Chapter 17: And Then There Were 10

'Huff...why…' A young boy wearing a white shirt with black stripes, green jeans, black and white sneakers, and a peculiar, bulky black watch was currently gasping while laying on the grassy ground beside the ocean. A young girl towered over him.

'Oh...how weak.' The girl said with a smirk. She was wearing a blue raglan shirt with a cat logo on her chest, white capris, and a pair of white shoes with dark blue stripes. She had short red hair held by a blue hair clip and green eyes.

'Oh yeah? Wanna try sparring with Fourarms?' The boy rebutted.

'Now now, Ben, Gwen, stop arguing.' A man seemingly in his sixties called out. He wore a white shirt, covered by a red buttoned-up Hawaiian shirt with a floral design. He had grey hair and blue pants, as well as brown shoes.

'Grandpa!' The cousins greeted. He smiled as he lifted up a bucket of worms.

'Uh…' Ben began moving back.

'I'm...I'm not really hungry…' Ben turned around and tried to run away. However, Ben's Grandpa, Max, pulled on Ben's collar.

'Where are you going? You haven't eaten since last night. You just did some sparring as well.' Max reasoned.

'Ha! More like getting his butt handed to him!' Gwen snickered. Ben's eyebrow twitched as he walked up to her menacingly. Before he could say anything however, an explosion was heard.

'Wha!' He turned and saw a pillar of water in the distance.

'Something must've happened!' Gwen yelled.

'Geez! Thanks Miss Obvious!' Ben said sarcastically as he placed his right hand on the black alien watch known as the Omnitrix.

'It's hero time!' He slammed on the Omnitrix, letting a flash of green light engulf him. When the light disappeared, in place of Ben was a humanoid angler fish. He had large jaws, a phosphorescent light on his head, and wore the Omnitrix symbol on a black patch over his left pectoral.

'Ripjaws!' He roared in a raspy voice. He quickly dived into the ocean and swam at high speed towards the source of the explosion.

When he neared the location, he was shocked to find no enemies. Rather, it seemed that there was a black hole in the middle of the sky and objects such as ships, wooden planks, and engines are being dragged into it.

'What the-!' He got interrupted as he began getting pulled in as well.

'No! Gwen! Grandpa! I can't get out!' He tried calling for his family but they were obviously too far away to hear him.

Ruined World

'Urgh…' Ben groaned as he opened his eyes.

'What the heck…' He looked around. He was in a completely new world. That much, he could tell.

'Recalibrating.' Ben heard a robotic sound and looked around for the source before realising that it came from the Omnitrix. The hourglass symbol of the Omnitrix shone blue.

'Huh?' Ben was confused. He had seen it when it was green and red, but never when it was blue. Before he could think too much about it however, he heard a voice.

'Okabe!' He could tell that it was a cry of despair and ran towards the voice. After running for a few minutes, he realised that he had officially lost track of where the voice came from.

Just then, he caught a glimpse of a person is a lab coat being kidnapped by a person in a green hood.

'(That guy in the lab coat has to be the Okabe guy!)' Ben quickly deduced.

He tried chasing after the kidnapper but he didn't have a chance due to the fact that the Omnitrix was still in it's blue phase.

'Damn it! XLR8 would be so good right now!' Ben cursed as he stomped his foot on the ground in anger and frustration.

Residential Area

Ben wandered around for about 30 minutes and got into a place known as the Residential Area.

'Ah…' He groaned as he looked at the Omnitrix. He felt irritated. The Omnitrix had finished it's calibration ten minutes ago. It took on a slimmer, but otherwise still unique form. It remained black and white.

However, he had lost his plethora of alien forms. Now it had reset itself back to ten forms. The forms that were present now are Heatblast, Fourarms, Ghostfreak and some others that he had never seen before.

'Time to leave this area I guess…' Ben muttered to himself and was about to leave the area when he saw the guy in the green hood.

Ben smirked as he called out to him and talked for a bit before turning into Fourarms. After trying to beat the crap out of the person, the person somehow turned invisible and escaped.

'Damn it! If only Wildmutt was still in the damned watch!' Fourarms growled.

'A monster?' Fourarms heard a voice call out. He turned and saw a topless man.

He had spiky black hair, dark blue eyes, a necklace which resembles a sword with a stone in it, a metal bracelet and a chain which is attached to the belt loops on the right side of his black pants.

He has a tattoo on his right arm. On his right pectoral, he had some kind dark blue mark.

Furthermore, he has a scar on his forehead above his left eye that is partially covered by his hair and a cross-shaped scar on his lower abdomen.

'Who are you calling a monster!' Fourarms roared as he attacked because, yes, Ben is that childish. He punched the person, only to find himself hitting thin air as the guy jumped into the air.

'The name's Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail!' He announced as he got into a stance mid-air.

'Fairy what?!' Fourarms asked as he looked up towards Gray.

'Ice-Make: Lance!' Long, curved ice lances appeared around Gray. They then launched themselves towards Fourarms.

'ARGH! That's not an answer!' Fourarms roared as he guarded against the lances. After doing so, he jumped towards Gray and punched him.

'Ice-Make: Shield!' An icy wall of flowers appeared in front of Gray. Fourarms' fist stopped when it came into contact with the shield.

'It...WON'T STOP ME!' Fourarms began putting more strength into his punch which began to slowly crack Gray's shield.

Gray quickly sent more lances towards Fourarms which successfully embedded themselves into his skin, slowing his attack and allowing Gray to avoid the punch as the shield was shattered.

Gray landed on the ground and got into a new stance. He smirked as ice arrows began appearing all over and an ice bow appeared in his hands.

'Ice-Make: Arrows!' He began shooting them at high speed, forcing Fourarms to block and dodge as much as he can.

'Ice-Make: Floor!' Gray once again used another technique. This time, the whole floor turned into ice, causing Fourarms to slip and fall. However, Gray would never expect that this would result in even more trouble.

When Fourarms fell, he fell on his left shoulder, which was where the Omnitrix was. As it hit the ground, a flash of green light engulfed Fourarms.

When the light cleared, he turned into a small alien. He was in a white silicon suit, had small green bulging eyes, an amplifier mouth, and green circular indents on the back of his hands.

A MP3 Player is on his back and it was connected to white headphones. A 10 symbol is on the MP3 Player. He also seems to have cassette tapes on his lower legs. The Omnitrix symbol is found on his forehead.

'What?!' Ben asked in shock. Gray looked shocked as well. However, he wasted no time in sending more lances at Ben.

Ben's eyes widened as he realised that he had no idea what this new guy does.

'NO!' He closed his eyes as he screamed.

'Crack!' The lances broke into pieces. Ben slowly opened his eyes.

'Was that...a sonic scream…' Gray muttered. Ben managed to catch on to what he said.

'Oh...haha...yeah I did that on purpose...' Ben said awkwardly before crossing his arms proudly.

'I shall call him...Echo Echo!' Echo Echo announced. As Gray got over his shock and prepared to fire off more lances and arrows, Echo Echo began screaming loudly.

The scream was so strong that Echo Echo literally blew himself a few miles away.

'Oops...guess I should've controlled it a little huh…' Echo Echo muttered as the Omnitrix began beeping.

Gray had covered his ears from the scream and have only just moved his hands away after seeing what happened.

'Damn...that guy...is strong...I should probably use my full strength right from the start the next time I meet him…' Gray muttered as he began digging his ears...before realising one thing.

'WHERE THE HELL DID MY PANTS GO!'

Ben crawled out of a rubbish bin.

'I always seem to land in these…' He grumbled angrily.

'Well...at least Echo Echo wasn't another Grey Matter…' Ben dusted himself. He was really to find Gwen and Grandpa Max. And to have some fun doing that.

AN: This chapter sucked...my brain kinda couldn't think after slacking for so long so...might change it later on if I have time.
