Chapter 16: Lee VS Noire

Okabe signalled for everyone to gather in the centre of the recreation room.

'It's time for a round table meeting!' Okabe exclaimed. The CPUs and CPU Candidates were clearly exasperated at his words...well all except for one.

'Woohoo! What is this now? The 222nd?' Neptune excitedly asked.

'It is-'

'Damn it! Just say whatever it is you wanna say!' Blanc interrupted Okabe and glared at him.

'...Fine…' Okabe sighed. Subaru raised his hand.

'Are we not going to wait for your friends to return?' He asked. Okabe shook his head.

'They are already clued up on what I'm about to say. Furthermore, I don't know when they will return.' Ruby had a look of surprise.

'Why?' She asked.

'Well, my friends were initially on a mission to obtain some supplies. However, mid-way in the mission, they went missing. The last time the cameras caught them was when Kurisu and Mayuri split up from the main group, probably to cover more ground.' Okabe explained.

'So you have a team for those two...what about the other group?' Kazuma asked now that he had finished spanking Darkness because she suddenly demanded Kazuma for it. The rest tried not to look at Darkness who was gasping and laying on the floor behind Kazuma.

'We already have another group on it.' Blanc answered. Kazuma nodded as he then rested his head on Megumin's small shoulder and nuzzled into her neck.

'So what're you gonna say?' Yang asked excitedly. Okabe sighed as he switched the visualiser on and on the screen, pages of a document was seen.

'Project: Worlds' Highest Order?' Ruby recited the words on the cover page. Okabe then clicked the remote he was holding, causing the document to flip.

'As you can see, Project: Worlds' Highest Order is a project from 50 years ago that is designed to turn the humans of this world, known as the Wingless Ones, into the gods of the many worlds in existence.' Okabe gave a quick summary of the lengthy first few pages.

The listeners had varied expressions.

'For some reason, the Wingless Ones discovered other worlds when they were testing a time machine they made. It seemed that due to certain flaws in their time machine, they somehow ended up making a machine capable of traversing worlds.' Okabe continued.

Yang's hands began shaking.

'Traversing worlds? What the hell!' She roared. Ruby placed a hand on Yang's back to calm her down.

'However, the machine only worked once before breaking. Thus, the Wingless Ones began kidnapping the Winged Ones, who are basically humans with wings. Using more of their machines, they created artificial wings to use in order to ensure they have power. Then, using certain wings, they managed to power the machine so that it can work more than once.'

'How do you know all this?' Rem asked with a narrowed eye.

'Well, four years ago, Runtarou here got himself kidnapped by the artificial wing people who realised our plans to make a time machine to go back in time and stop them. They were planning to kill him but we stopped the guy in time and read his mind, thus learning about one of their labs and we raided it like treasure hunters!' Neptune explained as she bent down in front of Rem, staring into her eyes with a smirk.

'So you have a mind reader…' Megumin deadpanned.

'Uh huh!' Neptune stood up and laughed. She then pointed to herself.

'And it's a-me!' She announced happily. Blanc threw a book at her.

'You literally require like ten minutes to be able to read a single thought! Did you remember how long we had to wait to get the intel? A whole damn week!' Blanc yelled angrily. Neptune began backing off with a flushed face.

'But, if that's the case, then why are we only here now?' Weiss asked.

'That's a good question. We don't know. Maybe it could be that the machine didn't work as planned and thus the time frame where the different worlds collided fucked up?' Okabe suggested. Weiss cupped her chin in thought.

'Mmm…' A snore could be heard. Everyone turned their head to see Megumin with a flushed face. Kazuma was sleeping and drooling on her shoulder.

'Uh...Kazuma said that if he didn't hear the stuff...he wouldn't be involved…' Subaru sighed while Blanc had a visible tick mark on her head.

Before anyone could react, she threw another book from god knows where into Kazuma's face. Kazuma woke up startled and fell onto his back.

'Ugh…' He groaned as Neptune and Yang, who seemed to have calmed down, began laughing.

'Are we not gonna let Nepgear know this?' Darkness asked, now that she have recovered from her euphoria.

'Uh…' Okabe was at a loss of words.

'We probably shouldn't. I mean, she doesn't remember anything and this will just make her more confused and irritated.' Neptune said wearing a pair of glasses she produced out of nowhere.

'Wha? When is Neptune so smart?' A short girl dressed in a pink dress, blue bow, and pink hat with blue eyes asked. She had long, light brown hair. Another girl who looks like her walked up from behind. She was wearing a blue hat, blue dress, pink bow and had blue eyes and short, light brown hair.

'Rom? Ram? You're awake?' Blanc asked. Ram nodded vigorously. Rom shyly nodded.

'Hey! You called me dumb didn't you?' Neptune began stomping the ground.

'I guess you're smart today if you got that.' Okabe muttered. Neptune turned her head towards him.

'What do you mean today? I'm always intelligent!' Neptune argued.

'I KNOW RIGHT!' Aqua, having woke up from her slumber, roared. Kazuma looked at Aqua, looked back at the rest, and finally, back at Aqua, before saying: 'I don't know her.'

'Damn it would you guys shut the hell up!' Nepgear screamed from inside her room.

Radio Town

Noire, Vert, and Uni walked in front of the entrance to the town.

'So they were headed here?' Vert asked. Noire nodded as she summoned her weapon, a rapier.

Vert summoned her spear while Uni summoned a gun. They entered the town when a figure appeared.

The person had thick eyebrows, big eyes with black pupils, bowlcut black hair, wore a green jumpsuit and a dark green vest over his jumpsuit. He also wore a red belt that held a metal piece with a symbol. He had bandages wrapped around his hands.

'Who are you?' Uni asked.

'I am Rock Lee.' He replied. Noire raised her rapier.

'Where is Kurisu and Mayuri?' Noire asked. Lee cupped his chin.

'I believe that they are currently being interrogated by-' A barrage of bullets went Lee's way. Lee quickly rolled on his back and dodged it all before getting to his feet and entering a stance.

'What the hell did you say?' Uni screamed as she continued shooting at Lee.

'Pleass wait a-' Lee got interrupted when Vert attacked him with her spear. She tried stabbing Lee in his left hand but Lee merely deflected her strike.

Lee then quickly kicked Vert in the face and she got struck with so much force she flew towards Uni and knocked her out as well.

'Oh...uh...I am sorry.' Lee apologised after he realised what he had done. However, it was too late as Noire was angry and didn't hear a single word.

She rushed towards Lee and began thrusting. Lee started dodging her fast attacks and backed up as Noire increased her speed.

'Damn it! Stay still!' She roared as she pulled her hand back before releasing an arrow of energy towards Lee.

Lee instantly rolled on the floor to evade her attack and stood up. Lee ran towards Noire and began punching Noire.

Noire blocked all of the attacks with her rapier before jumping out of the attack range.

She landed on her feet and using the momentum, she slammed her rapier into the ground and walked back. This resulted in a mark on the ground.

'Come forth, rain of rapiers!' Noire roared. The ground broke into two and countless of rapiers came out of the hole.

Lee narrowed his eyes. He began entering a new stance. The rapiers began attacking Lee without warning.

Lee allowed his muscles to relax and closed his eyes. As the rapiers neared him, he shot open his eyes.

'Full focus! Time Crawl!' Lee yelled as the rapiers seemed to slowed down to a snail's pace. He quickly evaded them all and neared Noire. He then locked Noire's hands and legs to prevent her from retaliating any longer.

'Wha!' She gasped when she finally realised what had happened.

'Calm down.' Lee said. Noire began growling in anger. A surge of energy suddenly enveloped her. The energy quickly threatened to explode when a voice snapped Noire out of it.

'Hey!' Noire looked towards the direction of the voice and saw a girl in her teens. She had waist length reddish hair and dull violet eyes. She was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, red tie, a loose khaki jacket, black shorts and tights with a white belt and gold buckle. She had a pair of black boots that are partially unzipped and folded down.

The girl tapped her foot impatiently.

'What are you doing?' She asked. Noire's eyes widened.

'Kurisu!' Noire yelled.

'Oh…' Lee muttered, confused as to why the suspect was walking around freely.

'Lee, you can release the girl in your grasp.' A older looking Lee said with his mouth opened into a smile, letting his white teeth shine. He was doing a thumbs up.

'Yes Guy Sensei!' Lee said before releasing Noire.

'Well well, what do we have here?' A woman with brown eyes and straight blonde hair walked up. She has a grass-green haori, grey kimono-style blouse with no sleeves, dark bluish-grey obi and pants. Her black sandals includes high heels. On her forehead, there is a violet diamond shaped mark.

'Lady Tsunade.' She dismissed her people's greetings and looked at Noire.

'So, let's have a chat on why you attacked us, shall we?'
