this house-gah!
-I have all the rights over that moron once I became his father! -Kelpie shouts as he holds Star by her hair, then come his hand to her face and Star found herself on the floor, tears falling from her eyes. -I have all the rights to teach that little bitch a lesson for not show me the respect I deserve! -He shouts as he stomped her face on the wooden floor. -And if you thinkt that you can tell that you will just walk around and telling everyone that I let you go, then probably I should teach you who is the one in charge here! -Then come again his feet to her face as she covered her face with her arms in a desperate attempt to protect herself.
If Kelpie was not so focused in his wife, he would have notice his only child with Star seeing the scene and then run to the basement.
That scene was the end of it. He can mistreat his brother. He can mistreat his sister. But not her. Not his mother! This nightmare ends today!
-I thought everyone in this house, you would be the one I wouldn't need to remind you of one thing! -Kelpie shoved his foot on Star's blonde hair as he continued. -You! Belong! to Me! Everyone in this house belongs to me! -He knee and grabbed the woman by her hair and whispered. -Say it.
-N-no... -Star refused, knowing that if she say, she will never escape him.
-Say! It!
-No...
-Say it! You belong to me!
-N-no... I won't...
-Your little...

-GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF HER!
Both adults turned around and were surprise to see Elihas with Star even more surprised to see her younger son with the weapon that once belonged to her late husband.
And he was pointing it to Kelpie.
It was the first time Cardin made Elihas silent.
The tiger did not moved a muscle once the question was made, and seemed that he was deep in his thoughts. Cardin didn't know if he make him anger and knew that could not defend himself from him, but decide to give a try and go deep in the tiger's mind, even if means send him to the infirmary, or the hospital. After what seemed a hour, Elihas turned around to face Cardin.
-What are you talking about? -He asked.
-I know you make a month already, and I can see very well one thing. You have no wish to become a huntsman, if you lack of yearn to learn means anything.
-And since you know very well about this, you think I'm going through the same thing?
-You can say that. -Cardin said with a shrug. -The truth about me is, I don't care about this huntsman thing. You may have notice that I was always the type who do whatever I want, without regard of those around me. I make my own path through my life and if someone is in my way, I just push him out of my path. Sounds familiar?
It sounded familiar to Elihas. Is the same thing with the tiger who get rid of anything that is making him anger.
-So I assume that someone asked for you to come to Beacon?
-Forced actually. My family name automatically makes me an exemplary huntsman, or so my parents thought.
-You don't seems the type who want to proud the family name.
-The worst is, they want to make a family name. Make the Winchesters known around the Remnant as a family of proud huntsmen, something I don't care.
-And different from you, I would have said no.
-But I said. I said over and over.
-Yet here you are.
If the tiger was trying to anger Cardin, it was almots working. Getting his nerves back and sighing deeply, Cardin continued.
-You know? You did not denied my statement.
-Yes... I didn't. -Getting caught, Elihas decide to admit the little defeat of their argument and open the game. -My mother asked me to come here after I got myself in a fight with a professor from my old school.
-You got in a fight with a professor? He is from a huntsmen school?
-More like a gym teacher if you asked me.
-And why you attacked him?
-Why are you assuming that I attacked him?
-Because so far, I never see you verbally ofending a teacher here in Beacon.
-Point for you. The man used to hate my kind, so he used to always do worst with me. But I always succeed in anything he make me do, resulting in frustration from his part. Until one day for one he lost control and called me by the way my brother used to.
Cat boy. Cardin remember that was the reason the pummeled Copper.
-And what this has to do with you here in the academy?
-My mother decide that my temper would soon become a problem for me, and she thought that the place that teaches the huntman who once she married could help me with self-control problem.
-Therapy could help too, you know?
-It didn't help after I killed that man, and would not help me if I continued.
-Yeah, the kill. And... who was the guy?
-Why do you want to know?
-I don't know myself.
-So it is not important.
With the conversation done, Elihas turns around and walk away from one of his "friends".
But both of them forget something while they were talking, that their classmates were all around, and listening.
End of the chapter.
And it seems that the secret was revealed through the flashback. But I'm sure that some of you already knew right? The "father who hurt his family" thing is something I wanted to make a while, and witht his fic I found the opportunity.
Next time, Luke will make an appearance.
See you next time!
