Summary: a visit to her little brother which ended in tragedy, Faith Winchester is pulled back into the 'family business'. However, its not the ghouls and ghosts that are concerning her. No, it's her unborn child.

Faith smiled as her little brother opened the door. "Hey Sammy!" she greeted.

"Hey Faith", Sam said, equally happy to see his sister and he hugged her.

Faith laughed as his tall frame enveloped her as they embraced "did you have a growth spurt? I swear you've gotten taller since last time", she remarked.

"No, you've just gotten shorter", Sam teased. Faith lightly slugged him in the arm.

"So how's things with Jess?" she asked as they walked up the stairs to his apartment.

"Really good", Sam replied "she's looking forward to seeing you".

"And have you…you know, asked her?" Faith questioned.

"Not yet", Sam answered "but I'm going to in a few days".

"Good. You better let me know how it goes", Faith said.

"I will", Sam promised "So how's things going with Tom? Have you set a date yet?"

"Things with Tom are going great and no we haven't set a date yet", Faith replied "but you'll be the first to know when we do".

When Sam opened the door, Faith was set upon by a very happy blonde "Its so good to see you!" Jess said.

"Its good to see you too Jess", Faith said sincerely. Though she had a few reasonably close friends there was something about Jess she liked. Maybe it was the fact that she wasn't involved in the supernatural world. Her friendship with the blonde could allow her to pretend that she had a normal life, even if it was for a little while. "Nice costume", she remarked.

"Thanks", Jess said "maybe you could talk Sam into dressing up". She shot her boyfriend a look.

"I wish I could but our family has never been that big on Halloween", Faith admitted "especially the whole costumes thing. However, I do have some rather big news for the both of you".

"Why don't we sit down and you can tell us?" Sam suggested, seeing that his big sister looked both excited and nervous at the same time.

"Yeah, good idea", Faith agreed. The trio entered the small living room where they all sat down on the little sofa.

"So, what's the news?" Jess asked.

"I'm pregnant", Faith replied.

"Congratulations! I'm really happy for you", Jess said, hugging the Slayer.

"Thanks", Faith said.

"Me too", Sam said and he hugged his sister as well.

"You should be, Uncle Sammy", Faith said with a grin and her little brother smiled back. Uncle Sammy…he could get used to that. She turned to Jess "And I was wondering if you wanted to be my baby's Aunt/Godmother", she continued.

Jess's eyes widened in surprise "Really? You want me to be Godmother?"

Faith nodded "Yes, I would…but only if you want to be", she said.

"I'd be honoured to", Jess said.

The brunette smiled "thank you", she said, happy that Jess wanted to be her unborn child's Aunt/Godmother.

"You know, I think this is a cause for celebration. And the Halloween party tonight is the perfect way to do it", Jess suggested.

"Actually, I'm kind of beat. I had a long drive so I think I'm going to turn in early", Faith admitted "but you guys go".

"You sure?" Sam asked. After the news his big sister just gave, he was a little reluctant to leave her alone. Not that he didn't think she could take care of herself, being a Slayer and all.

"I'm sure", Faith confirmed "Go experience the thing that's called fun".

"Will do", Jess said standing up "come on Sam".

"We'll only be a couple of hours", Sam promised his sister.

"Don't rush back on my account", Faith said "I'll be fine". Sam lightly kissed her forehead before he left with his girlfriend. Not long after they'd gone, Faith took out her phone and dialled her fiancé. "Hi, honey. Its just me", she said after the voicemail finished is spiel "Just wanted to let you know I got to Sam's alright. Talk to you later. Love you". She then hung up and decided to get herself settled for an early night, just like she told Sam she would.
