Draco POV
"Do us proud, boy." His father said with a pointed look.
His mother glared at his father and rolled her eyes. She turned to face her son with a smile. As she hugged him she moved closer to his ear. "Whatever you choose I'll be proud of you." She whispered then let him go with her smile still on her face. "And don't forget to write." She added and winked at her son.
Draco nodded as a blush was creeping up on his face. "I will, mum." He nodded. He couldn't look at his dad. He was ready to make a run for it towards the train.
As he found the entrance to go in the train he heard. "Remember what I said!" His father yelled in the background and he rolled his eyes as he entered the train. He found the nearest empty corridor and sighed with relief that it was empty. He sat down and took the seat closest to the window to dose off.
On his third birthday Draco was feeling lonely. For that he only had Crabb and Goyle as his friends. It wasn't much of a party to him. Of course, he had to invite Pansy, thought that wasn't his idea. His mother had forced him. He was forced to not invite Harry and Hermione, for that it would taint their reputation of being pure bloods and Hermione was not. Though, he didn't care about blood status, his father did.
After the stunt Harry has pulled making Dobby a free elf, his father was left with no elf. Though, they both got along well from the start. He would ask for something, but Bonna would say something like. "Get it yourself." Or, his favorite, "you clean it yourself." He was so happy with her attitude because he could have fun with it whenever his father would ask her to do something. 'The whole point of having an elf is treating them like a servant', his father would say.
Draco was sitting by himself in the train, for he didn't feel like in the mood for company, especially Crabb and Goyle.
Jumping from his seat, he looked up and noticed Hermione who was staring at him with a smile. "Do you mind? I just don't want to be in the middle of Ron and Lavender snogging as well as Harry being with Ginny." She shrugged and bit her lip.
He sighed then gestured to take a seat.
When she took a seat she relaxed then looked at Draco. "I noticed you didn't write back to me." She pointed out.
Crossing his arms he looked away from her towards the window. "Things at home are…." He paused then to look at Hermione. "Getting intense," he said with a frown.
"How so?" She asked glaring at him.
Draco just shrugged. He was not ready to talk about it.
"Can you believe the attire we had to get this year?" She chuckled and blushed awkwardly.
Draco raised his right eyebrow. Just ask her to the dance you nitwit. He grimaced at that thought. "Yeah. Err, my dad had arranged me to go to a special dress shop for men in the muggle world," he admitted.
"Oh?" She paused while looking at him. This was an all-new personality for this Draco.
All of a sudden, he heard a movement in the corner of his eye and jumped. "Bonna!" He yelped with wide eyed. "What are you-?" He was interrupted when the elf spoke.
"Sorry sir…" She paused to look at Hermione then at Draco. "I noticed that you forgot something and I thought I'd bring it to you." She explained. She gave him the crimpled up letter that Hermione wrote and handed it Draco.
After he looked at Hermione's note, his eyes went wide and he glared at Bonna with a blush. "I appreciate that you brought this back to me." He paused then heaved a sighed. Gritting his teeth he finished his sentence. "But a train is no place for an elf." He said with a pointed look. "I don't want you in trouble." He suggested.
Bonna nodded. "Yes sir." She popped out the room leaving Hermione staring at Draco with a confused looked on her face.
