16. Author note: read me please

Dear Readers,

I am currently hand-drafting the sequel to Reading in New York: The Beginning.

However, as I have mentioned before, I have other interests besides writing and on the 4th of March I am sitting Grade 2 music theory and studying has to come first. While writing by hand in cursive is part of my adult homeschool curriculum, it's not the only subject I am currently studying and as Grade 2 theory is a bit more difficult than grade 1, most of my school time has to be spent on music theory. Especially because I only have (at the time of editing this note) 5 weeks left until my exam.

Furthermore, my laptop's keyboard isn't working as it should — the I key isn't working properly right now, I have another solution albeit a temporary one. I have purchased a wireless keyboard which I will be using until I can get my laptop keyboard fixed. My laptop cost a lot of money and is now 5 years old. Given the kind of *ahem* issues I face on a daily basis, I will not take my laptop into the shop to have the keyboard fixed until I have a "real" adult able to go with me.

I am currently writing a WWE fanfic for schoolwork because I gave myself burnout with the sequel to this story. I may or may not post that WWE fanfic (which is called Blaze of Glory) when I finish writing/typing it.

Unfortunately, that means that I don't know how long it will be until I can type up the sequel and the backstories of certain characters… I would ask that you please be patient with me. I will do my best to type the sequel up sooner rather than later but I can't promise that it's going to happen any time soon. I am not going to write it for Camp NaNoWriMo in April because I have a screenplay planned for that. I may write it in July, we'll see.

I appreciate your patience, I intend to complete the entire series of reading the books fics that I have planned but it's going to take me a while longer than I had first thought.

I have decided to allow reviews on this story only BUT please make sure to read the author note that follows this one. I don't mean to be offensive in the author note following this one but I have posted it for my own protection, it is therefore laid out specifically and explicitly. I know it probably sounds a bit shouty and ranty and I also know I shouldn't have to do that but that's the way the world is. Actions no longer seem to have real consequences so I have had to take steps to protect myself. It's aimed more at fending off potential trolls than any 'real' readers.

I am going to do clean up editing on this when I get time to do so.
