Well, I've already fallen way behind again, but here's another chapter for you.
Day 18: Home
"Are you excited to go home?" Remus asks him at the end of first year and Sirius shrugs and looks away. Remus frowns, but he doesn't press further. He's heard Sirius complain about his parents, but he gets the feeling what he's heard is just the tip of the iceberg.

"Happy to be going home for the summer?" Frank Longbottom asks cheerily at the end of Sirius' second year and Sirius scowls.
"Whatever," he mutters and stalks away as Frank looks after him in confusion.

"I can't wait to get home and sleep in my own room," Regulus remarks at the end of Sirius' third year. He glances at his brother, "What about you?"
Sirius rolls his eyes, "I'm going to go find my friends." Regulus sighs as he watches his brother walk off. It's Sirius' own fault that he has such a bad time at home, he thinks, he's always picking fights with their parents.

"Excited to go home, Black?" a Ravenclaw Sirius knows only slightly asks as they pass each other on the train at the end of his fourth year.
"About as excited as I would be to eat a tub of Bubotuber pus," Sirius answers with a sarcastic smirk and all the other boy can do is blink at him.

"I expect you're all eager to leave school and get home for the holidays," Flitwick says cheerily at the end of the last Charms class of their fifth year.
Sirius snorts under his breath and exchanges a look with James.
That summer, Sirius only lasts two weeks before he leaves his parents' house for good.

"Happy to be going home for the holidays, boys?" the trolley witch asks at the end of Sirius' sixth year, and a genuine smile spreads across Sirius' face as he answers, "Definitely."
