Joy screamed as the pale girl held her down.

"stay away from me Edward!"

Joy screamed again as the girl's eyes were wild and yellow. Why were they yellow?

"I'm not Edward! I'm not! get off of me!"

The back door opened, and a brown wolf ran into the room.

"Jared stop!" Sam ordered.

That order, however, fell on deaf ears as Jared phased and gently took Bella off of joy.

Quil and Paul helped a trembling and shocked joy up.

"why did you attack my mother!?" quill growled.

"quill back off! She didn't know what she was doing!" Jacob intervened.

"OH !here we go! Baby alpha defending the leech lover!" Paul sneered. He had kept his mouth shut for too long.

"I mean look at quills mom! She looks terrified! And did you not see Jared! He was having a freaking seizure for more than an hour! And all you can think about is defending the pale face! I can't believe you!"

Jacob went to speak but was interrupted by sam.

"BOTH OF YOU BE QUIET!"

Their mouths instantly shut.

"While you three were arguing amongst yourselves! I had to pursue! A naked Jared carrying a growling Bella all through the reservation! And you know what! I lost them! I lost them because MY PACK wasn't doing it job! And now I have to alpha order all of your asses just so we can stay afloat!"

The four wolves stayed silent under the order.

"Quil you are to stay here and help your grandfather prepare a meeting with the elders. Jacob go back to forks hospital and have your father convince Teresa to release raven to the tribe's clinic. The Reservation will be on lockdown from here on out. Paul, you're going to relieve embry from patrol. Send everyone else to Emily's so that we can have a meeting. Is that clear!?"

The wolves present could only nod their heads in agreement and tremble at their alpha's command.

Once they dispersed, Sam turned to old quil and asked, "Now what the hell happened?"

Old quill glared at the temporary alpha and said "actually I was hoping you could tell me that. Explain to me what happened at the hospital first? I'll need the whole story before I gather all of the elders."

Sam sighed

"ok, we were originally at the hospital because of raven Cameron. She was involved in a shootout and Charlie swan saved her life. Everything was going fine until Jared and Bella walked in the hospital together. Jared was…too close to her and what made it worse was that we hadn't seen him in weeks. He looked...sick and healthy at the same time it was odd. To make matters worse the Cullen's appeared as well and attempted to communicate with Bella swan but she ignored them just like Jared ignored us. "

Sam took a breath to calm his nerves and then continued

"We went to confront Jared, but we were sidetracked by the Cullen's. Apparently, Edward didn't like how close Jared and Bella were and accused us of breaking the treaty. Once I explained the situation, he relaxed but then he revealed to me that Jared had been meeting with Charlie swan often. That surprised me. I should have done better by him and just alpha ordered him to stay here. Anyway, after we talk to the Cullen's, we found Jared visiting his sister. I didn't get a chance to talk to him because we heard a shout come from Charlie swans' room. We came upon Edward pinning Bella to a wall, which caused the bruises on her arms to appear. This had Jared in a rage, and he attacked Edward. We tried to get him off but nothing worked until Dr. Cullen appeared and talked him down. Jared instantly ran to the room where Jacob had taken Bella, and we found her in a comatose state. She looked exactly the way she did before when Edward left her. no one could get a response from her and then when Jared came in, it was like…it was like his soul had shattered. She wouldn't respond and when he saw the dead look in her eyes…he just...collapsed. and by the time we got them here, Jared was sweating and convulsing but what I want to know ais why Bella attacked joy? And why did Jared run away with her?"

Old quill sighed heavily as he stood.

"..It all makes sense now."

Sam looked at him in confusion.

"…This has never happened before but with the lives we live I doubt it is impossible. I just don't understand why the spirits didn't tell me?"

"tell you what?" Sam asked in frustration.

"...Jared and his wolf have chosen Bella swan…as their mate. Their relationship is healing his broken imprint… but I have no idea how. Kim was Jared's soulmate. Chosen and blessed by the spirits. No, this must be some kind of mistake… you can't just have another mate. It's the very reason why taka aki disappeared. He couldn't survive without his mate, without his imprint. Sam, I have to go. I need to talk to the other elders. Meet us in the council hall in two hours."

Jared held Bella tightly as she fought against him. The cave where they had first met was cold and wet, but it would due.

I don't know but well figure it out. I think she's just scared. She's still stuck in her head. Jared told him.

Look into her eyes. Check her eyes! His wolf urged suddenly panicked

Jared maneuvered Bella who was still flailing to look at him. Jared gasped while his wolf growled.

That monster! Her eyes! They're yellow and black around the iris! We need to help her! She cant do it alone. We need to mark her!

Jared trembled. Mark her! mark her! that was sacred! Something only true and pure mates did. Not even Sam and Emily had done that. matter of fact…no one had ever spoken about marking. Jared had glanced over it once in the tribe's archives but that was it.

Look at our mate she needs this! His wolf shouted

Jared looked down to the trembling, frightened and yet angry girl in his arms.

I won't do it without her permission, we have to wake her up first. He thought

His wolf growled in agitation, but Jared ignored him.

He brought Bella close to his chest and rumbled. Pray fully, the warmth and the sound of his wolf would help her.

"Chabelita…please wake up! Come up from their spell! Whatever Edward Cullen threatened you with does not exist! He won't hurt you! I won't let him hurt you!" he pleaded as he looked into her yellow and black eyes.

Scent her! his wolf ordered

Jared did as such and growled. she smelled like leech, but the smell was most pungent by her wrist, right where the old vampire bite was.

MARK HER! MARK HER AND IT WILL STOP THE VAMPIRES VENOM! His wolf roared.

Jared couldn't resist any longer. It was obvious that Edward Cullen has threatened Bella and then somehow reawakened the venom that had been dormant in her wrist and now it was triggering panic and fear within her.

Jared followed his wolfs instruction and bit Bella's collar bone, right where the veins traveled down to her heart. He would free her from this curse just like she had freed him from this life of misery.

Ever since Kim left him Bella had been his rock, She showed him what true friendship was about and It wasn't until he saw her bruised arms and her comatose state that made he and his wolf realized just how much they loved her. Seeing her nonresponsive, not moving and smelling like a leech made his heart snap to pieces. In that moment, it looked like Bella had lost the will to live…and so had he. But then he heard her scream and it awakened him, now it was time for her to come back. It was time for her to awaken.
