Alright, so it's been a while since I've done one of these. In this chapter, I'm going back to the Shadow Conflicts for a bit to showcase some more of the First Order and Teridax's conquest of other worlds. In this case, Dathomir.
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars, Bionicle or anything else that appears in this story.
When Palpatine took over the First Order, he once more desired conquest over the galaxy and beyond. To that end, he once more dispatched the First Order to conquer where he could and what he could, subjugating entire planets once more, at least those he could get away with.
One such world was the planet of Dathomir, home of the Force-wielding witches. Back during the time of the Empire, the efforts to completely subjugate the world had been... difficult, to say the least.
Still, the resurrected Sith Lord wasn't content to leave the planet alone, especially one with a population so strong in the Force. Once more, he dispatched First Order ships to keep watch on the planet and subjugate them as needed, with orbital bombardment being used liberally.
Of course, the war with the Republic had also put a hamper on the attempts to subjugate the planet and its inhabitants, leaving Palpatine to dispatch one of the Knights of Ren in an effort to counter the powers of the Force users with one of his own.
Of course, it wasn't Palpatine that was truly in charge anymore. And unknown to the Witches of Dathomir, they were about to learn that lesson the hard way. At the same time as the current campaign on Dathomir, the Jedi Order was fermenting rebellions on First Order planets. And these rebellions were put down by Palpatine's true master...
...
The Knight in question was fighting on the ground, attempting to rally the First Order soldiers around him even as Rancors and Witches tore the First Order walkers and war machines apart, while Stormtroopers on the ground were massacred.
The First Order Darksider was admittedly able to put up a good fight on his own, outfighting and cutting down Witches that he came across, but even still he was tiring, and his support was quickly waning.
Then to make things worse, one of the Nightsister leaders leapt from the trees and attacked him, the Knight barely managing to raise his lightsaber in time to block the strike. The Nightsister was using her own lightsaber, a relic collected from a dead Jedi to duel with the other Darksider.
The Knight of Ren managed to hold his own, and even started to overpower the Dathomir witch, catching her in a blade lock and forcing the energy blade towards the Nightsister's face.
"You are strong with the Force." The Knight growled behind his helmet. "But not strong enough."
The Nightsister managed to avoid getting the lightsaber in her face, but at the cost of getting the blade knocked out of her hand. She managed to avoid the Knight's swings of his lightsaber, only to be caught by a Force Push and sent flying.
The Knight followed and was about to finish her off, only to find himself surrounded by several Nightsisters armed with energy bows and stolen blasters. The First Order darksider found himself on the defensive as the weight of fire overwhelmed him.
A lucky shot struck him in the shoulder, causing the Knight to collapse to his knee. All around him, First Order soldiers were dying as the Nightsister leader walked towards him through the carnage, reveling in the reverse of positions.
"Tell Snoke we will never submit to him." The Nightsister growled, causing the Knight to laugh.
"Snoke?" The Knight chuckled. "You have no idea who's truly in charge."
Suddenly, a shadow fell over the land. An unnatural darkness spread throughout the trees, withering plantlife wherever it touched. And from the shadow, a pair of glowing red eyes appeared.
"Witches of Dathomir, your choices are simple." A deep and cold voice spoke up, one that was not Snoke's. "You will submit to my rule or your world will suffocate in darkness."
As this new being spoke, several beings flew in overhead, with several landing in the trees. A large number of multicolored biomechanical beings leapt down to the ground, each one with unusual spines on their backs and strange staffs in their hands.
The leader of the Nightsisters looked at them contemptuously before turning to her fellow sisters and Witches.
"Kill them all!"
Fear suddenly struck the Nightsisters, leaving many paralyzed with terror. This made them easy targets for the manipulations of Gravity or the power of lightning and plasma. Several Witches attempted to close the gap, many armed with light whips, but they fell to heat and laser vision beams.
Things became even worse for the Nightsisters as the plant life around them suddenly came to life, with the Rahkshi of Plant control exerting their power over the forests. Vines attempted to strangle them or drag the Witches underground, with some actually succeeding.
One by one, the esoteric powers of the Rahkshi began overwhelming the powers of the witches and the Nightsisters. Their numbers began dwindling as more First Order soldiers and war machines started deploying to aid them. Rancors attempted to aid their masters, but they fell to the Rahkshi as well.
In moments, the Rahkshi had turned the tide of the battle against Dathomir, with several witches immediately breaking off and fleeing for their lives. The Knight of Ren was in no mood for mercy.
"Hunt them down." He ordered, turning to the Rahkshi. "Do not let them escape."
One of the Rahkshi responded by hitting him with the handle of its staff before hissing in his face. The Knight cowered in fear and panic as the point was made: he wasn't truly in charge here.
Fortunately for the Knight, he was spared from the wrath of the Makuta sons, as they instead decided to hunt down the Witches instead. The Weather began changing for the worse as they flew off.
Unfortunately for Dathomir, Rahkshi weren't the only things Teridax had sent. Visorak spiders appeared from a number of portals, setting themselves upon still breathing Rancors and Nightsisters with webbing and Hordika venom. They did what they did best, turning already horrific creatures into even more horrifying beasts.
Makuta's shadow had fallen over Dathomir, the latest in a long list of planets to fall.
And that's the end of this chapter. Sorry that it was kinda abrupt, but I was just running out of steam there. I'll be honest, I don't think this one was my best work, especially considering I just kinda did it on a whim.
Still, I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter and reviews are always welcome.
