This one ended up being shorter as well because frankly, I'm ready to move on to another story.

Chapter 19: Seeing the Future with You

Emmett's POV

When Ally and I headed off in the little boat that would take us to our island getaway, it was with a happy anticipation of things to come. We spent the entire boat ride makin' out, totally oblivious to the driver or anything else. We only had eyes for each other.

"Emmybear, I have been waiting for this for my whole vampiric life." Alice smiled radiantly.

"I know, My Allykins. I just hope it's as amazin' as you want it to be." I sighed, runnin' my fingers through her beautiful spiky hair.

"Oh Emmy, don't you know, the amazing part is you. Whatever happens from now on, will be amazing because it's you and me, forever and always, Baby!" She beamed as we arrived on the island.

I paid the driver and we climbed out of the boat holdin' hands. We thanked him in Indonesian, grabbed our belongings and proceeded to head further inland.

For our getaway, Alice an' I had agreed that we didn't want any beds or walls or other distractions. We didn't even pack clothes, which might seem surprisin' to those who know Alice, but she said all the visions she'd had with clothes in them ended with me rippin' 'em off her and her gettin' frustrated about all the nice duds I was ruining. So we decided that our birthday suits would be best for this excursion and only had with us our travelin' clothes.

We found a cozy lil' stream to disrobe beside. It was in a bright and cheerful sunlit glen where the sounds of the babblin' brook were accompanied by a distant chorus of parrots or some other kind of tropical birds. It was really lovely, though not as lovely as my Alice who, I noticed, was lookin' at me like I was somethin' she wanted to eat.

"Yes Ma'am? Can I help you with something?" I teased playfully.

"Yes, Emmett." Ally nodded slowly and exaggeratedly. "You can help me by getting out of those clothes now so that I can have my wicked way with you." She grinned.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" I laughed, shedding my clothes as she did the same.

Before I even knew what was happening, Alice leapt into my arms, positioned herself over my arousal and initiated our lovemakin' right then and there. Yeowzas, my girl sure was sexy!

"Well hello there." I beamed, happier than I thought was possible as I backed myself up against a tree and began showin' her my Emmybear moves.

"Apparently a girl gets a little impatient after a few decades of waiting." She shrugged by way of an explanation.

"Naw, I get it. I've been chompin' at the bit for this to happen and I didn't have to wait nearly as long as you did, in that sense." I assured her.

"Good, I'm glad we're on the same page. Now less talking, more moaning, please." She insisted.

And soon, words became impossible anyway, as all I could focus on was the tremendous pleasure of being balls deep in my glorious mate. My gaze never strayed from her beautiful eyes as we made love for the first time.

I couldn't believe how compatible we were in the physical aspect of our relationship, even from the start. It was like we each knew what the other wanted instinctively without having to verbalise it. And something I wasn't expecting but that I definitely found amusing was that it turned out we were both really loud lovers. I think maybe in our previous relationships, we weren't, because both Rose and Jazz had been more introverted, so we had instinctively accommodated that.

But with Ally? I found myself letting go in a way I never had before and I could tell that she was too. Like we were tapping into some ancient, primal energy that was raw and feral and almost seemed to have a power all its own. As we screamed out our mutual release, my teeth had a mind of their own as they sank into the soft flesh of her chest right above her heart. While I was marking her, I felt her do the same to the back of my neck, probably because it was the most convenient point of access in the moment.

I had never felt so connected to another person before. It was like we had merged in a way that was almost supernatural. Not only were our bodies and souls connected but every single part of our being. We were unity itself. The very concept of the word.

And being merged with her that intensely, it was hardly surprising that when she was hit with a vision of our future...I actually saw it too.

"Oh Ally. She's beautiful." I gasped in awe as the forest around us came back into my line of sight and my eyes regained their focus.

"Did you just…?"

"See what you saw? Yep." I grinned.

"Holy shit!"

"You can say that again." I laughed, kissin' her senseless.

"Holy shit!" She giggled shakin' her head, clearly still in shock.

"I wonder if that was just a one time thing or if we can just do that now." I puzzled.

"Not sure. Maybe Eleazar might know. We can ask call him and ask when we get back to the village after our week is up." She suggested.

"Cool beans. It's gonna be an awesome week, Ally!" I beamed excitedly.

"It's gonna be an awesome eternity, Em."

"Oh yeah, that too!" I laughed, scoopin' her up and diving into the stream with her.

We splashed and played, chasin' each other around in the water until our need for one another grew too strong and we had to make love again. This was a life I could surely get used to. And thankfully, I knew I would have that chance.

Jasper's POV

Bella an' I departed from the family island in a lil' boat with a very nice driver who was actually quite chatty and personable. At least, he was after I had given him a dose o' calm to make up for our natural predatory vibe. He ended up tellin' us all about the best local sightseein' places. But I think after a while he eventually keyed in to the fact that the only sights we were interested in seein' this week was each other.

When he let us off on the little island where we'd be spending the week, we thanked him with a generous gratuity and a pat on the back. Then we took our bags and headed up to the little villa we'd be stayin' in.

It had a lil' pool with a waterfall and a spacious patio. Inside the structure there was a gorgeous bed and an antique record player and not much else. It was perfect.

"Ooh, this is nice." Bella approved, lookin' around.

"Very." I agreed, settin' our bags down. "Now, can I please see you in that sexy lil' swimsuit that I saw you put in yer bag earlier?" I begged with my best puppy dog eyes.

Bella snickered. "Yeah, sure thing, lemme just change," she offered and began strippin' outta her travel clothes excruciatingly slowly, givin' me quite a show. My God, but my woman was gorgeous.

I watched her with a mischievous gleam in my eye, lickin' my lips as I slowly stalked 'round her in a circle. She shimmied into her sexy bikini with an arousal inducin' lil' dance move. Daaang.

"Like what you see?" She winked, divin' into the pool, makin' me work for it.

"Hells yeah, I like what I see, Isabella. I'll always love lookin' at you. If I'm bein' honest...I always have." I confessed as I slid into my own swim trunks and joined her in the water.

"Well good then." She grinned with a nod.

"I shoulda known, Darlin'. I shoulda known long ago that you were my mate. I dunno how I missed it. I'm usually very perceptive." I sighed, shakin' my head thinkin' how foolish I'd been.

"Jasper, you did know. So did I. We just didn't know that we knew, you know?" She laughed. "I mean, think of all the times we stole glances at one another. Or how you stayed to protect me when Edward left. Or when you told me I was worth it, in Phoenix. Or all the times I instinctively asked for you whenever I was upset about something over the years. I always made it seem like I needed your calming influence, but really I just needed you, Jasper."

I beamed brighter than I ever had when she said she needed me.

"I need you too, Darlin'. More than you could ever know."

She pulled me into her embrace. "Show me." She encouraged, takin' off her lil' bikini top and throwin' it off to the side.

"Yes, Ma'am." I chuckled, scoopin' her up into my lap so that she was straddlin' me. I slid off her bottoms and my own shorts, kissin' her all the while. I reached down to touch her where our bodies met but she swatted my hand away.

"No time for foreplay, Major. I need you." She ordered, her eyes pleadin'.

I usually don't take too kindly to bein' ordered about. Whenever Alice would try that shit, I would roll my eyes and take off to the forest an' go take down a deer or somethin'. But this woman? Hell, she could order me to do just 'bout anythin' and I would happily comply.

So I just grinned an' gave her what she asked me for, swiftly impalin' her on my eager length. "Is that what you wanted, I hope?"

"Mmmn, yep. Thank you, Sir." She gasped, beginnin' ta bounce up and down on me.

I tell ya, it was like heaven itself. At least, I'm fairly certain even the pearly gates themselves could never top the beautiful sensation of makin' love to my mate.

"Glad ta be of service, Ma'am." I smiled, nibblin' on her neck teasingly.

"I feel like I'm waking up for the first time, Jasper. Like I've been sleeping throughout my whole life and I'm finally stirring awake." She admitted.

"I know the feelin', Darlin'." I nodded. "I have ta confess though...I'm gonna be real grateful when we get ta go home to Texas. It feels like...with you, I can truly be myself for the first time in, well…maybe ever. I've always been what everyone around me needed. First Maria, then Pete and Char, then Alice. But now? I feel confident in our love, like you'll always be here, no matter what. Does that make sense?"

Bella smiled radiantly as our bodies moved in tandem. "Yeah, Jasper, that makes a lot of sense. Because it's how I feel too. When I was young, I had to raise myself and take care of Renee. Then, as a teenager, I had to take care of Charlie. And then I was a mother, caring for Renesmee. Now I feel like I can let go of all that responsibility and just let you take care of me. Well, like, we can take care of each other, I mean. And we can take the time to figure out what we want our life together to be like."

I nodded, losin' myself in the feel of her body. Soon, the urge to mark her became overwhelmin' and I felt the shift in her emotions at the same time.

As we both cascaded off the cliffs of pleasure, my need to make her mine in the most primal way possible overtook me, an' as I bit down on the flesh of her gorgeous neck, I felt her do the same to me. I pumped two kinds of my venom into her simultaneously as we made our matin' bond official and permanent.

We stayed intertwined, silently watchin' each other in the afterglow. An' it was a very long time before we could bring ourselves to separate, even by a few inches. It nearly killed me to pull out of her an' shift her into a better position in my lap so we could cuddle an' talk.

"Any ideas?" I asked softly.

She looked confused for a moment. "Oh, you mean for what we want our life to be like?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, actually. There is something I ultimately want. Something big. But getting it is probably going to suck royally, no pun intended. So I'd like to just enjoy our time together for a while first, if that's okay." She sighed.

Between her emotions and her words, it wasn't hard to figure out what she was hintin' at. But maybe that was just because I was gettin' a pretty good sense of who my mate was by now.

"Yeah, it is gonna suck. But it's gonna be worth it. Things can't stay the way they are indefinitely. An' while we've been passive, they've probably been plannin'." I shrugged.

I'd worked fer Maria long enough to know how unscrupulous people in positions of power tended to see the world. An' it wasn't pretty.

"I know. But maybe we've been planning too." She smirked.

And that was the moment it all cemented for me. When I realized that the good Lord knew what he was doin' when he put this perfect creature in my path. Bella was exactly what I needed my mate to be.

A strategist.

"Okay, so, move to Texas, weddin', honeymoon, some time with Pete and Char, an' then...we take the fight to them?" I confirmed.

"Yes." She nodded. "I almost lost one child to their idea of law and order. I'm not bringing another one into this world until they are no longer a threat."

"Okay, well, I guess that's decided. Which means our phones should be chirpin' soon." I smirked.

And as if on cue, both our phones buzzed at once.

I freaking love you guys!

Alice's text also included a string of heart eyes emojis interspersed with thumbs up emojis.

"Oh good, it looks like we're headin' in the right direction with that then. Which means that fer now, we can get back to focusin' on makin' love." I grinned.

"Sounds like a solid plan to me, Jasper." Bella laughed, kissin' me passionately.

"Me too, Darlin'. Me too."

The next (and last) chapter is in progress and I'm hoping to get it posted before Christmas so I can start working on one of my other stories after the holidays.
