"Holy shit, we're finally done!" Namika said as she laid on the floor with anime tears of happiness. And this was the hard part of her job. Taking pictures of some overwhelmingly pretty person then having to stare at them long as she sent them to her older sister because they had a deal. Anyway, Erika quietly walked over to her.
"Nami-san, are you alright?" Erika crouched down next to Namika's head. "You seem overwhelmed."
Namika glanced back up at her and then slammed her head into the ground. "Nooooooo! I feel like shit!" She yelled getting some stares from everyone around them. "Aya-san, if you met someone who is pretty but a egotistical bastard, what would you do to them?" Erika looked at her in shock and sweat dropped.
"I-I'm not really sure, Nami-san... If that's what's bothering you, I suppose do what you only can do. Just... try to move with your life."
Namika looked up at Erika and then stood up. "Yeah... I suppose you're right." She extended her hand out. "Thanks for helping out." She smiled. Erika slowly took her hand and stood up.
"You're welcome Nami-san! When you're done working, then how about we have lunch together." Erika smiled back.
"Oh, sure. " Namika let go of her hand. They both walked off in their own directions. She got to a small room with a computer on a desk and a sofa against the left wall. She threw her jacket onto the small sofa and sat down with a sigh and got to work. By work, I mean she was looking through her photos and making sure they weren't shit. Her office was like a small cube with no door, just an doorway but it gave her enough arm space to work and a relaxing place to sulk. Everything was painful since the last thing she wanted to think about was this supposed protagonist. "Move on with my life... Move on with my life. Move on with my life! MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE! MOVE ON WITH MY FUCKING LIFE!" She yelled trying harder to just... FORGET! Just forget about... him! But she was caught out of her frenzy once her phone rang that same tune it always had. It was Akimi again.
"Aki Onee-chan, I'm at work." Namika grumbled. Akimi let out a loud laugh and Namika pulled the phone away from her ear. "Jeez, you laugh so loud everyone will hear you."
"Namika-chan! You don't have to use formalities! You sound like you're sucking up to me!" Akimi whined. Loudly. She talks, laughs, and yells very loud all the time in the phone. Everyone in the studio could probably hear it.
"Shut up! Anyway, why the fuck did you call me? I am a busy person!" Namika growled back at Akimi. Akimi laughed again, loud as always.
"I was wondering if you had the photos! Oh, and who is it that you met today! Please tell me they're pretty!" Namika was sighing once again and didn't notice the male walk past her office doorway but then walk back and stopped right in front of it.
"Ugh, don't remind me. And one second, I'm making sure they aren't shit right now." She actually didn't have to do much. The photos were fine it's just some looked like that had horrible lighting which is weird but it happens. "Kay, sending them in." She started putting them into her email to her sister one by one. Akimi was babbling her mouth off and Namika was internally and probably externally sighing.
"Oi, what are you doing?" The male said behind her. Namika slammed her phone down onto her desk and looked behind her. Of course, it was the person she dreaded to see.
"Holy shit! Is that Saijou Takato!?" Akimi yelled into the phone and both Namika and Takato could hear her. "You didn't tell me it was-" Namika picked her phone up again and hit the end call button multiple times until she hung up. Her nerves were shot through the roof. She turned her swivel chair around to face the male and she crossed her legs.
"Oh, you're still here..." She said with a smile, although it was completely fake and anyone could see that. "And that is none of your business." She placed her elbow on her knee and her head in her hand. She tilted her head with the same smile. Takato stared at her with a furrowed brow and his arms crossed. Well, of course it wasn't his business but he was going to make it his business. He agreed to have photos taken of him of this magazine publishing company and now this... woman with a supposed friend who talks as loud as hell is asking to send her photos. I'm pretty sure anyone would call that suspicious. Also after the incident with Jiro Hasegawa... let's simplify this to say that he wasn't taking any chances.
"Right, you're judging me." She said with her true scowl appearing on her face. She stood up from her chair. She shot him glare, showing her true colors. Spite, hatred, bitterness. This wasn't her. She got along with almost everyone she met. Why did she hate this man so much...?
"Well, I have lunch eat and a reason to avoid you." She said as he just listened to her. She walked past him but then stopped in her tracks behind him. He turned around as she gave him a shaft head tilt with a grin. "So please, never talk to me again. You second place, egotistical bastard." She turned her head back at him and walked back to her right. He was about to say something until his manger, Takumi Sasaki, came in. "Good work, Takato-kun. Ready to go?" he said with a smile. Takato furrowed his brow and just nodded.

"Bastard!" Namika screamed and pounded her fist against the table. "If I see him again, I swear to god I'm going to slam my head against the table!" Erika and Daishin nervously laughed and ate quietly as their friend/coworker just rambled on about how she hated this guy she just found out about. Truly strange indeed. Namika had a tendency to dislike certain people that were pretty well known but this was worse than usual.
"I-I thought you moved on with your life... O-o-or that's what you said." Erika nervously said. Namika just pounded her fist against the table again and angry ate her food.
"That's what I thought too! But then that egotistical bastard over heard my conversation with Aki Onee-chan... Ugh, the formalities really have a bad taste in my mouth." She swallowed her food and took another bite. "Whatever. Anyway, he over heard my conversation and his judgmental eyes just wanted me to hate him even more. So all I want to do is go home, blast my music, and" she swallowed and clinched her teeth. "FUCKING FORGET THAT ASSHOLE!" She stood up, and hit the table once more, almost flipping it.
"Calm down..." Daishin sighed, just picking up his plate and holding it in his hand. He has basically given up on the table. Erika also did since Namika was probably going to flip it. "And besides, you're not out of the woods yet. your sister called. She wanted you to do her a favor."
Namika sat down with a sigh and took a last bite of food. "What is it now? Couldn't she have called me herself? And besides, I'm not her little errand girl. Whatever it is, she can do it herself."
"N-Nami-san, isn't she your sister? You should help!" Erika said with a smile.
"Yeah yeah yeah." Namika sighed. "I'll call her back. Besides, every favor I do for her is usually easy enough for me." She got up peacefully and started walking out. "If it's alright, I shall be looking over my schedule and working. See ya!" She walked out the room.
"Dai-kun..." Erika murmured. "W-what are we going to do if he or anyone else gets involved? What if something happens? W-what if... What will happen if the situation gets worse and he- they're involved?" Daishin let out a sigh and taking a last bite of his food.
"If he or anyone else gets involved then we can't do anything about that anymore... Namika-chan should know what she's doing. We should trust in her ability to look after this universe. And if she was right and telling the truth about this world, we should hope nothing too bad happens." He forced a smile. "After all, this is only a yaoi and slice of life world. Nothing too bad can happen." Oh, it seems Namika told them... if she would like to make her job harder, so be it.
~Time Skip~
"Good work, Nami-san!" Erika gave Namika a smile as she walked out the buliding.
"Thanks!" Namika yelled back and started to call her sister. If Akimi's favor was hard, she didn't even plan on doing it. She was already tired from work and just wanted to go home.
"Ah, finally returning my call~! I had to call Daishin because you decided to just turn your phone off~" Akimi giggled a bit, which made Namika want to punch her in the face.
"What the fuck do you want? I'm tired and I want to go home and eat some ramen." Namika's eyebrow twitched from annoyance. Don't get it wrong, her sister and her are very close. It was just that Akimi could be a pain in the ass at times. But then again, they both are extroverted so that's probably why they get along so well.
"Right~! I need you to stop by Nitto Performing Arts and gather some data for me!" Akimi said. "Basically it's for work~ And I'm already at home. I'm not going back out in the cold just for this."
Namika clinched her teeth. "Eh!? Cold!? It's just a bit chilly! And what kind of favor is this!? It's your job! You do it!" Namika started slipping on her jacket as she walked out the door with the strap of her camera around her neck. She may as well hang up on her dear older sister.
"Ah, but it's really important~ And I'd like to keep my job for now~ You just need to interview Hanabusa Kinue! Which she's the president of Nitto Performing Arts. I already texted you all the questions to ask and you just have to do that! Now I shall be heading to bed~! Email me the data and then you can do whatever you want! Bye~!" She hung up before Namika could yell back at her.
"Damn... how annoying." She said while putting her phone into her jacket pocket. She walked up next to the road again, stopping a taxi in front of her. She opened the door and sat herself down in the back seat. "Nitto Performing Arts, please." Her drive was nice at least. She calmed herself down so she wouldn't punch the first person she saw once she got out of the cab. The cab parked in the the parking-lot and she got out with her confidence back up at max. She pulled her phone out again and started texting Daishin and Erika on a group chat while she started walking toward the front door.
She walked past a guy leaning on a car near the front door. She didn't pay much attention to it. What she didn't realize was the male looking up from his own phone and seeing Namika walk past him. He pushed himself off his car and walked toward her. "Nami-chan, what are you doing here?" the male asked. Namika stopped in her tracks, clinching her fist.
'God, how annoying. I have no time for this.' She thought. She stuck her phone back into her jacket pocket, giving herself sometime to think. "How the fuck do you know my name?! If you have been following me I swear to god I will—" she turned around to this man. Her words caught in her throat. "Kick your ass..." she muttered, her mind racing. 'No way... Not here, not now. Why—'
"Oh my god, Junta-kun!" She smiled happily, striding up to him she was now standing right in front of him, still holding a smile. "I am so sorry! I'm in a bit of a stressed mood..." she nervously laughed.
"Nami-chan, it's alright." He said with a smile. "I don't mind your yelling." You see, Namika and Junta knew each other because of a job they both had at the same time. They became friends but they slowly started talking less to each other until recently.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were busy with—" Namika cut herself off when she heard the door behind her open. She looked behind her and all that anger came back to her.
"Good work, Takato-san." Junta smiled as Takato looked up from his phone. They both stood in silence...
"You're that wannabe photographer who insulted me today!" Takato yelled at her. She clinched her teeth and fist while stepping forward.
"Well, you deserve it!" she argued back. "You're just some actor who is narcissistic as hell!"
"Eh!? Narcissistic?! What even gives you the right to call me that!?" They argued back and forth. I guess they give to the meaning of the chapter name...
"Oh, do you both know each other?" You know that face that Junta makes when he's confused? Yep that's the one. Look it's hard to describe moments when it's just typing something out!
"Sadly, yes..." they both said coldly to each other. They stood silently for a bit, waiting for either someone to throw the next insult or just for someone to back away. But Namika and Takato are both very competitive people. If you thought they were going to back down, you'd be wrong. "Um... Takato-san—" Junta tried to break the atmosphere but Namika cut him off herself.
"You two get going. I'm going inside anyway." she pointed to the door. "It was nice to see you in person again, Junta-kun. See ya." She gave them both a happy smile and then walked inside.
They both stood silently outside till Takato broke the silence between them both. "Let's get going." he sighed and got into the passenger's seat. Junta was brought out of his thoughts from his lover's voice. "Ah, right!..." he said, getting into the driver's seat and they started driving off to Junta's apartment. Again, dead silence.
"How do you know her?" Takato broke the silence again but barely.
"Um..." Junta nervously started. I think the thing with writing both these characters are hard because they are Japanese. So it looks weirder because it's in English and we see English. "Nami-chan and I used to work together." he nervously laughed.
Meanwhile with Namika, walking down the hallway. "What's so special about that narcissistic bastard?" she was just talking to herself, letting her frustrations out. "Obviously, I'm not judging anyone's preference on love but he's such an asshole, I have no idea what's special about him."
While Namika was getting on in the elevator, Takato was frustrated as well as he stared out the window. And even if they weren't close to each other, in sync they both made a tch noise. I think they both know that they'd meet again. It's common for a universe like this for them to see each other again.
"Next time, I won't lose to her/him" They said at the same time.
To Be Continued...
Damn this took me a month. While the story will progress as a normal slice of life, things will get more interesting as we go along. And more of my OCs will be introduced. While Takato and Namika have obvious hate for each other, they are in sync. I have 7 OCs and there are seven characters are in Dakaichi. So I will probably sync up all my OCs with the other seven characters that are in the intro sequence where it shows all seven of them. Which are Takato, Junta, Ayagi, Narumiya, Sasaki, Usaka, and Arisu. Why are they all males? This is a yaoi, duh. I definitely don't want to seem like I'm over doing these parts though. If you remember, it says that these parts are a Fate Grand Order crossover with Dakaichi. While I can't disclose what I plan to do because it'll be a spoiler, I can say the FGO side of things will show itself in chapter 8. But anyway, I'm going off the ANIME and NOT THE MANGA for many reasons. Obviously, I own only my characters. Geez, this'll be a ride.
