The golden prince felt so weak. Before even being taken by Zira, he was so strong with determination and willpower. He was confused about how he could be in these conditions. He wanted to say something more but his mouth was dry.
He saw his sister and her friends standing infront of him. He tries to stand, but his stomach seems glued to the ground, along with unbearable sweat and pain to his head. He felt like he had just gotten trampled by a bunch of hippos.
Kion had so much harsh pain coming down his body. His paws hurt so bad he have thought they were bleeding but simple claw marks on his paws. He tried to flexed his claws but his claws only outstretched so far. They will grow back in time.
The golden prince felt pain on his back, but like the other wounds it will heal. Kion gave up and just held his face against the ground, which seem like the most comfortable thing in the world to him considering pain course through his body. It will take a few weeks until he becomes better.
"Ugh..." Kion choked out weakly. "K-Kia...ra, what's going on?" The golden prince instantly felt the urge to rubbed at his back and it hurt so bad. The pain is just too much and just stabbing away at his miserable body.
Not even being under Zira's capture, did he ever felt all of this pain. Kion decided to try and push against Kiara's paw and pushed up with his frontpaw but again he failed and slumped against the ground.
"Rafiki is gone at the Lion Guard den," Tiifu states to her friends. "Kion needs water now."
"How are we going to move him then?" Zuri questioned, narrowing her eyes at them, with actual concern in her eyes.
The golden cub expected her to shrugged him off but she seems to be concern and alerted about him. He can tell she've care for him to some degree. She clearly wants him to be better which actually shock him because she never really seems to care for him by the glint in her eyes.
"We would have to push on his back," Kiara answered. "If we move him in this condition with his back broken, then he can get seriously hurt." Kiara rubbed her head against him softly and affectionately. "Then I can kill him when he recovers."
The young golden lion swored he heard her muttered lowly. He have wanted to laugh nervously or something like that but his throat was just very dry and he couldn't muttered out much.
"Tiifu, Zuri, you have to hold him down, I need to push against his back." Kiara ordered. "No doubt does he want this pain to end. Luckily, Rafiki had taught me how to heal his back."
The Prince instantly begin to swirm until he felt four soft yet somehow calming paws on his shoulders and legs. Usually, Kion would be calm because it didn't hurt so bad. However, his back is formally hurting so bad, that he shouted so loud.
He begin trying to move, as Kiara clenched her teeth and pushed against his back. 'These freaking cubs are going to break my damn back.' Kion was trying to said it outloud but he just couldn't and only do it in his thoughts as the three continues to heal his very wounded back.
With all of her strength, Kiara pushed against his back as he tried to get out of this solution. He wanted to yell and shout out... so much adrenaline and strength not able to be released, with only Tiifu and Zuri barely stopping him from doing so.
Still, the young golden prince was strong even in his weaken state that the two clearly were having problems, but managed too as they heard a huge cracked, and Kion gasped so loudly.
However, his back didn't hurt as bad as it did before. Kiara went over and nudged him on the shoulder, with Tiifu pushing against his stomach with her nose, and Zuri pushing against his face with her.
Finally, Kion managed to stand, though his legs seem to be a bit stiff at first. What's odd is that he felt defenseless and cannot do anything.
Just in case should he fall, Kiara, Tiifu, and Zuri stayed beside him and escorted him out. Kion wondered where his friends were at and wanted to asked, but then he remembered that they may be out on patrol because he always go on patrol around this time.
The three were scanning around for a watering hole. Finally finding one, the three knew they had to get Kion water fast, due to sweat leaving his face. Tiifu and Zuri ran over with Kiara setting him infront of them.
With slight hesitation because they didn't want to get anything on their paws from the water, the two young lionesses splashed Kion on the face, making him slightly groan weakly.
Kion did felt better though. Walking up to the watering hole, the young golden lion begin licking the water with his tongue and allow a slight shiver to form on his stomach.
His tongue still hurted to atleast some degree. Though, his mouth was just a little sore and shall healed in time. Kion stood up and stared at his sister with his eyes watering with some tears, though not tears of pain... it was something else...
Kion cleared his throat for a few seconds and pressed against his chest. A thought came to his head. He remembered Huduma being with them. "Where is Huduma? Is he safe? Is he alright?" His voice seem weak and tiresome.
The three shot each other wondering stares at each other, knowing how Kion is going to react. He have this Dark Side to him and can lose his self-control.
"Kion," Tiifu stayed behind with her two friends, each having nervousness on their features. "He-he's dead. He died a week ago." The tan creamish cub told him.
Kion's eyes widened and the clouds begin forming behind him. "What?! Those hyenas couldn't have killed him! He was alive! He was my b-best friend!" Something inside of him beginned building up violently and he flipped around, unleashing the Roar of the Elders like he never did before.
The clouds were extremely dark. The ground cracked wildly and the trees behind lost their leaves. Luckily, no animals were in that direction and 'Krayt' haven't harmed anybody... or worse.
Slowly backing up with clear fear, Kiara, Tiifu, and Zuri stared at each other hoping Kion doesn't hurt them. What is Kion's going to do? The golden cub roared so loudly the ground begin to crack.
Still full of grief, Kion luckily came to an stop and a ear piercing yell took his place. To them, it was better then that dark Roar that he has but it did seem to hurt their ears and they had to cover them.
Flipping around, he glared at them with fire burning in his half orange-brown, half amber eyes. Comfortably, Kiara stepped forward and patted his shoulder, saying. "Let's go see him."
It was so quiet and so silent because no one else were there. Kion couldn't carried his dead body and Tiifu and Zuri were grossed out and Kiara didn't knew how to do these procedures, due to never being at a funeral but Rafiki did.
Kion haven't said anything since he found out the truth. The Lion Guard were still on their rounds and must be a battle or is a little bit late that happen a few times but probably nothing they can't handle. Simba and Nala insists to skip their rounds and be at the funeral to give support, but Kiara told them to skip it and that she and her friends will watch Kion.
The golden prince just stood over the grave with such grief in his eyes yet he didn't allow tears to form. At this specific age, Kion never cried so often, he always try to be tough.
Even in his imprisonment, Kion never actually cried... well didn't show it. But one didn't have to look close to see the pain and sorrow and just horror in the poor cub's eyes. He seems to lost so much and the pain was hurting so bad.
Kion hurted both physically and mentally in two similar yet different ways. Staring behind his sister and her two friends, he sweared he'd saw something and his eyes widened when he saw who it was.
It was Zira! She had this evil and dark look in her eyes! Her eyes seem to be beaming and gleaming with such pleasure! Her teeth was gritted though not in a threatening or attacking manner but rather a dark manner.
At that instance, Kion unsheathed his claws and he saw purple. Bodies fallen dead again, with he growling. "Ahhhhh! Someone help me!" Kion begin running off. He swore he heard fast footsteps behind him, but the golden cub didn't care.
Suddenly, something blocked him and he saw a unrecognizable cub, standing infront of him in an pouncing position. "Stay away from me!!" Kion snarled, backing up in so much fear. "Just leave me alone!" Two other cubs blocked his direction and Kion seen they held the same position as the cub did from behind.
"Leave me alone!" Kion was about to run when one cub jumped onto him and pinned him under them. His eyes widened as he tried to escape the grip, but he was just too weak and defenseless to do so. The other cub jumped and pinned him, both trying to hold the swirming cub down. "Stop!!! Please!"
"Kion! It's me, Kiara! And them Tiifu! Zuri!"
His eyes flickered for a spilt second and it came to a stop. Kion saw himself being pinned by Tiifu and Zuri. "What happen? T! Z! Get off of me!"
"Another freakout." Kiara answered as Kion stood up and pushed them off, though gently and they allow him to.
"I saw Zira." Kion deduced to his sister and her friends who cast him an suspicious look. Since Kion just ran off like that, it was sincerely hard to trust if the golden cub saw her. Kion knew they probably didn't believe him but he begin to form words but said something else entirely. "She was-I... I just need time to myself."
With that, he ran off and ran up the hill, with Kiara leaving. "I'm going to go and tell Rafiki that Kion said his goodbye and bury Huduma." Kiara declared looking at her friends as she begin walking back to the old friend of the family's tree.
"Ki', I would come." Tiifu said.
Kiara gave a frown. "No, Ti', I need you to stay. I fear my brother trying something stupid that would get himself..." Kiara beginned, but Zuri spoke up.
"I would be here and talk to Kion since he trust me," Zuri declared.
Kiara gave her an blank stare, knowing Zuri never been the comfort type and would sometime make things worse. A small teasing giggle left Tiifu beside her and Kiara also knew what Zuri was getting at. She also had an feeling this is where Tiifu can teased Kion.
And seeing Zuri's frustrated and flustered is honestly so funny and never actually get old. She clearly has a crush on him and likes him, just like, no one knows, she liked Kovu.
"Ok," Kiara nodded with a teasing smirk nudging the dark tan young lioness on the shoulder and nuzzling against her. "Make sure you watch how you treat him though." she warned half-serious and half-jokingly.
"Shut up." Zuri blushed. She knew Kiara and Tiifu is getting a kick out of seeing her weak and valuable spot. Yes, Kion is a big shot of the pride and would get hugs by them because he's one of those cubs who talks and plus his status as leader of the Lion Guard. "I'm just being an friend."
"Ok, continue to being an 'friend'." Tiifu taunted her dark tan friend.
Zuri rolled her eyes but the blush is still on her face. She turned and begin to walked off, into the direction Kion just went a minute ago. The dark tan cub noticed nightfall was arriving and stars were replacing the sky.
As she walked up, she noticed some puddles from a recent storm drying up. The dark tan cub saw her full reflection and jumped over the puddle, her tail making contact to the water.
"You trusted me and I failed you." a small whispered was heard. Zuri tracked down his scent and finally she saw a golden cub staring at the sky, with glassy eyes but yet tears didn't fall down his eyes.
Fearing the worse, Zuri decided to do what her mother told her do when someone needs comfort. She walks up consciously and place her head against his shoulder from behind.
The prince slightly wrinced at her warm touch. "Looking at stars, Kion?" she asked softly.
"Yes, in my imprisonment, I have always looked at one star out of an very tiny hole. and sometimes they helped me sleep at night." the golden prince sighed, his paw clutching his head with little sweat still rolling down.
"Well, can I watch with you?" Zuri questioned.
Kion let out an nod. "Sure," he said.
Zuri took her position beside him and the two stare to the stars. "You know," she said gaining his attention. "I don't make promises to boys but if ever need me..." Zuri gave him an small nuzzle. "I would be there."
Kion smiled thankfully. "Uh, thanks." he said, flashing his right eyebrow to her. She seems to be making him better by justing be there for him and giving him support. "I'm going to watch for another hour then I guess I'm going to head home."
Across the other side of the Outlands, in a dark place a golden lion stood with an crooked and twisted angry look. Somehow, Kion managed to survive and can still stand as an threat.
"You got lucky today, Kion, but next time I'm afraid you'll die."
