Chapter 19
The ice sphere proceeds to be pushed by the waves blown by the wind blowing west. Inside the ice sphere are Jojora, who created the ice sphere, Prince Peasley and the bruised Tanoomba. The ice sphere is about to drift towards shore, and once they did, the ice sphere breaks apart.
Prince Peasley and the Tanoomba left the ice sphere.
The prince smugly tells the Tanoomba without Jojora hearing, "She will never know that I bruised you as defense from your assault on me, fellow Tanoomba. Your animalistic, incomprehensible growls will not forge such lies."
The Tanoomba's eyes turn to fury. The leaf on its head released a puff of smoke that covered the Tanoomba completely. As the smoke cleared, a Prince Peasley lookalike appeared out of the smoke.
"You were saying?" the lookalike asked the prince with the same tone as his.
Prince Peasley scoffs and responds, "What an unconvincing disguise, Tanoomba."
Jojora is just floating above the sand and looking down at the sand. She takes her pair of ice blue sandals off and slowly floats down to set her feet on the sandy ground of the beach. As her feet touches the sand, she felt warm and reacts to the warmth with a comforted smile. She kneeled down and gather some sand in her hands as they fall through the little gaps between her fingers to return to the beach.
Jojora proceeds to look at Prince Peasley, only to see two of them. The snow witch questioned, "Are the grains of sand confusing me? Or is the heat of that blinding light up there? I'm seeing two of you."
The lookalike looked at Jojora and pointed its finger at the real Prince Peasley to say to her, "No, that one is an impostor."
Prince Peasley scoffs in overconfidence and says to both of them, "It is quite obvious that I am the real Prince Peasley."
Jojora draws her scepter out and points it at the real prince. The core of the scepter instantly shot a blue beam of light once the core is pointed at the prince. The beam of light caused the real Prince Peasley to be sealed in a block of ice, only leaving his head free.
The Prince Peasley lookalike has covered itself in smoke. The smoke clears to reveal the Tanoomba.
Jojora squeals in amusement and flies towards the Tanoomba to pet it on its head and compliments the Tanoomba, "You can change into whoever you want? That is so cool! You're so awesome, little guy."
Her affections made the Tanoomba become comforted as it smiles and its tail waggles joyfully.
"Ahem," Prince Peasley brought their attention, "Now that you know the Tanoomba is the impostor, may I be free now?!"
Jojora giggles and teases the prince, "The prince of Bean-bean Kingdom, trained to become superior in strength, can't even free himself from a block of ice?"
"T-This is mystical ice!" the prince impatiently and angrily excused. He tries to move his frozen arms, but the ice is so tough that he could not move a muscle from the inside.
The snow witch proceeds to tease the prince more out of amusement, "Oh, no, I bet it is your armor. Luckily, this Tanoomba broke your chest plate and…"
"That's not how my armor functions!" the prince angrily ordered Jojora and the Tanoomba, "You two, free me this instant or… I'll banish you back to Joke's End!"
The snow witch jokingly responds, "That's fine by me. You're boring, uncool, a jerk… this Tanoomba is way cooler, it can transform into any playmate I want."
Prince Peasley groaned and started to scream out loud, both in agony and attempt to move his body in the ice. He starts squirming and struggling. His teeth grit and his eyes are closed and his head shakes. He makes desperate grunts as his breaths are running out because of the cold.
Jojora and the Tanoomba continue to watch until they slowly start to desert him. The Tanoomba proceeds to tell something to Jojora.
"What is it, little guy?" Jojora tries to assume what the Tanoomba is trying to say, "You want to free the prince?"
The Tanoomba shook its head, which Peasley witnesses and tries to double his effort out of anger.
Jojora proceeds to guess again, "You want to drift him off to the sea where that robotic monster could eat him?"
Prince Peasley yelled out, "It's called a Squidroid! They don't eat and just free me already!"
But the two continued to ignore the prince. The Tanoomba answers Jojora's assumption with another head shake. Jojora continues to guess what the Tanoomba is trying to say, "Does it involve anything with the prince?"
The Tanoomba shakes its head in response and points its foot at itself. Jojora replies, "I get it now. It's gonna be about you. Okay, boy, are you hungry? We can find something to eat."
But the Tanoomba shakes its head in denial. It started to run around in the beach before flying up by flapping its tail. And then, the Tanoomba proceeds to fly in circles.
Prince Peasley watches and determines what the Tanoomba is trying to say, "It wants to return to its flock that has been migrating in this kingdom."
The Tanoomba landed back on the sandy ground and nods its head to Jojora.
Jojora becomes saddened and hugs the Tanoomba. She expresses her sadness towards the Tanoomba, "I… I understand, little guy. We had a lot of fun times together, more than that golden-haired but sick-looking prince. Go fly off now, you don't want to miss your family."
The Tanoomba sweetly snuggled on Jojora in her hugging arms. As Jojora let the Tanoomba go, it runs towards the sea before setting off in the air by flapping its tail to fly. Jojora watches in frozen tears before wiping them off. She smiles to see her new friend go off and leave for its family.
Prince Peasley groaned and continued to break free to no avail. Jojora sighs to look at the prince again. She waves her scepter, magically melting the ice to free the prince.
Prince Peasley grumpily looks at Jojora and goes to search for his chest plate in the sand of the beach.
The snow witch laughs and tries to explain, "I'm sorry, I'm usually more friendly towards new friends who are about to leave. But I'm grateful to have someone who isn't gonna leave… that'd be you…"
The prince has found his dented chest plate and reacts to its damaged form with a groan, while Jojora continues, "Because I would become your princess anyway after our playtime is over by my word."
But she starts to notice that Prince Peasley is ignoring her and walking away. Jojora calls out to him, "Hey, are you listening?"
Jojora proceeds to fly and follow him, to which Peasley decides to respond, "I don't intend to make you my bride, Jojora, so go home. Playtime is over. No, you know what, you should come to the castle."
The snow witch crosses her arms in stubbornness. She pouts and answers, "No!"
Prince Peasley clenches his fists and shouts at Jojora, "May you stop acting like a child?!"
"May we act like one for once?" Jojora responds.
The prince groaned angrily and decided to turn around and walk away, leaving Jojora on the beach. Jojora shakes her head in reaction to the prince's departure. She sighs and proceeds to secretly follow the prince from above and behind.
The prince leaves the beach to step on the green pastures of Bean-bean Fields, where many Sharpeas and Sworms are hiding from the prince, but they are awed to see the snow witch following him. Jojora looks around to see the scared Sharpeas and Sworms. She turns her attention to the new creatures she is unfamiliar to and beckons them. She whistles sooth tunes in addition to draw the monsters out.
An orange-lipped, black Sworm poked its head out from the grassy ground. It proceeds to unearth itself and crawls towards the snow witch. Prince Peasley begins to notice the Sworm following his path but does not notice Jojora above him. The prince draws his sword out and points it at the Sworm.
He said to the Sworm, "I'm looking forward to hunt you for my meal, Sworm. Lay your attack against me if you dare!"
The Sworm felt threatened and buried itself back into the ground. Prince Peasley remains in a defensive position to wait for the Sworm to unearth itself for an attack.
Jojora floats down to reveal itself and berates him, "These monsters are afraid of you, jerk, because you want to eat them!"
The prince withdraws his sword and replies to Jojora, "It is how my family live. We hunt down monsters and eat their remains for survival."
"You're gross," the snow witch expresses her disgust, "you don't see me eat a Glurp, an Ice Snifit, not even a Clumph…"
"Because you are one," the prince explained, "at least, you were one. And to bring out a fact, Clumphs are ancient Beanish."
"Abandoned by their own people," Jojora scoffs, "that's why you're no prince of me or to anyone, not even to these cute little creatures you want to eat. You're… you're only a prince when you call yourself that."
Prince Peasley begins to question the snow witch, "Then why are you following me?"
Jojora's eyes start to tear up, but she takes in her confidence and pride to say to the prince, "You know what, it is a mistake. I thought you are fun and interesting and charming, but you're just a selfish show-off. You weren't sorry when I helped you up again back in Joke's End after I saved you from that Glurp."
But Prince Peasley's ego refuses to give in and Jojora's statement only serves to make him even more furious. He points at her and declares to Jojora, "You shouldn't have said that. For further insulting the name of the prince, I banish you to Joke's End!"
The snow witch gasps brokenheartedly, but the monsters around her start to purr and mumble at Jojora, whose will and confidence have hardened. Jojora looks at the prince in seriousness and shouts at him, "Make me!"
Jojora draws her scepter out and points it at the prince. The core of the scepter glows white and summons a massive glacier going towards the prince. The glacier hits the prince to the west, where he hits a wall in the area.
To the prince's right, there are three Beanish troops, whose attentions are brought when they see Prince Peasley knocked towards the west wall by the glacier, which has easily melted into water spilled on the grass.
Prince Peasley looks at the troops, points at Jojora and commands them, "Capture the girl alive!"
The trio of troops brought their lances out and yelled, "For the prince!"
The troops proceed to charge towards Jojora. The snow witch waves her scepter to summon a blizzard, easily blowing the troops away. Prince Peasley is injured but remains determined to stand his legs on the grassy ground. He brought his sword out and charges towards Jojora, who responds by flying towards him and colliding each other's weapons.
Jojora magically turns her scepter into a large club resembling the ones her race use. She swings it and knocks the prince away with one hit. Prince Peasley has finally stood down as he fainted alongside his troops.
The snow witch joined the creatures of the fields to escape from their hunters, especially from the prince of Bean-bean Kingdom who has voiced out his opposition against all other species, even the primitive versions of his own people which includes Jojora, in his own kingdom.
