I'm keeping this one Lucy vs Flare because like I said, it's kinda important to the story.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: LUCY VS FLARE

"The first match of day one! From Fairy Tail Team A, Lucy Heartfilla!" Chapati announced. "Me?!" Lucy said. "Versus Flare Corona from Raven Tail!" Chapati finished. "Blondie..." Flare muttered.

"Lucy! Show her the results of your training!" Natsu shouted.

"If you win here, we can still go on!" Erza shouted as well.

"Knock her lights out!" Elfman added.

"Raven Tail... They said they hurt Wendy 'by way of greeting'? And in the competition, they prioritized interfering with Gray over winning! I'm angry..." Lucy thinks to herself as she clenches her fists.

"Count on me! I swear I'll win!" Lucy said.

"I like that look." Lily commented.

"Lucy's really fired up..." Happy added.

"It's because her opponent's from Ivan's stupid guild!" Master Makarov informed. "Tear her to pieces!" He yelled as he swung his fists around.

Meanwhile, Casey looked down at the arena. Vivi looked over at her best friend worriedly. "Hmm? Something bothering you, Casey?" She asked. Casey looked over to her and sighed.

"I just got a bad feeling right now. But I'm sure it's nothing to worry about." Casey replied.

Cruz looked at him. "Your hunches are often correct."

"Apparently, the masters of these two guilds are father and son, Yajima-san!" Chapati said. "True, but they bear the insignia of different guilds, it doesn't matter if they're parent or child." Yajima replied.

"It's so dramatic! I'm getting the chills!" Jenny exclaimed.

"Both of you, come forward!" Mato ordered. "Since the entire arena will be your battle field, only two of you will be in here. Your time limit is 30 minutes."

"B-Blondie..." Flare said.

"I'm not gonna lose!" Lucy exclaimed.

"During that time, if you knock out your opponent, you win." Mato continued. "Alright, let the first match... begin!" The sound of the gong came.

"Here I go!" Lucy got out a zodiac key. "Open, Gate of the Golden Bull! Taurus!" Lucy summons Taurus. "Mooore power!" Taurus exclaimed as he tries to strike Flare but she dodges.

"Oh, my! Celestial Spirit magic! And it's one of the 12 Zodiac Gates!" Chapati exclaimed.

Vivi was watching the battle. "Huh. Looks like she's a Celestial Spirit wizard, Vivi." Claire stated.

"Her magic is quite remarkable." Tsuki added, which leaves her team shocked since she hadn't said a word since the Games started.

"I agree with Tsuki. A battle between her and I would be amazing." Vivi said.

Flare chuckles as Lucy got out another zodiac key. "Open, Gate of the Scorpion! Scorpio!" Lucy summons Scorpio as well. "We are!" Scorpio commented.

"Two Celestial Spirits at the same time?!" Bisca exclaimed.

"Wow! Since when has she been able to have two gates open simultaneously?!" Alzack said.

"Cool!" Asuka added.

"Sand Buster!" Scorpio attacks with his sand. Flare just laughs as her hair turns to fire and she blocks the attack.

"Her hair got longer?!" Natsu exclaimed.

"She's guarding it?!" Elfman added.

"She uses fire, huh?" Sakura muttered from where Raven's Moon Team B was standing.

"Taurus! Use Scorpio's sand!" Lucy ordered. "Moo! Perfect!" Taurus said. "Absorb!" Sand starts moving towards Taurus's axe. "Go, Taurus! We!" Scorpio cheered.

"Sandstorm Axe: Aldebaran!" Sand started flying everywhere as the participants and the audience blocked the sand from going into their eyes.

"The sand's in my eyes!" Jenny exclaimed.

"This is incredible! Opening two gates is amazing in itself, but a combination attack, too?!" Chapati said. "That girl has improved so much, you can't compare her with what she was like seven years ago!" Yajima added.

"Good job, both of you!" Lucy said. "We are!" Scorpio remarked as he and Taurus disappeared back to the celestial spirit world.

Flare was still flying in the air. "Blondie!" Flare said as she lets her hair grow. "Hair Shower: Wolf Fang!" Flare's hair turns into a wolf.

"Her hair's turned into a wolf!" Sherria stated.

"Her hair?!" Yuka questioned.

"Her hair! That bountiful hair! That long hair!" Toby exclaimed.

"Keep quiet." Jura ordered.

"Open, Gate of the Giant Crab! Cancer!" Lucy summons Cancer as he cuts Flare's hair. "My hair..." Flare said, shocked. "Nice, Cancer!" Lucy said. "When it comes to haircuts, leave it to me-ebi!" Cancer commented before disappearing.

"You!" Flare shouted as she dug her hair into the ground and swings Lucy around.

"Lucy!" Her team shouted.

"Take that!" Flare says as she throws Lucy on the ground. "My red hair does exactly what I want it to..."

"Now that you mention it, my Fleuve d'etoiles also..." Lucy grabs her whip. "...does what I want it to!" Lucy flips her whip onto Flare's wrist.

"What?!" Flare said. The whip turns, spinning both Flare and Lucy. Lucy screams as Flare sets her hair on fire which was tied to Lucy's ankle as she continues screaming.

"Oh, my! It's only the first match and its a battle where the fighters barely have time to breathe!" Chapati commented. "A showdown between father and son guilds! A battle between two women! And neither of them is backing down!"

"Although it looks like Fairy Tail is a little dominant." Jenny pointed out.

Flare weakly smiles. Lucy cringes as her feet burn. Sakura notices steam coming from Lucy's ankles. "Something wrong, Sakura?" Snow asked.

"Look at her feet..." Sakura replied.

"That girl's hair must've burned through her shoes when it grabbed a hold of her." Kyle stated.

Lucy was taking off her boots. "Dang it! I really liked these boots!" Lucy muttered, looking at one of the boots that was now ruined.

"My burning hair... My red hair... That's all the damage it did?!" Flare thinks to herself. "Blondie..."

"I'd say she's off to a great start." Cruz said.

"Yeah, she's doing great. Very impressive. I wonder if her team and her guild mates on Team B are like her." Claire agreed.

"You would think that seven-year period was nothing when she was sealed away on Tenrou Island." Tsuki added.

"Well, Master Ailey did mention that their magic power increased even more then seven years ago." Vivi pointed out.

Casey looked at the arena with his arms crossed. "That red-haired girl from Raven Tail is pretty impressive as well. I wonder how she'll attack next." He said. "This isn't good. My bad feeling is getting worse... I have a feeling it's not me being paranoid anymore..."

Flare screams as she puts her hair in the ground again. "W-What?! You're aiming for my legs again?!" Lucy asked.

"This is bad. Now that she's barefoot with no shoes protecting her, there will be damage." Sakura said.

"I hope she's careful." Razi muttered.

Lucy looks around the field. "Strange... This time I'm not sensing anything... Where will she attack from?!" Lucy thought. She looks at Flare who smirks evilly at her. Lucy looks up at her teammates.

"What's she doin'?!" Natsu wondered out loud.

Casey's bad feeling came back as he looked over to where Fairy Tail was. "This feeling... don't tell that girl is...!" He thought. He noticed a piece of red hair by one of Lucy's guild mates. A child no less.

Lucy looks at her guild mates who were cheering for her when she finally spots a piece of red hair by Asuka. "Asuka-chan!" Lucy shouted but gets interrupted by Flare covering her mouth with her hair as she swings her down on the ground.

"Don't say anything. That's an order. If you disobey, you know what'll happen, right?" Flare said. "Even a blonde bimbo like you can understand."

"That's low..." Lucy thought as she glared at her. The audience started cheering louder.

"What's wrong, Master?" Romeo asked.

"Maybe it's just my imagination? I felt something odd..." Master Makarov replied.

Casey clenched his hand against the wall, making some of it break in half. His teammates looked at him worriedly. "Casey, what's wrong?" Vivi asked.

"This match just took a big turn..." Casey replied.

"No one notices. There's no way they'll notice. If I feel like it, I could take down that brat in an instant..." Flare chuckled. "What kind of monster is she?!" Lucy thinks to herself.

"The breathtaking battle part continues! It's Lucy Heartfilia versus Flare Corona!" Chapati announced. "Come to think of it, Yajima-san. When you were in the council Fairy Tail enjoyed a very different reputation then they do today, correct?"

Yajima nodded. "They were popular. They were top class when it came to raw power. Unfortuntely, we had a heck of a time with all the problems they caused." Yajima answered.

"Well, I bet a lot of people here don't know what they were like back then." Chapati said.

Flare continues to chuckle. "How dirty can you get?!" Lucy asked.

"Don't say anything. Don't move. Don't use any magic. You'll know what'll happen if you don't obey, right?!" Flare looked at her with an evil grin. "Blondie!" Flare shouted as she shoved Lucy to the ground.

"Did opening two gates at the same time backfire on her?" Alexander wondered out loud.

"She couldn't have ran out of magic power that quick..." Razi added.

Flare continues to laugh as she attacks Lucy with her fire. Then Flare swings Lucy around with her hair. "Man, this hurts to watch." Orga commented from the Sabertooth stands.

Cruz watched the battle with his chin in his palm and sighed. "This isn't even a battle anymore. It's a beat down."

Casey said nothing as he left the stands. "Where are you going, Case?" Vivi asked.

"What in the world is going on?!" Chapati said. "What was a fierce battle just moments ago has turned into a one-sided beat down!"

Lucy lays on the ground. "Hang in there!" Asuka shouted. Lucy closed her eyes.

Flare's hair erupts into fire as she attacks Lucy again. "Take that! And that!" Flare keeps attacking Lucy with her hair.

"Everyone... Wendy... Gray... I'm sorry." Lucy puts her head down. "I give up..." She muttered as Flare covers her mouth with her hair once more. "Who told you it was okay to talk, Blondie?!" Flare asked as she ties Lucy's wrists and ankles with her hair.

"I'm not gonna let you surrender. I'm just getting started here playing with you. Understand? Don't say a word." Flare uncovers her mouth. "However... I will allow screaming!" Flare added as she laughs.

"Now, let's see... What shall I do to you first? Maybe I'll tear off your clothes in front of all these people... That would be funny. But I just thought of an even better idea!" A Raven Tail emblem appears on Flare's hair as Lucy trembles.

"I'll brand the insignia of Raven Tail onto your body! A brand that'll never fade away! Where would you like me to put it?" Flare asks as she moves the Raven Tail emblem around. The Fairy Tail emblem on the back of Lucy's right hand catches Flare's eye.

"I see! You want me to put it over your Fairy Tail insignia, huh?" Flare said.

"Please! Anything but that!" Lucy begged.

"I told you not to talk!" Flare shouted.

Meanwhile, Casey was running to where Fairy Tail was standing. "Damn you, Raven Tail..! Are you that evil and would stoop to risk a child's life? Where's the honor in that?" He thought. He continues running as the Raven Tail emblem goes closer to Lucy.

Finally, Casey grabs Flare's hair and freezes it. "She was trying to protect a guild mate!" He said.

"What's a Raven's Moon member doing here?" Everyone was shocked when they saw Casey.

"You're in the clear, Lucy!" Casey shouted, leaning over the wall.

"Thank you..." Lucy thought as she pulled out a zodiac key. "Gemini!" She summons Gemini as they free her from Flare's hair and she was thrown backwards.

"Do that thing!" Lucy ordered.

"We haven't practiced enough!" Mini said.

"We don't know if we can do it or not!" Gemi added.

"Don't worry, just turn into me!" Lucy said. Gemini turns into her after Lucy's shock that they were only in a bath towel and they started doing the spell.

Sounds of the heavens, open the heavens.

Stars across the universe,

show yourselves to me

with all your brilliance!

By now, Casey had returned to his team. "That magic... I don't believe it." Vivi said as she recognized the spell. "Hmm? What are you talking about, Vivi?" Claire asked.

"I guess it's no surprise she learned the ultimate magic of the stars. She's a Celestial Spirit wizard after all." Vivi replied.

"I see. So she made two of herself to increase her magic power. Smart." Cruz added.

With this magic power that I have at the moment,

I can't produce the power that I did the, even with two of me...

But I'll show you!

"Wh-What's this?!" Flare exclaimed.

"Open thy savage gate! This is Fairy Tail! This is... One stroke that the pride of the guild is riding on!"

88 stars of heavens...

Open!

There was suddenly stars surrounding them. "The sky filled with stars?!" Flare asked in confusion.

"Urano Metria!"

Light started flying toward the arena as the audience stared in shock. When it dimmed, Flare was seen unharmed. Which left the audience in shock. Lucy fell to the ground. "Oh, my! Lucy is down for the count! The match is over! The winner is Raven Tail's Flare Corona!" Chapati announcd.

The audience started cheering. "I win." Flare said. "That's what you get, blondie! You're pathetic! And ugly! And a loser!" Flare starts to laugh. "It was a good magic battle!" Mato commented.

Lucy started crying. Casey watched as Natsu went to comfort her. "I-I don't believe it. That spell should've knocked her out. Lucy should've won." Vivi stated.

Cruz clenched his jaw. "There's definitely something fishy going on here."

Casey looked over at where Raven Tail was. "Curse you, Raven Tail... Just what is your goal?"

A/N: Tbh, I honestly felt bad for Lucy in this episode. Also, I want to say that Casey has no feelings towards Lucy at all. He is dating Sakura and loves her. He just ended up being the one to save Asuka instead of Natsu because it's what he would've done if one of his guild mates was in trouble.
