The preparations for the Duel took no time at all. Each side was now in agreement: If Draegor won, then he and the elves were free to go. If the guards won, then the trio will remain prisoners of the castle.
"As agreed, I will start off this Duel." Draegor declared and five Duel Cards appeared in front of him. "For my Monster, I will choose 'Lilly the Dark Elf'." He said and looked to Lilly, who stared at him very confused.
"Me?" She asked, but then suddenly, she could feel her body moving on its own, walking around and taking her place in front of him. The guards all laughed at the tiny elf.
"What are you doing, Lilly?" Bella panicked as she fell to the floor, no longer being supported by her niece.
"This isn't me! I'm not doing this!" Lilly cried back.
"Draegor! What have you done?" Bella shouted at the man.
"A Monster must obey their master." He said calmly.
"But she's not a Monster! What twisted magic are you using?"
"The same magic that every other Duelist uses."
"You lie! Get her out of there now! She'll be killed!" Bella protested but Draegor ignored her.
"I will continue with my turn now. I cast the Spell 'Double Summon', allowing me to perform two Normal Summons this turn. So I will Summon 'Flame Dancer' and 'Flame Manipulator'." In front of Draegor and on either side of Lilly, two columns of fire erupted forth. Lilly covered her face to avoid the heat. Then, from the pillars of fire emerged two Monsters.
The first was a thin, blue-skinned creature, decorated with golden hoops, whose hands were shaped like cups to hold its fire, and the top of its head was similar but it held a much larger flame. The second Monster was a blue-haired man with flames swirling around him. Lilly stared at each of the new Monsters that accompanied either side of her now.
"For my final move, I will set these last two cards." Draegor added, ending his turn.
"Not bad, but that won't be enough against us. Charge!" The head guard shouted and all five warriors attacked.
"It will not be enough you say? Then tell me what you think of this? I activate my two Traps: First 'Mirror Force', then 'Negate Attack'!" Draegor's chilling voice returned and more terrifying than before.
Before the guards could reach Draegor's forces, they came into contact with a clear wall. As they charged their way through it, a powerful energy erupted from the shattered pieces that hit each of the men. To them it felt as though their very soul was just cut into. To make matters worse, the men were unable to continue their advance. Something was keeping them from moving.
"What…(gasp) did you do?" The head guard held his chest as he choked for air.
"'Mirror Force' can only be activated when your attack is declared. It will then destroy all of my opponent's Attack Position Monsters. You all, however, only take the place of a Monster, and instead of being destroyed, you will lose half your life force. The small downside to that Trap is that is does not actually stop your attacks, so I chained it to my second Trap: 'Negate Attack'. It too must be activated when your attack is declared. In doing so it stops that attack and then ends your Battle Phase, preventing the rest of you from being able to attack this turn now." Draegor explained. His dark tone brought shivers to the men.
"What is this guy? He managed to not only stopped our first assault, but also cut all of our life forces in half!" One of the men exclaimed.
"You may have one this round but you haven't won the war!" The head guard shouted.
"Have you finished your turn?" Draegor asked mockingly.
The guard gritted his teeth. "Yes."
"Good. Now for the final move." The masked man said as he drew his next card.
"What do you mean 'final move'? We've only just begun." The men questioned angrily.
"Each of you started off with a sparse 3000 life force. My Trap brought that down to a mere 1500. This will be the final move whether you like it or not." Draegor claimed as he threw his card to the ground. It disappeared before it landed, and instead, another monster began to rise. "I Summon 'Hinotama Soul'." A large ball of fire with a terrible smiling face took its place next to the 'Flame Dancer'.
The men started to laugh at the sight of it. "That thing's no stronger than your elf! Why even bother summoning such a pathetic thing?" The guards laughed at the thought of them getting all worked up for this.
"Every move is made to reach another destination. Even the smallest of plays can make all the difference." Draegor calmly spoke, but then his voice grew in power. "And this move will be the last one you ever see!" The flames from each of the three Fire Monsters began to flicker violently. Lilly looked to her sides worried. Even Bella couldn't understand what was happening.
"I now evoke Lilly's unique effect and will perform a Contact Fusion! Lilly! Fuse with my three Monsters of Fire to become one of even greater power!" Draegor ordered and Lilly could feel her body moving on its own again. She couldn't stop what was about to happen, no matter how hard she tried.
Lilly's body began to glow and emanate a powerful energy. As that energy hit the other Monsters, they too began to glow and their own bodies began to be pulled into Lilly's. Soon a tornado of fire violently spiraled around where Lilly was. Then it suddenly exploded from its center to reveal the elf again. Only this time she was very different.
Lilly's eyes and hair had turned a fiery red, and her hair floated above her, mimicking the flames themselves. Her clothing resembled that of a steampunk fashion with a set of large goggles to match. Lilly's new weapon she carried was like a flamethrower that was given a serious custom overhaul.
"I present to you 'Lilly the Flaming Pyrotechnic'." Draegor announced and his words alone could have formed a menacing grin.
